THE JESUIT PAEDOPHILE FR JOSEPH MARMION – THE MONSTER OF BELVEDERE.

Marmion

This week the Irish Jesuits issued a statement about one of their priests who abused boys for 50 years.

“After the naming in public of Joseph Marmion SJ last March the Jesuits in Ireland appealed for anyone who had any complaints, concerns or questions to contact our Safeguarding Office.

It was clear from what was communicated to us from those impacted by Marmion’s emotional, psychological, physical and sexual abuse, that they wanted a robust process that would address the whole truth of what happened and how it was allowed to happen

After consultation with survivors and others the Provincial, Fr Leonard Moloney, asked two independent restorative justice practitioners to engage with those survivors who wished to, in order to further identify their needs and ways to meet them.

Through this process it was also intended that the full story of Jesuit knowledge, actions and omissions would be told and that answers would be provided to the questions that are being brought forward.

One strand of this process involved the preparation of a detailed chronology and Jesuit Response to the Joseph Marmion history.

What has emerged in terms of the story of Marmion’s abuse, and subsequent handling of his case is shameful for us Jesuits and must be very difficult for survivors to read. Decisions were made that should never have been made and decisions that should have been made were not. There are no excuses.

We are profoundly sorry for the terrible wrongs that were done to survivors. We again ask forgiveness of all those impacted by Joseph Marmion’s abuse.

We understand that words are never enough, no matter how sincerely meant or felt. But it is our deep hope that this first step in owning our story, shameful as it is, and acknowledging fully the role we played as an Order in allowing this abuse to happen and go on for so long, will be the beginning of a new way for us of taking responsibility for our failings.

We understand the justifiable anger, or range of reactions that many survivors may feel on reading the details of this story of abuse and how it was handled.

We want to invite anybody impacted by what they have now read, should they wish to do so. to contact the restorative practitioners:

Catherine O’Connell Catherine.oconnell@mu.ie 0879936237

Barbara Walshe barbarawalshe@live.com 0868186639 or

Saoirse Fox, Child Safeguarding Manager in the Jesuit Safeguarding Office; email safeguarding@jesuit.ie 089 264 4400

The Provincial hopes also that through these ongoing restorative and restitutional processes, the Jesuits will have the opportunity to make their apology in person to survivors”.

PAT SAYS

The Irish Jesuits first knew about Marmion’s paedophilia in 1948.

They received shocking complaints about him in the 1970s.

But he was allowed to continue his activities.

They even allowed him to bring 25 boys each year, on his own, to Austria, where he drugged, raped and abused boys.

He was also a violent monster as a teacher and perfected the art of humiliating and beating boys.

He was a bully in every Jesuit community he served in.

Now that the proverbial shit has hit the fan, the Jesuits and their current slippery provincial, Leonard Maloney, are involved in a PR and save the cash manoeuvre.

Maloney

They are apparently very interested in being open AFTER HALF A CENTURY!

Some time ago I had dealings with Leonard and his safeguarding people over the then Jesuit, Paul Prior.

I SAY TO ALL VICTIMS

Do not trust Leonard and the Jesuits.

Only talk to the Garda and your lawyers.

177 replies on “THE JESUIT PAEDOPHILE FR JOSEPH MARMION – THE MONSTER OF BELVEDERE.”

Funny how now it’s hit the fan the Jesuits role out three women (no doubt richly remunerated) to apologise and take the flack for Marmion the Perv.
They are a craven crowd running for cover now there’s no where to hide.
Joke; what do you call a Jesuit at the bottom of the ocean? A good start.

Would you joke about the rape of a child by a priest? Or is nothing off-limits to you?

Some jokes are best left untold.

Like

Pat at 6.00pm, Fair enough. I have a few Jesuit jokes, too. But just not as tasteless as the one earlier.

An example: had the Three Wise Men been Jesuits instead of far-eastern kings, they’d have presented their gifts before the Christ-child before turning to his parents and asking: Have you given any thought as to the boy’s future education?

A farmer invites two Jesuits to Sunday lunch. The wife wonders if she could cook one or two chickens 🐥

The farmer says two. “We can one with the Jesuits and use the other during the week ourselves”.

The Jesuits came to Sunday luch and ate the two chickens!

The farmer was showing the Jesuits around the farm after lunch and a large cock passed in front of them.

“Paddy”, said one of the Jesuits, ” thats a very proud cock you have”.

“And why wouldn’t he be proud” said the farmer, “he has two sons in the Jesuits”.

