INDIAN PRIEST – AUTISTIC CHIDREN RESULT OF PARENT’S ADULTERY, MASTURBATION AND PORN!

Invitation to priest who blames autism on parents ‘should be withdrawn’

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin tells church to withdraw offer to Fr Dominic Valanmahal

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin has asked the Irish branch of the Syro-Malabar church to withdraw an invitation to Fr Dominic Valanmanal to visit Ireland. Video: Marian Retreat Centre

Patsy McGarry The Irish Times

An invitation sent to controversial priest Fr Dominic Valanmahal to lead a retreat in Ireland should be withdrawn, Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin has said.

A priest of the Eastern Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, which is based at Kerela in India and has about 4,000 members in Ireland, Fr Valanmahal has been preaching that the increased incidence of autism and hyperactivity in children is due to their parents’ lifestyle.

Members of the church worship at Dublin centres in Tallaght, Lucan, Blanchardstown, Phibsborough, Inchicore, Bray, Blackrock, Swords, and Beaumont.

“Why does this generation have autism and hyperactivity? That is to say, mentally retarded children are in abundance,” Fr Valanmahal asked in a sermon.

“Adultery, masturbation, homosexuality, porn, if you are addicted to these, I say to you in the name of God. . .when you get married and have children, there is a high possibility of bearing these type of children,” he said.

“They lead an animal-like life. They copulate like animals. They bear children like animals. Therefore those children also, will be like animals,” he said.

The priest has also claimed that on previous visits to Ireland, he “cured” one such child in Dublin. He “stood in the middle of the house and said ‘In the name of Jesus, I command, I bind the spirit of autism and hyperactivity that has infested this house. I banish it. Banish it to the foot of Jesus’s cross’,” he said.

‘Touched by the messiah’

On another visit to Ireland, he claimed to have “cured” a child in Limerick. “They bring this child. Praise the Lord. The child was cured 100 per cent. I gave the child Holy Communion. Now the child studies in a normal school. Not only that child, but her younger siblings were also touched by the messiah,” he said.

Fr Valanmahal had been invited to conduct a retreat at the Syro Malabar Catholic Church in Tallaght on October 26th, 27th and 28th next.

On Thursday morning, a spokeswoman for Archbishop Martin, who has jurisdiction over the church in the Dublin archdiocese, said he had been in contact with the Syro-Malabar community “and told them that Fr Dominic Valanmahal should not be invited here.”

Meanwhile, a petition has been launched by members of the Syro-Malabar community in Ireland calling on Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan to have Fr Valanmahal banned from entering the country.

A member of the group told The Irish Timesthey were doing so as “this kind of personality should not be allowed to do anymore harm to the people living in Ireland”.

They added: “I believe our children, families should never hear another preaching from this priest.”

False preaching

The petition is “supported by Indian emigrants in Ireland. I would like to let Irish people know about this as this kind of false preaching will affect the whole nation and it is a social nuisance,” the person said.

The petition claims the priest “verbally abused autistic kids and compared their parents to wild animals having no intelligence but just living for sex, alcohol and reproduction.”

It continues: “We discourage any attempt made by people like this person who could potentially be a threat to the development and integration of our children in the local society and also their future in this country.”

To date, almost 1,500 people have signed the petition, including Richard Thuruthen in New Zealand who commented “ I have personaly heard his speech in Wellington NZ . He is racist person. He said bad things about Indian kids marrying to Chinese and people from Africa. ”

The petition is at http://chng.it/wrFqyYKG

PAT SAYS

The views of this sub continent priest are nonsense.

He is telling good, loving parents that their children’s autism is down to them masturbating etc.

More RC teaching being used to abuse those already suffering.

Diarmuid Martin is quite right to call for his invitation to becrecinded.

We have enough home grown spiritual nuts to cope with without importing exotic ones.

The last thing 21st century Ireland needs is the arrival of witch doctors and medicine men from tge third world.

1. It’s not “RC teaching” this lunatic is using in his warped message.
2. One of our biggest “homegrown spiritual nuts” is Pat Buckley 🙂

Like

You’re right, Bishop Pat. We have enough home grown eccentric priests.
Ex, the recent zombies sermon. Of course, sexual sins are upper most in the mind of Fr. Valanmahal.
What’s new! It might be more appropriate for Fr. Valanmahal to preach on the sexual sins of clergy
and hierarchy in India, of which, apparently, there’s no shortage, with the recent case of the rape of
religious sisters by a bishop.Children with hyperactivity and autism are not ‘mentally handicapped’
a totally inappropriate term to use. But ignorance is bliss.

