For two weeks now a website, stealing my identity, publishing falsehoods and allegedly breaching cyber laws has been in operation.
Yesterday it was closed.
Below is what it looks like now.
Yesterday I received the email below from the host’s legal department:
Dear Bishop Buckley
Thank you for your emails.
The content at bishoppatbuckley.co.uk has now been removed.
1&1 IONOS UK Legal Team
Apart from contacting the legal department of the site hosting company I lodged a formal complaint to the London Metropolitan Police and the UK Cyber Crime Unit.
That police investigation is now underway and will be completed regardless of whether the author(s) of the fake site keep it closed or live.
The author(s) had made the claim on line that they had sought help from a Russian based company and person to track / hack my emails and my mobile telephone.
They stupidly did not realise how sensitive the UK police are to suggestions of Russian based cyber activity and crime.
I have made it clear to the police liaison officer appointed to deal with me that I want the case pursued to the end with full vigour and prosecutions brought if possible.
I have printed off all the text that appeared on the site since December 20th and took screenshots of every image used. I supplied all this material to the police.
I will travel to London at a Covid allowing time to make and sign a formal police statement.
However, the investigation has already begun.
I want the individual(s) behind this site exposed, named and prosecuted.
At that stage I will consider my civil law options.
In my blog I have always used information I either knew it believed to be true.
People think you can get away with saying what you like on the internet. That is not true. There are a while new swath of new legislation in many countries.
Plus identity theft, tracking and hacking are already serious crimes.
I have always offered people the unedited right of reply on this blog.
I am also always willing to discuss anything with anyone.
One big problem that I constantly encounter is seminarians, priests and monks lying.
Readers would be surprised to know the contact I have had with people who appeared on this blog.
I have never revealed that contact or what was said.
In the meantime I will continue to observe and comment on hypocrisy and corruption in the church.
68 replies on “FAKE GAY CLERGY WEBSITE CLOSED.”
What do you think the motive was?
Attempted payback for exposing their duplicitous lifestyles.
Victim and survivor blaming?
You keep going love.
Yes they’re absolute bitches.
Monks, priests and seminarians who engage in things that totally contradict their vows – and in rare cases cause broken bones and torn anal canal tissue are neither victims or survivors.
They are perpetrators!
Let’s call it what it is.
Mind, Bp Pat, you disclosed your contact with Dom Eamon Fitzgerald and what was said during your telephone conversation. Something about a monk and a priest in a kitchen making… well, let’s just say, a brownie.
I’m confused as to what this hoax website was supposed to be doing ? Was it making false statements about you, + Pat, based on stuff that they had hacked from your emails and phone etc ? Or was it peddling stuff about other gay clergy ? Whatever, there is nothing like the wrath of closet, nasty, gay, rumbled gay clergy, when they see themselves exposed and their comfortable lives and future endangered. They don’t like it, poor Dearies !
It was attacking me and tracking and hacking me under the pretense of helping victims.
10.32: Pat, thus is very sinister. It could be anyone with homophobic attitudes or someone trying to deliberately destroy your character. You mention priests….you do have many non clerics who follow you. Also with the numerous countries in which your blog is viewed, It’s very possible that any mad individual/s would want to hack or track you down, especially if they determine your views as extreme or not extreme enough. . It is very sinister because I’m sure it places not only you, but your commenters, in danger too…Isn’t it a sign of how dangerous and sinister the internet can be?
What this means to me is that you are on the right lines and are getting under their skin. They have a lot to hide, and want it kept hidden. You, + Pat, have nothing to hide, partly because other people have made sure that they reveal everything they know about you, so you have nothing to lose. That’s a great strength you have. Keep questioning, probing and testing. It’s the only way we will get to any truth. Bishops and clergy have a vested interested in stopping us finding out. However, I think we have a good idea what many of them are up to.
Yes, having all your “secrets” out there is a blessing in many ways.
It also means that people know you are human and you’ve struggled.
In that case, Bishop Pat, it seems obvious who the culprit(s) are. No? Yes!
