I INTERUPTED MY BLOG ABOUT MY TRIP TO KERRY AND CLOYNE TO PUBLISH A BLOG ABOUT FATHER GRAHAM COLBY RIP.
I now return to Part 11 of my Kerry/Cloyne trip.
My principle reason for going to Kerry was to celebrate a wedding for the Travelling Community.
That wedding took place on Friday, February 1st in the Parish of Tarbert.
One particular feature of this wedding – and indeed of most Traveller’s wedding is the exotic dress worn by the main participants.
THE SITUATIONS IN THE DIOCESES OF KERRY AND CLOYNE
It has been common knowledge among clergy and on this blog that most Irish dioceses now have an increasing number of priests not observing celibacy – some with women and most with men.
It appears that Armagh is particular rampant with gay priests on apps like Grindr and others involved with other priests and laymen.
Armagh has had Rory Coyle, Eugene McCamley etc – and there are others like the youngish priest who came on to the farmer’s son at WYD.
Down and Connor is bad too with gay priests active on the A1 motorway and hanging around toilets in the North West.
Meath has its fair share too – with truck stop priests and others at WYD.
My impression is that Kerry and Cloyne is as bad as any of them – with Cloyne being the very worst.
Cloyne produced the sex on the altar with a seminarian Lomansey.
It also has the older priest living in his presbytery the Eastern European youth.
I’m reliably informed that Cloyne has a whole nasty nest of actively gay priests of all ages and this nest consists of very nasty and aggressive men who are well known to the bishop, Crean, and to the rest of the priests.
The stories of these men will continue to emerge and become public.
Kerry has its King Puck and a number of others – but Kerry does not seem as bad as Cloyne.
And of course Ray Brown is as useless as tits on a bull – and increasingly he is becoming disliked by the priests over his domineering manner.
Of course there is a whole other story in Dublin where Diarmuid Coddle Martin is ignoring things – and in his own way contributing to them.
The Catholic hierarchy and clergy tortured the rest of us about sex for decades and centuries.
There are now falling apart themselves – and at the centre of their collapse is rampant homosexual sex.
Its fitting that the weapon they used on us is now the weapon that is destroying them.
I have made many more friends in Kerry and Cloyne on my recent trip and they promise to keep me abreast of ongoing and upcoming scandals.

Also you mentioned previous that you were travelling to us in Cloyne. You didn’t, you stopped in Adare to speak to a priest about No.1 above. Why not come to Kildorrery? All talk! And I thought you would have visited us. Plz join the bishops queue, your no better than them.

Re the sacrilege on the altar, the priest was widely identified, and it was made pretty clear who the seminarian was. Can we be reminded what action was taken: 1. against the priest not only for sacrilege but for action which raises questions about his sanity and suitability to remain in ministry; 2. against the seminarian whose identity is widely known – surely he is not still in seminary? 3. to reassure the faithful ( who are treated as gullible idiots to whom no explanation is considered necessary by His Lordship ) AND to reconsecrate the altar for its proper purpose? I suspect the answer to 1. is very little, and to 2. and 3. NOTHING.

And what is being done about these scandals by the holy priests of Cloyne? The ‘men’ rendered strong and courageous by the action of the Holy Spirit in them rather than the natural-born moral cowards they actually are?

And what of the holy priests throughout the remainder of Ireland? Are they protesting these scandals? Have a guess.
And some of you wonder why I despise Roman Catholic priesthood and refer to these men as parasites or wh***mongers.
The bishop alone is not to blame for moral cowardice, so, too, are his diocesan clergy, and other priests beyond that diocesan brothel.

Should Pat intervene it would be an act of charity. Unfortunately if Pat were to personally visit every parish in the country he would face an impossible task. You accuse him of not taking time to add several hours to an already 7 hour drive. Now I know that Pat would not mind doing so but lets be reasonable in our comments and in our expectations.
The reality is that the anger you express, while righteous, is misdirected. You you direct that anger at Bishop Crean. It is he who is duty bound to the care of Kildorrery. If he continues to fail you than the parish should remember that it is the parishioners church. Ye also have the option of inviting the Papal Nuncio into your parish, or any of the several retired bishops living in Cloyne, and generally in Co. Cork. In fact I believe that there are currently 4 Roman Catholic bishops and one Roman Catholic Archbishop residing in that county. Ye might also look towards bishops of other faiths, who can do as equal a job if invited to your parish, by your parish.
Ergo, if the man with the duty towards Kildorrery does not fulfil his duty, seek leadership elsewhere. Channel your anger to good use.

Worth celebrating something positive in Francis’s visit to UAE. I can imagine the sour faces on traditionalists sites. My sources say that Brendan Marshall was recently spotted in Kilkenny. Mr. Hickey threatened to go to the police over some incident in Maynooth. Brendan told the young lad he would “ruin him” if he did. Mr. Hickey has the text messages on his phone to prove it. The young mans family are scared and may need your help in addressing this situation Pat.

