VINCENT NICHOLS GIVES POPE FRANCIS THE TWO FINGER SALUTE 🤯

CARDINAL VINCENT NICHOLS IS GIVING POPE FRANCIS THE TWO-FINGER SALUTE BY PROCEEDING WITH A LATIN MASS IN WESTMINSTER CATHEDRAL THIS COMING SATURDAY !

The Mass is being celebrated by a strange Anglo American called Fr Henry Whisenant, a priest of another English diocese.

SATAN INTERFERING WITH THE LIVE STREAMING OF MASS 👿

NEWS FR WHISENANT CONSIDERED ENTERING SILVERSTREAM AT ONE TIME AND WAS WARNED OFF KIRBY.

PAT SAYS

The highly advertised Latin Mass happening this coming Saturday in Westminster Cathedral is a deliberate insult to Francis and his recent instructions.

I suppose Nichoks doesn’t care much at this stage as he has gone as far as he can go and he is more or less ready for his retirement in the caravan with Sister Carmel.

I cannot understand these staunch Roman Catholics being so blatently disobedient to to the pope.

He has issued instructions that are binding all Catholic bishops, priests and laity.

And they are basically answering NO.

JPII and Benedict let a lot of nut cases loose in the church – the Legionaries of Christ, the Neo-cats, Opus Dei and the Latin Mass loonies.

And the lunatics, as you would expect, are trying to take over the asylum.

Nurse Francis, Nurse Roche & Co are trying to get them back into the locked wards.

I dont envy them their job.

Cardinal Nichols is showing the heart of a pastor by using his power to dispense from Bergoglio’s edict. I believe in subsidiarity and collegiality. Don’t be such an ultramontanist, Pat, please.

It’s truly politics if you dig deep enough and have the intelligence to work it out. It’s not a swipe at Francis at all. It’s a swipe at a fellow more cleverer Englishman who beat Vincent to the top post.

I think you’re right. Roach isn’t really a part of the Old Roman network. He undertook his seminary formation at Valladolid and then went as a mature priest student to the VEC. Although priest students have their names listed in the college’s Liber Ruber they are not considered to be true ‘Romans’ by the student body. That Roach has eclipsed Elsie (who departs in shame after IICSA) must be a source of pain and this is really his one fingered salute to the man. No doubt Carmen will console him in the Morecombe caravan with its stunning views across the Irish Sea.

By the way, Bergoglio is Pope Francis. Have some respect. How you you like it, Father, if your parishioners referred to you in such a dismissive way ?

Bergoglio is very humble, apparently, so he won’t mind being called Bergoglio. He is the servant of the servants of God, after all. I believe that is one of his titles.

Pope Francis will win the war.
I trust His Excellency Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti would have that sent to the Vatican and if he has not those Careerists who think they may get Westminster has likely informed Archbishop Roche.
Pope Francis will not turn back he will go faster now rather than slower.
Elsie will be mad because Archbishop Roche will be made a Cardinal and it is expected this year.

Fr Henry Whisenant, I very much doubt is able to tell the difference between a conjugation and a declension. These Latin Mass young fogeys learn the stuff by rote, but have not got a clue about what they are praying or saying. It’s a joke. It’s all about how precious they are and how important they think they are. They need to get off their arses and do a good day’s work rather than prancing around in fiddleback, lace and birettas. As for Nichols and his two fingers, well, I guess Francis can give as good as he takes, and it won’t take long for him to know what Nichols is up to. Francis will act.. Nichols will have his tail between his legs and it may well be the caravan with the nun for Nichols. Nichols pastoral, my arse. Nichols is supremely self-interested and ambitious. He might just find his ambition curtailed not just by age but by a kick up the arse from Francis. I hope so. It will be just desserts for Nichols. Cant stand the man.

Like

Yes. It was said of Cardinal Newman that the only beings in his world were himself and God. There is only one being in Cardinal Nichols’s world. The nun is a handmaiden.

