The Kialloe PP Jerry Carey was caught by the Garda masturbating in his car in Galway 8 months ago.
It only came to court in March past.
The church took no action against him until the story appeared in this blog on March 3rd.
Was he hoping to get away with it?
He went to court as MISTER CAREY OF TIPPERARRY.
His bishop, Monahan was hoping it would die a death too.
The story runs in todays Sunday World – Republic edition.
This was the conversation on RTE the other day.
Monahan is currently dealing with another priest sex case – that of Father Ger Fitzgerald, who took n a parishioner to bed.
It seems that Kilaloe priests have a bigger problem with keeping their willie in their pants

Is the priest still living in clocklee?
Cloughleigh, and yes he is. Why wouldn’t he be? He believes he’s done nothing wrong and his ‘fan club’ are 100% behind him. Anyone who criticises him is frowned upon. ‘Hes a good man’ they cry!!! That may be, but he is not a good priest.
And he did PENETRATE a parishioner who was vulnerable at the time.
Ger – The Impregnator.
Are you saying Ger get her pregnant or tried to?
Pat, I was disappointed to hear yesterday that you are more a republican than a monarchist. Saying that, I was once learning toward republicanism, but I see the value, the history and tradition of having a monarchy. My experience of a republic is Ireland and just look how that is going !!!! Give me an OINTED King/Queen anyway.
I was delighted to see the black vestments at the Windsor service yesterday. Tablet-reading nominal Catholics get the vapours at the idea that they might be used at Requiem Masses.
I also saw photos of the new private chapel at Windsor. Ad orientam altar and a Communion rail. Who’d have though it?
Ad orientem actually. I imagine you’re a big fan of Latin too.
Hi Rose, is it is perfectly common for those whose countries which have been forcibly taken over and controlled by any hostile entities to have at the very least residual reservations about those entities — whether they were, or still are, republican or morarchical systems is here or there in my opinion
(Anecdotally: do the current regimes, namely that of “new” Labour or Thatcherite Conservativism muster up any good or bad feelings or memories for any readers of this blog, or indeed further abroad? 🙄 ), and possibly irrelevant on some levels – hence why people can have mixed emotions…).
The British establishment, the government that is, the political leaders and those who hold various offices in politics or have authority (not the Queen per se, I admire her — but I was not a fan of Mrs Thatcher – and nor was the Queen, remember… All things in fairness and perspective, please…) are the ones who make the decisions which effect our country and those decisions can have negative, sadly seldom good, outcomes both for “us” including for others’ and their countries.
Incidentally, often countries which get the bad “deal” are the ones which are, or were, still “catching” up in terms of political and economical growth — yet their lands are rich with silk and other “precious” textiles and spices; some countries even rich with other seemingly unending and “interchangeable” commodities such as crude oil and any other “commodities” which can be exploited by abuse of power and breaches of international treaties and laws.
Then there are diamonds: “Blood” diamonds… Diamonds are forever because of their distinctive “qualities”, didn’t you know? The way they shimmer and shine when held up to the light — that is to say nothing for the women, children and men who are essentially slave-laboured into the sifting, day-in and day-out: year-after-year, yet these women, children and men are never given the opportunity to shine to their full potential as human beings. Their human rights tossed to the wind like chaff which once surrounded the wheat; its job now done.
However, for those of us who believe in fairness and equality for all, there is always hope!
For Christians there is hope, too, and Scripture which is often a great guide and comfort…
“The last will be first, the first will be last…”
– – – –
Going back to hostile entities…
There can for many remain relatively recent past-issues for which there are still “open” wounds; wounds need attention in order to heal, do they not? Rubbing salt into any wound is never a good idea…
…that which is in the present cannot yet be “confined”, for want of a better word, to the history books…
Great Britain and Northern Ireland (not forgetting the Falkland islands and its two terratorial dependencies): Margaret Thatcher was not very popular, at all, both in England, Ireland, Scotland and further abroad!
Then there was the Communist state who gave Mrs Thatcher the name Zheleznaya Ledi – The iron Lady.
This attribute at first was an insult; but it quickly became a term of endearment to Margaret by Communists towords the end of the Cold War era in Russia (USSR untill 1991).
