I hope you are well. I have been trying to do some investigative work on the Christening of Conor McGregors baby Rian in the Sistine Chapel last week.
I am presuming given his Dublin roots, it may have been arranged by an Irish ordinary or Irish priest.
A man who has disgraced Irish sport by numerous thuggery misbehaviour is given the reward of a Sistine Chapel Baptism.
I am also working under the bias that he is not a regular mass goer and uses his public persona in which to rank higher than anybody else.
What Irish priest or Bishop would allow somebody who sees himself the greatest among the greatest be given the privileged position of standing at the baptismal font of the Sistine Chapel.
The Baptism featured in numerous tabloid rags with photos taken within the Chapel despite there being strict no photo protocol in place to preserve the uniqueness of the architecture.
Of course, McGregor couldn’t even leave his boxing gloves at home as he apparently became embralled in an “alleged” violent altercation with a DJ in Rome.
A pure thug…
Please don’t disclose my name. But I would be interested to see what info is out there.

People have been saying that McGregor’s baby was baptised in the Sistine Chapel.
But one of my Roman clerical Vatican contacts sent me the following:
“The child was NOT baptised in the Sistine Chapel. That is a unique privilege granted by the Holy Father usually to the children of the staff of the Holy See and the children of diplomats and their staff that are accredited to the Holy See.
However, the child was baptised in St. Peter’s Basilica”.
So much for all the staged pictures in the Sistine Chapel !!!
THE VIOLENT AFTER PARTY:
At the after party the failing boxer punched tge famous Itakian DJ Facchinetti.
I have no idea who arranged the Vatican baptisms for McGregor.
We may be able to find out.
The fact that the whole thing ended in violence is both predictable and regrettable.
But in the RCC its money and fame that counts.
The Vatican has always open to being bought.
As a priest friend of mine says:

A *long* period of discernment? He was only ordained in 2018 so presumably the 7+ years he spent in discernment before ordination were wrong.
I honestly wouldn’t mind if they just said its what they want to do – it’s the lie that God wants it that rankles.

What a load of self-serving sanctimonious bullshit ! The boy needs to cop himself on. What’s the attraction ? So that he can dress up, preen himself and prance around and be noticed ?! Dear me, what self-delusiion. I don’t think that the Holy Spirit has the slightest anything to do with this decision, it is rather this self-absorbed nitwit pandering to his own needs. Let’s see how long he lasts with the FSSP. He will find that his extra-curricular and other interests will be severely curtailed with that lot (and I’m positive that there are some !), and he will soon get fed up of all the dressing up which will not fulfil all is needs. Then he will come back with his tail between his legs, although I’m sure he’ll spin it as another prompt from the Holy Spirit. Why do clergy have a need to advertise themselves as being led b the Holy Spirit, when both they and we know it to be nothing more than pandering to self. What bullshit !

But take it from the little wisdom I have… you are but changing the temperature… climatic temperature that is…. Ask yourself what you have already learned…. trust your judgement and put on a parachute. I presume you are an honorable person. McGregor wasn’t even married to the child’s mother, which makes it seem even more bizarre. Also, how did they get the Sistine chapel cleared for the photoshoot? It’s generally teeming with tourists. Clearly, a bishop or very well connected priest organised this. Mind you, if Boris can get married at the high altar of Westminster cathedral, anything is possible these days.

I’m no fan of CMcG long ago since he broke bus windows in NYC. I knew a rich guy whose brother is deaf, followed him all the way to Las Vegas from dubai and supported him etc. He was taken aback when I told him that I don’t follow him not bec he’s irish.
I was surprised to see him attending the Vatican service ie baptism. He must have paid lot monies to a Vatican official with some under the table perhaps. Its too common nowadays that people don’t get married with a baby in a tow. Heard one who decided not to baptise a child in rcc church re recent abuses news broke out. It’s getting more traction or common sadly as hierarchy especially the bishops who don’t want to know it.

Yar gas DG, what I meant was he will follow the rubrics exactly so any deaf person who has a missal will have no trouble following The Mass. I know this because that’s what deaf friends have told me. Gerard was always a nice enough guy. He used to get a good bit of notice around campus in Maynooth with his collar as a Deacon. I had the impression that his diocese and the Archbishop had been good to him, supporting his vocation when maybe Maynooth had other thoughts, in that case it would be a shame to leave safe moorings. It’s his choice anyhow and I hope it works out for him. 🙏

The “look at me” photos in the Sistine and St Peter’s look like something you’d see in Hello magazine and seem little to do with the baptism. The basilica staff will be tortured now with people wanting to have weddings and baptisms there, in a keeping up with the Jonses move.

Not baptising your child is like not brushing your teeth in the morning, you just don’t do it, it’s ingrained into people brains, even to the ones that hate the church…don’t know how that affects primary schools and the kids not being baptised or partaking in confirmation or communion, leaves the child left out….
People need to start breaking away from it, more people are getting married abroad now…
