FATHER EDDIE McGEE, the press officer for Down and Connor issued a statement to the press last week saying that CIARAN DALLAT WAS NOT THE CHAPLAIN TO ST LOUISES’S COLLEGE BELFAST WITH 2000 FEMALE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS.

Here is the principal of St Louise’s – MARY MC HENRY thanking “OUR SCHOOL CHAPLAIN FATHER DALLAT” at the school’s 60th anniversary Mass in St. Peter’s Cathedral Belfast!!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Here you can see FATHER EDDIE McGee CONCELEBRATING THE MASS WITH DALLAT and yet he told the press last week that Dallat was not the school chaplain!!!

Here is Dallat preaching and charming the girls walking up and down the aisle during the Mass!!!

Here is Father Martin Sebastian Graham assisting Dallat at the Mass.

Bishop Treanor says that Dallat is NOT the chaplain to Maghaberry prison!!!

The principal says he is chaplain to St, Louise’s

Father McGee, in spite of celebrating the Mass with Dallat and hearing the principal announce Dall as school chaplain is telling the press he is not the chaplain!!!

The truth is that Noel Treanor, knowing about the parishioner’s pregnancy and Dallat’s reputation among the clergy, is allowing Dallat to “minister” to 2000 females!!!

And Eddie McGee is covering it all up!!!

The words FOX and HEN HOUSE come to mind.

As do the words COVER UP and LIES

You can watch the whole video on St. Peters Cathedral Belfast website by putting in 60th and 13,9.2018.

Dallat, Treanor and McGee think we are all stupid!!!

    1. 8.35: What’s the point you ask?? The point of photos and a 2015 article is to reignite a campaign if viciousness, intimidation and a tsunami of abuse against Fr. Dallat, his Bishop and priests in general. I don’t condone behaviour that’s abusive or contrary to human decency or that leaves any person in a more fragile and vulnerable situation. Fr. Dallat surely knows this. But the hounding, bullying and harrassing of this man serves no purpose except to elicit vengeful and vindictive commentary. The search for truth or justice does not matter.

What you are saying is that you agree to the young girls / children of St. Louise’s starting out on their relationships being taught by example that it is ok as women to accept being emotionally, sexually, financially and spiritually abused by a male who is in a position of spiritual authority over them. It is ok to allow yourself to be used in all these ways. It is ok to miscarry your baby alone and in secret while your abuser is out dining. It is also ok that this abuser is a serial abuser of other females.
It must be how girls /women are supposed to live because my school says so and my school pastor has shown me by the example of his life that this is how women are to be treated. And he’s respectable and accepted by my educators, isn’t he?

  9. Good work, Pat. The best service this blog provides is to be a gadfly and constantly annoy the cover up merchants. Though I have contributed myself, I frankly have no idea where the priesthood is going except downhill. We are still locked into a pre-Vatican II model, yet I cannot for the life of me have confidence in married priests, gay priests or women priests. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with any of these states, except that, if you look at the Anglicans or the Lutherans who have all these, there is absolutely no sign of renewal whatsoever. They tend to be middle-class busybodies or dressing-up fetishists every bit as ridiculous as the queens with even less conviction. I’ve seen buxom females dressed up in lace and maniples and those stoles which widen out at the ends looking like some ancien regime Abbe at the court of Louis XVI. One of them was parading around like that at the funeral of Stephen Hawking of all people!

Exactly. The usual suspects are always saying how married priests, gay priests or women priests will solve everything. Tired of it! Look around at the sects – they solve nothing.
As for some of the characters presently pushing their way onto the altar, well, God save us!
Go back to ad orientum and see how many want to do it then – when they’re not on the stage.
The only solution, ever – is deep personal holiness, which is derided and not fashionable at present. There is no holiness without prayer, and I doubt there is much of that goes on with today’s priests. NEVER see them before the tabernacle – that’s for pious old biddies. They think they are in a ‘job’ or ‘career.’
In the old days there was no parish office, people did knock at the door. Nowadays priests, in the main, don’t want to be bothered. They are mostly, ‘off duty.’
Most other adults are never ‘off duty,’ because when they leave work they are into their other job of parent and dogsbody.
Priests seem to have more actual time to loiter at truck stops etc. because they now have the mentality of being entitled to Union conditions. Stop calling it a ‘vocation’ then.

