NICHOLS’ DISGRACE IN NIGH!

VINCENT “ELSIE” NICHOLS HAS HAD A FINE CAREER IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC JUNTA BUT HIS STAR IS ABOUT TO CRASH TO EARTH IN FLAMES.

Soon we will appear at the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse for the second time.

He was there for the first time to answer for his poor performance as Archbishop of Birmingham.

This time he will be quizzed by high flying QCs over his failures in Westminster.

He will especially be under fire for his reluctance to report his predecessor CCMOC for abusing a little girl.

He will be thrown to the legal wolves by Peter Doyle, Bishop of Northampton. There has never been any love lost between these two men.

Doyle, for all his faults, has a pastor’s heart.

Nichols has no heart at all and has always been a scheming, cunning, ambitious climber.

Elsie is now greatly disliked by the Westminster priests whom he has treated poorly.

They can’t wait for him to be gone.

When he was called before the IICSA the first time he threw a sickie, which was really a panic attack over the fear of being exposed.

He may try this a second time?

I was watching the opening proceedings of the IICSA yesterday and Nichols name was on the tounges of all the barristers representing victims.

Their knives are sharpened and Elsie’s bladder will be laid bare.

He has climbed the ladder from being priest to bishop’s secretary, bishop’s conference secretary, bishop, archbishop and latterly cardinal.

I’m quite sure he daydreamed about wearing the white.

He will end his career as a failure and to change the scripture quote: Though your robes are like scarlet they will reduced to ashes.

Why do these “holy” men not heed the Lord – “What would it profit a man if he gained the whole world and lost his very soul”?

Acceding to the request of our Brother, the Archbishop of Armagh, of many other Brothers in the episcopate, and many of the faithful, after consultation with the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints, by our apostolic authority, we declare that the venerable servant of God, Blessed Patrick Buckley, Bishop of the Oratory, shall henceforth be invoked as Saint and that his feast shall be celebrated every year on the ninth of December, in the places and according to the norms established by Church law.

Indeed Pat, your reference to the losing of one’s very soul in preference for the hatred, venom, judgments and sneering you pour out is very apt for you. Your SOUL is thwarted, poisonous and twisted. You need redeeming by the good Lord.

Just because people are discussing the immoral actions of the bishops and Cardinals, does not make one a venemous person. This blog is purely discussing facts (just like IICSA are at the moment – are they venemous?). Indeed it is the actions of Roman Prelates that are venemous—poison to the very core!

Is that you Elsie? Can’t sleep? Aww, well, try not to worry-You’ve still got your red cape—even though you have lost your soul. Unless you repent and speak truth from henceforth.
. . . (But you won’t, will you, Elsie? You can’t help yourself, can you, Elsie?
It is rather apt you wearing that red robe: all that is missing is a devil’s pitchfork. You have lost your crown; and gained a pitchfork.

One thing is clear now that most of RC bishops or cardinals cant be trusted at their word- mental reservation nor their actions.
Felt sorry for some priests but they are afraid to stand up or challenge to their own bishops.
Have no sympathy for all bishops who abused it and with- holding important info such as sexual abuses. Shocked at p Francis instruction or order to Cardinal Mueller re CMOC. It truly showed us RCC true colours as P francis doesnt give a fig about us or abused’s welfare. Talk is cheap but his actions will define him re his papacy.
Surprised when i saw other poster (MC) saying that sacrament of marriage started around 1200AD so it wasnt a sacrament at all until it came along around 1200AD correct? Are RCC playing games with us re marriage sacrament? It seems to me that RCC is re- inventing themselves as they go along.
first 26 popes were married as i recall from my only trip to the Vatican. Also i found out the existence of pope ‘Joan’, who fainted during mass as they discovered that she was pregnant then covered up. Was she first woman priest ??

DU @ 1:21, several of your comments are worth thinking about.
By use of the word “Eternal” alongside concepts like ‘life’, ‘truth’ etc, the RCC church attempts to convey that many matters relating to faith beliefs are fixed, indisputable, unchanging and unchanged, and the like. Furthermore, it presents itself as an arbiter of these “eternal truths”, and that the RCC is unchanged and unchanging in itself: a bastion of God given eternal truths.
The history of the RCC, as you refer to, on the contrary shows that it has continually evolved, as indeed any man made institution will. And, at some time in the future, it will vanish just like all the other previous empires and organisations of the past. And if humanity survives that long, future historians will look back on the more ridiculous assertions of the RCC in wonderment.
I saw TV news last night of a massive new telescope system capable of studying many more “millions of galaxies” known to be in existence. Think about it: millions of galaxies with how many billions of potential life supporting planets? I don’t expect to hear much from the Vatican on the potential implications!

