FR LOTHARIO DALLAT IS GIVING PASTORAL CARE TO 1500 GIRLS AFTER MAKING PARISHIONER PREGNANT

“THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HAS DENIED APPOINTING A SHAMED PRIEST AS CHAPLAIN TO THE BIGGEST GIRL’S SCHOOL IN NORTHERN IRELAND – EVEN THOUGH IT’S PRINCIPAL HAS PUBLICLY SAID HE WAS GIVEN THAT ROLE.

At a special anniversary Mass celebrating the 60th anniversary of St. Louise’s Comprehensive College, headteacher Mary McHenry welcomed disgraced Fr. Ciaran Dallat onto the altar.

PRINCIPAL MARY McHENRY ANNOUNCING DALLAT AS CHAPLAIN.

She told the audience at St. Peter’s Cathedral in West Belfast, which included hundreds of schoolgirls “We are honoured to have our school chaplain as our celebrant this afternoon”.

The event was filmed and Ms McHenry’s welcome for Fr Dallat as school chaplain, appears in a video on the St. Peter’s Cathedral website – although on the school’s website the chaplain is named as Sister Anna Byrne.

The description panicked parents of pupils as Father Dallat was forced to quit his role as administrator of the cathedral in 2015 after he got a woman pregnant and then dumped her after she miscarried their unborn child.

In a statement issued to this newspaper last week, the Catholic Church denied the controversial priest was St. Louise’s chaplain.

It said: “Father Ciaran Dallat has not been appointed by the diocese as chaplain to St. Louise’s Comprehensive College”. But that is at odds with how the college principal Mrs McHenry described him at the school’s recent anniversary Mass.

Celebrating this even with Fr. Dallat was Fr. Eddie McGee, the priest who issued the St. Louise’s denial.

EDDIE McGee DENYING THE CHAPLAIN STORY AFTER CONCELEBRATING THE MASS WITH DALLAT

Introducing him to the congregation Mrs McHenry said: “We welcome Fr. Eddie McGee from St. Mary’s University, who is a great friend of St. Louise’s.

Fr. Dallat then appeared at the altar and at no point throughout the 90 minute Mass was the principal’s description of Fr. Dallat corrected by either priest.

In a second statement issued last night, Fr. McGee said: “I can confirm that Fr. Ciaran Dallat has not been appointed by the diocese as chaplain to St. Louise’s Comprehensive College.

But this cut little ice with the furious parents of St. Louise’s Comprehensive College which has 1500 pupils at its Belfast campus.

One disgusted dad told us: “I don’t want Fr. Dallat anywhere near the school especially as chaplain. He is a disgraced priest who broke his vows. What schoolgirl will feel confident asking him for spiritual advice after what he admitted to? St. Louise’s needs to clarify now if he ever has been chaplain. You have the principal telling a cathedral filled with pupils and parents that he is , yet the Church is denying it”.

When Fr. Dallat’s ex lover went public with their affair in this newspaper, he announced he was undertaking spiritual guidance “to repair the damage and hurt caused”.

After a year out of the spotlight he surfaced again as prison chaplain in Maghaberry jail where he still has an office.

Not only did Fr. Dallat’s ex lover reveal how the cleric got her pregnant, she also explained how she had lavished him with £20,000 of gifts before he dumped her “after getting a message from God”!

She said, that after the first night they slept together, the priest – who grew up near Ballycastle – walked into her hotel room during a holy pilgrimage and demanded: “Take your clothes off”.

The jilted ex also explained how she would have steamy sex with supposedly celibate Fr. Dallat three to four times per week between September 2012 and April 2014.

At the time he was parish priest at Sacred Heart in north Belfast before being moved to St. Peter’s Cathedral in the west of the city.

“He groomed me and preyed on me, and then he betrayed me” said the woman who described Fr. Dallat as an “experienced lover” and produced a Valentine’s card he had sent her.

PAT SAYS.

The Dallat situation is outrageous.

A priest who seduced a woman on pilgrimage and made her pregnant and then went out for dinner with friends as his partner was losing their baby on the bathroom floor.

If a drug dealer from a rough estate did that we would regard him as the lowest of the low.

But when a so called Christian and priest does it are we not left dumbfounded and speechless?

Dallat himself obviously has neither morals or principles. Rams in his native Ballycastle would treat their yews better.

So the buck stops on the desk of the so called bishop of Low Down and No Honour – a certain and disgraceful Noel Treanor.

Dallat has not only tolerated Dallat but has covered for him and colluded with him.

He should hace been sent packing to work in some secular field where being a Jack the Lad would be unremarkable.

But Treanor did not have either the wisdom or the balls.

Dallat’s behaviour rests at Treanor’s pedicured feet.

May they both be held accountable in the Law Courts of Christ!

  1. I haven’t even read the latest blog, Bp Pat, all I could see was Fr Dallat’s ugly mug splashed all over the pages of Sunday Life… again!
Bp Pat, what do all these women staff members at St Louise’s see in him? I wonder.