The Communists loved her ‘The Lady is not for turning’ speech and they admired the way she handled – or “man” handled – heads of state from around the world, not forgetting her own ministers and chief whip!
(Most of whom gave Margaret a big old “push” out the door in the end…).
Incidentally, even Rome rejects Communism; and those who claim to adhere to Roman Canon Law do not recognise the rights of anybody outside of the clerical state.
Oppressive regimes are SO YESTERYEAR, wouldn’t you agree, Rose? x

What’s fintan doing about Father Ger Fitzgerald? Surely the people in his parish are disgusted by this man’s behaviour
The People of the parish are behind Father Ger as they have not been told the truth yet but that should come.
Father Ger knows he is living a lie but in so much self denial.
How Ger can be a hypocrite is shocking and disgusting.
The Bishop will end up suspending him then take it through the canonical route.
Quite the contrary. Anyone who is disgusted keeps quiet for fear of retribution. Its a disgrace the way this situation has been handled. The party line seems to be denial of sexual intercourse. As for the texts? Sure hes only human. So Ger carries on ministering, but only it seems, to those who support him. The lady who made the accusations, albeit with vindictive motives, has been scandalised and completely shamed by many. But let’s all call a spade a spade, if the Priest had behaved in a manner befitting his position, there wouldn’t have been any accusations. So many people have said its wrong that Priests can’t marry. I don’t disagree, but there are rules and they are fully aware of the rules so if these rules don’t appeal, than find another club to join. Priests having their cake and eating it is getting very tiresome indeed. There again many think the only bad thing Ger did was get caught. From reading this blog thats the narritive, they can and do whatever the f*ck they like, just dont get caught.
Not everyone in cloughleigh are following Fr Ger blindly, some of us are disgusted by his actions but due to the majority of his followers being thugs and bullies and junkies we have to keep our mouths shut! We want him out immediately
Please be assured Ger’s fan club is in full swing and not frightened to go to Westbourne (diocesan HQ and Bishops home) and make there feelings known to Bishop Monahan.
Anyone with any concerns can contact Bishop Monahan direct as he would be very grateful for Confidential feed back
If the Bishop gave one fig about the people of Cloughleigh he wouldn’t have a sleazy man saying mass every evening.
You couldn’t make it up Pat! What is Fintan going to do? Lets look up the bishops manual, ah here we are, say nothing, do nothing and hope the matter goes away eventually
The Bishop does care about his parishes and he can only go on what information he has.
In every walk of life everyone is innocent till guilty and therefore the Bishop has to judge the information in front of him
Apart from your fame on this blog have you contacted the Bishop.
why would he not have someone saying mass when he has only ONE complaint and many of the opposite I wonder why.
I listened to the radio broadcast. What surprised me is that no one mentioned that The Church tortured us for generations telling us that masturbation was a sin. When I was at school in the 70’s it was as if masturbation was the only Sin.
It took me a while to free myself from the Catholic guilt of this and while I have moved on The Church that Fr Gerry represents hasn’t moved on and still teaches the same nonsense.
Fr Gerry was foolish in the extreme but I think it’s only natural that he is called out on his act and pilloried for it if only to throw a spotlight the hypocrisy.
And he should count himself lucky because if there had need a child present with whoever discovered him he’d be facing gaol time.
It is still a mortal sin.
Only if you get caught
The rev member was in his car. If he was driving this is quite a feat. A car usually has one gearstick . This would be one up on using a mobile phone. Quite a pwank as Daffy 🦆 might say.
