PREACHERS OF HATE

213 replies on “A READING FROM THE SECOND LETTER TO GLASWEGIANS.”

Interesting that one of the evo street preachers is an ex-republican prisoner, so presumably formerly a Catholic.

As I am sure you witnessed when you ministered in the Maze prison, Pat, a fair few Catholic prisoners turned evo because it eased their conscience, thanks to the evo doctrine that their version of being born again wipes away all guilt and sin doesn’t really matter because Jesus covers it up and the saved go to heaven, no matter what they did or do, simply on the strength of taking Jesus as their personal saviour.

In the sacrament of reconciliation all sin is forgiven where the one wishing to be reconciled genuinely seeks forgiveness. While it is good that people find peace, there’s no need for anyone to move outside the church in order to do so.

Like

12.52
There is every reason under the sun to move away from your church: priesthood and priests.
Christ did not order the confession of sin to romanist priests, but to God himself. And this confession, priest, is expressed in sincere recitation of The Lord’s Prayer.

Like

9.33: Thank God these men are changed by his Word, Jesus Christ. I’ve met some exceptional ex prisoners, people genuinely remorseful of their wrindoing and criminality. Surely if they choose Jesus, isn’t that commendable? And moreso, if these men hear the Word of God from evangelicals. It might prove that some other people’s supposed ministry and preaching is unappealing!! Catholic “shepherds” and bishops could learn from these street preachers.

That old monster Luther – who today would be put on anti-psychotics to deal with his hearing of voices and his psychosomatic illnesses and obsession with caca – told his followers to “sin boldly” or “sin strong”.

Like

9.57

Luther would be on anti-psychotics?😅 Oh, dear! I wonder how many romanist ‘visionaries’, ‘seerers’, and ‘locutionists’ would be joining him? People like Bernadette Soubirous, Joan of Arc, and Jean Vianney.

As for psychsomatic illnesses, that fat Italian friar and fraud, Pio, is a classic example of this kind of mental disorder.

In romanist parlance, ‘seeing’ white mice or pink elephants is not acceptable, but ‘seeing’ the Virgin Mary is. 😕

Like

What you are really saying is that even Roman Catholics don’t believe the church’s bizarre teaching that whispering your sins into some deviant’s ear in a cupboard will somehow result in you getting away with murder.
If you don’t like the caricature of the sacrament of reconciliation in this comment, I suggest you think carefully about the attitude you display towards other in your comment.

Like

9.39: I said nothing of the kind. My comment was a response to what Pat preached at his mass yesterday where he took a swipe at backward bible hall preachers. If any person chooses to join such a group to study the bible and seek to preach that Word and live by It, that’s commendable, even if strident at times. We must respect their right to freedom of expression and right to protest. Pat queried these rights, conveniently forgetting that his blog flouts moral and ethical principles by allowing much hate inciting rhetoric. Some of the commentary on this blog is poisonous, designed to smash people to pieces. Incidentally, I believe in the grace given through the Sacrament of Penance. I recommend it to genuine Catholic Christians. And yes, our pastors and bishops have not always inspired or sufficiently encouraged the reading and study of the Word of God. I merely speak the truth when I observe that some ministers/priests of GOD might learn from the street preachers!! As for your odious caricature – trailer trash, gutter genre!!

Like

@10:13 I was genuinely impressed with the measured nature of your comment until I got to the end and found that you had returned to your usual strategy of calling everyone else trailer trash. An interesting insight into your classist mindset ‘father’, or do you prefer to be called ‘daddy’?

Still no names, Pat.
Correct me, if I am wrong, but: first you said you would publish, then you had not made up your mind, now you say you await legal advice.
Ultimately, if you do not publish the names then you are really covering up for these rent boy / daisy chain men every bit as much as is John Keenan. And so you would be a hypocrite to criticise him.
You say the info has been sent to Rome, the Nuncio, +Keenan and a journalist.
However, +Keenan, the Nuncio and Rome will just bury the info, as so often before. How do you think we ever got to this stage?
The journalist will do nothing. Secular society does not agree with the Church as regards celibacy or homosexuality, and so these things in themselves are not a story.
Publish I say again, or delete the articles. Anything else is just attention seeking.
I am sure I could guess several names in Glasgow and Motherwell Dioceses (I am not familiar with Paisley). Do I have you permission to make my guesses here?
The late +Tartaglia was criticised by commentators in previous articles. He was not a bad man: a nice, gentle and welll liked man in fact. A hopeless Bishop right enough, whose leadership was so meek as to be anonymous. Absolutely hopeless, like they all are these days. No clue as to what he should have been doing. Hopefully his successor will at least have a clue, although I do not hold my breath.
Publish or delete I say!

Totally agree names have to come out.
They are lying and covering up.
Pat seems to enjoy letter writing but the Names or as a minimum the scale of how may in each dioceses, Pat mentions 21 but is that Glasgow as Glaswegians.
Name them now rather than turning into Coronation Street.
Pat’s fear the last tow days Betty Turpin has been dropped so has Pat been told to stop the derogatory names.