Buckley, you move on to a new story which is an old story about the Indian priest without honestly answering your critics about your views on social workers. You avoided some hard questioning about the veracity of your ignorant claims. MORAL COWARD. It’s time you began a deep, serious searching of your own heart and soul, preferably with professionals who’ll guide you to the real TRUTH about yourself. You are spiritually and morally delusional and dysfunctional. God help you.

Like

9.52: You ignoramus. Stupid, silly comment. I have MORAL INTEGRITY in abundance, buddy….

Like

Oh, yeah!
I’m a silly ignoramus, for pointing out the obvious, am I? There’s moral cowards in abundance, in the priesthood, including among many of the good priests, we hear some people, banging on about regularly. So, buddy, you have moral integrity, or so you say. Another of the morally, more moral, than thou brigade, are you? Many in that brigade kept and keep their mouths firmly shut, about the goings on, in clerical ranks and circles, for years.
You’re all on a learning curve! Like hell!
The learning curve, is learning to deal with so many covered up scandals, now in the public domain. Not so easy to hide behind the bishops pinny anymore, is it?
Bishop Buckley has guts! Most of you guys are wimps, particularly the younger clerics.
Face facts, and be honest, at least with yourself. Mind yourself, buddy.

A fair comment Anon @ 12:27 in respect of +Pat’s apparent inability to admit when he has been in the wrong. +Pat, based on personal experience, is well entitled to a personal opinion concerning individual social workers or other professionals encountered. But to then generalise and in a public forum, castigate and demean a whole profession of those engaged in trying to help the most needy, with totally inadequate resources provided, is thoughtless and mean spirited. It jumps on the bandwaggon of public opprobrium fostered by the ‘red-top’ press, and further disheartens a profession already struggling to recruit. Who, in reality, would wish to enter this employment and become the “Aunt Sally” object of criticism? The blog on social workers does +Pat no credit whatsoever. It certainly calls into question his judgment and the reliability of his other “revelations”.
Thank you for highlighting Pat’s “moving on” tactic of avoiding the hard questions.

11.09: MMM, by now most of us have discovered Pat’s deliberate diversionary tactics. When seriously challenged on his very ‘subjective’ analysis ( on the basis of perhaps 1/2 bad experiences), he promulgates from on high, deeming the rest of us as “enablers”, or “part of the system”. Pat never argues his points in a cogent, intelligent way. He merely makes references or plants a suggestion in the hope his lies will be believed and when his “anti” everything and anyone (clerics especially) views are seized upon by similar, he gives platform to his band of supporters to express vile, hateful and nasty comments. They do his dirty work (MC being his chief little puppet on a string). In relation to the profession of social workers, I do not believe Pat when he tells us that he has never met a good social worker (11.14). As Judge Judy would say, “that’s baloney”! This has to be a blatant lie. His condemnation, disdain and complete disregard for social workers is distasteful, self serving, rude and repugnant. He treats clerics likewise. I’m afraid the time has come when the majority of us who comment here are seeing a particularly nasty, spiteful and vindictive side to his nature. Pat thrives against the perceived failures of others. He marks himself as better or greater or more Christ-like against the acknowledged flaws, sins, imperfections and downfall of others. A little like the school yard bully who thinks he/she is better because others are weaker or make mistakes. Knowing many social workers and the enormous challenges they face and having availed of some in my work as a priest, I cannot share the LIE perpetuated by Pat. It is a huge injustice to a good profession overall.

In 43 years ministry I have never met a gppd social worker. After Mass today we discussed the blog in my kitchen. One woman, who has spent a life time fostering and adopting children said “And the females ones are worse than the very few males pnes”.

I am obliged to put this reply here to my own previous comment. It responds to Pat’s meaningless comment below concerning his after Mass discussion : a diversionary ‘quote ‘ adding little to the debate.
I added a comment this morning which as yet is unpublished. In it I rhetorically asked Pat what constitutes a “good ” social worker: one who gives Pat what he wants, when he wants it, and irrespective of whether or not Pat’s request is appropriate, and a priority?
I emphasise it’s rhetorical: one fo Pat to reflect on rather than answer with more evasive diversions.
As an aside, this comment is here as unable to place it with others which only have “Like” facility. I’ve already asked Pat three times by comments why there is no facility to respond directly to some comments (ie those with only like buttons). He has not replied.