Dom Bede Rowe and Dom Anselm (Alexander) Redman have both submitted their resignation to Bishop Declan Lang effectively from 1st September 2021. They are in discussion with the FSSPX about starting a Benedictine chapter, initially at S. Saviour’s Priory, Bristol but with the intention of purchasing a house somewhere in the West Country for a continuation of the monastery. A condition of a peaceful transition is that Dom Bede was requested by Bishop Declan to delete his blog.

I don’t believe it. I am sure the FSSPX would not overlook certain weaknesses. It’s a strange old world but I am sure the RCC won’t lose any sleep over their decision.

Like

‘Are you seeking to blame this generation for the cover up of previous generations?’
Marmion’s abuse was well within living memory and any attempt to credit it to previous generations is a distancing which equals denial. It is also part of the church’s untrue narrative that clerical sexual abuse is a thing which is over, they’re very sorry and everything has changed.
This is an attempt to evade the effects and consequences of the church’s immoral behaviour in actively helping paedophiles to abuse. As is any narrative which attempts to turn the ongoing effects of the church’s behaviour into a situation where the church is persecuted.
Bollocks.

He is is Peronist – meaning Machivelian – he says one thing one day, another the next. Anything to stay in power.
If he returned to Argentina, diplomatic immunity aside, they have enough on him regarding cover up of child abuse in Deaf schools to arrest him.
They burnt churches in Chilie so pissed we’re the people with him for ordaining a known child abuser as a bishop. He didn’t believe them – taunting, ‘Show me the evidence.’
Burning churches did the trick – he sent the little Maltese bishop to investigate – he did, wrote a 2000 page report concluding the people were right the priest he ordained was a child abuser.
And finally a little known Jesuit fact – although Pope Francis refers to the poor incessantly the Jesuits in the UK alone are worth we’ll over half a billion – yes £500 million and that’s just the UK – worldwide must be pushing well over 1 billion and some – money to feed the poor? I believe we need to establish a model of dialogue and interaction in the lines of a Truth and Reconciliation forum whereby we allow all victims/survivors or representative groups dialogue constructively, all to be funded by the Jesuits but with total outside professionals as facilitators. I believe the admission by the Jesuits of so horrendous an amount of abuse over many, many years warrants the immediate setting up of a forum to facilitate victims/survivors a moment to tell their truths. None of us should now play recklessly with this awful experience to simply express a hatred of any group, individual or organisation. The main concern should be the welfare of all survivors and families who I hope will be supported, helped and l8stened to with total openness. There is such a deep sadness for all victims/survivors and their families. The report by the Jesuits is very open and honest but this abuse story needs an independent enquiry too.

Analysis of commercially available signal data obtained by The Pillar, which was legally obtained and whose authenticity The Pillar has confirmed, shows that during a period of 26 weeks in 2018, at least 32 mobile devices emitted serially occurring hookup or dating app data signals from secured areas and buildings of the Vatican ordinarily inaccessible to tourists and pilgrims.

At least 16 mobile devices emitted signals from the hookup app Grindr on at least four days between March to October 2018 within the non-public areas of the Vatican City State, while 16 other devices showed use of other location-based hookup or dating apps, both heterosexual and homosexual, on four or more days in the same time period.

The data set assessed by The Pillar is commercially available and contains location and usage information which users consent to be collected and commercialized as a condition of using the app.

Extensive location-based hookup or dating app usage is evident within the walls of Vatican City, in restricted areas of St. Peter’s Basilica, inside Vatican City government and Holy See’s administration buildings including those used by the Vatican’s diplomatic staff, in residential buildings, and in the Vatican Gardens, both during daytime hours and overnight.

Signals emitted from most of the Vatican’s extraterritorial buildings, which house the offices of several key Curial departments were excluded from analysis because of the proximity of tourists, pilgrims, and the general public to those buildings on a daily basis.

Leonard Maloney S.J. and Saoirse Fox will be subpoenaed and forced to reveal in a court of law which person internal to the Irish Jesuit Order hacked, or was party to hacking, Saoirse Fox’s email and used said email address to both communicate with and mislead persons external to the Irish Jesuit Order.

The SJs are one mixed up crew. On the one hand they are incredibly right on, all into justice and peace, the preferential option for the poor, upholders of the rights of refugees, focused on climate change and preachers of liberation theology.
Then, on the other hand, they have a huge investment portfolio and a vast network of private schools and universities for the rich, which do so much to embed and perpetuate class privilege.
Which is the real Jesuit charism – Belvedere, Stoneyhurst and Georgetown, or the JRS and living in Dublin Corporation flats in Ballymun?

