The Jerry Carey conviction and scandal this week gave us a brief look at the dark underbelly of the Diocese of Killaloe currently being “ruled” by Fintan “Lugs” Monahan.
This weekend many of Killaloe’s clergy are further disheartened by the mess that Monahan made of the Carey case and are throwing their hands up in disbelief and frustration at Monahan’s incompetence and stupidity.
One of those clergy informed the Blog that Monahan was informed of Carey’s crime by a third party within days of it happening?
If so, Carey should have been stood aside IMMEDIATELY from both parish and Colaiste Muire and gave been designated c/o bishops house.
The move to Nenagh and the adoption of the “Mr” title, was to my mind, an effort by Lugs, Carey and solicitors to fly below the radar in the hope that Carey could walk back into parish and school with reputation intact.
That plan failed as a result of the principled Killaloo priest calling me and my publication of a strong blog.
I believe that Lugs tried it on and failed abysmally and now looks like the Tosser he is by nature.
Will he face the people of Jerry Carey’s parish – even by internet and tell them what happened?
Will Colaiste Muire write to the parents telling them what happened?
They tell there are other serious secrets in the Killaloe cupboard:
– the serious hurting of two seminarians who were paid off?
– a woman made pregnant by a priest – a pregnancy that ended with an English abortion paid for by the priest – in spite of Monahan’s words?
And what else?
