GER FITZGERALD’S EX SENDS NEW INFORMATION TO GER NASH – FINTAN MONAHAN’S SECRETARY.

Nash

Hi Mr Nash,

Hope you are well.

You did mention if I remembered anything else to forward it on in an email.

My apologies for the delay. It has been a very stressful few weeks and meeting make me nervous.

I have remembered sone details to be updated on your report which I feel are important and relevant and would be grateful if all the facts could be included.

Ger

Ger Fitzgerald disclosed to me that he had sexual intercourse with a wonan in Maynooth in 2012 within his forst twelve months of his ordination. It only lasted 23 seconds and hence the jokes about it with me, the captioned jokes I previously forwarded during our conversations.

Ger Fitzgerald’s previous girlfriend that I previously mentioned – he and her were seeing each other for years, although he intentionally never told me her name and where she is from, for protection. He spoke about regularly.

They spend every New Year’s eve together as the married man she is now having an affair with has to be with his wife that night.

They broke up as a couple six years ago but still see each other weekly and every New Year.

She is 38 years old, he said.

Ger disclosed to me that they broke up. It was her choice, not his, due to complicating factors. She is now seeing a married nan who is a bus driver, with a big gut apparently.

In January 2020, a couple of weeks prior to us having intercourse, Ger sat me down and stated:

“Before we go through with this, it can only happen one time, I don’t want you getting the wrong idea….it happened before”.

Thats at least three women accounted for since 2012.

FIRST GAY EXPERIENCE

On mine and Ger’s first trip together to Limerick Ger pointed out all the brothels in the city to me. He also appointed out another building to me and said: “That’s where I had my first gay experience”.

I do feel its important for the diocese to be aware of all these details and the lack of integrity, morals and principles exercised by a man in his position and that maybe Ger should also be considered for counselling, therapy, assessment for these issues to be addressed.

I also requested an apology from Mr Fitzgerald in my sworn affidavit and after the meeting two months ago. Cleo did mention that it was not the right time.

I never did get an answer.

Has Mr Fitzgerald given any more consideration as to whether I will receive a sincere apology. It would give me closure from all this trauma as he was denying everything and led to me being ridiculed as a liar and being at the receiving end of abuse from his supporters.

An apology would start the healing process and we could all move on peacefully from this situation.

PAT SAYS

Yvonne never dought to get involved with Ger Fitzgerald

Ger asked her out on a date 3 to 4 times and she refused. She had no time for priests.

Eventually, she agreed to go out with him.

They then dated for 6 months.

After they had sexual intercourse Get cooled off and distanced himself.

Ger in white

Naturally, Yvonne felt used and cast off.

Yvonne was by no means Ger’s first sexual conquest.

Ger was a priest with a public promise of celibacy.

Yvonne has no such attachments.

Get acted improperly.

He needs to apologise to Yvonne.

FATHER GAY SLATTERY

Fr Gay Slattery passed away this week in Dublin. RIP.

He taught philosophy in Clonliffe for a while and later worked in Clontarf parish.

He was quite a looker as a young man and a great favourite of Archbishop McQuaid.

He disappeared very suddenly 20 year ago as a relatively young man.

I wonder what happened?

I don’t get where your coming from, she was in a relationship with Ger, it turned sexual, from comments elsewhere on the blog I doubt Ger rocked her world. He ghosted her. This happens all the time, why not just move on? Plenty of fish in the sea.

Yvonne has never looked for anything of monetary value from the diocese. An apology is a cheap lesson learned for Ger.

@7.25 It must be a terrible affliction to be that cynical first thing in the morning. If a person in this situation wanted financial compensation they could have it in plenty. The sincerity of a grievance expressed without such a request is lost on some. I wonder why that would be….. β€œfrom the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”

Again, the fact that priesthood has always attracted to it men of such weak moral character as Ger Fitzgerald suggests that there is something innately wrong with priesthood itself. What could it be? Why would something supposedly β€˜sacred’ attract to its serried ranks the most and utterly profane among us?

Paedophiles, ephebophiles, rapists, sexual philanderers, liars, self-seekers, the impious, the prayerless, the faithless, the purveyors of platitudes in the absence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ… anyone of these has featured regularly on this blog, especially the liars. Among priests, liars are common issue, probably over-represented.

Such a mixed moral bag, but with one signal feature: they ALL don’t give the proverbial about Jesus Christ and the Gospel.