Lugs should get Ger a housekeeper, that’s how it was done in the past 😜
Oh well, it will be off to Canada or the USA when possible for Carey for some Humpty Dumpty putting back together at one of those expensive centres for errant clergy. All paid for by us. Unless, of course, he and the bishop just come to the sensible and logical conclusion that he is not fit for ministry, and that he needs to give up and move on with this life, and make his own way in the world. Otherwise, it will be a continual revolving door with him being ‘renewed’, coming back, getting in to trouble again at some stage, and still having whatever underlying psyco-sexual malaise and dysfunction that has caused the present problem. I’m in favour of redemption and change, but we have to be reaiistic about it. Whatever Carey suffers from is probably so deeply rooted, and reinforced by the clerical culture and lifestyle that he’s been trained and lived in, that removing himself from that environment is probably the only way of ensuring that he lives some kind of reasonable and decent life. That, and the law encouraging him not to get caught again, otherwise he might end up in prison ! The same thinking applies to Ger. His behaviour comes from some deep well of selfish need and he should just recognise this as being incompatible with the clerical life as presently understood, at least officially. He, too, needs to move on. I’m tired at having to be around ‘wounded’ clergy who are given exceptional treatment just because they are priests, when anywhere else they would be out on their ear. Tough, I know, but enough is enough. If you dip your wick where it should not be, if you behave in a way that is inconsistent with your public calling, if you behave unprofessionally and transgress all kinds of boundaries, then expect to put up with the consequences, and in these cases the consequence is clearly that these men are not fit for priestly ministry. That is the realistic and – yes, compassionate – response, both to the individuals concerned and for their futures, as well as to us the faithful. Lugs, are you listening….?!
A resettlement grant and confidentiality agreement seem the only option in this sad case unless the Ordinariate can accommodate him. Plenty of other Ravi Shankar’s there.
Such self righteous nonsense. That is, until similar happens to you.
Double standards here. We live in a hypersexualised society. You expect one subsection of society, clergy, to be immune from a central strand of that society today which is in our face and at our fingertips every day of the week.
It would be interesting to have your sexual history analyses here. Probably leaving both these gentlemen in the shade. It was ever thus.
@ 11:33 – No, I have never masturbated in a car in a public car park like Carey; neither do I have sexual intercourse with women other than my wife, even though I am not bound by a vow of celibacy like this Ger priest. I really don’t think I am asking or expecting too much to think that neither of these behaviours is what I should expect from priests, and that if they do engage in such behaviour then the same standards and consequences would be applied to them as would be applied to me in my work place and profession. In the case of Ger, if I was having sexual interaction with a woman with whom I had some kind of professional or pastoral connection, that would be an infringement of my professional standards and I could expect to be called to account, disciplined and even barred from my profession. In the case of Carey, having a criminal conviction for such behaviour would certainly see me out of my job. So, what is so different about these clergy ? Please, do enlighten us….! Except that they are priests and presume to have a special free pass from the normal requirements of professional behaviour ?
Does anyone know exactly how he was spotted? One would think he wouldn’t be noticed in a car.
I’m just wondering how the passerby had such a good view of him in his car.
I’m sure that question was asked at the trial. There was obviously enough evidence to convict him.
Perhaps a witness walked close by the car or was on a path or dune higher up and could see into the car.
Or maybe the occupant of the car was making sure he was seen – as part of the thrill ???
Yes, Pat, 10.39, I’m sure that’s part of it. A policeman friend of mine says that he believes many people want to be caught.
Very disappointed that Killaloe Dioceses has featured again on the blog especially when we all know that the Bishop is taking both cases through a canonical procedure. The blog today will likely change the outcome as to the cases with Bishop Fintan thinking the his dioceses has been attacked.
Likely outcome sabbatical, some therapy and then new parish.
The Church will look at this today as victimisation of their clergy.
No employee gets victimisation like this in any Public Service.
In what other employment / organisation would two employees be still be on olace after:
1. A sexual conviction.
2. Having sexual intercourse with a client?
Fintan is weak
The clerics win.
Indeed. In any other organisation; both “employees” would be instantly dismissed
These clerics are kept on and all just to spite Buckley
What utterly ridiculous manipulative nonsense. Who is “The Church” ? The clergy ?
The Church is the people of God trying to follow a good Christian life.
When Mgr Joe Murphy (Cloyne), now Head of Protocol at the Vatican, was a student in Maynooth he told me that he had seen a man doing a Fr Jerry in a car outside the supermarket near Maynooth mart.
In his innonence Joe said he thought the man was holding an ice cream cone, but fellow-witness Michael Dwyer put him right.
Could it have been Fr Jerry?
I’m going to call it “doing a Fr Jerry” from now on.
Another priest at it again and Thankfully he is retired from Littlekenny.
However so sad for the young victims
Ex priest. Is at it again? It was 50 years ago. Rented hostel accommodation. Says something about his subsequent fate.
11:22 am – Just read the article, it’s heartbreaking.