Wow I listened to the babbling of this idiot Norfolk American who sounds as weird as weird can be? What the hell is Elsie doing giving him and his fellow nutters a platform at Westminster Cathedral? Also, Bishop Hopeless who is also on the way out is just leaving his successor with a problem by leaving this free range traditionalist to roam free across the country peddling abrogated liturgical rites. He should immediately appoint him to a parish and make sure he observes the approved rites of Catholic Church – for goodness sake he’s a boy and was never raised with these antiquated rites. It’s old forgery and nothing more. The sooner Elsie fades off to retirement in the caravan with Carmen the better. Cockroach better start cracking the whip now or his red hat will allude him.

Like

No such thing as “Eucharistic ministers”.

I think you mean extraordinary ministers (bishops, priests & deacons are the ordinary ministers). Extraordinary ministers are intended for exceptional circumstances, not everyday use. And of course you won’t find a word about them in Vatican II (same with Communion in the hand and removal of altar rails).

Acolytes are not and have never been ordinary ministers of Holy Communion. #fail

From the Code of Canon Law:

The Novus Ordo Missae is valid and licit and Catholic. But one thing I think is insufficiently appreciated is just how much it resembles the age that fashioned it. In other words, it’s the liturgy of a generation to which my peers and I famously have a very hard time relating.
My grandparents love that it’s so casual and comprehensible and relatable and flexible—all values of their age and not mine. Of course this was always the problem with making up our own liturgies with careful attention to “the signs of the times”: The times just don’t last very long.

Missa actually. Rather ironic (and amusing) that a devotée of Latin can’t get even that right.

Like

Missae is right because it’s genitive: new order of Mass.
I would avoid adding accents to words which look like they might be French. It’s affected and the idiomatic French word for what you are saying is passioné.
Devotee is the English word you are using.
Any of the books by Fowler are good to help write good unpretentious English and he specifically says to use simple words.

+ Pat, I am NOT surprised to see that Cardinal Nicholls is permitting the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) at Westminster Cathedral. A couple of observations. The recent Motu Proprio from Pope Francis expressly delegates jurisdiction for the TLM to the local Ordinary.
Of course, the real reason this liturgy is going ahead is not because of any spirit of disobedience the Pope Francis; it is quite simply: MONEY. Those who attend the TLM in the United Kingdom are well-heeled, so the English Catholic bishops will not want to lose an important revenue stream to the SSPX. Revenue generation is the primary understanding that drives most bishops.
In the words of the psalmist, I hate the TLM with a perfect hate. However, if people sincerely and genuinely want to attend a Eucharistic liturgy celebrated in that form then it must and should be celebrated where possible. It is an act of basic Christian charity. People must not be deprived of the sacraments due to ideology. However, I also accept that people like Cardinal Burke and the most fervent intercessors for the TLM give it a very bad name. And, it must be acknowledged there is a lot of negative theology and farcical ecclesiology associated with the TLM in mindset of these people.

What a CLASSIC deflection re Jewish rabbi or orthodox. But I’m talking about age old ancient dress that Burke wears which put me off. Rabbi or orthodox don’t wear that so called dress cappa Magna.
Imagine jesus come and watch it re all the drama and attention is drawn on Burke but no attention is focused on God himself. That’s plain wrong. The focus should be on jesus/God and should not distract any undue attention such as Burke with his ancient old dress, that’s solely reserved for God alone.
Just to remind you that jesus didn’t wear cappa Magna or laces and all its frilles at that time. He wore normal clothes & that’s about it.
Why all the drama and undue attention re lace dress and other ancient dress which isn’t necessary in my view. Nowhere, does it say it in the bible re this.

I remember KOB allowed the transalpine fags from Papa Stronsay to hold a Latin Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh. Remarkable power the bishops have – one day missing the Sunday Obligation is a mortal sin (no less) – the next day, no longer a mortal sin, and then lo and behold we’re back at imposing the obligation, no doubt under threat of eternal damnation.
I’m just asking, and probably being far to cynical, but I do wonder if the imposition of the Sunday obligation, has anything to do with the Sunday Collection (regular income you see) and nothing to do with contravening the First Commandment.