I wonder what they were advising to any possible victims? “… Go away and pray then offer it up to the Lord — don’t report it, it will go nowhere. Christ said turn the other cheek…”
And, “If you report poor Father, it will destroy him; poor Father works very hard and does a lot of good, think of all the pain and suffering YOU willl cause him…”
Victim: “But I am suffering, I am in terrible pain…”
Reply to victim: “Yes, but Our Blessed Lord had nails driven through His hand and feet, and you’re complaining about Father abusing you and others?!…”
Victim: “Yes, Sister, Our Lord did have nails driven through His hands and feet — but He took the nails and agony so we didn’t have to suffer…”
Sister: “Don’t you dare!! Don’t you dare!!
You are not a child, you are a man and shouldn’t be talking about Father like that.
I am now calling Father to my office while you are here… This is open forum, you know that, don’t you…”
I do wonder how many priests would be prepared to be as transparent and honest about themselves as you are, + Pat ? Not many, I would venture. I suspect that there are dark hidden secrets – habitual and chronic masturbation, pornography, illicit relationships, sexualised thought processes, dishonesty, manipulation, using money that isn’t theirs, the list could go on – that they keep hidden, usually bleating that these are private matters. All of these I could understand and forgive, except that these same priests are the ones who are putting burdens on ordinary people who do no worse than they do. In fact, most people carry burdens that are so much more than any priest ever does – relationship, marriage, children, job, finances, mortgage – and yet probably gets up to a lot less than the priests do. The humbling of the bishops and clergy is a necessary first step in reasserting a proper and healthy balance. It can’t be done unless there is transparency, honesty and trust.
So the Author and His/Her claim that they had achieved as much as they could was only bluster. They were actually SHUT DOWN.
Yes and are now the object of a police investigation.
Lol it was obviously RCs because their modus operandi is making inflated claims for their church, denying the problem and then getting send to prison 💅
I am not bothered about the corruption stories, Bp Pat. As I oldy, I prefer reading about the hypocrisy, especially any strange goings-on of a… well, let’s just say, homosexual nature. They came thick and fast last year, I must say.
12.27: By your logic, you want a continuation of pornographic details and stories to give you pleasure. I call that a moral perversion and a psychologically dysfunctionality. Are you still in your adolescent development or is your development stuck?? Would appear to be!! Grow up, slut.
You ask the previous poster if they are in their adolescent development and then proceed to call them a slut – I wonder who’s stuck in their adolescent development? 🤔🤔Some people just don’t get how f&#King stupid they are.
1.09: Yes, I realised the horrible word s**t was sent in error: I meant to idiot! Words often escape through before correction. Don’t be too aIarmed: I’m truly well developed!!!
Pat, who brought the rogue blog to your attention? And what sort of things was it saying about you? Can you be specific?
As the matter is now the subject of a police investigation I have been told by my police liaison officer not to comment on specific details as they will form part of the evidence. But when I am free to I will publish every detail.
Have a look at this caper ! Father Littleton from Tooting Bec – you are forgiven; you are nothing compared to this antic king ! And what is that thing he’s got around his neck ?
And interestingly, a few days after this performance, only a few days ago, this Fr Pfleger is suspended over an historic accusation of sexual abuse of a minor !
You couldn’t make it up !
That’s absolutely ridiculous.
Wait for the cries of ‘but there are so many holy priests’!
There are but your never going to hear about them on this blog!
We never get to hear of them because they are too self-concerned through keeping their heads low to avoid controversy and so to preserve their comfortable lifestyles. Which of course defines these moral cowards as anything but ‘good’.
Pat, I need to get the leg over!
“I need to get the leg over”? — 1:43 pm, are you stuck in a hedge or trying to dismount a horse by any chance?
It sounds as though you may be attempting to climb a wall or fence.
— Maybe you should pray for a miracle 😋 🤣
Pat, did the police ever come back to you about the Bangor monks? Not one of us is safe in our homes and beds while those monk bastards are out there, Pat.
I hope the guards are taking you seriously, Pat. I know how careless the guards can be. I’m troubled with a bothersome neighbour – an auld bitch of a wan over the shuck. She makes faces at me behind my back and scares my pussy when I’m hanging out the washing.