The plan is that Brendan Marshall takes time out doing studies and then goes back to seminary once things quieten down. He does not realise the bishop will never take him back as he is privately aware of all of this and is expecting Pat to find out in the coming weeks.
Its looks like B. Marshalls days are numbered now. His erratic behaviour, bullying and sexual preversions are finally catching up on him. GOOD!

Just out of interest, is there ANYBODY at Maynooth with any redeeming features? Back in England, Hexham and Newcastle is getting a new bishop, Robert Byrne, auxiliary in dear old Brum, and formerly of the Birmingham and Oxford Oratories. I think he is a nice man in the Nursie Longley mould, but certainly into Tridentine Masses and all the associated tat. I am sure he could sing like an canary, particularly regarding the ultra-camp London Oratory.

Like Pat, I have nothing against the Old Rite, but, as Paul VI saw very clearly, far from being the Mass of Ages, it belongs to another world view, as evinced by the fact that much of its elaborate ritual belongs to an imperial court. Harmless enough for those who are into Jacobites, Legitimists, and lost realms, but, again as Paul VI foresaw, it creates factionalism, and the idea that people are attracted in droves is demonstrably nonsense. Attendance is patchy and for the cognoscenti.

Why don’t you gaze more wistfully on very early forms of Mass? They were, after all, closer in time and in substance to the one and only Mass, the Last Supper.
And if those ‘martyrs’ died for a liturgical style, they did not die for Love and from love, and shouldn’t, therefore, be described as martyrs. (Narcissists might be more appropriate.😆)

+ Byrne is a harmless type, but pretty useless. He hasn’t done much in Birmingham. He enjoys the episcopal life, though. Birmingham now has two remaining auxiliaries, both of whom are advancing in years and not far off retirement, and who are both of whom look as though they could do with a good wash, a haircut, and a change of clothes. Comes of living alone, I guess, with no one to tell you to put that pullover in the washing machine, or to go and get your hair cut. When they go, soon, there will be some openings. Let us hope that they cast their net wide and bring in sane, stable, simple living, good men of faith and prayer. We can but hope !

@6:35pm strikes me as a pretty astute assessment of the situation in Brum. Bishop Gough is harmless old timeserver who rose up through the Archdiocese. Kenny is more interesting, and fifteen years ago was spoken of admiringly, but he too has remained stuck, and you are right, neither cuts the mustard. The diocese of course houses two Oratories, and Byrne likes to flit between the two, performing at elaborate functions where he can dress the part. He also turns up at the London Oratory, though he knows the score there and is under no illusions about that nest of vipers. Lovely set up, the Catholic Church, isn’t it? Though there are a few traddies up in Newcastle, I cannot help wondering if he is a bit luxus for the ex-mining villages. Couve de Murville, who was seriously grand ( and loved it ), was a total disaster for Birmingham, and responsible for the pasting the Diocese got at the recent inquiry, leaving poor Norah to make the best of a bad job with no support from Elsie. The really interesting question then is Norah/Bunty/Bunny/Nursie Longley going to get translation back to Westminster when Elsie hangs up her dancing shoes? Secondly, is he any good? Finally, who the hell else is there, given that they are ALL an absolute bloody shower? And PLEASE not an ex Anglican!

Bunny / Nursey / Bunny / Norah / + Bernard is, from my few dealings with him, a very gentle and kind man. But he is no fool. I think there is a deep vein running throughout him which is serious and considered. And touch if he needs to be. He is very considered, and he picks his battles and does not make a fuss about things if he can help it. He doesn’t have the serious and self-serving ambitiousness that Nichols has always had, and I doubt if he is thinking that he would rather like to be + Westminster in due course. But, I think it is likely that he is one of the lead contenders. The other, of course, is + Stock of Leeds – very bright, very serious, heavyweight, but oh so fucking ponderous and dull ! Stock is probably too young at present, and could be the next but one. + Bernard is the right age. You don’t want someone around Westminster for 20 plus years. So + Bernard first, then mind numbingly stultifyingly dull + Stock. That’s the succession plan, I think.

It’s been revealed this week that EP2 was composed in a Roman trattoria. Says it all really. Incidentally EP2 was always used by Rory Coyle in Armagh cathedral, even on a Sunday because he wanted Mass to be short. It didn’t however stop him doing unlearned twenty minute sermons making folksy GAA references. Little did we know that Rory was keeping a very close eye on the GAA bucks.

Pat, Galway again! What about the priest who had allegations against him for abuse – and a known gay man? He got a new position, is also involved in work in the cathredal while the priest who brought this to the attention of the bishop – on the advice of the safeguarding representative, has been left without a post!! Yes, I heard about this and it’s true but it’s all hushed up. The accused priest and his housekeeper who has been mentioned here before are a nasty piece of work. I’m pretty sure Pat would have come across him in his previous life when he was in Belfast as a member of a congregation off the Falls Road. In one parish in Galway, a very dedicated church worker was accused of witchcraft by him. He said she put a broken cross in his wardrobe to hex him. By the way, his housekeeper goes ballistic when she’s called a housekeeper. She’s his PA apparently.