Then again, why would they? And why would they, character-wise, be anything other than what they are and what the rest of us have come to expect? The immorally exceptional from the tediously unexceptional men who proclaim themselves Christ’s ministers.

They are the predictable product of an entirely man-conceived contrivance, priesthood, destined to have all the inglorious success of an institution not even a consideration in the mind of Christ as he broke bread and drank wine with followers whose successors, in pursuit of more worldly ambitions, would cynically turn the course of Christianity from its professed and original goal: the salvation of humankind.

Yes, if someone carried on like that in a workplace they would quickly be notorious and avoided. His department would be wary of having a Christmas do in case he misbehaves….
In fact I think he should wear a special collar so that people can see him coming. Oh, he is.

Forgive me, Shammy boy, for calling you a liar when, really, you are just not very bright and, persuasively speaking, are very hard work indeed, to an almost sainted degree.

That comment was a criticism of the gross injustice inflicted by the institutional church on the very people who DID NOT rape or sodomise young children, or rape or sodomise adults, including the learning-disabled. Why should these pay compensation for crimes they did not commit? You don’t believe, do you, that the innocent here should suffer for the guilty? For romanist priests?

My comment was not a suggestion that victims of these crimes ought not be compensated, but that they be compensated by the guilty: by those who ACTUALLY raped or sodomised them, criminal priests, not by those who did no such thing.

You do get this point, don’t you?

(Sigh😩) It’s going to go right over your head, isn’t it, Shammy boy?Just as do most other things on this blog.

And what is wrong with mocking fools, Shammy boy? Jesus mocked the Pharisees for being ‘fools!’.
Mocking those who, knowingly, pay princely financial compensation for the atrocious crimes of romanist priests, just because they are priests, is hardly a matter for reprimand.
Not one of those priests, and the institution they serve over Christ, would pay such compensation for a lay person in the same situation. They wouldn’t bale any of us out. So this makes these people utter fools in my eyes (or ‘sheepish’).
You might think these fools laudable, Shammy boy, but then… you would.
Bear in mind that no priest anywhere in Ireland, North and South, has ever admitted to his parishioners that the money they donate to the Church will, at least in part, be used to compensate for the priests that abused THEIR children and the institution that enabled this abuse. Imagine: taking the punishment rightly credited to those who raped your own child or grandchild, your nephew or niece.
I think it right to mock such imbeciles.

This is the perfect illustration of my comment yesterday to Fr Mummy Thinks I’m Special that the church keeps people at a late adolescent/ young adult/ uni age state. Sexual experimentation belongs to that age group and while it is not unknown in older people it is not appropriate to a person in Christian leadership.
I have a theory that the situation was even worse in the days of minor seminary, which would freeze a person’s development in early adolescence. I would also theorize (although it is unlikely research would ever be able to be done on this) that the minor seminaries and associated freezing of development were responsible for the peak of clerical sexual abuse from the sixties to the eighties.
I am specifically thinking of England and the US, where minor seminaries would also have been set up relatively recently with a time lag so that existing priests emotionally functioning at an adolescent level met the increasing liberalism of sex after world war 2.

We remain faithful to our commitment made all those years ago and we continue to serve in ministry as Jesus wants…The easy throwaway sound byte that “they’re all at it and all maladjusted” as 8.48 hypothesises has been proven to be the big lie which some like to present. You are right: 8.48 is absurd and uneducated.

Like

3:38 you have misunderstood my comment. You were educated during the statistical peak of the abuse. You will see my comment said that my theory (which is all it is) is that the minor seminaries contributed to the peak of abuse. To infer from your class that my theory is worthless both shows that you misunderstood my comment or didn’t bother reading it. If you had read it you would see that I was not referring to your class. If you were better educated you would understand that talking about your class is of no relevance to a larger theory because the two samples are unrelated. As it happens a friend of mine went to a minor seminary in the seventies and sucked off half his class, but I wouldn’t dream of implying that that applied to all classes in all minor seminaries, because I’m an educated man.
You’d have been better asking your parents to send you to a proper school.

