FATHER KELLY DANCING WITH RYAN TUBRIDY ON THE LATE LATE 😥

DOES ANYONE ELSE FIND THE SINGING PRIEST RAY KELLY EMBARRASSING?

There is absolutely no doubt that he has a very good voice.

In fact I wrote to him when his singing first hit the news and congratulated him on his voice.

But has the attention gone to his head and is making him behave embarrassingly?

Those of us of a certain age, and not endowed with external beauty, need to conduct ourselves in a manner that suits our age, our appearance and our state in life.

And we all have to resist that narcissistic part that is in all of us that suggests to us that we are something that we are not.

So many priests nowadays present themselves as PERFORMERS when that is not what we are.

We priests, when it comes to Mass and the Sacraments are “celebrants” and “presiders”.

In the rest of our lives we are “pastors”.

Of course the Mass or Sacraments become more meaningful when the celebrant is warm and has the gifts of good preaching or even a good voice to lead the singing.

But our basic calling is to put Jesus Christ at the centre – and not ourselves.

Maybe priests, who are neither fathers or husbands are pushed towards narcissism because they live alone or do not have to negotiate their personal spaces to include a partner and children.

And on top of that goes the adulation priests gave traditionally received.

Pedestals are alright – but you run the risk of thinking you are better or different.

Father Kelly was apparently angry that he was not asked to sing for Pope Francis in Ireland?

I think he has lost his contract with his recording company too?

But he still has the best contract any priest could have – to be a parish priest.

Celebrity has gone to Ray Kelly’s head, not to mention, perhaps, his conscience.
Kelly says he’s very easily sucked into these things (celebrity stuff) as if he’s being impelled against his will. Well, he is…if you take personal ego-tripping as an external and irresistible force.
But here’s the puzzle for me: why do Irish Catholics continue to adulate men who represent one of the most morally corrupt and criminal institutions in human history? The mind boggles, and baffles itself, in equal degree.
Personally, I’d be embarrassed to appear on television with such a man, and not just for his juvenile behaviour with Tubridy.
Do the Irish really have such short memories?

Pat, your assessment of Fr. Kelly is embarrassing. Your notion of what a priest should/shouldn’t be is suspect and very questionable. Who are all the “priest performers” you speak of? The majority of us get on with our work and lives quietly, without any nonsense and do our best. Why do you feel the need to constantly condemn priests like Fr. Darcy, Fr. Kelly, the 3 Singing Padres etc…? Why? I am not a fan of any of them but it intrigues me as to your motivation to criticise, name call and denigrate these men. I know from a family relative who lives near Fr. Kelly’s parish that he is loved by his parishoners, is well supported and does a huge amount for worthy charitable causes. He has brought many people back to the Church. Do you feel threatened by other priest’s popularity? Seems you do. I think it is important to share your gifts, even singing, for the purpose of sharing good news, and, it is important that a certain clientele can call on priests like Fr. Darcy to officiate at family funerals and other occasions. He has a gift for particular moments, something you and I don’t possess. Let’s encourage and affirm these priests who put themselves out there in the public domain knowing that they may be ridiculed – by people like you, stuffy face. Do you seriously want us to believe that you and you alone present the ideal of priesthood? Take look at some of the horrible things you have written and allowed to be printed on your blog. Pat, like many priest’s, you struggle with living the gospel. I do and thus I would never compare anyone against my fragmented, imperfect priesthood. As to being a narcissist – you are right: priests, including your good self, fall prey to it and so you know how unattractive a virtue it is. But Please Pat: spare me the repeat mantra that all priests are an embarrassment. Let Ray be Ray and Brian be Brian. No one is stopping you from being Pat even when you’re an embarrassment. Do angels visit you at night to give you messages to give to all others than yourself.

Some of the Irish ‘priest performers’ of the past were multi-talented, gifted and humorous, with a song for any occasion, if called upon. Meanwhile, performances of a different kind were going on in their private lives, contrary to what they professed publicly. 😱 Remember the famous ‘Holy Show’. They often featured on the box.📺