I’m never out of the Garda station and I don’t think they pay me any heed. I caught this wee clip of a Ban Garda rolling her eyes when I walked in to complain about this neighbour again.
Pat, if you’re being sent from Billy to Jack by those northern Garda you let me know and I’ll organise a bus to Larne barracks and we will picket them until this Bangor monks is apprehended. The streets is not safe so they’re not.
2.50: What an idiot you are! Are you a young child? Or are you just a very thick plank? Organising a bus to Larne barracks…..worse than the Bangor monks nonsense. Stop wasting police time…you dope. Go out and help the housebound elderly.
Whether 2:50 is an idiot or not, one thing couldn’t be more clear – you, at 3:30pm, are truly and unmistakably a complete and utter idiot. Definitely not the brightest are you?
1.11: A rather embellished summation of clergy. As part of the human race, we are full of the normal frailties, proclivities, temptations and flaws as most other human beings. I do believe that unless you are very true to your ministry as best as is possible, prayerfully and otherwise, it is easy to stray and become self absorbed. There is, sadly, a unique isolation and dysfunction about celibate priesthood that is conducive to errant and selfish behaviour. Mostly, I have worked with and met normal, human guys who, despite personal failings, are well intentioned in ministry and keep going. In comparison to families, it is clear that we do not have the difficulties and challenges which are part of family life. So, you are right: people like Pat and priests in general live less difficult lives – no mortgage, no children to worry about, no huge bills, no sleepless nights worrying about a teenage son or daughter. We have our cares, worries and concerns. As for dark hidden secrets: practically each person has some kept secrets…I’m sure you have. If I was to name the many dark, hidden secrets expressed to me during confessions, you’d be very, very surprised. Ther are many people who have strange, compulsive, dangerous and self destructive habits. Not necessarily peculiar to priests!! We are each a mixture of all kinds – light and darkness, purity and sinfulness, good and bad, effort and failure, abstemious or a glutton or drunkard……Wide sweeping judgments are unfair.
You made some (SOME) reasonable points, ‘Father’. But you omitted the fact that moral weaknesses we all variously experience are, in the case of priests, compounded by the FACT that at ordination you knowingly and willingly pledge yourselves to a sinner, a bishop, and through this to an institution of sinners that is ‘corrupt, and riddled with corruption’. This, too, you do knowingly and willingly.
I can feel my sympathy with you rapidly ebbing.😕
What bothers me about your comment is that you are (apparently) accepting the fact that people have self-destructive behaviours but you don’t make the point that if dangerous or illegal confession is not the only remedy, or draw a clear line where the behaviours become incompatible with Christian living.
You will not I expect, object to the example that being a notorious abortionist would not be compatible with regular communion.
I would suggest though that the line should be drawn more strictly about what is compatible with ministry. Multiple mistresses, cruising, saunas, Grindr, cocaine, Nazi memorabilia, porn at a catechesis class? The fact that these have all been seen in recent years in clergy of good repute suggests this is way beyond a problem, and naturally the body that supports them will be seen as doubtful.
When we know that a publisher owns by the church publishes porn and we know about dodgy property deals, we are in cesspit territory and your thinking sounds like rationalisation or avoidance.
Magna at 4:35pm we “pledge” no such thing. Now you can repeat that lie, arising from your hatred, until you are blue in the face and until hell freezes over – it still won’t ever be true. It’s a distortion of the truth dictated by your own multi-levels of dysfunction.
4.35: Magna, this well worn argument you have made repetitively is irrational, a lie and based on your false narrative In understanding priesthood. Yes, I promised “obedience” to my Bishop at ordination but that never did and doesn’t prevent my fidelity to Christ. I witnessed abuse almost within 2 years of priesthood – a parish volunteer – and I ensured his removal straight away and brought the issue to Gardai and to my P. P. I witnessed misappropriation of finances on 3 occasions, one in a school, the other two in a parish setting – all non-clerics. All three were confronted immediately and action was taken. Not pleasant outcomes for any person involved!!! And I received threats for my actions. My “obedience” to my bishop did not interfere with my moral responsibilities. Ever. And never will. You make this spurious argument simply to castigate all priests nastily and horribly. It’s a lie. It’s a bogus argument. Christ is my guide in ministry in the way I live priesthood, though very often I fail. The law of the land guides my sense of truth, justice and the necessity for speaking out against all abuse and wrong doing.
