LATEST REPORT SAYS PREDATORY HOMOSEXUALITY ON THE INCREASE IN US SEMINARIES.

PAT SAYS:

The HOMOSEXUALISATION OF THE CATHOLIC PRIESTHOOD is speeding its way through the hierarchy, clergy and seminaries in many parts of the globe.

The Catholic Priesthood in this 21 st century is a GAY PROFESSION and many, if not most of these gay priests are sexually active in a way that would make the rabbit population blush.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a gay priest and many gay priests are good priests.

But there is much wrong with a priest, either straight or gay, publicly professing to be celibate, when in truth, he is a sex addict or a sexual predator.

Nor can the priesthood be allowed to become an exclusively gay profession. The priesthood, ideally, shoukd be as diverse as the People of God.

This predatory homosexuality thing is a real cancer in the church.

It has to be challenged and changed.

The church cannot be allowed to become a gay sauna and play house.

MAYNOOTH:

Is it true that ONLY FOUR seminarians have entered Maynooth this year?

4/seminarians for 26 dioceses?

Now, if that’s not a sign the church is in major trouble, what is?

Will this be 4 new victims of predatory homosexuality?

UPDATE RE MAYNOOTH

There were 5 seminarians to enter but 1 refused to be vaccinated. Thus there are 4.

‘The priesthood, ideally, shoukd be as diverse as the People of God.’
I don’t think the church wants the people of God to be diverse, apart from the things like race that you can’t change. Rather conformity and compliance has always been what is required.

Isn’t it time to allow consensual sex to be just sex, a physical expression of human needs. As long as it is consensual and not breaking civil law, then eyes it’s ok.

7:52,
Women’s rights groups want to outlaw prostitution but make abortion legal. What in their minds makes abortion a “body choice” but not consenting reasons?
There is civil law and the Christian way e.g. abortion. Abortion is not the Christian way. Coveting of others is not the Christian way. True committed love is beautiful. Everything else is a form of coveting no matter what way people want to dress it up.

The thesis that the Vatican is staffed by predominantly gay and active clerics is a given – and that the College of Cardinals is predominantly a gay club but what is also true is that most bishops are gay and most diocesan clergy too.
Celibacy is a cloak – a gay man can’t renounce marriage to a woman because he’d never marry a woman.
This hypocrisy is a cancer and it’s killing the church from the inside.

Like

@ 11.55 pm
Correct!
Celibacy is indeed a cloak and has been for a long time. Many were never going to get married to a woman and have children in the first place. What makes me laugh is when a parishioner says something like – Oh they do make such a big sacrifice not being able to get married and have children.
I’m like – Well HELLO that was never going to happen. Some parishioners are so foolish.

There may be some truth in what you say. There’s also at least one falsehood:
many gay men did marry women – such was/is the oppression of gay people in society.

Oh well we will see you at the ordination of Chris then.

Joe Toal is well aware of you and if you are Mark then you, JP and all at Bill Lamb’s parties better start to worry and they should be ashamed at what they have done to Matthew Despard as everyday more of his truth comes to haunt Scotland.

PS Big Brian will be the next Bishop of Motherwell.

Does DLF have any to send? In my day, four first years for a diocese was considered a low intake. In my first year, Raphoe had 9 first years, for example, and they had first years in the other seminaries that were still open.
Four new sems for the whole country is a disaster.

Have seen this video recently and it is very worrying. In light of all we’ve gone through it is incomprehensible how any bishop or seminary personnel continue these activities. It us just appalling and all of these men around whom there is clear evidence should be immediately removed from their positions, even forcibly laicised. I despair. As for Cardinal Dolan, a bumptious, self serving, stage show prelate, he is blatantly misleading and untruthful.

Like

The dreadful appalling conditions now prelavent in seminary’s are because for many years now there is no discipline imposed on seminarians. First and foremost the personnel have to be checked by visitations to see that they are suitable to be formators. The seminarians should not be allowed to come and go as they please. No particular friendships, custody of the eyes and no entry to each others rooms. Until these rules are imposed the present situation will only get worse.

10.09 I think most seminary faculty and most of the people that jog bishops’ arms lost sight of the raison d’etre of Christian religion from which organisational sacraments and the power to confect stemmed only at many removes. A good question is how do neurotic friendships get in the way of an intensively charged status for pastoring strangers and neighbours in a world that is difficult these 3 years. Seminaries should have trained our neighbourhood spiritual teachers and some did, on and off. By real pastoring I don’t mean readmitting divorcees to a smarties queue. Laity should be the pastors to each other, and thankfully this is not a “vocation”.