Thank you 4:45

Like

3.38
Not even one allegation? How do you know? By your own admission, you were educated in a time when the ‘Pontifical Secret’ (from 1974) held canonical sway.
The Secret required any allegation of abuse itself, by a romanist priest, to remain in-house: in other words, there was to be no repeat of even the allegation, let alone any supportingbevidence, outside the canonical process. Victims of paedophile and ephebophile romanist priests, and women and men raped by priests, were now self- conveniently muzzled by the institutional church. This wasn’t so before 1974.
So how can you be certain that no such allegation exists? I shouldn’t boast if I were you. There is still time. But even if time doesn not reveal the truth here, eternity will.
Romanist priesthood, by its very divinely unwilled nature, is corrupt, and therefore will always produce moral corruption among priests; it always has done. Because its orientation is only ostensibly towards Christ; its actual orientation is much more earthbound than that.
You know what Gamaliel said, before the Sanhedrin, of Jesus’ earliest followers? If what they were was not intended by God, their discipleship would not last? Well, he was right in the sense that anything appointed by men, or much worse, would not last long before its true nature would tell.
Gamaliel’s words could apply easily to romanist priesthood. This was never intended by Jesus, and, as a result, Catholics the world over have been experiencing the insidious effects of its true nature ever since.
You identified neither yourself nor your class, so we have only your word, as a romanist priest, that there exists no allegation, against either you or any of your classmates, of sexual abuse of a minor or other.
I know how much store I set by the word of a romanist priest alone.

I am continuing my reading of analysis and research into clerical sexual abuse and it makes for absorbing, thought-provoking and sad reading.

And demonstrating that you have literally no understanding of child abuse, because you are claiming a lack of accusations that you know of as, well, meaning anything at all. If you actually understood the nature of the abuse crisis you would not state that supposed fact at all. In fact not only do you not understand abuse you have no fear of God because otherwise you would say that there is no accusation that you are aware of and you pray every day that hopefully that means there wasn’t any. Instead you come on here arrogantly spouting how superior you think you are and insulting other people. You have a lot to learn young man – and I can assure you I am certainly older than you. You should be on your knees praying that children will be free of any abuse by your year, you smug fool.
Get on your knees and ask God to teach you humility and also that he will show you the reality of child abuse.
You are a fool and an arrogant one at that, used to the pious faithful telling you how wonderful you are.
But if you have got to your age and have so little understanding of the suffering your so called holy church and satanic colleagues have inflicted on little ones, your life is a waste and a failure.
No priest can be so arrogant and deranged in 2021 as to say confidently that there has been no abuse accusations against his year. When did you last have safeguarding training? You need to be trained now because any previous training hasn’t sunk in.
Idiot.
Just know that your arrogance and smugness will be punished after your death.
But then I expect you don’t believe in God.

Sadly, when you narrate the many stories of strange behaviours, criminal abuse, hypocrisy on some moral issues, cover up of abuse, misappropriation of money, clericalism in its abuse of power and ither issues, the reality is very inglorious and not what Jesus Christ ever intended. There is a critical need for a complete overhaul of a theology of the human person which acknowledges their dignity as God’s creation and thus deserving of meaningful roles in our parishes. I truly believe that priesthood as presently understood and lived is harmful spiritually and psychologically. The multitude of crises has accentuated the dysfunctionality which is destroying any positive perspective being presented as acceptable. While manynoriests individually are deeply aware if the crisis of identity we are experiencing and acknowledge the contributing factors, we try as best we can to work with a sense of dedication to the ideal we enbraced at Ordination and act with a spiritual integrity and conscience. Despite the horror words Magna uses to describe clerics – which is his mantra – I concur with his perspective that the Church needs to be literally broken apart and rebuilt as there is a destructive dysfunctionality which is a barrier to any possible renewal in Christ. But I believe that Magna’s disdainful dismissal of the many, genuinely good and human (kind, caring, compasdionate) priests is unfair and offensive. The many colleagues i encounter in my life all feel the challenge of the crises we are in. At one level, the challenges are exciting but at another level we seem lost and being mostly on our own in parishes, we must give priority to our normal day to day responsibilities. Many of us too engage in meaningful debate as to how we can recreate anew the priesthood we are given and how we can recreate New, meaningful roles for parishioners. That is my present approach: animate, encourage and invite: affirm all in their baptismal dignity and facilitate a sense of all of us together “owning” the community of Christ and developing this collegiality, ministry and solidarity. All of this has to be rooted in Christ and his gospel.

I do not normally agree with anything that Magna Carta posts on this blog. However, he does a fairly identifies a number of very negative characteristics that some have displayed. But, he fails to acknowledge that these characteristics also exist in why the human society, and that is for his argument becomes weak.