You on Tinder for men, Scruff, Growlr, Fabguys. or Squirt what do you prefer.
Never been on any meeting sex site but our PI’S watch them when ticked off and the saunas too.
Getting data is hard in the UK and Ireland due to GDPR.
And Clergy would not give over their personal mobiles you just need to ask Fintan about his two sex Priests AKA Ger and Jerry.
they should all have diocesan email addresses and any contact to do with the Parish should not be on personal mobiles or email addresses.

The Jesuit’s are associated with:
The Refugee Centre (Sarah Teather former Liberal Democrat MP – huge salary no doubt and v earnest, seldom smiles. She played a key role in turning on Charles Kennedy and turning that political screw).
Arizona and Roman Observatory: they are into the stars – Fr Chris Moss (I know you couldn’t make it up) is among one of many science nerds. Not sure what contribution they make the world science – makes up for doing the dirty on Galileo.
Stonyhurst: Snob central – old boys bang on about being former pupils – Lord Alton springs to mind and I think Charles Whitehead and Paul Johnson.
The Gregorian (The Greg): Less money for old rope than more degrees for old boys – seldom does a priest fail an exam – STLs for the boys.
Heythrop: Off the wall theology and no more as far as I can gather.
Farm Street: Jesuit HQ/UK – Mayfair, loaded and don’t they know it.
Martin Scorsese film about Jesuit’s in Japan losing their faith and getting off with Japanese totty was v good – at least they weren’t abusing kids.
Counter Reformation: Key players but got more into torture and the Inquisition than the gospel.
Jesuit a by word for subterfuge, duplicity and deception – nothing changed on that front.
Famous Jesuits or Js; Ignatius of Loyola, Francis Xavier, Charles Borromeo, Cardinal Bea, Peter de Rosa.
Maybe we are seeing the demise of religious orders – they had their hay day but all that remains is pay massive compensation to victims of child abuse and shit the whole thing down.
How many Jesuit’s does it take to change a lightbulb? Two, one to change the lightbulb, the other to nag you to death about the preferrential option for the poor whilst living embarrassing luxury.

Not forgetting the two British ex-Jesuits who packed in the priesthood and then spent the rest of their lives hanging around the Church, to good lucrative effect.
I’m talking about Michael Walsh, writer of popular church history books and heterodox tv talking head, to whom the Jesuits gave the sincecure of librarian of Heythrop; and Peter Hebblethwaite, a heterodox Vaticanologist and commentator. I often saw his wife at Mass at Greyfriars, Oxford. Peter, of course, didn’t go to Mass.

Sarah Teather now says she’s in favour of same-sex marriage and repents of having voted against it when she was an MP.
I hope she also repents of austerity, which she as an Orange Book Libdem, voted for every time when in coalition.
The Irish Jesuits are no better. Their so-called social theologian is an ex-Catholic turned Presbyterian, who was a lay student in Maynooth.

It’s not clear what work he is actually doing from the website. In Wrexham he is likely to be at St Beuno’s, though.
I see he admitted some of the charges.

@.9.40pm do schools or youth visit? How come he has been allowed to remain a priest. Shouldn’t he be living a life of prayer and penance and forbidden to present himself as a priest? It’s staggering to be honest.

Unfortunately all too often the reaction of some in the church to complains or concerns raised is to attempt to pacify people, pat them down until it blows over. Invariably it never blows over but things come to a head in an irreparable way. A priest of my previous acquaintance who took this attitude to an issue in his parish has since been appointed the designated liason person for safeguarding in the diocese. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️The jesuits need to face up to this situation in an open and impartial way, where the needs of the people affected are truly met, this is the only thing which can bring closure.

The source for Paul Prior’s troubles was the Ronan Drury encounters. Encounters of a violation to one’s body in a physical provocation. Meaning dressed up fetish theme parties of princess, baby girl and super woman.

Pat will you please stop letting this person print shite about Ronan Drury? How the f**k did a grown man like Prior let a small built man like Ronan abuse him? Why didn’t Prior report him or punch him or walk out? Stop letting whoever this is tear a dead man’s reputation to pieces!

It’s shocking the fall of Paul Prior from his position of authority and control over young males. 😳

Pat look more into which seminarians and Priests have a DLP assigned to them. Some seminarians just are on and off from the monitoring protocols. It depends on relapse.