  10. It is as clear as day that any involvement of Dallas in a girls’ school, given his past history, is simply wrong and ill advised. End of matter. I’d be interested to hear what the parents of the girls are saying. Would you want your daughter to be in contact with a man like Dallat ? Would you want him counseling, preaching, teaching, being around your daughter ? No, of course not. So what halfwit thought that this was okay to get Dallas involved in this school, in any capacity. Idiotic. Pure and simple.

  11. I see that Pope Francis is being accused of heresy by the usual crew of right wing, hard line, tough morality, group of so-called theologians:

    https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5983408-Open-Letter-to-the-Bishops-of-the-Catholic.html

They don’t like what he has been saying about – yes, you guessed it, the usual issues of obsession that these people get excited about – marriage and sexual morals ! Because these matters, they say, are matters of revealed truth by God, they see them as being incapable of being changed, seen differently, applied differently, or being informed by science and human development. They view everything through the prism of sex and the loins, which tells us a lot about their own psycho-sexual development and maturity.

Let us hope that this is just a last kick of a dying dog, and that we can develop our theology of relationships, marriage, sexuality, inclusivity, justice etc., and get away from a mono focal moral culture that is evidently warped and dysfunctional.

My vote is with Francis. Long may he continue to think what he thinks and speak what he thinks.

      You’re a day late.
I brought this to attention yesterday.
I think we all know, and can read in the letter, that there is much more to criticise in frances’s term of office than his sexual laxity. You, it would seem, ignore all other points because his sexual laxity personally suits you.
Don’t be a hypocrite. Own it.
“Relationships, inclusivity and justice” – you just throw those buzz words in there because you think it makes you sound cool and ‘progressive.’ What you want licence to do, the Greeks and romans were doing a couple of thousand years ago – so that would seem to be ‘regressive’, wouldn’t it?
The 1/2 million of our money he is throwing to ‘refugees’ at the USA border seems to be going to the LGBT/child trafficking contingent connected to one of his favourite bishops originating in Latin America. The fact he thinks he is embarrassing President Trump is an added bonus. Francis – always the player.
I am confident that you will find that you are on the wrong side of history, both Church and Societal.

      Like

      1. It’s also that it is well nigh impossible to get the church to deal with the issues. To me that is the majority of why Pat does what he does.
If you try to raise an issue with the church, you never never get anything done about it. If you receive any reply to any letter it is always a simple acknowledgement. If you actually get as far as meeting anyone, you will get all the right noises but nothing will change.
These are the standard church tactics for dealing with anyone raising an issue.
At the same time there will be LOADS of stuff in every diocese and religious order which is hidden away and ought really to be dealt with.
The only time the church takes action is when it is forced to by someone like Pat coming across the next scandal and publicising it.
I do actually hear what you are saying about the possible effect of this on Fr Dallat. But as a grown man he needs not to collude with the church’s covert way of doing things. If he has a ministry it needs to be published as such and if he is out of ministry that needs to be published as well. There is no need to put a priests psycho-sexual issues on the website but clergy are public figures and there needs to be some accountability to the public for where they are.

If you are prepared to Publish your mistakes (sins) or private things then I will accept your explanation. And one other question I would ask you to think about, does one hurt justify another? I try to be merciful not just to the ones on my left but also on my right. Do we get to side with who was abused more or who was abused less, but I think this one and you think that one. 1. @8.35
      L, are you for real?!
      Here’s your hierarchy:-
The adult Dallat’s job above the welfare, both physical and spiritual, of 1500 girls.
The serial vow-breaking Dallat above a single, unmarried girl living with her elderly mother who was fleeced for her body and her money. I don’t know details of his other victims.
I don’t know what scales you’re using but they seem off.
If Dallat was TRULY remorseful he would not ALLOW himself to take this role in this school!
      What arrogance on his part.
Hasn’t he a tongue on him? Couldn’t he say “Bishop, I don’t feel this is appropriate for me. Because even though I wouldn’t do anything I put my responsibility not to scandalise children first.”
Then we might consider him a man, and not HAVE to speak out to stop this. But instead he skulks around and colludes in trying to do things behind backs, hoping we’re all either stupid or neglectful.
Maybe you, yourself, were outed or accused unfairly but Dallat’s proclivities are in the public domain.
My advice to you in this case: put yourself in the place of a child’s mother who doesn’t want her girl growing up thinking it is normal to be treated like this by a man. What future pain might that unhealthy opinion of her worth cause to herself or her children. She could end up accepting an abusive situation for herself and her children because of this. That is what is at stake! Girls need to be shown that they deserve respect, not exploitation. Exploiters can return to work, but NOT in certain areas. They have brought that upon themselves.
Consider it a residual effect of sin! Which even after confession is still left upon the soul, is it not?