All of which post, ‘Father’, is a circumlocution for ‘you are right, of course; but I, naturally, cannot bring myself to admit such, since it would be a similtaneous admission that I have utterly wasted my adult life by hitching it not to Christ, but to an institution “corrupt, and riddled with corruption” ‘.
We all understand, ‘Father’, even though we don’t approve such self-delusion and moral cowardice. But then, you are a Roman Catholic priest, and this tempers our expectations of you accordingly.
I’ll go easily with you, because you’re not the shinest button on the coat by any stretch of the imagination.
Pledging obedience (Why did you enclose the word in quotation marks?) to a bishop and then claiming that this pledge will never compromise one morally is, of course, unfathomable, not to mention impossible to achieve: as Jesus effectively made clear, it is either mammon (here, the bishop), or God. There can be no riding two horses here.
If you made your pledge with the intention of always honouring your conscience, then you lied at your ordination. But if you made it sincerely, then you were quite prepared (and presumably still are) to place loyalty to your bishop (‘to mammon’) above loyaty to your moral conscience, that is, ‘to Christ himself’.
6:08 I have been a health professional for over 25 years and have worked in some very complex inner city areas, so have seen patients and colleagues under considerable stress, but have not seen these things ever. All I can say is that your workplace is a den of iniquity compared to mine, so I am afraid you have scored an own goal and rather confirmed Magna’s point.
Yes Magna, I was wondering what 6:08 would do if his bishop expected him to do something wrong such as not report a crime.
6:08 – you weren’t hoping to be a bishop, were you? 🤣
4.35: Ahhhhhh….I feel the presence of the the devil in these words…As always with the rejected, loser, MC.
Perhaps in these days of the increasing pandemic numbers, we should pray especially for all health care and medical workers, all who are seriously ill, all who are diagnosed with the virus, the elderly, housebound and most fragile, all who are now very anxious. Those of us who are reasonably well should be mindful of our blessing and seek to act responsibly. We should pray too for priests especially the older priests who are trying to assist parishes and full time priests who are officiating at many funerals. Personally I am very anxious as I’ve officiated at 6 funerals since Christmas and have been asked to visit very elderly parishioner who desire the Sacraments.. It is very challenging.
Oh, I’m sure the money pressed into your pecunarily predatory hand at funerals, and which you expect to receive as of right, alleviates the stress of that terrible challenge.
What a nasty reply. These are very challenging times and very emotional and stressful for all sorts of occupations. Comforting the dying and the housebound is no easy task for medics and clergy alike.
People like you just love giving out snide remarks and do a runner when the going gets rough or unpleasant.
God bless the priest above , all clergy of all denominations and faiths and all our medics who roll their sleeves up and and care.
I personally was pleased when the priest came to the hospital at 1.00am in the morning to deliver the last rites for a family member. He had offered to take me home but my neighbours (Jehova Witnesses) had already volunteered to collect me. I had been there for 24hours.
I stress again, all sorts of people rally round in a time of need. What do you do, apart from snide remarks?
Tomorrow night (Thursday 8.00pm) is clap night for carers. Hope everyone will join in. Will you?
You’re hugelly out of date. Funeral costs aren’t pressed into undertakers’ or clergy’s or musicians’ or florists’ hands at funerals.
Peevish comments ought to be researched before being consigned to the dustbin.
I’m sure the comment was metaphorical. You are avoiding the fact he gets paid for pontificating so doesn’t really get much sympathy.
The sum is also not an offering of the type Bishop Pat takes, it’s a flat fee paid through the undertaker.
Money for old rope.
