Retired San Diego bishop Robert Brom died yesterday. He was accused of homosexual predation as well as covering up clerical sex abuse.

San Diego’s current bishop, Robert McElroy, praised Brom in a press release, calling him “a pastor, teacher and servant leader.”
But Brom is also remembered as a bishop who covered up for clerical sex abuse. Even worse, he is accused of being a “sexual predator,” even a “rapist.”

Brom was an abuser of a semibarian himself.
He also covered up sexual abuse in the two dioceses he.led as bishop.
He never suffered any real consequences.
He lived a luxurious retirement.
At his death other bishops, ignoring his abuse and cover up praised him as a great pastor and leader!
This is RCC behaviour everywhere in the world.

Ignored, not believed, messed about without an apology.
Abuser bishops and priests protected, moved about internationally and cared for, for life.
John Paul II who covered up for mega abuser Marciel, was canonised when he died.