Bishop Pat,
You have a real way with words. Your letter is to the point and leaves little unsaid.
Your points to John Keenan don’t leave much room to manoeuvre. I wonder what his inquiry will consist of ? Given he must have been the person dealing with the situation in the first place, what does he not know already ?
What won’t happen, which you mention in your letter, is that he’ll contact you. That won’t happen in a month of Sundays!

John Keenan has admitted to holding an investigation or complaint so the Cathedral Precincts will be busy with the Priests, Curates, Housekeepers all to be interviewed.

John Keenan CANNOT use any for his own Curia as they are all named one way or another in this situation so it will need to be someone impartial and totally independent as Rome will want to see the documentation.

John Keenan has been a fool to open this can of worms as it is not worms but snakes.

For the avoidance of Doubt and I understand your distrust and maybe because you do not know how the Organisation work so I hope Pat prints this.

The days of cover up are well gone and what Pat has refused to say the situation is away to Cardinal Marc Ouellet who is the Prefect for the Congregation of Bishops and also to Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

John Keenan has stated that he is holding an investigation of the complaints so therefore under Canon Law 1717 the African priest, the Curates and the parish concerned has housekeeping staff and maybe the sacristan of the Church so this will be all documented.

I do not think Archbishop Claudia Gugerotti will cover up for John Keenan in any way however his role is to send it all to the Vatican.

Other items regarding clergy who have parented Children and are in active Ministry has been also sent as Archbishop Philip refused to deal with any kind of sexual activity in the Archdioceses of Glasgow.

Philip Tartaglia was one of the nicest people you could met sadly he was not an Administrator like Conti who was only interested in money and very seldom said Holy Mass in the cathedral in fact they cancelled must in the Cathedral regular when him and his six Curia clergy were pen pushing in Clyde Street but Philip has made them all Canons.

So they can attack Philip’s leadership of the Archdioceses but they cannot attack the man Philip had a 2020 version as 20/30 parishes need amalgamated or closed but he was up against it and remember his previous VG has just married and another 3 of his Curia are in the Daisy Chain.

Sadly the Church cannot do or say anything to the undertaker however he has been mentioned on here as a “friend” of John Keenan so join the dots.

As for the daisy chain names they should come out for the avoidance of doubt however Pat will need to wait the reply from Lafferty who has been made a real clown off.

Jesus’ public ministry was short. MC’s shrill one liner about what Jesus did or did not intend misses the central point: many legitimate developments in the history of Christianity may not have been intended by the historical Jesus but occurred as legitimate expressions of authentic ecclesial development.
Jesus didn’t found Christian communities all over the Ancient Near East. Paul spearheaded that process. QED

Our model is Christ and, therefore, his words our instruction. If he did not call for the establishment of intermediary priesthood (and he did not), it was for a very obvious reason, one that you and others are choosing to disregard from highly vested interest: you are priests yourselves.
Hebrews makes crystal clear that intermediary priesthood, not just levitical priesthood, has been obviated by Christ’s death and resurrection; romanist priesthood has always presented itself as intermediary
That priests here are defending their ministerial status quo means that they are in blatant denial of what Jesus’ death and resurrection accomplished, according to Hebrews.Consequently, they are depriving believers of access to God’s grace, because it can come through, and from, only one legitimate source, Jesus himself.
If anyone is wondering why, in the history of Christianity, there has been so much immorality, so much sin and suffering, it is in very large part down to priests, who have starved believers of spiritual nourishment from God by usurping the role of Christ in presenting themselves as mediators, a role that Christ alone can fulfill. These men, priests, even have the gross audacity to boast of this usurption by lionising themselves as ‘other Christs’, when there is, and can be, only one.

Homespun bible study is hamstrung by MS’s inability to situate biblical hermeneutics within a scholarly context.
Before drawing twee conclusions about how to interpret scriptural passages, it would improve your effort if you could introduce some of the main biblical commentators from the last two millennia – so, historical and current. He’ll very soon see the value of an argument from silence. His lack of familiarity with secondary literature betrays his amateur (i.e. homespun) starting point.

In secular life, a person would not be allowed to judge his own case. In parliaments, MPs, MSPs, TDs etc have to declare an interest before speaking on a matter on which they have an interest. People are not allowed to be on a jury in a case if they know the accused, and no judge in any UK or Irish secular court would hear a case in which he was a protagonist. Why the surprise? The RCC is an absolute monarchy and is closest in governance to being a dictatorship. The only difference is it’s just a papal dictatorship. Just like a dictatorship, an absolute monarchy has no checks and balances in its system. Second closest would be an oligarchy, where a small group of elites exert absolute power. No surprise then that the bishops believed they were absolute kings in their own dioceses. The benign dictator Frankie, has been trying to curb that belief by imposing sanctions on them if they don’t obey him, even dismissal from the episcopal state.

I like to compare it to apartheid South Africa, where the Calvinist Dutch Reformed Church thought the land was divinely given to the Afrikaners and apartheid thus divinely mandated, with the Afrikaners the ministers of this mandate. The main difference with Rome would be that Rome obviously has the historical influence of being the state religion or the empire, and is also influenced by mediaeval city states.
Both of these visions are just as totalitarian as the Taliban regime. If it were not the church would stop trying to make abortion illegal.