Sooo…you are saying that priests conduct funerals for free, expecting to receive absolutely nothing for their ‘services’?😕
If you are comfortable in that grand delusion, then I suppose you need it through inability to face the real world…and the fact that priests expect to be paid for dispensing certain sacraments and for performing other functions, like that sleight of hand when they ‘bless’😂 personal property.
Let me coax you into the practical reality of Roman Catholic priesthood, ‘Garngad Lad’. It’ll take courage on your part, but the task will be worth the sacrifice. As the masthead of this blog declares: ‘The truth will set you free even if the truth is revolting.’ And where Roman Catholic priests are concerned, it doesn’t get much more revolting.
And you are hugely out of touch. Or perhaps you just chanced your arm by lying in the hope that no one would notice.
I was asked to bless a new car of a parishioner. Afterwards I was given an envelope with some cash in it. So it went into the parish coffers. So not all priests pocket what they are given.
It is certainly not a flat fee in all cases. As a priest, never have I “charged” a fee and have celebrated funerals and received nothing. But why let facts spoil a generalization?
Bishop Pat, I hate to disappoint you but I think I can reassure you two things 1. that the above web site has definitely came from the UK with the .co.uk and 2. you will be disappointed to know it certainly has not came from a Dioceses as most Dioceses have their own IP addresses and most Clergy and Staff have the a Diocesan email account like Westminster will be rcdow.org.uk Glasgow rcag.org.uk, Motherwell rcdom.org.uk and so on.
So it has got to be clergy or seminarians that you have upset however time will tell.
Very foolish people as IP addresses and log history is easy to obtain.
Listen, Jim S at 5:18, the reason that it was co.uk is that it was one of Pat’s old blog sites, which was set up in the UK and which he didn’t bother to renew and was therefore then available to be taken over by anyone in the world who wanted it.
Stick to writing letters to nuncios and leave detective work to the police.
5:18pm Given the source of the Hack is now the subject of a police enquiry speculation is futile – diocese or not, cleric or seminarian, candlestick maker, baker but certainly a thief- this much I know hackers are cunning and sophisticated but thankfully they can run but they can’t find – I hope Bishop Pat gets justice and satisfaction and the truth/investigation outs this kind of criminal behaviour!!
Sorry to hear of your bother Pat. Sounds a queer business to me, if you get my meaning.
7.07: We know the origin of this person. Since being denied priesthood he has been enraged and consumed by jealousy, hatred and vindictiveness towards all CATHOLIC CLERGY. That doesn’t bother me in the slightest. But it is regrettable that Pat is allowing you, MC, to dominate again with horrible diatribes. Your words are an incitement to hatred. I notice you suggest to Garngad Lad that it may require “courage” for him to believe your hatred and narrative. Really. This is lunacy, risible and laughable. It must have taken you hours to find the word “courage” in the dictionary because it certainly is a virtue or quality that’s very alien to you. MORAL COWARD more accurately sums you up! And yes, of course I receive a stipend for funerals I officiate at. As Jesus says – “The labourer deserves his wage and keep.. ” I believe Jesus., as does Bishop Pat, as would you had you been allowed get through, as do all decent, grateful, good and kind parishioners. Why would they sometimes give me a separate donation from the undertaker or why would parishioners give so many gifts to us at Christmas? GRATITUDE, my dear Magna! GRATITUDE. Incidentally, my offer made at Christmas that I can give you 5/6 bottles of gin still stands. They were gifts and since I din’t booze, you can have them. Sorry it’s only enough for one day!!!
7.07: Mr. C – instead of coaxing another commenter into believing your lies, venom and wayward, hateful ways, perhaps you might, as a New Year resolution try to coax yourself back into some kind of recognisable human being. For a long number of years you have, slowly but surely, developed into a monumental hater. This virus has already killed your emotional and spiritual capacities and turned you into a ritten and rotting corpse. Remember: With GOD, nothing is impossible. Even in your depth of depravity, God loves you. You are to be pitied, really. I can’t even begin to imagine how absolutely dark and miserable is your life. I thank God for priesthood every moment. And i will pray that you will rise to greater virtue and nobility in 2021.
Thank you for your comments. I have always tried to be fair in my comments. to give credit where credit is due MC was stopped before but is writing anonymously with the same hatred. It needs to be stopped with strict moderation.