I love it when people reply to comments on here assuming a whole lot of things about the person from one comment. For example we have the idiot who assumes nobody who reads the blog goes to mass, and the reply above about enforcing humanae mortis.
It really shows a very narrow, heavily politicised view of humanity and if these comments are from clergy, I would doubt that they have the human understanding to be really useful to people.
For example it is perfectly possible to like the old mass and be very sceptical about the church’s position on contraception or abortion, or buy into a gay lifestyle, or even be transgender.
There will now be howls from the anti-abortion crowd who will ignore the rest of my comment and thus demonstrate the impoverishment of the church’s life by the dominance of one issue.

Apparently all the Bishop’s of England and Wales were invited, only Bishop David McGough, who was preventing from coming by his sisters death, and Bishop McMahon of Nottingham accepted the invitation, no wonder he received such a thunderous ovation from the clergy at dinner, a little less than that give when he mentioned Pope Benedict which was accompanied by a great deal of table banging and cries of “Viva” and even, “Magnus est”, and must of gone on for a couple of minutes, at least.

Wow, takes my breath away, I’m an anonymous poster but you show no hesitation in offering me advice on what I should confess.
Your preoccupation with what I confess distracted you – I said I used to go but years of confessing to such incompetent and dysfunctional clowns made me stop.
The Sacrament of Confession is a dead in the water sacrament – hardly anyone goes anymore and confessional is a place of abuse and power play.

3.31: Awwwww….indeed you should confess – but to yourself: confess your impoverishment of thought, intellect and decency. Seems to me you were/are one of those nutcases that often appear at the confessional…only to tell a childish, silly confession. Bless me Father for I have sinned; It’s a day since my last confession…What?? You are a gombeen.

4:43 Oh you prefer juicy sins, do you, ‘father’. Nice sexual sins that you can get off on.

Don’t worry Father I’ll make up some juicy stuff for my next confession to edify you.

Fr Whisenant has the most irritating, annoying and squeaky voice – I swear it’s like Mickey Mouse stuck down a drain.
The intensity of his voice smothers and makes you want to rush to get air to breathe as if he’s choking the life out of life.
Weird – another unhappy and repressed homosexual – being indulged and pampered by a soft lad (Bishop Hopeless).
Behind his rigidity (no pun intended) lurks a double life, things are not as they appear me thinks.

Ah the Knights of Malta get an honourable mention in Martels book – how can I write this without appearing rude – all right I’ll just say it, the Knights attract a cleric with a penchant, nay a predilection for pomp, circumstance and it’s members are thick as thieves with Dorothy. And if I may so, the title Monsignor in this context is honorific for when the noble Monsignor is returned to the parochial state he loses the honorarium and it passes to the next in incumbent. Ah the vagaries, slings and arrrows of outrageous clerical promotion and fortune!!

And pray what ‘clear’ issues might they be?
And if a Brum priest from what parish do you think I hail?
I feel insulted less by your accusation than by the paucity of your post – for God’s sake man if your going to insult me put some backbone into it.
Oh I forgot you probably can’t being a Brum priest yourself.

I love the idea of bishops and clergy sucking up to the Latin and Lace Brigade and McMahon and Stock and loads of Kiss My Ass clergy learning how to say the Latin Mass now scurrying for cover like rats on a sinking ship or like Peter warming his cold hands, ‘I do not know the man.’
Hilarious and v funny – Matthew Jollie of Oscott and Liverpool fame and convicted paedophile (he liked them cute apparently) was ordained wearing all that Latin Mass gear with thick as shite McMahon standing beside him like a grinning cat.
Revenge is a dish best served in the vernacular darling.

