CHURCH HAS EMBARKED ON A CONCERTED EFFORT TO SILENCE ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA

censorship

OVER THE WEEKEND I DISCOVERED SOMETHING THAT I ALREADY SUSPECTED. THE IRISH RC CHURCH HAS EMBARKED ON A WELL FUNDED CAMPAIGN TO SILENCE ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE INTERNET.

I’m told that Diarmuid Martin does not approve of this action?

Amy and his Episcopal friends like Lugs Monahan of Killaloe feel differently.

The censoring of my blog began some time ago. This is what happened.

image5.jpeg

  1. Eamon Martin reported me to the Police Service of Northern Ireland for a comment (not written by me) that appeared on my blog. The police contacted me and asked me to attend at Larne Police Station for a formal, tape recorded interview. Of course I co-operated. The police told me that they would be in touch with me within 14 days to let me know the outcome. After ELEVEN MONTHS they wrote to me to say that there would be no further action.
  2. On six occasions, always on a Sunday morning – 10 minutes before my Sunday Mass began – an anonymous caller called the police to report that day’s blog. Generally the police apologised for troubling me. There was no further action.
  3. Various individual and collective entities have lodged dozens of complaints to Google Blogger about individual blogs. A number of blogs have been taken down.

Img_psnibadge

4. Last week I had a notice from Blogger that my blog had been locked and that it may be permanently deleted i9n 89 days. I have appealed but have heard nothing. It is still down

5. I have several anonymous emails and comments to tell me that Catholic individuals and entities have already been in touch with WordPress to take this blog down.

wordpress-bg-medblue

6. I have had general threats against my personal safety and a number of death threats. All reported to the police.

7. At the weekend my Twitter account was locked after several complaints from Gorgeous – Deacon Michael Byrne.

zRim1x6M

There is a rumour circulating among the Dublin clergy that Gorgeous, who is living in a presbytery, will be ordained in 18 months time?

In any event, it seems that Gorgeous is trying to erase all mention of his various “travails” on social media – maybe with a view to ordination?

8. I have had solicitor’s letters from Paul Prior, Conor Gannon and Eamon Martin.

9. Over the weekend a senior and well known Irish cleric informed me by email that he had knowledge of a well funded plan within the Irish RC Church to silence me on all social media.

WHY?

The organised Irish media is afraid to carry all the scandals that are going on in the Irish RC church at all levels. They are afraid of the power, influence and money of the RC crowd.

This blog has been one of the few, if not the only place that these matters can be aired in public, commented on, debated and condemned.

We have only heard a small percentage of what is really going on among the clergy and priests.

They do not want me to tell the whole story and for you to read it and know about it.

In more crude times they would have prepared a fatal accident for me. Some of them are still capable of doing that – or of getting or paying someone to do it for them.

In the meantime they are concentrating on attacking the blog and my social media accounts.

They are powerful and wealthy.

I have no power and no wealth.

Its like dealing with the regimes in Russia, China, Iran or Saudi Arabia – although the Romans these days try to be more hidden and subtle about their tyrannies.

I’ll continue to blog and speak out.

If they suppress me on social media I will still speak out – in O’Connell Street in Dublin or at the gates of Maynooth.

I will accept being a voice in the wilderness.

Many better men and woman than me had to live like that.

Hold fast, Pat, and strength to your efforts. I often weary of the rant of this blog, but that is the way of these things and it is no worse than the vile and toxic stuff on traditionalist sites. I am nevertheless immensely grateful for your energy and courage in managing this site day in and day out. It is absolutely necessary to be a dissident voice – the one thing the Church like all totalitarian set ups cannot abide. There really is nowhere else to go except out of the door altogether. The Tablet is well meaning but, I think, useless, as it is too focused on the “I’m a Pope Francis type of Catholic” camp. The same Pope Francis who said the other day that he had heard of one very large diocese where there were “several” homosexual priests operating. Can you imagine the shock? Then there is ACTA, who are well-intentioned old pussy cats ( cannot imagine anybody under 60 ), but are … well, the kind of people who read The Tablet. I shouldn’t be at all surprised if Gorgeous gets himself ordained after all – he is so much part of the system that it is very hard to imagine what the Church would be like without him. He is just a bit better looking, though not that great, and more brazen; otherwise absolutely typical. So what planet is Francis on? Has he never met a homosexual in the Vatican? Did they all give up the girl next-door in order to sacrifice themselves in the seminary? ( No titters, Missus, please! ) which is the usual bull-shit American seminaries like to put out – usually by a hunk in sports gear bouncing balls around the gym. So Francis is either utterly naive – don’t think so – or another bloody liar! Peace.

Liked by 2 people

Francis only needs to take a look at Georg Ganswein of his own household, who lives with Emeritus Pope Benedict. I mean, surely his real name is Gayorg ? Gays are all around him in the Vatican. Indeed, without them the whole thing would probably break down, they are so numerous. Who else would want to swan around and dress up all their lives like that, if not the gay boys ? I think they add a bit of colour to life, personally.