I have not always agreed with MMM on his atheistic views but I respect him.
MMM has come back on the blog to say he had switched off for a while because of infantile comments. Glad he is well.
I am switching off as now. You might call it a sabbatical!!!!
7.54: Don’t be surprised if Lady Carta arrives at your door or requests the gin through Pat! The bitch is now housebound because of the pandemic and must be guzzling litres. I love the sharp dig that the 5/6 bottles might be enough for one day! I’d have said she must go through at least 10!!
Again Pat you bear the brunt of asswholes who allegedly bare the marks of saintly religion as deep as the shell on a cheap Easter egg. Keep strong It can’t be easy breathing vinegar most of your life hi
Robert Igo is the new Abbot of Ampleforh. Ex-Anglican and ex-nurse.
Where is MMM?
Are you ok?
Yes Kevin, I’m indeed very well. Thanks for asking.
At end of November I was so disenchanted by the blogs incessant focus on monasterial misdeeds and the accompanying frankly puerile infantile comments, that I decided to avoid the blog for December. I didn’t miss it.
In New Year I’ve scanned December blogs and the comments. I stress scanned rather than peruse at any depth. Apart from a comment by Anon on 8/12@ 9.52, (Thanks, I couldn’t have put it better myself: heading was An Unlikely Story), I have found little to interest me, or to engage with. So much of it is dross, and when a sensible informative comment was made, the usual inane responses followed. I have taken note of those sensible ones, ( eg
on 8/12@ Dalriada D, and I appreciate Downpatrick D and Strangford S’s enquiring after me, and Anon too on 27/12 comments on the need for an atheist perspective, plus Fr Tommy’s kind words.
Reading the Jan comments to date indicates little change or a likelihood of sensible informative civil discussion. It seems that the Internet is awash with those whose capacity for civil informed discursive sharing of viewpoints is as impoverished as their intellectual and emotional intelligence. Perhaps historical levels of religious intolerance adds another layer to such characteristics.
I’ve watched a lot of YouTube debates and discussions on matters such as evolution and its evidence, religion/faith and its lack of evidence, origins of faith/religious belief systems worldwide, its continuation and psychological emotional and societal imperatives. I’ve found them informative and engaging. There are some standout conclusions.
It is very informative to see the complete floundering of religious proponents, even those in eminent positions of alleged superior religious standing, when confronted with informed analysis and incontrovertible facts from highly intelligent individuals of the calibre of Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris and the like. Apart from quoting completely unreliable ancient texts, the eminent religionists invariable default position reverts to personal faith belief, and these are the supposedly best educated/informed concerning their religious beliefs. I have seen nothing convincing and a complete lack of evidence in their contributions.
So I see little point in hoping for sensible discussion through Pat’s blog though I do respect his efforts to expose the ugly underbelly of RC hegemony. I respect the caring efforts of devout individuals whether lay or pastoral/clerical inasmuch as it springs from their sense of our interdependence and shared humanity as opposed to merely proselytising.
I’ll finish for now by clarifying a common misinformed view of “an atheist.”
An atheist does not have a system or set of beliefs proving that there is no God. H/She as an atheist simply says “I see no proof of a God, or any gods.” In discussing religious matters an atheist will invariably pose hard questions in search of reliable factual evidence, and be entirely unimpressed by others faith beliefs.
I am an atheist and non believer. I am also a non believer that a china teapot orbits Mars! I treat religious beliefs with similar justifiable scepticism. Religion per se deserves no unwarranted respect. The RCC as an institution certainly deserves none, notwithstanding the integrity of some of its representatives.
Hopefully, the holy lads at Silverstream will keep us going with hypocrisy and strange goings-on during the rest of the winter months. Don’t let us down lads!
Don’t forget Gaynooth, Oh Scott!, An*l h*le and Wankers. It’s the last months of Wankers so maybe the lads will give us a show before they’ll be transfered to An*l h*le?
9.33: OAP – get down on your knees you pervert….filthy creep. Hope you are drooped with age!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁…