Henry Whisenant is a priest of East Anglia Diocese. At one point he went off to Australia to join a new Benedictine monastery there. That didn’t last and his Bishop then sent him on secondment to Warrington with the FSSP there to learn the Tridentine Mass. That seemed to go well and he is now back in East Anglia celebrating the Latin Mass out of a privately owned chapel.

Ah lads, Joe Merrick will be getting highly agitated at the promotion of Vatican II. Both as a little seminarian in Maynooth and as Dermo’s little secretary he promoted the traditional mass. The build up of anger will be epic.

So let’s get this clear. We’ve got enthusiasts of the new mass and enthusiasts of the old mass, and they’re both arguing saying the other side is gayer and has more abusers?
And presumably none of those arguing will admit to being a priest?
One thing is certain: the Catholic church is finished.

I think in fairness to the commenter above who tried to make the point that trads aren’t gay, we should say that Jolley isn’t gay, but he is a convicted child abuser with a preference for girls. 🤮

The majority of the Masses he atttended in his life and the ones he said as a priest were the Novus Ordo facing the people, lay readers, altar girls etc. His formation at Oscott was 100% in conformity with the Second Vatican Council his criminal perversion isn’t linked to wearing any particular form of vestments

Fr Brendan Smyth was a great man for the New Mass.

Clearly it demonstrates that the EF attracts an odd type. The point about the current missal is that’s it is normative. Just like missionary style sex between man and wife, Those who go seeking out the extraordinary sexual practices clearly feel missionary style sex isn’t enough for them, then end up in all kinds of trouble,

Sweetie the RC church attracts an odd type such as yourself and your queer comments comparing a missal to the missionary position 🤣

The old fraud Michael Commane (op) is attacking his province again on his blog, occasional scribbles. How does the AB of Dublin tolerate this fraud by giving him a diocesan chaplaincy. Hes a social odd ball who is incapable of living in community. He owns 2 houses (all while having a vow of poverty of course. He attempted to leave a few years back, but the German lady he shacked up with kicked him out, plus i suppose he has the security of knowing his order will have to look after him as he ages. What a burden!

I’m all for it re TLM but but I want to see laces and all its adds ons such as cappa magna dropped completely. Just wear the same vestments as NO priests used
to say their mass every day.
Found TLM useful especially spiritual graces. TLM posed lot of problems for deaf people with priests to their back which makes it difficult to lip read, Latin language not English and also it goes on far too long say 1hr 30 mins to 2 hours. My preference is quick mass with no sermon & then get out as soon as possible.
I abhor all the fancy dressing up re ancient vestments cos it means all undue and unwanted attention is on then but not of GOD. it’s like ladies discussing their new dress fad all day long. Mind you, I m not criticising the ladies but for the sake of an analogy. I’m aware that some deaf homosexuals are attracted to TLM cos lace and all its sundry. That’s why I wanted to see it scrapped re ancient old vestments et al.
Thats happened to old saying such as two or three are gathered in prayer as christ is among them.

I think the Latin Mass Lace Brigade are probably passive and the novus polyester a mix between active, straight and bi. JP Lytlle though is known as PB and was partial to polyester so not 100% correct but I reckon my theory is broadly correct.

I heard Blackfen enjoys much larger congregation numbers since the Latin mass was expelled.

I feel a bit sorry for Fr. Henry he seems to be searching and hasn’t found what he is looking for. Though I don’t think bishop Hopeless has helped. Fancy sending him to Msgr Harkness for his first curacy. Now he is one for Latin, dressing up, and if one remembers an embarrassing incident with a male barrister reported in the press in the early 1990s. I think Bishop Pat’s NofW covered it at the time….

I heard Fr Henry toys with sedevacantist ideas a few times a year. He has OCD and worries excessively that his ordination may not be valid.

Like

The criterion for an Orthodox Bishop’s validity is quite low. If he has at least four widows in black accompanying him, he’s okay.

This Fr. Henry should relax. As Reggie, of blessed memory, used to proclaim; “The world’s in flames, and you’re worried about what?” ( I used to think that was a metaphor. Little did I know.)
