BISHOP CASEY AND ANNIE MURPHY’S LOVE NEST FOR SALE FOR € 1.6 MILLION.

CASEY

The house where Eamon Casey drank a mixture of cognac and milk as foreplay to having sex with Annie Murphy is on the market for 1.6 million.

ANNIE

Annie from the USA was depressed after a divorce and Casey persuaded her father that she come to him in Ireland for healing.

Casey certainly gave Annie the rub of the relic 😉

I shared a N. Ireland TV chat show (Kelly Live) with Annie Murphy and had a long chat with her.

I liked her.

She told me that she woukd have never outed Casey had he not denied their son, Peter.

If you hurt a child you hurt the mother more than if you hurt her directly.

Casey stole £ 70,000 of diocesan money to try and pay them off.

He would have been happy to continue to live his double life.

He was a typical cleric – selfish and narcissistic.

In the end he chose the church over the woman he had impregnated and the child he had fathered.

He was another Michael Rasputin Cleary.

And he also sexually abused his niece 😪

POPE FRANCIS APPOINTS BRENDAN LEAHY TO CONGREGATION FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION.

LEAHY

This is certainly prestigious recognition for Leahy.

It might even get him Tuam?

What kind of bishop of Limerick has he been?

I’ve heard very little of his bishopping

Who will get the money Pat?
Do we know how much the lying thief and rapist left in his will?
Surely the evil, twisted tramp wasn’t the owner? €1.6 ,million is a huge amount of money.
As regards Bishop Leahy, met him a couple of times.
Down to earth and friendly I’d say.
Comes across as a normal, decent guy.

Pat, I am a priest of Limerick. Leahy has been a disaster since day 1. He has all the right terminology but his style is autocratic and prescriptive. He has a hearing problem, this is both physical and intellectual. He is a ‘Focolarini’ , they take a vow of smiling, no matter what they are feeling they must smile. Not surprising that Rome has plucked him out….please God they’ll find him suitable for some other diocese.

Casey was really a watershed moment for the RCC in Ireland and the first revelation of clerical corruption by the media. Yes, priests had left under a cloud but the idea of a bishop, successor to the Apostles, shagging around was unheard of. The damage was enormous. ThIs was followed not long after by Bishop Roderick Wright and then a deluge of clerical child abuse cases which shows no sign of lessening up.

Archbishop Farrell does not want a fanfare as he is humble.
Does not put His Engagement or Diary online.
Does not have a Master of Ceremonies as he can hold the Missal himself.

Sadly he has inherited an Archdioceses full of problems soon they will have to move diocesan offices as Diarmuid has sold them.

___________ ANCIENT PSALMS OF MAGHULL ___________
* * May the Lord give heed to our prayer : And attend to the sound of our voices. . . * *
LET us oppress the poor righteous man, let us not spare the widow, nor reverence the ancient grey hairs of the aged…
.
Let our strength come from injustice: for that which is pure is nothing of worth to us!
.
Therefore, let us lie in wait for the righteous; because he is not for our turn, and he is clean contrary to our doings: he upbraideth us with our offending the law, and objecteth to our infamy the transgressings of our education.
.
He professeth to have the knowledge of God: and he calleth himself a child of the Lord… therefore: he is not one of us!
.
He was made to reprove our thoughts and wicked ways : And we are powerless against the justice and power of the of the Good Lord.
.
He is grievous unto us even to behold : For his life is not like ours : His ways are of another fashion… He really believes in the Lord and trusts in the protection of God and his holy angels!
.
We are esteemed of him as counterfeits : He abstaineth from our ways as from filthiness : He pronounceth the end of the just to be blessed, and maketh his boast that God is the defender of the little innocent ones.
.
Let us see if his words be true : And let us prove what shall happen in the end of him.
.
For if the just man be the son of God, he will help him, and deliver him from our wicked, torturous and treacherous hands.
.
Let us examine him with despitefulness and torture, that we may know his meekness, and prove his patience.
.
Let us condemn him with a shameful death : For by his own saying he shall be respected and protected from the corrupt Magistrates.
.
Such things they did imagine, and were deceived : For their own wickedness hath blinded them; they cannot see their own foolishness is abhorrent before the Lord, and the Community…
.
As for the mysteries of God, they knew them not : Neither hoped they for the wages of righteousness, nor discerned a reward for blameless souls…
.
For God created man to be immortal, and made him to be an image of his own eternity.
.
Nevertheless… through envy of the devil came death into the world : And they that do hold of his side do find it.

Leahy was a priest within the Archdiocese of Dublin and is the diocese’s current diocesan censor.

A widely-published author, Leahy has acted as the secretary of the Advisory Committee on Ecumenism of the Irish Bishops’ Conference and is a current member of both the Inter-Church Meeting and of the Three Faiths Forum.

He is a trained barrister and has previously been a member of staff at the Holy Cross Seminary and at the Mater Dei Institute of Education, where he most recently served as registrar. He has also served as previous chaplain in Lusk.

Yes another poster 👆was correct re leahy hearing problem cos we heard it from Limerick deaf club. Autocrat would be a fair description of him. Photo tells you a thousand words re him. You could add another adjective if you like.