    2. L, I think you may not mean defamatory? That is false. Frankly there is nothing I can see defamatory here, and I would note that I am not aware of any civil action following this blog and the papers publishing these articles about Dallatt. He merely has to write a letter refuting these things and it will be published.
If you are thinking that he shouldn’t have his personal stuff put in the public domain, I am sorry but he has ended that right by being a public figure.
If you are thinking that even public figures should not have personal failings in the public domain, I am afraid I will personally disagree with you forever. I have given my reason above, that it is impossible to get the church to deal with the issues.
If he was, say, a plumber and made a woman pregnant in the same circumstances, I would happily agree that there would be no reason to publish this if true.
So my answer to your question is no I would not publish things about me which are wrong, but if I was a public figure and made someone pregnant in these circumstances I would expect to find myself in the papers.
Incidentally this matter could easily be stopped by a statement from the school to say that the head called Fr Dallat chaplain by mistake and he is not in routine contact with the school but celebrated their anniversary mass. But no such statement has been forthcoming. I wonder why?

Yes I’d be concerned for my daughter, I’d also be concerned of her growing up believing everything she is subjected to in the wider media domain. A platform like this blog has an agenda and is therefore bias. Everything on here is subjective. And as far as defamatory goes, content in an article takes three years to reach the high court in a law suet. You talk about the abuse of girls and of a woman, there is also the abuse of power by the various media and an old fashioned catholic attritude of “It was written in black and white, so it must be true”. You havn’t either heard of the suffering caused by being a topic for ridicule the butt of jokes. A public figure well being the subject of an article like this one makes anyone a public figure. Why is there a photo of the teacher? Why is the school name even mentioned and why is the religious sisters name mentioned?. You assumed my argument was for the priest, but I counted three priests mentioned in this article. see what Im saying. But again thank you for your comments and interest in this. Can any of the issues be addressed without naming and shaming or association? I believe they can and believe that Pat will take what Ive said and consider the matter. This blog has never discussed the harm done to people who are the subject. Kind Regards L

Morning Mass (because it’s necessary to keeping the job), nice breakfast with the papers, a bit of light office work checking the accounts and fixing the invoices, lunch, siesta, trip out for a bit of cruising, supper, tv…..interrupted by regular days off playing golf or lunching with mates and catching up on the gossip, and punctuated by holidays in places where they wear thongs and sarongs, along the beaches to little coves for a bit of relaxation and intimacy. I’m right, aren’t I, boys…..?!

  25. 3:10. It is not I who need to calm down. I speak the truth and by the way I do not have neither lace curtains nor do I have a faux China cup ! Being nosey? No it’s called being informed. That u are too ignorant to understand that is your problem. Clerics in north Belfast are by and large a joke. The ligoneil pp is resented for interfering too much in the running of his adjacent school. Teachers from the nearby secondary objected to his interference. The st Patrick’s pp has yet to attend a pastoral meeting of which he is nominally chaplain of trinity college. Sorry my friend but res ipso locitorum ( look it up!)

  26. 9:18. I do not doubt Treanors credibility as a diplomat in Brussels. I do, however, strongly doubt his ability as a pastor and leader in Down and connor. He oversees a dysfunctional organisation filled with “phoney” priests and self serving Curia. It would have been better if he had stayed in Brussels behind a desk. He simply does not have the qualities nor the attributes to lead a diocese crying out for leadership. He has surrounded himself with dubious staff and shows no leadership of his diocese. Many of his priests are leading double lives and when caught out, does nothing but instruct his staff to cover up. I don’t give tuppence whether you are an ardent supporter or ardently oppose Treanor. He may be a very nice man. I don’t know but All I ask everyone to do is look at the facts. Can anyone seriously and honestly say that this man is a good pastor of his flock.

      5. Kevin Heery turned on Connolly after he was informed of the incidnet. Heery is a good decent Priest and was horrified by Kevin Connolly’s actions and lies of why he really wanted to join Meath. Pat what more is Deacon Kevin Connolly concealing.