I’d say your on the money Pat, they want to stay under the radar afraid of whats going to come out next, they don’t want any bright lights shone on their activities. If what appears on your blog is untrue or defamatory they would have beaten a path to the High Court by now, as you pointed out they have the money, why has MBJ not sued for defamation for example. I’ve noticed the tone of some of the comments on the blog has changed recently, it would appear that there is a team actively trying to undermine you. They’ll give up after a while. Continue to shine the uncomfortable light of truth in to the cesspit underworld of the RC Church and its bishops and priests. There may be some good and honest ones, but in my experience by and large they are a tribe of dishonest, hypocritical men who try to hide their doings from those who pay from the pews. Your own dirty laundry has been washed in public, and I think there is little that is not in the public domain about you, and yet you are able to carry on with some integrity and honesty. The RC bishops and priests for the most part are desperate to keep their dirty secrets secret. Don’t let them do it. Keep exposing them. Nobody is beyond the light of the truth.

11.03: There is also a right not to be hated, abused, bullied and harassed. When this blog ceases to incite these destructive attitudes, then it will regain its credibility. I appreciate much of Pat’s analysis but all too frequently he give a platform to some who are very abusive, offensive and whose words incite a hatred of priests. I too stand for truth, justice and fairness but abhir and reject mindsets that are divisive and abusive through the power of words.

Like

1:29 pm: There is absolutely no legal right not to be ‘hated’; nor is there a moral right to such, because hatred is a perfectly human and reasonable reaction to hateful wrongdoing…such as is felt by children after ‘Father’ has raped or sodomised them.

And where is the evidence for your accusation against this blog of abuse, bullying and harassment. All in your head, I suspect. 😅

This blog may express the hatred of commentors against the institutional Roman Catholic Church, but this , in law, does not constitute incitement to hatred, unless intention to such can be proved. People are legally allowed to express hatred of another and, indeed, can do so without also inciting others to hatred. You are not a legal expert, are you?

Bp Pat can see through a crack in the Catholic clerical closet – but look how long the news took to break and how egregious the hypocrisy had to be for the truth to come out.

Expression of hatred and incitement to it are very different things, in Law as in Morality.
You have absolutely NO right (inherent…whatever this means😅…or otherwise) not to be the ‘recipient’ of hatred. Actually Pat, a patient DOES have to request a visit from the Hospital Chaplain. They ought to be asked on or just after admission if (1) they’d like to have a Chaplain, and (2) what religious tradition they come from. Then their names appear on the Chaplains’ list as someone who has consented to a visit. If they have not been recorded as Catholic (for example) AND consented to a visit , then they are considered by the hospital authority as having not consented to a visit. This has been in operation in some Trusts in NI since Summer this year.
If the patient or family member asks for a priest who is not the Hospital Chaplain to visit, then they may visit as the patient is deemed to have consented to a visit. The visiting priest is not allowed to visit other patients while there (unless the patients ask him to visit).

Or someone with no family or friends to make a human connection. Of course if you’re told, hopefully politely! To “Jog On” then that’s what you do. Whatever you do never contact Patsy, you have to get a priest who has the faculties to administer the sacraments. Your elderly parents would be horrified if they were in danger of death and you sent someone who does not have the right to administer the sacraments, they would not be valid, it would be a dreadful thing to do to your parents.

There is a new policy in hospitals. When admitted, patients have to register that they are catholic and wish to see a chaplain or the chaplain won’t be given their details. Correct. New GDPR legislation has made it more difficult for patients to be visited by hospital chaplains. Regarding Daisy Hill, if the family member rings Reception (028 3083 5000), the name will be passed to the Chaplaincy Team and the patient is visited that same day.

Chaplaincy Team you say which probably is a lay Eucharistic minister or a religious Sister. How can they hear Confession or anoint? As useful as a chocolate teapot in an emergency situation as much as your suggestion is.

Was just thinking Pat, the Monks at Rostrevor could have easily done that Sick call in Newry. Maybe it was too much out of their comfort zone. They’re probably dining out anyhow down at The Church Restaurant or the Rostrevor Inn.

Yes, have been to that so-called ‘monastery’. Those guys are heavily into theatrical pretence rather than commonplace reality.
Just like all the other clerical, bone-idle, work-shy bastardos, they canonically demand that others (who actually work for a living), under ‘grave’ obligation, fund their utter indolence and uselessness.
Tell these parasites where to go. 😆😆

@1246: the Chaplaincy team is Daisy Hill is, I think, priests and religious. The poster above didn’t say anything about an emergency. In an emergency, a priest is always available. If in doubt, just ask reception there I’d imagine.

Why not just ring one of the chaplains at Daisy Hill or any other hospital and ask them how it works?

We weren’t asked and we didn’t know we could ask.
People should understand that upset relatives have no idea how hospitals work
A pastor was visiting one of his flock next to my husbands bed and I remarked to him that his parishionerswas so lucky so he asked me if I wished him to pray with my loved one.
I thanked him and said my loved one was good at praying.
Don’t worry about last rites…to the previous poster..if one has done the best he can during life….god will be there for him.
Priests used to my dad every day at home for the fiver under his pillow