The problem is NOT the priesthood. The problem is the individuals who have been ordained to the priesthood. Usually, these people should never have been ordained, and should never have been admitted to the seminary in the first instance. This reflects a failure of formation; it reflects the fact that bishops have displayed poor judgement in their selection and acceptance of candidates for the priesthood. In fact, most bishops in Ireland are utterly useless.

Examples:

Browne in Kerry who is utterly incapable of making a decision; a characteristic that he also shares with Monaghan in Killaloe. The former ordained Fr. Jones and the latter bishop is incapable of taking disciplinary action against Fr. Fitzgerald.

Crean in Cloyne who still has not consecrated the altar where a deceased priests gave fellatio to an individual (who if it is true) was a seminarian in the news that the time and has now been advanced to the clerical state.

Deenihan is incapable of dealing with an own sexual offender (Mark Kirby) in his diocese; he covers-up financial misfeasance in a Priory in his own patch; and, invites two abbots both of whom are deeply compromised to give him the fig leaf of cover that he was following due process.

So, we should not be surprised that the priesthood the priesthood on the island of Ireland is in such a rancid state. Morale is absolutely at rock bottom. Nobody decent would even contemplate becoming a priest today. And, anybody who is seriously considering a vocation to priestly ministry should be discouraged. They would be far better getting married and raising a Christian family.

The failure of Lugs to deal with Fr. Fitzgerald is not entirely surprising. The behaviour that he has displayed is not really shocking. It is only a matter of time before more revelations occur. As the commentator at 11:19 observed a gay twist is making this sordid tale even more troubling. I think it is only a matter of time before we learn that β€œFr. Ger” has a proclivity for prostitutes and perhaps a cocaine habit.

Knock Knock and NOT one bit of Christianity about you and all the false cautions or your thoughts.
I would be surprised if you have every worked in a work place because people have rights just the same way as clergy has with one difference and that is the Vatican works slower.
Yvonne is wasting her time and energy contacting Killaloe Diocesan bishop, clergy or Staff as the matter between Yvonne and Ger is completed and really the nearest shredder please or straight to spam.
Bishop Ray is a Holy and humble person and makes decisions regularly however his task is horrendous with some of the Clergy in Kerry Diocese who want to do their own thing and it has a massive clergy shortage and too many buildings.
Bishop Monahan has completed the investigation into Ger and Yvonne and Yvonne has been informed that matter is closed end of but she does not understand and really if anyone goes to court they cannot go back five weeks later and say i forgot this bit.
Ger Fitzgerald is on a leave of absence just like many take time out so he is not suspended and just now there is no canonical trail as the Bishop cannot have contact with him until he decides to return and Father Des Hillary is the link person due to Ger’s leave of absence.
On Ger’s return it maybe decided that he seeks psychological help or a retreat but when you have done nothing worry why would you so he has taken a leave of absence however if it had been a sabbatical then it would be up to a year structured but he is on a leave of absence.
Do I think Yvonne is getting an apology well i maybe wrong but she would have a better chance on Lotto.
Bishop Crean is just seeing his time out and retire however all the talk is from this blog not from Parishioners of the Parish concerned.
Bishop Deenihan has done nothing wrong in Canon Law and senior Canon Lawyers have looked at it and nothing at all as Bishop Tom has responsibility for the Dioceses of Meath and the authorities have the financial powers over the Prior and there is NO evidence as yet against the Abbot.
Finally you end with Ger and Yvonne and the latest so what are you trying to do push Ger overboard as be assured that is not going to happen and the more Killaloe appears on here it just makes them more determined to get Ger another parish.
Ger Nash is leaving soon and his replacement will be announce shortly but he has more important things to do is worry about a lady 15 weeks on.<br /

Oh, here we go!
I wondered how long it would take to get round to that clerical self-serving twist: romanist priests are morally tempted more by the Devil; therefore, they require more prayer than lay Catholics to resist temptation; therefore, if more prayer isn’t offered for them (obviously by lay Catholics since they are much more numerous), they will weaken and sin; therefore, moral culpability for clerical sin lies principally with… lay Catholics.
Poor ‘Father’ really couldn’t help himself ; he wrestled heroically with moral temptation, but was pinned to the canvas by it.
All those abused children; all those cover-ups of these crimes; all the financial corruption; all the lack of prayer; all the sexual philandering by men like Ger Fitzgerald; all the debauchery by priests in gay saunas; all the sponging and mooching by them; none of these failings are down to them after all, but to you lay folk for not praying and sacrificing for them.
‘Father’ isn’t morally responsible for sodomising your 10-year-old son; YOU are, the lay folk, for your lack of piety and prayer!
Jerry Carey isn’t primarily responsible for jerking off in his car near or on a popular beach in Galway with families around; YOU are, the laity, for not spending longer in prayer!
This overcooked tripe, this excuse for morally and criminally erring priests, has been served up many times, even by Sister Briege Mc Kenna in her book ‘Miracles Do Happen’. It is as cowardly and immature as it is gravely wrong.