The ebullient pastor spoke at the homily time without beginning or end… his papal worship impressed the impressionable….the usual trite content…. however without any intellectual rigour or reflection he took a good swipe on the subjects of “ gay marriage, abortion and euthanasia “ ( his articulation).

Strand hill and grey stones are always high caliber and respectful of the listener/ hearer.
Carraig more…. consistently dull.

On mainland Europe at the same time the papal emperor s were doing much worse to their pro test tant detractors. That is the reason the Argentinian and his predecessors can stand on the balcony… or from behind the desk…. and with irenicism lecture others on peace and violence. Sean Mary (yes, that is his real middle name) Ryan, Clonfert diocese. Flunked German in first year so had to repeat. He was in the college choir and may even have been a junior oratory cantor, when Frank Duhig bent the unwritten rule that those who didn’t pass an exam were not given reader straight away and were not given any college positions.
He was librarian of the junior house spiritual library on Long Corridor. Notoriously the students held a quasi-liturgical / borderline blasphemous induction ceremony, all still in choral dress after Sunday Mass, and with much chanting in Long Corridor.
From somewhere (perhaps the theatrical costumes cupboard in the Aula Maxima) Sean M was tricked out in the choral dress of a cardinal, complete with biretta.
The junior dean hit the roof when he found out. I presume the tout was one of the monitors or a brown noser (PP?)
I think he left in I Div. Ended up in London and is now a big wig in the Irish Catholic immigrant community in Paris that is centred on Hugh Connolly’s sinecure in the Irish College.

You can share that with Fr. Jack…. I hated that show for its derision of good men. The tragedy is they all watched it.

Poor JK a Parish with no records so what about Safeguarding and there will likely be no information from the African priest or the Two curate.
Surely the priest with NO records should be suspended immediately so NO wonder JK does not want to go to court and yet the priest will walk back into a parish once his health improves.
The laity can again assist at Masses and around the parish in more varied ways. There is no record of those who served as readers, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, or altar servers. There is also no record of those who helped manage the rotas for these ministries, nor is there a record of those who managed the piety stall in the past.
Shocking you could not make it up at least they are upfront of NO records.

I never liked Rory Coyle….. just very different people. I was never friendly with Eamonn Mc Camley. But if this I am sure; if there is anything to the multitude s who cram church buildings, if there is anything to the Gospels, there is no reason they cannot minister as representatives of Jesus to people again ( if it’s only what has appeared on this blog against them. Sex is a positive in all human lives, it can also be very destructive…. Particularly in the judgement of the mind. The RCC are professional by Lemniscate on that one.

Mr. Mulvihill at 6.06 pm you wrote that “sex is a positive in all human lives, it can also be very destructive”. Would you describe the consensual sexual relationship between Richard Purcell (the current Abbot of Mount Melleray Abbey) and Neil Dargan (a former priest of the Diocese Killaloe and a teacher of classical studies) as a positive or a destructive action or a combination of both? How does it differ from the priests of the Diocese of Paisley using rent boys? Were those engagements (in Paisley) positive or destructive acts?

I looove the way the cathbots describe any priest who has left their cult as Mr. I especially love it when they do it to Sean Page because he is now an Anglican so they think his orders are invalid.
It’s so funny.

The most talented and priest of integrity to be ordained for Armagh in my time is an excellent chess player. Rory is a priest and knew how to play their game, He had that priest fired out of his environs because he was jealous of him; all facilitated by the Wounded Wounder. It’s got the like of that, guys should really be punished. My hope for the talented chess player is he becomes enlightened before too much time elapses.

Regarding the Paisley C/Os

Not sure if Bishop Pat already has this info, but the Paisley Priest at the centre of the allegations is also responsible for one of the C/O’s. He bullied him so much that he actually went C/O and very much looks like they wont be back… phone calls at all hours of the day, demanding picked up and dropped off… demanding errands ran from local off licence/shops and the list goes on.

Like

Paisley
One of the C/O is away now JB, the other one is ill FH, and the third one GOF is suppose to be ill.
When does it take JK so long to start canonical trails against JB and GOF.
Who bullied who as wee John is too shy.
JK has been badly advised over this only one making money will be Austin as John is the laughing stock of the Presbyterate now.

Looks like JK is correct and GOF has an illness and really needs help.

Like

FH isn’t that ill, he’s making good progress in his new chosen career. GOF was bullying FH(and a few others both clergy and laity). GOF is perhaps the most odious man I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with. I’ve no idea why FH didn’t just tell him where to go.

There is a problem : existential on this blog; between those who comment from ideological intent and those who comment from integrity ( however mistaken or perceived). Never the Twain shall meet.

The common ground; the Vatican would never have allowed Cathal Daly’s ego to create Pat Buckley if the foresight of where it would all go was known to them; Bishop Pat Buckley will be around for a long time yet; The Tertullian scholar is a non entity already!!!!!
