PAT SAYS:
I cannot believe the way otherwise intelligent people are not taking the Covid vaccinations and encouraging others not to have them.
I got my vaccinations in February and April and got Covid in July.
Thanks to the vaccinations I got a very mild dose of Covid which was indeed unpleasant but not serious.
The people I’ve come across against the vacvines are mainly religious right-wingers, both Catholic and Protestant ones.
And some of them actually believe that the vaccines are a global conspiracy so that governments can track them – and also weaken their immune system.
And yet they all carry mobile phones – perfect devices for tracking people!
COVID PASSPORTS:
I am in favour of Covid passports.
If people have the right not to be vaccinated then the rest of have the right to not be infected by them.
With every right there is an obligation. The right not to have the vaccine gives you the increased responsability not to infect others
And if you choose not to have the vaccine you nust accept that the rest of have the right not to be in close proximity to you.
THE USE OF TISSUE FROM THE ABORTED:
I am anti-abortion except in the rarest of cases.
But the majority of people in many countries have voted for it and there is little or nothing we can do about it.
The fact that tissue from aborted babies was used in the production if the vaccines is something over which we had no control.
Refusing the vaccine because of the way in which they were manufactured is not necessarily a moral obligation for us.
In one way it’s the lesser of two evils. Not taking the vaccine and getting very sick or dying is not a moral obligation.

The anti vaxxers are so dangerous that they have convinced some people not to partake of any vaccination. It’s not just Catholics who are anti vaxxers. This insidious grouping of conspirators are from all strata of professions – medical, clerical, immunologists, academics, people who have genuine moral objections. I was in a small shop recently getting a sandwich and a guy beside wasn’t wearing a mask. When asked by the server, he said – “I don’t believe in all that s**t”. He was allowed to stay. I objected but he told me to mind my own business!! He should have been asked to leave. I do however believe there is a fuller truth to be told about the origin of covid-19…we may yet get that truth. In the meantime we must care for the well-being of one another.

The difference is the virus has mutated and the current Delta strain is more virulent and transmissible. Research has clearly shown the benefits of taking the vaccine on ameliorating the impact of the virus against those who choose not to be vaccinated and the increased risk of being hospitalised and dying by not doing so. Educate yourself.

I am addicted to Gay porn on the net especially twinks, young men with slim sexy bodes. I wank myself silly looking at them late into the night. I have never given physical expression to my sexual desires with any other person, and at this stage of my life I don’t think I ever will. I do however feel filthy. I feel I have violated in my heart all that I have been called to. When I give holy communion to young men I experience intense sexual desire which torments me. Moreover, it remains for each individual to judge, with the help of appropriate advice, this real need.
It must be clearly stated that we are here in the domain of a prudent judgment, which cannot be uniform for all and in all cases. Moral theology says what is lawful or unlawful. It gives the principles. But it is for personal prudence to judge their application on a case-by-case basis. So discriminating against those who have used prudent judgment and decided not to be vaccinated is a denial of freedom of conscience

Of course they don’t ‘believe’ in evidence based medicine because they don’t understand how to evaluate it. Ironically it is these same people who are vulnerable to thinking they’ve got fictional diseases like leaky gut and chronic lyme disease, and then to pay Megabucks for fake treatments.
In the UK there’s an easy way to tell – as a general rule if you can’t get it on the NHS there is no good evidence it works. In payment driven health systems they tend to be driven by what the customer thinks they want, unfortunately.
My favourite quack remedy is for mucoid plaques. These are build up of mucous and food in the bowel which supposedly don’t come out when you defecate. The tyres are punctured and there is little to fill the vacuum left by the pandemic effects, not just spiritually but in a myriad of ways. We have as yet to assimilate the psychological effects caused by the pandemic. There is a lot of “rebuilding” to occur and the Church is being profoundly challenged. After a year and a half living with restrictions and in trying to recreate a new approach to ministry, it is more difficult now than ever before: relationships have changed: expectations in parishes have changed: priestly interacting has changed: our presence and work as priests is troubled and troubling. Fair comment that if Covid 19 was detected it was being put on death certificates and it was even used for the number of people in hospital with the virus.
At the same time however, you must look at the pressure hospitals came under in many countries when the virus got out of control.
Noone in government wanted to be shutting the country down as much as they had to at the end of December 2020. The Tánaiste was running the CMO over a bus for no good reason, and even reversing it back for good measure. Governments wanted to be free of covid restrictions but with hospitals overwhelmed, they had no choice but to act.

That aul heretic above in Abbeyleix has been opining on Maynooth’s low enrollment and naturally he has come out with the hackneyed “solutions” of married clergy and priestesses. All the athiests, pro-abortionists and lapsed Catholics and CINOs who follow him are in full agreement, even though none of them go to Mass from one year to the next.

6:55,
The padre has blessed pets, cows, crops, rings, cars and tractors over the last few decades. A same sex couple who request a simple blessing on their union must be turned away. Is that Christianity?

“Inquiry into ‘systemic failures’ after Sarah Everard murder.”

“Recent tragic events have exposed unimaginable failures in Policing. It is abhorrent that a serving police officer was able to abuse his position of power, authority, and trust to commit such a horrific crime.” Well this is all very telling, isn’t it. How very sad!

The article you linked says he clearly set out to make people afraid TBH I can’t think any reason other than the power trip anyone would join the police. That’s why it attracts psychopaths, like the priesthood.

I see from the statistics in the Blackpool parish newsletter that Mass attendance is down since Fr Etienne left. His haters always suggested it would be the opposite.

That’ll bring forward the dread day when the Blackpool churches are turned into mosques and carpet showrooms.

I know that it is not what today’s blog is about, but how can anyone, anywhere trust the Roman church after today’s revelations regarding abuses in France and the mother and baby homes by Roman clergy. This is not of Christ. The scale of these abuses make it impossible for the leadership of this institution not to have known. Utterly shameful

Of course that is self evident to anyone outside, but we must be patient with them. It takes a long time to overcome the conditioning you get in a cult. They are so conditioned to think that they are holy and people outside evil, it must be really difficult. But there is hope, because the lies they are told can’t withstand the reality in the age of the internet. Their numbers plummet every year.

My favorite bible passage is the one where Jesus says, ‘By this will all men know you are my disciples, if you focus obsessively on one thing I never mentioned to the exclusion of everything I did’.
This is the gospel of the Lord.

Interesting that you provided an EWTN clip, Pat. The Pachamama worshipper hates EWTN and has been moaning about it, but His Humbleness backfired yet again. The channel has had bumper viewing figures since he came out with his latest papal bull.

The Statists who seek to demonise free and independent thinkers and doers are not part of the solution and therefore are part of the problem.