MMM Read Newman’s Essay on the Development of Doctrine. You are wasting your time criticising the RCC for what you think it believes, and condemning it for views it doesn’t espouse. It’s not difficult to inform yourself. You are not the first and you won’t be the last to predict the end of the Church to which one sixth of the population of the planet gives its allegiance.

Yes, I hear that L’pool has a number of disasters in the offing. Poor Malcolm. He’ll be wanting to go back to the buses. And Mgr JW is now the new fixer ?! Really ?! Ohhh, now there’s a blast from the past. Anyhow, apparently we are not able to discuss Father Preston anymore. But the Oscott angle is still alive and kicking. Someone wrote on here that our seminaries are poorly staffed and run, in terms of quality. They are right. Odd balls and people who have a sense of their own importance being sent to these places, without a clue about formation of any kind, spiritual and human. Is it any wonder we get the little twerps we get for priests ? The serious part of this debate is how the Church sees ministry and priesthood and how it provides priests for the future, which they tell us are important because we need the Sacraments to be provided. Well, if that is the case, then they need to get the finger out and provide them, but properly formed and emotionally, sexually, and humanly stable. We are not getting that at the moment. The system is broken. It needs fixing. We all know that. Ask the people in the pews what they want, and they most certainly do not want the Prestons of this world, or that self-important twat Clarke, or Jolley, or any of the pimped up young fogeys what are currently coming out of the seminaries that we are paying for. Bishops, take note.

You are allowed to discuss Father Preston, but not in the contezt of the current case before a Liverpool court.

I see the Catholic Church in England and Wales is thinking about a “victims’ redress scheme”. Amazing ! You would have thought over the last couple of decades they might have thought about this before, rather than waiting until they have been dragged through all the filth and dirt that has come out in IICSA and other places. It’s a bit like Cardinal Nichols saying that he had suddenly come to see the abuse from the victims’ perspective, at long last ! Up until then he was looking at the thing as a problem to be overcome, to be hidden, to be covered up, to be denied, to be minimised (rememberer how he used to preface remarks about abuse in the Church by saying that most abuse took place in other institutions and in and families ?). Transference. Denial. Are we actually sure that he really believes what he now says ? Or has he just taken the PR advice. I’d love to hear what he really thinks in private. And, I guess, uppermost in his mind will be how misunderstood he is, and how people get at him, and how his priestly and episcopal career has been marked by the abuse scandal. In other words, it’s all about him, and how it has affected him. This business of the redress scheme will be a means of trying to. buy off and minimise the victims, looking to be seen to be compassionate and caring. But in reality, for the Church by and large, they just wish this thing would go away. It’s affecting business as usual for them, and they find it a huge inconvenience. Don’t believe the hype. They have not changed. If they really understood and cared, seeing it from the victims’ point of view and redress schemes to help them would have happened decades ago. Not just now. Conveniently.

I know nothing of Father Preston’s court case so trust Pat will prevent any comment that will cross over into that territory. His name, however, has cropped up in a number of situations that question his judgment. I am less bothered by his own get up at some kind of Vicars-and-Tarts party than by his allowing, as PP, a foolish and deluded young man to advertise himself in such a way in the parish newsletter just before his ordination. Moreover can it really be the case that he was assisted as Vocations Director by the disgraced and depraved Matthew Jolley? We shall see what comes out of this legal proceeding, but clergymen and the courts rarely go well together. Given therefore that are are some questions, why on earth did McMahon think it appropriate to send him to Oscott of all places, where there are also many concerns? Somebody also mentioned strange goings on in Chorley … if even Chorley has fallen, what next?

There is a civil case in Liverpool between Liverpool archdiocese and several of its priests against an ex Liverpool seminarian for harrassment. The seminarian is the defendant. Previously the public prosecutor declined to prosecute in a criminal case. This is the case we cannot discuss as the judge has made it sub justice.

Like

who harassed who? the priests are accused of harassing the seminarian or the other way round?

Like

WELL ,WELL, WELL! If this is true, then we see the reality of the lack of faith of the clergy in the RC diocese of Liverpool! Do they pay attention to the gospels? Do they think there will be greater discernment outside the Church?
If this turns out to be a group of corrupt clergy intimidating a single abused seminarian there will be a judgement that they may not expect! As a matter of interest, is the money we give to the church being used to support this seminarian’s legal expenses or just those of the clergy? When the Devil thinks he has won and corrupted the whole church (which seems to be getting closer and closer) where will the remnant be?

