Even though Ger Fitzgerald has been credibly abused of sexual intercourse with an Ennis lady parishioner, he has been allowed by his bishop, Fintan Monahan, to cheekily preside over all the Holy Week and Easter ceremonies.

If Ger Fitzgerald was a nurse, doctor, civil servant, policeman, social worker etc he would have been asked to step aside, on full pay, pending the outcome of the investigation.
But once again, we see the clerics, regarding themselves, as different and superior to others.
They say: “Do what we say, but don’t do what we do”.
In the meantime, while Ger basks in the adulation of his friends and parishioners, the woman involved is under threat and attack in Ennis to thenpoint that dhe has had to go into hiding.
A week or so ago the woman contacted me and I have been supporting her everyday since.
She has told me her story, and her proofs, and I believe her 100%.
Furthermore, shevhascsent her proofs to Fintan Monahan.
Killaloe sources are saying that Ger is denying everything and basically calling the woman a liar.
Ger is reported to be in hiding – in the home of an Ennis single parent, whose name is known to the blog.
He is also receiving support from his long term friend, Tina Whelan, a community worker.
This story is a scandal calling out for honesty and action from the bishop and diocese of Killaloe.
THE NORTHERN IRELAND ALLEGED PRIEST RAPIST.
The alleged priest rapist from Northern Ireland contacted his alleged victim in the past few days asking him to drop the allegations against him!
When the victim told me this I regarded the priest’s actions as an attempt to pervert the course of justice and imnediately informed senior officers in the PSNI – Police Service for Northern Ireland.
The contact is now being investigated.
I have also contacted the priest’s bishop and asked that hecstep aside on full pay pending the outcome of the police investigation.
The bishop has done nothing.
CONCLUSION
The Catholic Church has told us that it has completely changed when it comes to treating sexual complaints seriously and urgently.
But here we have two Irish bishops, in two Irish dioceses, allowing priests to work on as normal after serious complaints have been lodged.
This will not change until we see bishops in handcuffs being led from courthouses on the way to prison.

When bishops really understand that their own necks are on the line for failure to act will they begin to change. The problem is that the bishops can enjoy the luxury of retirement and fiscal support. Francis needs to inform them that failure to act will result in the loss of the clerical state and access to church support. Only then will they act.

Frankie will never do that. Heβd have to fall on his own sword over his betrayal of abused deaf children in Argentina.

However those not living the life they have chosen should leave NOW instead of double standards.
Three priests on this blog the last month have said it was not me so the likes of Father Ger Fitzgerald, Father Jerry Carey and Father James MacKay you should just go NOW as your parishioner now know what you are really like.

11.40: More of MCβs vicious, deranged lies. Lies. A huge constituency of our parishioners signed a petition for Michael Martin to give greater respect and consideration to Chrustians who deeply and genuinely desire to be together for prayer and the Eucharist. All churches are probably the safest places with on-going cleaning, disinfecting and socially distanced protocols in place. These guidelines are watched over by yrained parish teams. All professionally done. I think it is fair and just that the People of God rightly request their rights to worship to be respected. Why not? The Bishops, thank God, speak on their behalf. Strangely, our parishioners gave more generously than ever last Christmas and are exceptionally kind still to parish and priests. Since MC lives underground, entombed in hatred and vengeance, he really doesnβt SEE THE REAL world of immensely good parishioners and priests. And β they are in the majority. God is good.

Now, what do you get when you put Polish Catholicism and Roman Catholicism together ? Arrogance ! What is it about these people, who are now screaming blue murder that their Good Friday Service was interrupted by the police because they were contravening the Covid 19 regulations ? Do they really think that the police would wade in and close them down out of ignorance or out of malice ? Do you think they would even consider that they, the Polish Catholics, were at fault ? No, of course not. They will scream and shout and claim discrimination and being hard done by when it is abundantly clear that they were not keeping to Covid 19 requirements. I hope the ‘pastoral visit’ by + Wilson was more a “wind in your f**king necks” visit and a good bollocking for being so stupid.

Yes but it does seem like a set up. On the house next to the church there was a massive billboard accusing the Polish Catholic Church of abusing women through their new hardline abortion laws. It is amazing that they managed to display the poster which every parishioner would have seen as they walked into the church. Doubtless the people who put the poster up called the cops on them.

@ 1142 β What is happening in Poland with the coincidence of Catholic and patriotic right wing political parties, is dangerous. Abortion is the headline issue on which they work together, but beneath that there is a whole range of other right wing, conservative and nationalistic / patriotic stuff which the agree on and on which act together. Itβs the usual list of things β women, abortion, sexuality, migrants, etc etc. Itβs pretty nasty stuff, and they use nasty tactics, and the RC Church in Poland sees it as a vehicle for maintaining influence. Itβs good to see them having a dose of their own treatment. It might make them think a bit about what they inflict on others whom they decree are not proper Catholics or Poles ! Maybe a visit from the Met is a salutary thing for them.

Polish clergy are extremely arrogant. I said on this blog sometime ago that the influx of Polish clergy into other countries was not for a good reason including the UK. They stick together, some bring back contraband in their cars and flog it. They undermine clergy in the dioceses they move into, many are only interested in money and are totally right wing with the attitude that they are superior. Why did Elsie allow his new Polish Administrator to secure a deal in Poland for the new diocesan vestments that look shite. Lots of money exchanged in Poland.

If the commenter you called ‘racist’ is white, then he or she wasn’t being racist, because the Poles are white, too.

11.37: Redress scheme for what? Most of you seminarians were financially supported at the seminary and for your university degrees by your Bishops through the generosity of kind parishioners. I wonder if those of you asking for money now ever complained about your “abuse” before finishing your university degrees? Abuse of any kind is unacceptable. Abuse of power and authority is a moral and sometimes criminal transgression, thereby requiring civil authorities investigating. We’ve relentlessly heard hearsay and innuendo about abuse of seminarians on this blog for years – it’s time to validate all allegations and report to civil authorities. As for finances – remember again, all fees are paid for by lay people!! If finances are asked for again, the local parishioners will pay – again…If abused, go to civil authorities.

I had to work every God given mid term break and all holiday times to fund my way through college. Snowflakes are plentiful among a cohort of seminarians, the small few that there are. If criminally abused, these men should go to civil authorities. I would had I been abused sexually by anyone which I believe is the most heinous of all abuses. It’s not easy to make that decision but there is a greater awareness of the gravity and criminality of sexual abuse, making it a less daunting task than before.