Hopefully those two women and their families will now be able to find better peace and comfort on their healing journeys and in life 💞 x
You could not make it up by some clergy.
Father Ger Fitzgerald’s homily is on woundedness does he not realise the damage his double life that he is leading and he has wounded people and more people will be wounded when they hear what Father Ger Fitzgerald is really like.
Follows it with Peace oh my the only peace in that parish would be if the Bishop did his job and get rid of the preparator father Fitzgerald.
For weeks he has went on about Thomas does he not realise he is Thomas.
Then concludes with Transformation and lives happy ever after.
Think not Father Ger.
How demoralising is that homily to his victims.
Father Peter Littleton is leaving Wandsworth in May
I cannot be alone in finding these recurring references to Father Littleton inappropriate and distasteful in a blog devoted to the sins of the Fathers. His style may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he has done nothing wrong and is not in the slightest implicated in any scandal. These can only be fishing trips in the hope that one day he’ll be spotted chatting up the barmaid of the Dog and Duck, and then finally we’ll have something on him. There must be bigger fish to fry in the London dioceses, such as whatever the story is behind Father James McKay’s departure from St Katherine’s Dock.
Oh, I doubt if he’d be chatting up the barmaid at the Dog and Duck, dearie ! Anyhow, where is he going ? I think the young man needs to be under firm direction wherever he goes. His silly traddy antics and his champagne quaffing pictures, as well as his YouTube videos indicate an immature young priest who needs some direction and formation. Why he did’t properly get that in seminary, I don’t know, but then he did rather struggle to get through, didn’t he ? Apparently. Allegedly.
McKay’s gone off with his gay partner for a better life, where he can be himself and find himself. Don’t worry, he will land on his feet.
Father Peter Littleton has nothing wrong and constantly mentioned on this blog.
Father Littleton does not need the hassle of being a Priest because his family are healthy but it is hard fought battle to be a priest a vocation in the Lords vineyard.
However he has a stalker on him all the time so the stalker knows he is going back to his original parish.
Father James Mackay is in a relationship with a parishioner however his Bishop has given him “time out” and then they will decide so shocking and thankfully Alan Williams SM has only five years left then a quick replacement for him.
He had three parishes called Royal Docks pastoral area.
Have a dance with Father James
Not exactly news. He was only put there until a new parish priest was appointed. Which has now happened.
It is James MacKay and it is a female according to clergy in Brentwood who are disgusted with their Bishop Alan Williams SM
MacKay has cost the dioceses around half a million for his training and Canon Law degree
10.39: Pat, if you applied your psychological analysis as keenly to yourself re: lack of compassion, obsession with the sexual failings of others, your own affective disorders, spiritual blindness, you may be more inclined to offer some mercy, understanding and good insight. As of now, your motivation is simply to demonize this priest, his Bishop and the Catholic Church. By all means, call out the sin, wrong doing and abuse where and when appropriate, but is there justification for the onslaught? I cannot fathom the relentless pursuit of this priest, as much as I realise his foolishness and stupidity and unawareness of the public place he was in. That was very silly and reckless of him. Sadly, he will pay a huge personal price for his actions. I am glad I have very kind, supportive friends, a good family and very human colleagues who treat and would treat me kindly in any challenge in my life. I therefore try to approach with mercy those who fail and who are humiliated, while being able to condemn the sin or wrong doing. (Not talking here about abuse)…Surely we who are ministers of the gospel must act like Jesus..!! If we were all to condemn the wrongs of one another, we’d be running for cover.
Pat is NOT demoralising anyone they are doing it themselves.
It was not Pat who had a wank in his car then went to parishes and Schools as Mr Innocent and still thinks it is “poor me” he forgets Carey that he has a criminal conviction for a sexual offence and should resign NOW.
It is not Pat that shagged the parishioner and keeps going on as though it never happened backed by his fan club and weak Bishop.
Double Standard Priests should resign NOW
Weak Bishops should resign now.
Were is all the Glasgow clergy on this blog the last month Jardine, Wee Jardine, Gardgan Lad and other oh they terrified of the new Archbishop arriving and they are called into Clyde Street.
