HAS MARK KIRBY LEFT SILVERSTREAM?

The caption below says;

As Kirby is NOT in the photograph are they telling us that Kirby is not in Silverstream?

Or is it simply slight of hand?

And is Kirby simply lying low inside the monastery?

Kirby should not be in the monastery. If he remains there it totally undermines the future of the monastery.

EAMON MARTIN ON ABUSE AT ST. COLUMBS.

THE leader of the Catholic Church in Ireland has said claims made directly to him about alleged child abuser Raymond Gallagher were later passed on to the PSNI.

Archbishop Eamon Martin, who is also a former pupil at the prestigious college, served as its president between 2000 – 2008.

Eamon Martin needs to answer three questions on this matter:

1. When did he first become aware of Raymond Gallagher’s abuse?

2. Was he aware of it as a student.

3. After first hearing about the abuse, how long did it take him to pass the information to the PSNI – hours, days, weeks, months or years?

It took his predecessor Brady 30 years to own up.

It’s a good step that Kirby has left Silverstream (if indeed that is what has happened). But it’s not enough. Fr Andersen was treated like garbage. God will not bless that community unless they (Deenihan included) make reparations for how they destroyed a victim to save an abuser.

Marin yes I’ve spoken to Dom Benedict and yes I’ve offered to send money. Dom Benedict has refused money from me because he is afraid It will impact his case and he will never get closure.

I’ve asked Dom Elijah if I can send him money and he won’t respond.

Had I known about the other mens testimonies 2 years ago none of this would have happened. I was played. I absolutely commit to ensure Dom Benedict gets justice. As for my comments on twitter, well when the pillar article came out I felt it missed those facts. When I met Pat and finally was able to piece it all together it killed me how Dom Benedict had been treated, he is a victim, it wasn’t normal and he should have closure. The Church will have to look at all this, because Silverstream or the visitation team could have resolved this. But with men like Richard Purcel on the team, who later had his own visitation. What could we expect other than a coverup, and this is a coverup.

This is not over and I won’t stop until Dom Benedict has closure and the help he needs.

It’s perfectly simple. None of the requirements for priesthood or religious orders is actually required. Not celibacy, faith, personal integrity or anything. What is actually required is plausible deniability and an understanding of this is the main thing vocation directors really look for. Once you understand this everything falls into place.

If there’s been no communication, could it be that he wants nothing to do with anyone on this blog. Up till now the public statement has been that Dom Kirby has been cleared of any wrong doing and has not been prosecuted but has not been reinstated as prior.
But…
If Dom Kirby has been diagnosed with an illness which would affect his physical or mental capacity to be prior that could explain why he hasn’t been reinstated.

And this just hasn’t been made public (which is fine) but has forced an outcome which looks contradictory. Ironically if a statement had been made to say that he had been cleared by the visitation and not prosecuted but was not being reinstated for health or personal reasons this would have looked much more suspicious but only because of the sheer number of abbots who have resigned recently for these reasons.

I think it is clear that we have seen “peak” Kirby. He is toast. There is just too much on him for him to take back the reins or to assume leadership roles anywhere else. The best he can expect is to do is to lurk in the background somewhere, trying to be as incognito as possible. The trouble is that if he has contact with his preferred group of young monks, priests, people, then he will still be able to do what he has done in the past. So, + Pat, I think you should keep on his case, let people know where he is, and give warning of his propensities and predilections. A bit like the list for sexual offenders. A list of dodgy clergy / monks. Keep it up !