I see Amy of Armagh is in the news a lot these days – recently presenting the redress programme for Clogher of which he is administrator these days, and then talking about Universal Credit. Not to mention getting on the wrong side of the Partition centenary business. The former is the most interesting. Something about doing what it takes and exhausting resources in order to give people who have been abused by clergy and Church workers. Nice words. But, I do wonder how it will work out. It will be interesting to hear in a few years from the survivors / abused as to how they have really been treated, and whether they have been given the run around in spite of the fine words. Interesting, isn’t it, that these days we have to double guess what the Church says in public ? The truth is, we don’t implicitly trust them anymore. They only have themselves to blame for that. And, it didn’t start just with Casey. It was going on for decades before. We just gave them the benefit of the doubt. Not anymore.

I have spoken well of George Pell in all aspects of the injustice perpetrated against him. He should never have spent a day in prison for what he was falsely accused.
However Archbishop Pell in Melbourne moved to protect the Catholic Church assets, of his singular volition among the bishops of Australia, he put in place what was known as the Melbourne Response. The venture had one end; to protect Church assets. It is now entirely defunct. Compensation was capped from my memory at 50000 dollars if you participated in the scheme.
Eamonn Martin, once again disingenuous and unwise is pursuing his Dromore venture of a redress scheme for exactly the same ends as George Pell did. It has nothing to do with healing but everything to do with protecting the church from the millions in compensation that may ensue if the individuals have the stomached the time to pursue the Diocese of Dromore the courts .
Blood from a stone.

Like

Yes, exactly, there will be another agenda attached to this seeming altruistic and compassionate initiative, and it will be to protect the assets and what remains of the reputation of the Church. Call me suspicious ? Well, I think he we have long since learned not to take what bishops and clergy say as the truth. There is always another side to what we are told. I’m sure it’s the case here too.

No doubt Casey have many a marriage instruction and no doubt he protested the right and dignity of the unborn child.
The problem isn’t with the unborn child the problem is RC clergy struggle with actual real life children – they either disown them if they father then or sexually abuse them.
He was risible and so os his clerical profession – their hypocrisy makes me dizzy – it’s a screaming hypocrisy that cries out to heaven.
Casey was embraced by Conry and lived out his days in the leafy superbs of Surrey and Arundel and Brighton – no doubt CMOC involved too – what a triumvirate – Casey, Conry and CMOC!!

It was an act of moral hypocrisy by the Episcopal leader. It does however, as always, take two to tango in a consenting relationship.
The ancient Celtic Christian abbots had wives. If hypocrites in clerical state want to live that lifestyle, they should join a Christian domination that embraces that lifestyle.

Thats very extreme. For instance only4 – 10 % of priests abuse children. That means that between 90 and 96 % of prirsts dont.

Bishops, priests and monks breaking their celibacy promises are not committing criminal acts but acts of moral hypocrisy.

That does not require tagging.

From others experience dealing with roman Catholic bishops, its a waste of time to write to them. They usually don’t reply cos they liked to keep it in silence.
If you decide to inform them, that’s means you will give them heads up and a plus advantage for them to know in the first place. That in turn, they plan to use their defence or deflection to wear you down.
Best thing would be is to contact the police if you are comfortable with it. There is another organisation called SNAP in USA as they are very good in giving advice based on their tons of experience. I know a guy who is a rep in USA as he’s been int8by CNN.
Other avenue is exposure by exposing him in another blog not this blog as you wanted.
Please feel free to ask me or others as well.

Congregations and committees, I think in the last 50 years the church has been obsessed with establishing such bodies for everything and anything. What has the Congregation for education achieved? What impact has its existence had on the day to day experience of education for learners or facilitators of learning. These things do tend to be talking shops. I think Bishops should be busy being Bishops. A story told occasionally on Fr Z’s blog about a Bishop coming out of a vatican meeting just as a procession was passing by and he remarked to a colleague “less talking and more processions”.

Maynooth has no credibility since 2016 news broke out in the press. Trustees or guardians of that seminary should examine their consciences if it were true🙄😕🤷‍♂️.

DG 4:03,
True, the seminary has no credibility. Episcopal leaders speak out about wanting to increase vocations in their dioceses but have a national seminary that people have no confidence in.
Circling the wagons after the scandal of 2016 might have served a purpose for limiting the scandal as much as possible but the lack of vocations is a vote of no confidence.
If only there was an Episcopal leader about who could guide the wayward shepherds on the right path. 🤔

DG 9:18,
Fifteen seminaries have committed to meeting five sexual misconduct policy benchmarks developed by a group of laypeople, seminary leaders and bishops.
The benchmarks are:
— Systematic training for seminarians, staff and faculty on policies on sexual harassment and reporting procedures.
— Reporting and investigation to include internal procedures and the ability to report issues to an agency outside of the seminary structure and that is independent of the seminary.
— Victim support as the process moves forward to respect confidentiality and guard against retaliation.
— Proactivity in assessing seminary culture to ensure seminarians, staff and faculty understand the existing misconduct policy and to report issues so they can be addressed.
— Consistency and portability of policies so they apply to the different assignments and ministry venues in which a seminarian is working.
Among the seminaries that have committed to the benchmarks are Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit; Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein, Illinois; St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota; Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis; and the Pontifical North American College in Vatican City.
The seminary of strange goings-on in 2016 would want to adopt similar policies if they truly want to eradicate the rot.

He retired to Galway and is buried there.

He founded Shelter and Trocaie and seemingly a social justice warrior and although reconciled to his son I his later years was nevertheless an absent and derikicy father to his son.

He was a delicious old hypocrite the type the church speacialisrs in.

He said any priest with a four figured bank balance was not living the gospel.

Jeez I know priests with several digit bank balances and Casey was short at helping clergy in a similar predicament as his own.