At least Barking Bella spouts off on here but stands like a ship in the night 🙂
Firstly, I am not a member of the clergy and secondly I am not “terrified” of a new Archbishop of Glasgow. Thirdly, I have contributed on this blog several times over the past month. Methinks you have your wires crossed. I like to think I am fair minded and a defender of the underdog. I have no idea who Jardine, Wee Jardine, MMM or maggie carter are. I do not like the fact that two young priests are constantly stalked and hounded. What have they done wrong?
Please be accurate. I like facts and figures not gossip or innuendo.
In the report last month, Fr Carey says, “there is at times a feeling of aloneness, due to celibacy.” Doesn’t he mean there is at times a feeling of ‘hornyness’ due to celibacy?
I have read Bishop Fintan’s response concerning this matter but as a relative of a family affected by the Fr Brendan Smyth affair and the behaviour of the then bishop in Belfast, Cahal Daly, I’m afraid I would neither believe the utterances of any bishop or their supposed concerns.
My attitude was further hardened by the statements of an anti gay nature by another bishop. Cardinal Keith O’Brien over in Scotland.
The Hierarchy of Ireland is to blame for the loneliness of clergy as I had never heard of Curates houses and that must be an Irish issue.
Most Dioceses the clergy live together.
Irish Dioceses should sell the Curates houses now.
We have heard Careys lame excuses he did not need to wank off in his car however it like not his first time at that spot and now it is poor me.
the Bishop of Killaloe needs to grow a pair or go back to being a Priest.
Garngad Lad be assured there is not two young priests in the Archdioceses of Glasgow getting stalked as you know fine it would not be allowed and the Private Investigators. would be involved to track down the stalkers and everywhere has CCTV.
I think if my mind is correct the last stalking issue was two years ago in Dumbarton but that was closed down quickly.
So if you know any priests in Glasgow that is getting stalked or in bother please email VG@rcag.org.uk
I think of the top of my head the youngest Priest in Glasgow will be Canon Sharkey @ the Cathedral who is coming up on 40 as all the ordinations have been over 50’s
I never said Glasgow priests. You have assumed that. There are two priests, one in Lancaster and one in Southwark who are regularly hounded by stalkers on this blog. These stalkers must have very little going on in their lives. I do hope that clarifies things for you. I do like to be factual.
Pat Crete a Blog on the different levels of Maynooth abuse within the last 5 years.
12.10: CRETE is in Greece, you thick…What morons appear here so frequently!! Utter philistines, thick as two planks.
You are on regularly so must love it or a bored old spinster.
Just Saying 🙂 🙂 🙂
The funeral yesterday of Prince Philip was an abject lesson to the shinners as to how a big, high profile funeral can be done with a large crowd and great dignity still maintained even under restrictions.
Perhaps the shinners could take a few hints from the oul brits on how to do a funeral right.
12.45: Seamus, thank you for your wise, sensible and compassionate insight. I share every word. We should, as Christians, be allowed to assert the imperatives if mercy and compassion for all who fall and fail not just once, twice or three times but seventy seven times, as Jesus urges! I can never comprehend merciless onslaughts on anyone.
And yet you and your ilk show no mercy or compassion to those hurt by the church including Bishop Buckley
Fintan Monaghan has taken a Barring order against Aidan O’Brien and David Dysky to stay away from the Diocesan Offices for at least 10 meters.
The media would be all over that as the Church will not let Clergy or Bishops bar anyone from the Church.
It would need to go through the court for this accusation of yours.
Wheres my hush money Fintan.
lol ask Iggy about the disclosure in his office.
The church advocates an ideal of intimacy within marriage but will baptise children born outside of marriage and bless marriages of couples who have children. It’s an acceptance by the church that intimacy can happen outside of marriage.
It has been reported in some quarters that a notable percentage of clergy are striving to be celebate. Two consenting couples is not a crime. An act of self gratification is not a crime. Public self gratification is a mistake and the court ruling was made. They shouldn’t be crucified any further.
There should be understanding and compassion. Clergy are human. Humans fall a first time. Humans fall a second time. Humans fall a third time. People also learn from mistakes and ought to be respectfully given that opportunity to do so.
The best apology is changed behaviour.