  5. Good one. Bishop of low Down and no honour. LMAO. What a great description of this man. Lisbreen will be going nuts at this negative publicity. Poor Eddie McGee will be asked to work overtime to spin this in a positive way. Fruitless task. It is what it is. The HR director will be apoplectic with rage. She’ll probably be on the phone to the education authority demanding the principals head on a platter. For someone supposedly so educated, Treanor must really be a half wit if he thinks we are going to fall for Eddie McGee’s spin. How out of touch with his parishioners is that bishop. They would do well to ship him back to Brussels asap. Maybe he could get Dallat a job there. A very very silly pompous man, so far up his own Jackson and full of his own self importance. But then again isn’t lothario the late bishop Dallat’s nephew. We all know that the church look after their own. Operation damage limitation will be in full swing by the Lisbreen mafia. Bloody buffoons the lot of them. I’d say it may just be a long time b4 Dallat is at that school again. You couldn’t make this stuff up if u tried

Whoever (and I assume it was Treanor) let Dallat have any association with that school, needs their head examined . The people of west Belfast have gone through too much angst over the years to put up with this crap. Just when one thinks that diocese can’t stoop any lower it goes even lowee

Fr Harry: If indeed you ARE a priest, then all your comment shows is just how far removed from any good sense you are yourself and questions both the quality of your priestly formation and the calibre of candidates who end up being ordained: perhaps “thick” to use your own expression. And some will say that your are simply representative of the poor calibre of RC clergy in general.

That he failed fo do so reveals him as someone very selfish, reckless, unkind and irresponsible, like the many men who do the same every day to women. His response should have been more caring, compassion are and Christian. He may be trying to rehabilitate himself but St.Louise’s school is an inappropriate community for him. It beggars belief that those making decisions overlooked the inappropriateness of his presence in so prominent a school. Is throwing boulders of judgment helping this man in any way! I doubt it.

If he had any conscience or decency about him, he would remove himself from all public ministry. If his bishop had any sense of responsibility and ability to do the right thing (other than choose fine wines, business class airline seats, nice hotels, expensive fixtures and fittings for his residence etc.), he would remove Dallat from public ministry. But, neither of them will do what is the right thing. They will just sit tight and hope for the whole thing to blow over and then carry on brazenly.

How this story can be twisted to suggest that female children are somehow unsafe in his company is nothing short of DISGRACEFUL. Pat, you are a practising homosexual. Does this mean that I cannot bring my young son to your Oratory? Will he be safe? This blog is becoming more spiteful and hurtful by the day. He is a marked man and Pat Buckley will ensure his discomfort. We should all be protecting children and young people from people ( teachers included) who are not good role models nor good teachers. Fr. Dallat should not be in a teaching/chaplaincy role in light of the publicity he is receiving. I’m certain there is some area of ministry suitable for him. However, the self arrogance and self righteous of Pat and his band of boulder throwers (of judgment and condemnation) is hypocritical and sickening. Men continually dump in girls when pregnancy is announced. Many men don’t care. So, Fr. Dallat is in very goid company of a long line of shysters snd reckless, selfish guys who abandon and run. Moral cowards all of them….But out Pat is no icon of purity, chastity, integrity or honesty: I wouldn’t let my children be near him or be taught by him.

In no other profession would someone like Dallat (who transgressed every professional boundary and would have been severely judged by any other professional organization and discipline probably by being disbarred) be allowed to take up a position in a girls’ school in some chaplaincy or pastoral role. Simple. So, why does Dallat / the School / the Principal / the Bishop or anyone else think that this might be okay ? There are questions that need to be asked about their judgement. Have they never heard of risk management ? Did they not even have a clue about the reaction to this once it inevitably got out, in spite of their best efforts to keep it quiet ?

I accept that his behaviour against the woman with whom he had a relationship was outrageous, selfish and reckless and that he should not be in a school environment. Our acceptance of his wrong does not give us the authority to engage in a nasty, vindictive, hateful manner towards him. We are all too well aware of the effects of bullying, harrassing and intimidating language aming all age groups: we are only too well aware of the ugliness and tyranny of social media abuse and poisonous invective and how easily those at the receiving end become suucidal. You, Pat, have facilitated some of the most abusive bullying on your blog and feel you have a God given right to attack others freely. Irrespective of the wrong done by this priest, some of the comments are couched in a deeply offensive, ignorant and bullying manner. 26. 9:37. Maybe so but folk are right to be concerned given the priests past. Too many times in the past we have glossed over a priest’s serious actions and they have continued in their wicked ways. There is a thing called risk management and the risk of Dallat re-offending in his lusty pursuit of women is simply too great a one to take in a girls school. Dallat never had any notion of leaving the priesthood. I would have thought more of him if he had. Better men than him have left because they couldn’t follow the celibacy rule (which by the way is not scriptural). They did the honourable thing. Getting a woman pregnant and leaving her lying on a bathroom floor to miscarry whilst he went out for dinner is hardly honourable by any stretch of the imagination. Given his lack of honour or compassion for the woman who was carrying his child does not make him fit to pastor to anyone let alone schoolgirls. Yes we can forgive but we must NEVER forget.
