CIARAN O’CARROLL’S SUDDEN, MID YEAR DEPARTURE FROM THE IRISH COLLEGE IN ROME IS REMARKABLE.
It would have been unremarkable had it happened in June when the college closes for the summer
Is there a scandal at all behind the departure?
Or is it just that Diarmuid Martin wanted to set him up with a new job before he retires next month?
Or is he being put in place to be the new archbishop or a new auxiliary?
Has Dermo put in a word for him with the Congregation of Bishops?
It seems to be clear from some comments on this blog that he is not that popular with Dublin priests?
I think it might be important that the vicar for clergy be liked by the clergy he is vicar for?
We know Ciaran would have been involved in the decision not to retain Gorgeous in Rome.
We also know that Ciaran was involved in Conor Gannon’s and his colleagues exit from Rome.
Conor Gannon did ask both Diarmuid and Ciaran to issue a statement clarifying the leaving.
In justice and truth I think Conor Gannon was entitled to a clarifying statement.
It seems to me that there are far too many priests hanging around the archbishop’s house – many doing jobs that could be done well by lay people
Maybe the new arch will put them all out to parishes?

His leaving of the Irish College mid-year is highly irregular and suspect. Ciaran has hurt many seminarians, the list of people who left Rome is extensive. These young men were unfortunate enough to pass through the Irish college while he was there. The reason he did not come to Gannon’s defence was because he was protecting himself and his own interests. To allow two seminarians to be defamed in such a manner, while having the power to say something, is akin to standing back and saying nothing while people are being sexually abused. How could such a man be silent while two young men have their lives destroyed so publicly? Conor and Sean asked for a simple clarification and were met with self-serving silence. The esteemed monsignor would not risk his reputation for two lowly seminarians; Ciaran always protected numero uno. Ciaran O’Carroll has a long history of bullying those around him. As a teacher in clonliffe college, he made many seminarians lives a misery. He always looked down on those who were not as “academically gifted” as he. His arrogance, brashness and south-sider attitude caused him to look down on those who were from working class backgrounds. He picked on those students in particular. Why? Well in his opinion “the priesthood should be reserved for men from good families”.
Then Ciaran went to Maynooth to try his luck there. He was trying to set himself up nicely for an easy life in Maynooth like the other professors. He applied to be the chair of history in Maynooth and was overlooked for someone more capable. He was so livid that he left Maynooth and refused to just be a lowly teacher. His plans of an easy life in Maynooth were dashed! As a consolation prize, daddy Diarmuid petitioned the Bishops to have his “own man” installed in the Irish College. Ciaran mistakingly thought that Rome would see how special he is but Archbishop Jorge Carlos Patrón Wong seen right through him and his little act. Archbishop Wong listened to the horror stories that many seminarians privately shared with him about their experiences of Ciaran in Rome. The post-grad students also let the truth known about him. The bishops were informed by Rome to have him removed immediately. End of the line Monsignor!

Forget about how many RCC priests, and about where they hang out, and about what they do meantime (however badly), I should be supremely happy if every one of these Roman Catholic clerical vermin was swept off the planet.
Imagine Ireland free of these perverted, kiddie-fiddling, clerical oppressors. Imagine the freedom children would have in a childhood totally devoid of Roman Catholic clerical, paedophile deviancy?

Conor Gannon had to issue proceedings to have his name cleared. A number of publications have had to print apologies. How strange that Ciaran O’Carroll did not tell the truth and vindicate these two young men, but instead stayed silent and allowed their names to be dragged through the mud? He is to give pastoral care? He sounds like Paul Prior another parish dodger, if he is not fit to serve in a parish then what is the point of him? How can he minister to those who can, he does not have the experience? Another cover up, drain the swamp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It makes no sense to make him vicar for priests and then make him a bishop. They normally appoint a coadjutor bishop while the other one is transitioning out – just like Diarmuid was coadjutor for Cardinal Connell in the year leading up to his retirement. If they were making him a bishop they would have just done it.

Diarmuid has always looked after him – he even stays in Paul’s apartment when he is in Rome, an apartment that Diarmuid decorated for him. We all know Paul has zero taste. The apartment is an exact copy of AB’s house – which is not a mistake by the way.