Seamus: Public self gratification is a crime and a sexual offence and certainly is not a mistake punishable by law. Fr Carey rightly received a suspended sentence. Masturbation is normal in private, very sick people with sexual issues perform in public. It’s neither a mistake nor silly as the girl on Joe Duffy claims.
Seamus here is a real challenge for you listen to the broadcast on RTE and listen to the women traumatised 20,3040 years on from males pleasuring themselves in Public.
Go to the Archdioceses of Saint Andrews and Edinburgh and speak to clergy traumatised still eight years on because of KOB.
Carey and Ger should resign and that would be story completed.
Or Fintan should do his job and sack them.
Fintan is very weak and really should look at himself he is allowing Ger Fitzgerald to continue to split an Oratory.
Seamus, people like you forgive people of sexual crimes too easily. There is no place in the priesthood for a man convicted of a sexual crime. We have to have safeguarding for this very reason.
When there is a high challenge in rugby, a referee will assess are there mitigating circumstances to not give a red card. Someone who hasn’t hurt anyone only themselves for the publicity caused, should be allowed to dust themselves down, get up and live in peace. The best apology is changed behaviour. People who fall, especially in cases where they have not hurt someone else, should be allowed to live in peace without being crucified. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. Me we all live in peace.
Archdiocese of Dublin urged to use for social housing the €95m proceeds from Dermo’s botched sale of Clonliffe.
Maybe Farrells new task force can look into that!
12.56: We coukd very legitimately ask what did Cuffe and his Green Party ever do for social housing apart from being more concerned about clouds in the heavens than “actual” real homeless people? His party do not understand poverty, homelessness, suffering but much about climate control!! Cuffe is morally blind after writing that letter. The church in a myriad of ways does more for the poor, the struggling and the homeless than The Green party could ever imagine. Is Cuffe out on soup runs at night? Just wondering…
Pat – your comment above. Can I ask why you chose to make this comment at all?
Why did you chose the word penetrate as opposed to something less tabloid press such as ‘took advantage of?’
And why did you choose to add emphasis the word by capitalising it?
Also penetrating is not synonymous with impregnating. Or, perhaps you know something we don’t.
Recently I’m wondering if you stop to think before you post.
Seamus you need to listen to RTE interview on Friday people still remember flashbacks 30 years on that is factual.
Why not ask you Bishop if you are a priest to let Carey come work with you.
He will always be known as the wanking Priest.
In Scotland he would have been placed on sex offenders list for 3 years and given 240 hours community work and 2 years probation.
I can imagine flashbacks for something like that. Around 12 years ago a priest in my parish rubbed his index finger slowly and deliberately along my hand. I stayed well out of his way from then on. It might seem small but it’s never left me.
@ Anon 3:24pm
People should be given a second chance depending on the circumstances. If someone commits an act that is harmful to another, one’s position would be untenable in my humble opinion.
The judge accepted that someone was in his own car, but added that he could clearly be seen, as someone reported him to the police. Being in the car is a mitigating factor. Just like a referee would consider mitigating factors before deciding whether or not to give a rugby player a red card for a high tackle.
An act that is offensive but was not harmful to another has a low severity of risk or potential risk. One should be allowed space to reflect on it, engage in a therapeutic course of assessment and counselling. One should not be unfairly crucified. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. May we all live in peace.
I’m casting no stones, what I am saying is that there is no place in the priesthood for a man convicted of a sexual crime. We cannot take the chance with the vulnerable and that is my point. No second chances.
5.16 Fr Carey will no longer pass Garda vetting. He can no longer hold his cherished position as PP. I’m sure he will find a different career and get the help he needs.
I understand he is just taking time out for reflection and hope to come back to another parish and celebrate his Ruby as a PP.
And that will be up to his Bishop.
Actually being in a car, in this case, is not a mitigating factor, because it meant he was visible. Stop trying to make out that this randy reverend is acting sensibly.
Seamus the days of therapeutic courses have well gone as the laity have seen through these spineless actions
You forget this is a Priest preaching to others to have no self indulging pleasures just like KOB did and they were at it all together.
Normally people dream about winning the lotto and what is 1 -14 million chances is it not strange one day a priest of 37 years decides to go for a wank in his car and he is caught so I guess he was just unlucky and got caught that day.