Bloody eejits is what they are. “Oh look at me. I wear a Roman collar and I can sing”! A little humility would go a long way. Keep their singing for church and the bathroom not BGT or Sony record deals. Just another act in the RCC Circus. Message to Ray Kelly – “Catch yourself on ya big eejit and wise up”. 9:01. Would you listen to yourself. Yeh singing on BGT is reaching out to people ! It is self serving, self seeking adulation. Nothing more, nothing less . I’m sorry you find the true way of living the gospel such a bore. Tell me, why should a priest seek the limelight for their own vanity. It seems that no matter what this crowd do, there will always be apologists, enablers and facilitators. Get a grip and wise up. Ray Kelly had his moment of fame when the YouTube video of him singing at a wedding went viral. Now we have a priest riding out of a church on an electric scooter. Where was Christ in all of this? Why dont these clerics leave entertainment to those who choose that profession and concentrate on preaching and living the gospel. Is it any wonder the RCC church is in a mess ? Are these all distraction tactics to take away from the horror show that is being exposed in the RCC. They already have bananarama in the guise of the three warbling priests. Is Kelly hoping to jump on the bandwagon, join up and rename themselves the fun boy four and the priest on the scooter could be the warm up act. I’m not against a bit of fun but given the enormity of the problems facing the RCC it would be wiser if these “performers” got on with what the believe they have been “called” to do. I said it before that the RCC is a circus. There seems to be a queue of willing clerics wanting to get in on the act. Go and put your defenses to the thousands of men, women and children who have been abused by the RCC. I’m sure it sickens them to the core when they see these muppets on stage, smiling, laughing and dancing. But no matter what the truth is there are those who either choose to ignore or conveniently forget about the abuses.

Mammy told them they were so special, and so they wanted to be special for the rest of their lives. Well, I can do without adding to that. I just wish they would concentrate on their parish roles. How does my post at 12:49 pm constitute hatred? I pointed out very uncomfortable truths.
If hatred has been exhibited, its exemplified in the inhumanity towards those abused by Church personnel.
The abuse , along with cover ups, is outrageous, irrational and immoral. The Pope is being sued, so widespread is this culture of abuse and cover up in the Church. By the way, when it comes to funerals, the clergy do not own the Church. I’m as much a member of the Church as any cleric. Clerics are servants, not masters or dictators.

Let me begin this post by stating categorically( in case some jump up and down) that I do not hate clerics. However I detest clericalism and all the evils it brings with it. Quite a fe of you including the mysoginist Lollipop Josie have been quick to denounce anyone criticising “fame hungry” priests. I don’t know Rat Kelly but I cringe when I see him. If he or the performing crooners believe that they are good enough why don’t they appear as themselves rather than using their Roman collars to open doors. They are using and being used by a fickle entertainment Industry and they are more concerned about their own dame. Let them sing. Let them dance and let them write as long as their actions glorify God, not for profit, not for self seeking adulation or backslapping, not for political Disney awards like MBE’s. If they truly believe that they have been called to be shepherds of Christ, then get on with the job and in everything they do bring glory to God. Now sadly we have seen that the church they belong to doesn’t follow this theory. It is a self seeking, back slapping cabal of chancers who take money off the poor, cover up their abuses, hide money in illegal schemes. If that’s the leadership that these priests are given then who can blame them for wanting in on the act? But please please do not dress it up in any other way just because these men wear Roman collars. None of us are perfect but I for one can say that I’m not a hypocrite. And lollipop Josie please do not tell any woman to wash her dishes. That comment from you speaks volumes about your mind you foolish foolish little man. I just have to wait my time
Then I’ll get the cheque book
And buy some expensive wine
Yes, there’s things gone wrong
With some mothers son
But don’t be too quick to judge us

I’ve listened to the scandals
They done worry me in the least
For I’m among the chosen ones

Inside I’ve been changed
And I can do no wrong
I think I need new boxers
Or maybe even a thong
I’ll see my name in headlights
Truly I’ll be a star
I’ll wear my Roman collar
Which will take me to afar
One day I’ll be rich
Of that you can be sure
I don’t give a damn
About the hungry or the poor
I’ll sit amongst the gentry
And enjoy their lavish feast
Nothing more than I deserve
For I’m a Roman Catholic priest
Who’s this guy called Jesus
Who called children to his knee
I’m much too busy singing
That crap is not for me
Repent and be saved he says
As I ski here on the piste
That must be for someone else
For I’m a Roman Catholic priest
I think I’ll sip some Chardonnay
Or maybe some Sauvignon blanc
As I sit here and count my money
And hide it in Vatican bank
Alas I must retire
And sleep in my comfy bed
Watch beauty and the beast
Oh what a life this is
I’m a Roman Catholic priest
And as I drift to slumber
And dream of what I’ve been paid
Perhaps one day I’ll get to Rome
And someday I’ll wear red
I know the chances are minimal
But I can dream and hope
If I get a record deal
They might even make me Pope
So goodnight to you one and all
You begrudgers, filthy beasts
Leave us all alone
We’re holy catholic priests

Sarah claimed that he and Benedict co-authored the book, soon to be released and already the subject of heated controversy and accusations of betrayal of Pope Francis. Benedict did contribute at least one essay to the book (Et tu, Brutus), but the spineless ex-Nazi is now trying to distance himself from both the book and from Sarah.

What happens next is like what happens when someone throws a piece of bleeding meat among a pack of wild dogs.
The person, whose name has been thrown into the arena by Big Buck, is the piece of bleeding meat.
The ravening dogs are the various trolls and Buckbots who proceed to rip that person asunder.
Today it is Ray Kelly. Tomorrow it could easily be you.