A few years back, there was a older seminarian training at the Beda. His ex girlfriend rang Malcolm’s secretary and said tat he had adandoned her and their disabled child.
Carl got a call from Malcolm. ‘Get on the plane tonight and be at my house for 10 tomorrow.
When Carl got there (Preston was sitting on the chair in the living room) the bishop ran at Carl and slammed the living room sour shut and screamed at him.’You’ve got a disabled child and you’ve fucked off to Rome to train to be a priest! You fucking cunt.’
But it turned out that Carl’s ex gf was a woman scorned and they had no disabled child.
My own experience of Malcolm’s temper is quite disconcerting, I can tell you!

‘Model of priedthood’. Now, that’s turning into a global joke.
Did you not know; clerical, egotistic, narcissistic, me myself I only and ‘my priesthood’ is endemic in clerical circles. Ordination makes one a superior form of life to be treated differently, to the point of getting a reduced prison sentence because of being a priest, as in Jolleys case, mentioned on this blog yesterday.
Look at the poser in the picture above, not to mention Burke et al.
Meanwhile, untold suffering could have been prevented for thousands years ago.
Church policy dictated otherwise.
Would Jesus Christ condone such behaviour, supposedly done for the good of his Church?
Spewing from the mouth comes to mind.

Seminaries are filled with priests unable to work in parishes. This is why new priests are unfit for ministry. In Elsie’s own seminary in London, it’s stocked with 2 cradle catholic’s and 4 former anglicans. And a strange ordinarate priest in charge of studies and exams. He could have his own blog. What is Elsie and Carmel thinking.

Vincent’s seminary in Chelsea was a homosexual paradise for years. It has only cleaned up its act after a few decades. It had such a turn over in Rectors over the past few years that Seminarians didn’t know where they were coming or going. The earlier poster is correct to highlight the take over of Seminary staff as ex Anglicans who are recognised by the C of E as bitter homosexuals who they were glad to get shot of because they didn’t want females in frocks spoiling their appearance. Westminster is now influenced by ex Anglicans at every high level (+Vincent’s doing) that the rest of the cradle Catholic clergy are so despondent and isolated. That is Nichols legacy to Westminster. He started promoting ex Anglican clergy in Birmingham such as the Phantom and many others so he has been at this for years. I believe it will be his downfall as he has alienated Catholic clergy and many want to see him gone as a result. He has destroyed the Church in England & Wales. More importantly by his inaction he has helped to destroy victims of clerical abuse and prolonged their immense hurt and pain. Resign now. You have zilch credibility left.

Like

The phantom is well known in Anglican circles as Brian Doolan. It’s a cruel name after candles fell on him and scarred him for life. I believe the name was derived, dear, as a result of a popular west end show. It was his fellow Anglican clergy who callously named him this before he even set his clog into the RC Birmingham place. Vincent promoted him rapidly within Brum.

Like

Poor Phantom assigned now to Banbury in Oxon. He is a decent sort. However, Birmingham was aware of a predecessor of his, Fr Bede Griffiths, who had the most appalling record of minor abuse. He was a trusted member of the Birmingham Marriage Tribunal dealing with annulments. Silly Bede was watching child porn on his laptop on a train and was spotted by another traveller. Birmingham has been a cesspit plus now Westminster.

Like

I correct myself and stand corrected personally. It was Bede Walsh in Banbury. Mea Culpa. There was another Griffiths too but in this particular case it was Bede Walsh of Banbury and predecessor of the Phantom.

Like

Walsh was more than silly. The train incident was only one of many appalling abuses which got him sentenced to 22 years. He is one of a number of infamous names in Birmingham Diocese. Just to set the record straight, Bede Griffiths was a Benedictine who set up some kind of ashram in India; not my cup of tea, but I think he is considered to have been rather distinguished RIP. Nice touch of Anglo-Catholic humour re the Phantom – what was he doing with all those candles? 40 hours devotion? Sounds harmless with an interest in Catholic bondieuserie ( I have been longing for a chance to use that word! )

Mgr Roger Reader of Archdiocese of Birmingham was indeed Vice Rector at Eng college, ¥@11@d@1id (she was National Bishops’ Advisor for prisons beforehand). She was a VERY close friend of CMOC and nursed him during his last days. She ( against the idea women priests) started at the college during the academic year of 2017 but did not move in until January 2018.
(The last Rector Mgr John Pardo had a BIG CLASH with the newly appointed then Vice R in 2016 and Pardo RAN, sensibly, deserting the hell hole… Then the vice assumed the role of Rector! (/hence Reader being appointed vice last minute/).
Without mentioning names, there was a BIG CLASH within months ((patern)) with Pardo’s Successor and Reader packed her bags and vsnidhed back to Westminister to do Assistant work until something better came along after (Reader was very sensible to do so; especially if she did not be associated with a dangerous narcissistic ticking time bomb. . .).