This priest no doubt goes home after his preaching to settle down in front of his computer to enjoy some porn and wank himself stupid. That’s what people like that, who preach such idiocy and hate, do. They themselves are the problem. And all the bile filled hate that they spew is such hypocrisy.
There is a wider problem of the importation of African, Indian sub-continent, and Philippine priests. They are so often hard line. There is one young Indian priest not far from here who wags his finger at the congregation and tells them off when he is preaching. Even an 85 year old faithful Catholic woman tells me that she sits there astounded that this young pup, whom she can barely understand because of his heavily accented English, is allowed the pulpit to preach simplistic and hardline nonsense, and to tell her off ! Bishops should be very cautious in filling posts with importations from these places, where the culture is so different. But they are just desperate to get a body in place so that they can keep the ship afloat. But, it is slowly sinking, no matter what they do.

Ooooohhh, we’ve hit a raw nerve there, haven’t we ? Because, in all likelihood it’s true. The more nastily anti someone is, especially when it comes to sexuality, sexual practice, orientation, or anything to do with the loins, the more it is indicative that the person has some real personal hang up about it, probably because they are up to it themselves but in denial. So the best form of covering up for themselves and of defence is attack, and they go on the offensive. This Indian priest should pack up and go back to where he came from where the Church in India is full of corruption and abuse – land deals, financial corruption, bishops and priests raping and abusing nuns, and God knows what else. Who the f**k is he to come over here and start criticising us ? Go home and deal with the shit in your own back yard before coming here and criticising us.

Anon@ 5:16: Not a question I’m best placed to answer! But, for what it’s worth, some thoughts.
A purely admin minded bishop might simply regard a good priest as one who provides the customary clerical services without creating any “problems.” An excellent one might be one who additionally maximises diocesan property,: buildings, finances etc.
On the other hand if a priest is thought of as primarily a spiritual leader, then one might regard the essential role as a provider of interpretive guidance, support and understanding for adherents of their chosen belief system, together with its associated rites of passage.
Maybe like social work: a multi faceted role!

Goodness the comments are vituperative already today. I would hypothesise that a bunch of priests are annoyed at having to get up and do the little work they do all week on a Sunday. Some are forced to leave the bars and saunas in the early hours, and the others forced to leave their boyfriends in bed in the morning. They therefore deal with their annoyance by going on Bishop Buckley’s blog, find he’s drawing attention to yet another Catholic clerical nutter, and berate him for being a nutter himself. What’s the matter, Fathers, annoyed that one of your fraternity gets to jet around preaching his barmy message?

Syro Malabar Epharchy – what is the point? In Lancaster Diocese they have the Syro Malabar UK Diocese, their own Cathedral, own Parish and own Bishop. If Indians want to move to the UK we should embrace that, but why should they be given their own branch of Catholic Church? Why can’t these good people just attend their local Catholic Church where numbers are already dwindling and truly integrate? Isn’t this approach divisive? I’ve also been to be one of their Masses (Qurbana) and they last for hours! Frilly vestments and outfits. Not what religion should be about.

Like

There was a huge kick off in
Lancaster when the last Bishop, Campbell, handed over 2 Churches in Preston to the Syro Malabars. No consultation whatsoever and these buildings were paid for by the ancestors of locals. They have now opened up their own School, another example of segregation, and a gaggle of Syro Malabar Nuns dressed head to toe in blue and lace have arrived. Up the road there is another strange lot who have arrived – Christ the Universal King Order. All Masses there in Latin and all the Priests wear frills, funny hats and dresses. Sad.

Like

Don’t get me started about the RC Church in Lancaster. The Personal Ordinariate of our Lady of Walsingham is another order allowed to operate here, another joke. Our PP in Blackpool is one of them and is has a wife and children, yet the Priest up the road in the next Parish is not allowed to marry or have any relationship. He runs his own Parish, he is a Catholic Priest and no ex Anglicans attend his Church (which is why they were set up) so he uses the Roman Rite like the others do. He covers hospital duties and fills in for others to get cash. It is not a vocation for these people. The boss of the Ordinariate wears a Mitre and has the responsibilities of a Bishop, but cannot be a Bishop as he is married, so he is a Monsignor with a Mitre. All weird if you ask me!!!