Anon 5:32, Anon 2:45 has misrepresented the context. Priests should be honest to their vow of celebacy as I said many times. Pope Francis wrote that a lapse of the vow can be forgiven. A lot of comment makers on here were scourging the wayward padre at the pillar. I merely asked for compassion, forgiveness and understanding of the vocational anxiety.
There are more important topics to discuss. There are many good women and married men who are deserving of joining the priesthood but they are not allowed. I have sympathy for these people when they hear of people in clerical state who are not being fully honest. Possibly a topic for another day.

Your question, what the HELL is going on?, contains the seed of its own answer.

It isn’t Heaven that is responsible for such a morally corrupt institution as romanist priesthood.

Like

Yes of course you’re right. Although I’m still laughing at the idea that priests are met everywhere they go by this collection of porn star temptresses gagging to lead them off the straight and narrow. What a bizarre idea of women they have.

Sexuality in check with masturbation is a bit rich given the Catholic Church condemns masturbation as β€˜intrinsically disordered’ and according to Pesonae Humanae and Humane Vitae, because de facto the unitive and procreative element are disrupted, a mortal sin – seems rather hypocritical to suggest that wanking is a legitimate coping mechanism for Catholic Clergy when clearly they teach it is immoral and sinful – I guess the reposte (and truth is) one rule for them another for everyone else or the clergy just cum clean and admit that the teaching on masturbation is just plain wrong, outdated and flies in the face of human experience- and like say the teaching on Limbo let it slide (develop) into the dustbin of history of history, as if it never existed.

Like

Absolutely. I was expressing a personal opinion. The strict application of what you say would ensure either yet more duplicity or no priests at all. The other way around it would be only to ordain men who have lost any interest in it.

Women have affairs with priests. Good priests leave the priesthood and start a new life. Bad priests stay, break their promise, bring scandal and exploit the woman. Men have affairs with priests. Priests stay in the priesthood, nobody bat’s an eyelid.

The notion of a Catholic priest shagging a parishioner bareback on the basis that condoms are proscribed and they have scruples is not just hilarious it is also deeply offensive – what part of unwanted pregnancy and an STD don’t they get.
To be honest I think not wearing a condom should be a criminal offence.

A parish priest no doubt in breach of the sanctity of the confessional told me that his curate struggled with porn and masturbation as if the poor thing had committed mass murder and was a heinous sinner.
Most Roman Catholic clergy are in adolescent lock and seldom mature either emotionally or sexually.

3.54: I didn’t misread your comment but you certainly misread my comment at 3.38, as did Magna, which is no surprise. And aside from your condescending tones, I’m certain the education I received at primary, second level, seminary and university and subsequent education courses, I am well clued in to the realities of the crises of the Church I belong to. I am well capable of embracing truth, however unpalatable. It has always been my contention that, priests, unless they educate themselves psychologically, spiritually, prayerfully and socially, can all too easily fall deeper into a clericalism mind set, thus my reason for availing of such on-going opportunities. Despite your dismissive cynicism and Magna’s disdainful, offensive verbiage I will not be deterred from commitment to priesthood which I embraced many years ago. From some of the non-clerical commenters who spew out poison on this blog, may I suggest they avail of human development courses!!

Of you, β€˜I will not be deterred from commitment to priesthood’; this suggests that you already feel under pressure to be so.

Your resolution pinpoints where your loyalty really lies: with the institutional church and its laws, through that treacherous vow or promise you made at your ordination, to serve not Jesus Christ, but an organisation you now know is steeped, worldwide, in moral evil and in criminality.

I presume you were ordained as a young man; this may mitagate your ritualised betrayal of Christ on that self-serving day of ignorance and immaturity on your part. But you have no grounds to plead either now, priest.