Your innate sense of melodrama is almost as ‘extraordinary’ as Ray Kelly’s crooning.

Ever considered a career change…to penning fiction? 😕

Spot on 6:19pm. And obviously you’ve touched a nerve or two – including “Magna” the most wicked of them all.

When inconvenient truth is spoken to preferred falsehood and spin, its purveyors are often called silly names, like ‘wicked’, or ‘blasphemer’, or ‘Beelzebul’.
Thanks for the compliment.👍

Yes that’s so true Mags! You so so so much remind me of Jesus in your every utterance. Blessed are the persecuted, Mags. It’s a Holy Terror what you are put through on her.

I honestly feel this was not a useful topic today. We all know about wannabe Fr Ray Kelly and his ego. We could have had a great blog on sexy Meghan.

Alas I can’t get married
Cos Benedict has decreed
Does he know anything
Does he know I have my needs
No matter what we do
It seems we just can’t win
Never mind darling
We’ll continue to live in sin
I’ll continue to preach
And tell the folk what’s right
And all the while
I’ll shag away at night
We’ll continue to rob them blind
To buy expensive things
What does it matter
If we can’t exchange our rings
We’ll talk behind the faithfuls backs
At least they have some use
And nod at the appropriate time
When they bring up the subject of abuse
For really we don’t care
About this gospel thing
We are only out for ourselves
And the perks that this job brings
We’ll baptise your children
Hear confessions too
We’ll visit your sick in hospital
That’s just what we’ll do
We’ll do whatever we want
And never take the blame
For being a Roman Catholic priest
To us is just a game
So continue to give us your money
We’ve got partners we have to keep
And remember we’re the shepherds
And you are just the sheep
So keep on spouting Benedict
You’re old and such a tool
I’ll shag all I want
Cos u know that im no fool

Think Magna has hit it in the head when he says they’ll pray for you for a price. These cuckoo’s know that they ain’t getting their reward in heaven. I’ve met many many priests and I could count on one hand how many came across as genuine. The whole outfit is a sham and more and more they’ve been found out. Most people aren’t afraid of them anymore. They ruled by instilling fear in us from the cradle to the grave. What have they left in their armour now that the fear is gone! Certainly not the gospel of Jesus Christ. They ALL, every last one of them, should hang their heads in shame for being part of a terrorist cabal.

8 14: A most disingenuous, dishonest and offensive a comment, one of many that perpetuate the lie that we’re all crazy. I presume you idolize Pat?? You should look beyond this blog and not depend on it for truth. It is totally unfair to demonize all clergy. It is unjust and un Christ like to cast this slur on everyone. A new form of oppression and judgment is taking root in so many, as exemplified in your comment. The times we live in are weird.

To the tune of mickey marleys roundabout:
Pope Frankie has a wee church
That leaves the faithful in the lurch
His priests perved and shagged all about
Until someone, they found out
CHORUS
Round and round and up and down
Through the streets of Belfast town
All the children come and shout
Watch, the priest has his Micky out
As children we had to go to Catholic school
They’d save our souls
That was the rule
The brothers were strict
They’d batter you
With their fists and with their shoe
Chorus
Round and round and up and down
The brothers shagged the children in Belfast town
All the children come and shout
Watch, the brothers got his Micky out
We used to dread each PE day
Stripped in the showers
In case he would say
Come with me little boy
And have a feel of my wee toy
CHORUS
And then we left
And went to big school where
Instead of the brothers, the priests they ruled
They’d smile to your parents
Before banging your head
Kick you in the ground
Till you played dead
CHORUS
They’d talk of Christ as if He was their mate
And then ask if you did masturbate
They’d take you for a ride in their wee car
Give you sweets from a great big jar
And tell you it was for your own good
Take it out and play with your wood
CHORUS
Sung slowly
But pervy brothers and priests grow old
Their secrets safe and never told
But we’ve grown up
Our stories to tell
And those bastards they can rot in hell
Round and round and up and down
They shagged their way through Belfast town
All the children come and shout
The priest he has his Micky out

Why was an Irish priest, living in the Republic of Ireland on Britain’s Got Talent? I could understand him appearing on the Irish version of the show. Have the 26 counties been reoccupied with a Lord Lieutenant back in the Park? What made the missionary think he should be on BGT?

The contest is open to Irish residents since it started and in the early days they held auditions in Dublin too. That’s how Niall Horan got his break.

Meath has black listed Kevin Connolly as more revelations has been revealed over the Stamullen incidnet. Yes we know about Stephen Wilson, however also a senior Servite Liturgy Professor is also implicated in the incidnent. Let’s just say Kevin Connolly was like Byrne passed around the network like a yoyo.