Syro Malabar’s, Christ the Universal King and Saint Peter’s alongside the SSPX all like to dress up and love the frills and the lace.
Thankfully True Catholics go for the Holy Mass and not the dressing up or the lace.

Poor + Campbell is a little bit autistic himself and doesn’t always get it. He’s got a good good brain, but the human side is a bit lacking, and I’d say he hadn’t a clue about what the people of the Church think about seeing what they have as their heritage handed over to people of completely different culture and way of life, be it the Syro-Malabars or the queeny French biretta wearing religious fascists of the Christ the Universal King Order. By the way, if you look at photos of the latter, there is something suspiciously homo-erotic about them, lots of fresh faced, innocent looking, lithe and lean young men all dressed up and looking like butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths. Yeah, I bet…. !

Like

No this approach is not divisive. For centuries the church has had different rites. Anyone who doesn’t get that this is Catholic isn’t getting it at all!

What about inclusion? In a Preston they have 2 Churches and a School. Everyone who attends used to go to our local Churches and Schools. Why on earth create their own Diocese and have their own Bishop? A Diocese within a Diocese? Sounds stupid to me.

Bishop -Opus one cold shower a dei – Fonzie, has launched a pastoral plan called ‘Go make Disciples’.
Apparently, this vision for the future of the Church in his diocese has arisen from a ‘Listening Process’
last year in the Waterford.
In fact, it was lifted from Father James Mallons book, ‘Divine Renovation,’ according to flyers promoting the plan.
It might be more appropriate for Bishop Fonzie , to go make disciples of some of his priests, and apply some divine renovation to some of them.
We’ve had enough of the blind leading the blind in the Church.
Then his plan might be viewed as credible and be taken seriously.

Dear Bishop, thanks ever so, you and your kind viewers, for interceding on behalf of my poor Magsy Wagsy.
One finally managed to secure the good offices of the on-call solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He was ever so kind and gave us a bargain at £1500 per hour.
He worked all night long to secure Magna’s return this morning to the bosom of her Mummy.
Magna is a little shaken – slightly bowed but definitely unbroken – by her ordeal. She spent the whole night in the drunk tank with a whole rag tag collection of various ne’er do wells shall one say – some of whom were eyeing Magna up in a most alarming fashion.
Thankfully, she came through the night with her virtue intact. It’s quite an achievement nowadays, at her age – late 40’s now – to be as pure and untouched as virgin snow.
She’s not a bad looking girl, my Mags, if one does say so oneself. If only one could persuade her to shave a bit more often. She’s quite incorrigible. And the beard almost makes her look scruffy.
So, for the foreseeable, she’s under house arrest and has to wear one of those ankle bracelet thingys.
Please continue to offer up entreaties to the deities that Mags can put this whole unfortunate business behind her. Those village boys are downright horrid. I’ve confiscated Magsy’s lorgnette so she won’t be tempted to watch them from the window of her boudoir and upset herself.
She needs peace and calm now and copious amounts of the special recipe we brew here at Carta Hall in the family brewery – an ancient recipe locked away in the vault with the House of Carta collections.

Dear Bishop Pat,
One thinks it so sweet that the two nice gentlemen, Magwa (isn’t his name so like my Magna’s?) and Fly on Th Wall have found true love through your blog. It’s straight out of an Emily Bronte novel!
I wish my Magna would find love. She’s not getting any younger and we’re worried that she’ll end up an unclaimed treasure.
She’s a sweet girl really. Oh one knows she has her little moments but a good friend of mine, Lord Giggleswick of Chateau Giggleswick, employs a zookeeper for the zoo in his grounds.
And he, very kindly, has supplied one with a tranquilliser gun that fires sedatives capable of stopping an elephant. It is used to subdue some of the more unruly animals and it works a treat with Mags when needed.
Even the vast Carta fortune isn’t attracting any of the eligible young men from the right families. Perhaps, one will get Mags to include that powerful prayer in her eventide devotions, “dearest St Anne, send me a man”.