Like

5.36: Thank you Magna for the compliment of β€œbeing a young man” at ordination. Not exactly at 34…Received my education first and worked a few years…I might agree with some of your insights if they were free of the caustic put downs they carry. I know where my priorities lie: not as you presume: not as you might want nor anywhere close to your imagination. Perhaps I was fortunate to have been wisely guided by my grandmother and parents and wonderfully Christian neighbours, but I never thought of serving or following anyone but Christ. I agree that priesthood has been sullied by many and requires visionary renewed understanding but you can’t attribute to all clerics your biased assumptions and judgments. Thatbyou continue to be so rude, dismissive and judgmental in so destructive a manner by referring to my immaturity and ignorance is revealing of a deep inner dysfunctionality, rage and jealousy within you, all hewn out of your own personal, negative life’s experiences. It is not in my nature to abuse or use my role in any condescending or nasty manner with people – except when you tempt me!!

6:29 you are ready to give unwelcome advice out to everyone else so here is some for you.
The days are gone when a priest can say, for example, but I have never abused a child, and consider it unfair when he is tarred with the same brush
You need to engage with the powerful and privileged position the church has had in the past and the reality that that position has gone.
Because members of your church have behaved abusively and criminally, you have to start accepting some responsibility for the dark history of your church. If you persist in going β€˜but I have never….’, you make it all about you.
Many priests who comment here think that they are treated very badly because of the behaviour of others. Not so. It is now abundantly clear that you have all without exception been milking your position of privilege.
The revelations of your church’s behavior which will come out in the future will be even worse and unless you start behaving like a Christian about this, it will just get worse.
Your credibility is shot and you are an apparatchik of a criminal organization.

Well your comment to me wasn’t exactly polite so you a) brought it on yourself and b) once again are reduced to insults because you have made a fool of yourself. People with inadequate education almost never know it, except naturally very bright people, who will wisely listen to their betters. But you’re not among their number. If you were, you would pay attention to Magna, who is a very intelligent and educated man. I myself frequently learn things from his comments.

My parents inculcated in all of us good human value of respect for others. Methinks, sir, that my way of life as a priest is simply abhorrent to you. I fear your unaware and. completely out of touch with your own condescending tone – and so classically clerical to flag up your educational trajectory – as if anybody gives a shiny – we get it, you can read and write – i imagine your approach to lay people is along the lines of β€˜do you not realise that I am better than you because I’m ontologically changed – I can change water into wine, can you do that?’
And before you ask – yes I’m educated and yes I can read and write!!

People obsess about Catholic understanding of sacramental theology involving ontological change.

If you are baptised, you are also ontologically changed.

It’s not a statement of superiority or inferiority – it’s simply a way of stating that a particular sacrament need not be – and can’t be repeated.

Sacramental so-called ‘personal ontology’ is not a statement of ‘superiority or inferiority’?πŸ˜…
It is not even a statement of fact.πŸ˜•
Neither sacrament is efficacious in any way, in terms of personal redemption; this is a matter of choice, requiring adult maturity. It is this choice that is the first step in personal ontology; a sacramental ritual cannot substitute for this.
Romanist priests emphasise their own so-called ‘personal ontology’ through ordination to the priesthood; they never mention that supposedly through their baptism. Funny that, if ‘sacramental theology involving ontological change’ isn’t about superiority or inferiority.
I suppose the assumed ontological character of baptism is just too common-or-garden for romanist priests. Too indistinguishing for them from run-of-the-mill lay folk.

You should stress that the double quotes are only for quoting people within a passage in single quotes. Unless you are speaking American English in which case it’s the other way round.
Personally I like to mix the two but of course really that’s wrong.

I find it tedious checking for fresh comments. Mostly, but not always, if the comment is a reply, it follows the one being replied to, but not always. This is not helped by comments made anonymously with no indication or link to who or what is being referred to or commented on.
Are some commentators so afraid of β€œexposure ” as to avoid using a pseudonym, or are they just thoughtless, or stupidly unaware. Certainly some comments read like missiles hurled in a fit of pique.

In Ennis town
Where I did dwell
A butcher girl
I knew so well
She courted Ger
His life away
And now with her
Ger will not stay
I wish I wish
But I wish in vain
I wish Ger was
A gay again
But gay again
Ger ne’er can be
Till apples grow
On an ivy tree
She went upstairs
To go to bed
And calling to
Her mother said
Bring me a chair
Till I sit down
And a pen and ink
Till I write down
I wish I wish
But I wish in vain
I wish Ger was
A gay again
But a gay again
Ger ne’er can be
Till apples grow