Predatory sexual behaviour in seminaries, either staff on students, or students on students, is bad. However, I would suggest that far more prevalent is consensual homosexual activity that goes on between staff and students and students with other students. This is obvious with just a cursory glance at the culture of the seminary. Oscott College, for example, just reeks of homosexual culture, it is barely concealed, and it is quite obvious, and quite well known, that students are forming active homosexual relationships with each other throughout their time there. And with others outside the seminary. Now, I do not care if people wish to have active homosexual relations with other men. What I do care about, however, is the hypocrisy of the seminary, diocese and staff, who do not address this situation, given that they require officially celibacy and condemn homosexual genital behaviour. The seminarians themselves also make a commitment to celibacy at a certain point in their formation, and even before that are expected to act in a chaste and celibate way. So, they are all lying, trying to fool each other and us. That is what really irks me. I don’t not like to be thought of as a fool or to be lied to. Now, if the Church put forward another clerical way of life, in which the sexual orientation and relationships of priests and seminarians was wider and broader, including homosexual relationships, then I would not feel that I was being taken for a fool or lied to. But, the Church just seems to revel in the culture of hypocrisy, proclaiming one thing but allowing the exact opposite to happen.

An Oscott staff member was a frequent visitor of Gay saunas whilst in for formation. Therefore no surprise to read of the overt homosexuality there.

As I thought would happen the troll or trolls have returned in force, having had a quiet day because they were called out.
‘In internet slang, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory, insincere, digressive,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog), with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses,[2] or manipulating others’ perception. This is typically for the troll’s amusement, or to achieve a specific result such as disrupting a rival’s online activities or manipulating a political process. Even so, Internet trolling can also be defined as purposefully causing confusion or harm to other users online, for no reason at all.’

I am rather bemused by the comment @10.09. It sounds like something out of the dark ages. Why do some people think that Trent is the only hope of the church? Is not the fire that lit the way forward at that time still burning in the church, in the heart of each baptised person? We have to respond to the particular challenges of the time we live in. God has only given us this time. Archaic disciplines in seminary will not help the priesthood. It must be presented as an option in the real word. A means of providing for the needs of people just as other vocations are such as teachers, doctors, lawyers. (Even though these professions too have cynics.) The sense of mystery surrounding priestly formation might have motivated men in the past but today it serves only to confirm the unfortunate attitudes of 99% of young people regarding its complete irrelevantance

Like

I’m rather bemused myself at your comment @2;44pm.If you had any integrity at all you must see if nothing is changed, it will only get worse. Of course we have to respond to the times we live in dreadful as they are. The response has to be that the present time formation is not working, so there has to a return to discipline and to ensure that seminarians get the proper formation they need. So they are not be left to their own devices as happens now resulting in scandal after scandal.

Like

I absolutely believe that things must change radically. A return to things that worked a couple of hundred years ago however does not constitute a sufficient change. The whole structure of preparing people for ministry must be more integrated with the reality of today’s world and the experience of young people today who feel called. A structure of which creates a intensely tight discipline squeezes out honesty and openness. Authentic witnesses warts and all are the only answer to scandals perpetuated by a keeping up of appearances.

Like

4:33 Formation for diocesan priests is forming men for ministry who will mainly be living on their own and have next to no supervision. A return to the rules of the past will almost certainly make them less able to live their vocation responsibility and with integrity.
Don’t forget that the peak of the abuse crisis came in the seventies and many of these priests were formed in pre-v2 seminaries. This is not to say the current system isn’t broken but it is to say the answer is not to return to the system designed for the counter Reformation and did not prevent rampant corruption in the priesthood and episcopate.

Which staff member?

How many Oscott staff and seminarians visit gay saunas

Why don’t you name them – the rank hypocrisy is devastating both to hear on this blog but I bet you everybody knows which staff members visit gay saunas.

Oscott is virtually a by word for gay shannagins – what did David Oakley do to that place.

Mind you Oscott gave us – Penny, Walsh, Taylor, Quigley and Jollie – and that’s just the ones who got caught.

Richard Walker is the VG now I bet he knows less where the bodies are buried but he will definitely know who’s in and out of the closet.

And what about your sex life? Does it stand up to scrutiny? I ask because experience tells me that those who are most judgemental are usually attempting to deflect the spotlight. Are you the husband of one wife or the wife of one husband? Or single? Or a priest?

Like

God knows the sliding scale and you know something of your circumstances. Some denominations were taking organisational sacraments to a lesser degree of convolution. God doesn’t favour vows. Will you allow Him a look-in? Some of us comment because we are worried about what our friend’s relatives or our friends’ friends were being subjected to in seminaries. As for people who fuss about vows, the question has to be asked, why did you want to tie yourself to an organisation that gets more contradictory with every year about more things than sex? The real God actually didn’t want us to tie ourselves to it even then. Agnostic doesn’t mean inimical, it means you don’t carry baggage when you can’t (or can) see what’s inside it.

Walker had saved up a bit of money in his former career. At Oscott he discerned a monastic vocation and went on to Quarr. Before he left he thought he’d blow his money on a Caribbean jaunt. He took Phil Caldwell with him – at the time an attractive Jason Donovan double. Raised a few eyebrows. Needless to say, the monastic calling didn’t last long.