He really was very lucky as in some schemes his car window would have been smashed for doing that action
Are you mad? He is a convicted sex offender. What right minded parent would let a child or vulnerable adult near him. He would need to be watch like a hawk.
Yes Pat, the more I think about it where are all the Glasgow and Scottish priests. Very very conspicuous by their absence now.
Bishop Pat, a link to a scandal in Sacred Heart Seminary, Detroit, Michigan, USA.
This featured on your blog February last year.
Pat you are absolutely right to keep posting this priest on here because it makes RCs demonstrate their twisted thinking about their priests. In fact it is very clear that their clergy are idols.
Out here in the real world, a private sexual act carried out in public is an offense no question, but their precious priests can commit any crime they like.
Saying father Gers followers are thugs, bullies etc is just lying! Ger has many many fantastic people in his parish who appreciate what he does for people
Sounds like sour grapes to me
Unless you live in Cloughleigh keep your opinions to yourself
Hello Tina 🙂 🙂 🙂
Oh it is not Tina it is Daniel 🙂 🙂 🙂
Third time lucky it is Jennifer.
It has been the same reader for 21 days does the parish not have a team of readers after all it is a ministry.
Why is Father Ger 41 years of age and stuck in an Oratory and yet others are doing many parishes however that says a lot about his 11 years in Ministry.
Cloughleigh is a feeder Oratory to the Ennis group of parishes.
The same reader because we are in a pandemic and she is brilliant
T or k,why don’t you ask Fr Ger about the young lady he was caught with in his car some years back?? Ask him about the report the police themselves made against your great leader in relation to a certain type of drug he wanted and the police got evidence from a phone they retrieved from a man down on his luck. Go on ladies ask him and see how quick you both are to defend him and allow him to sleep in your homes
Do you know if the young lady reported it to Bishop Walsh.
You seem to have great information.
Can you assist Bishop Monahan with this information or where to get it as it will be important for the canonical trial that will likely need to take place.
Cloughleigh is an excellent chapel as it is adhered to good Covid practices by having the one 1 lockdown reader. She is the best reader Cloughleigh has , she is brillant and deserves to proclaim
Car w@nker really has some neck. How does he think he will turn up at diocesan events knowing that all his brother clergy are sniggering behind his back?. He will be the butt of jokes for the rest of his life. You can’t return him to parish ministry as parishioners will rightly think him a nonce and will not entertain letting a convicted sex offende near their children. If he is allowed to remain in ministry he will have to be hidden away as a convent chaplain. I do hope he carried hand sanitizer in his car.
We are well aware that we are in lockdown and that is in every parish.
But do not give me the S*** as a Covid Marshall.
Ger and Jennifer should NOT be using the same Ambo unless they are in the same bubble or sanitised between readings and that includes the microphone.
Ger could do the Gospel from the Alter if they were Covid secure really.
Is the musicians all in the same bubble as they are not two metres apart as you can see the reflecting’s images and are they behind a screen.
Is this Daniel as he post the same comments nightly and Jennifer’s partner however you can see the wondering eyes on her 🙂
explain the wondering eyes commet please as you seem to be very clued in
is it any wonder Jennifer is there ? more appealing to the camera wink wink, as a pretty little one with her exotic south east accent , better than old wrinkled man or woman to the views
Again and again I see my name being brought into this blog, fantastic entertainment.
But unfortunately I won’t be replying to anyone who doesn’t stand by their words when remaining anonymous.
I won’t even read your comments 🙂
Have a great day!
It’s not entertaining at all Tina, it is absolutely ghastly that a priest can lie about his sexual affairs, and continue on with his life with his army of followers cheering him on and soothing his damaged ego. The woman is being supported by +Pat and thank God for him.
Tina you have all wrong and Ger Fitzgerald is not being honest with you.
He should really apologise to you and hopefully the Parish.
Ger is in total self denial and cannot face the Truth.
What is likely to happen is you will go there and Ger will be off his mark and you will need to apologise to many people.
You likely get the excuse from ger he is taking time out which is laughable.
Email Bishop Fintan and ask him the truth.
Hope the car had leather seats for easy wipe otherwise imagine the poor soul who buys that motor,,,,
Please would one of your Irish readers take a photo of the article and send it to Pat so we can read it?