Yes, I heard that story about the hex too and the couch crying he does in parishioners houses. The latter is well known. I believe he and his housekeeper almost destroyed the poor priest who reported the safeguarding issue, accusing him of robbery, of being a purveyor of pornography and of breaking the seal of confession. I heard it was the priest who accused the safeguarding reporter priest of breaking the confessional seal, which is the worst thing I have ever heard one priest accuse another of. Apparently, this very deranged priest, after all that, is on compassionate leave, if that’s what you call such behaviour. What priest would ever report a safeguarding issue if they knew this was what was going to happen to them? I’m telling you now, I will never attend Mass that deranged individual is saying. I know the Mass is the Mass, but I just couldn’t sit through that knowing he destroyed a good man. When I heard he was parading around Galway Cathedral, I felt ill. If he is made PP of my parish anytime, I will object.

I am from Belfast but have lived in Galway for many years. My late mother loved attending the mission in that church off the Falls. She knew the priest in question. She never went beyond primary school but she had wisdom greater than any professor. She said, ’there’s something not right about that wee priest. He comes across all lovely, but his eyes are elsewhere when he’s talking to ya’. A big question for me is, why did Bishop Martin Drennan take him if he came with a health warning? I have to say, I was amazed when I saw him in Galway.

The travellers are a sub-set of the Irish people. They are not discriminated against: they get healthcare, education, all benefits. They have developed a way of life which preys on the settled community. That cannot be overlooked, and they should not play the victim and expect us to put up with drug trafficking, theft, damage to property, attacks on isolated pensioners and farmsteads and taking advantage and bullying older people in relation to exhorbitant charging for unnecessary and substandard work to rooves, driveways, hedging etc etc.
Were it not for the behaviours they engage in which harm innocent people they would be fully accepted.
They now have developed a recent “culture” of MTV fashion on steroids – yet I remember them with long plaits, tartan shawls and cut off welly boots. The current culture has a very short history!

This site is now so vacuous and boring with non stop ‘point scoring ‘ from what seems like small minded frustrated clerics, that open minded discussion of any subject proves virtually impossible. I should think that highly likely. One of those ordained was a Downside monk, who soon cleared off donkey’s years ago. When is it going to get through that the whole clerical system is bust and broken? One side insists ordaining women is the answer, even though the Anglicans are in meltdown, while the other dreams of young guys in cassocks looking just like Montgomery Clift in “I Confess”. We don’t need priests, any more than we need feudal lords. What on earth could be the motivation for anybody entering a seminary today? Best don’t ask!

Those ordinations by the Polish fathead were the kiss of death for all of those poor ordinands. Imagine boasting (😅) that a fathead who protected serial paedophile, Fr Maciel, had ordained him/them. Even that redneck, magisterium-serving John Corapi packed it in, ministerially speaking. And the Polish fathead ordained him, too. 😲

Fathering children and being a priest are not mutually exclusive vocations. Ask most of the popes from the first millennium. Or, from the second so more recently, Innocent VIII, Alexander VI, Clement VII, Paul III, Pius IV, Gregory XIII inter alios.

Yes, I remember that BBC programme well back in the early nineties following the Sam Penney business. Couve de Murville was appallingly inept, and clearly lying through his teeth; I recall now a vein pulsating in the side of his neck. Bishop Pargeter ( still going, I think ) was also revealed as acting solely in the interests of the Church, but still got away with it. People in the Archdiocese were embarrassed and horrified, but nobody did anything, and it was still business as usual. That’s why this blog is so important. The Church’s method is STILL to shunt undesirable clergy and seminarians around in the hope that people will forget or let it drop. How often do we get on this blog a plea to let “Michael” or “Sean” alone now? And for why? So, Bob’s your uncle, they suddenly become “Father Michael” and “Father Sean”. Back to Brum, I agree with the commentator at 7:28pm that Longley is a very nice man, and certainly no fool. I also agree that he’ll probably go back to Westminster, and Marcus Stock will return to Brum. The idea that Dark Mavis or Mark O’Toole will get further preferment is laughable, so it could happen.

The people who employ the nom de plume Magna Carta exhibit some symptoms of mental ullness. Apart from the obvious, there is the anomalous and contradictory nature of their writing styles. For example, speaking of various popes in the irrational terms they use appears to be designed towards the seeking of attention, as a substitute for the attention someone else would receive in their normal, everyday relations with other people. Do they even communicate with one another? Their presence here lowers the tone of the blog. It’s doubtful whether posting on here is doing any of them any good as there appears to be no end to their need to draw attention to themselves. All very bizzare. One would wish to help them but is seriously at a loss to know where to start.

Well said 8:35pm – the Carta “Composite” are composed of a group of vitriolic queens. There is a queen-in-chief but it is often a case of the “right hand not knowing what the left is doing” as regards mischievous opinings and gratuitous insults.
They are ex-clerics and “serving” clerics – mainly Northerners (D&C), united in their contempt, misguided superiority, hatred, love of gin and tonics, homosexuality and utter viciousness. They make for quite a study indeed.
