DOES GER FITZGERALLD THINK HE IS ABOVE STATE AND CHURCH LAW?

In messages Ger sent Carole he suggests that he is above state and church law and gets very aggressive if he is challenged.

During Lockdown he thought he could do as he wished and even the Garda had no right to challenge him.

GER OBJECTS TO GARDA CHALLENGING HIM
GER EXPECTS SPECIAL TREATMENT FROM GARDA
GER ACCUSING THE GARDA OF NOT TELLING HIM THE TRUTH

GER DOES CAROLE’S CHILDREN’S BAPTISM IN A NON CANONICAL WAY.

Ger arranged to baptish Carole’s children in their home.

But he was not the priest in Carole’s parish who had the right to baptise the children!

CHILDREN HAD ALREADY BEEN BAPTISED IN THE CHURCH OF IRELAND!

Carole’s children had already been baptised in the Church of Ireland.

The RCC fully accepts the validity of Church of Ireland baptisms.

Ger SHOULD NOT have recaptured the children.

Carole also claims that the information placed in the parish baptismal register is inaccurate.

That’s what Ger means in the screen shot above about telling “white lies”.

PAT SAYS

Ger obviously thinks that priests are above the law.

He also seems to think that inaccurate documentation is only “white lies”.

Many bishops and priests have thought they were above the law.

Some, like Ger still do.

That must END.

VISIT TO TULLAMORE CHURCH WHERE I WAS BAPTISED

ON TO CARLOW

Mrs Carpenter

We had lunch yesterday in Carpenters pub in Carlow in the company of Mrs Sis Carpenter – lady of the house and friend of my priest companion.

I lived in Carlow as a child and Mrs C and I shared some old memories.

A lot of priests think the law of the land does not apply to them. When I was a student at the Irish College in Rome I remember Des Connell preaching on the gospel where Jesus speaks with “authority” in the synagogue. Connell told us that there is only one authority in this world and that is the authority of Christ and his Church. He told us we did not have to respect laws made by the State nif they went against the teaching of the Church. No wonder priests think like this with the likes of Connell as bishops.

Ger Fitz acting like a bit of a hard man with the cops. Funny enough he moved the goalposts; the Gardai would have no interest in the trespass bit, the issue was covid movement. Unless he was physically at the Massy house i don’t see who would be complaining him. That whole area is used by walkers all the time. What actually happened is Ger got his arse handed to him over Covid and he was trying to sound hard to Carole. Load of shite.

Seems he also doesn’t know the rules of his own church – why would he even bother with such falsification? Image. He wanted to look good and ingratiate himself with Carole and instead looks lame. Am surprised at Carole as well -knowing her, ahem, Israeli leanings I don’t know why she would want such a document. Then again taking stuff that isn’t legal or belongs to them is par for the course for Israel, a country which has no historical basis and shouldn’t even exist. It was a backward Roman province and rightfully belongs to the Palestinians. That said I wouldnt hold it against Carole, she has been wronged by GFs antics and he needs to apologize.

The fact that he was deemed fit for ordination in the first place confirms the true state of the RCC cesspit and its den of thieves. @8:48 The COI baptism was done out of respect for my late father in law. I was baptised & confirmed in the RCC. In light of the fact that my children are attending a Catholic ethos NS, I felt that it was appropriate that they be baptised into the same faith as me. I still shudder at the thought that GF baptised my children & then had the audacity (in April of this year) to ring up his cousin, Joseph Ryan, who in turn rang Pat in order to slander me and threaten that Tulsa were going to take away my children. Fifth Business, your comment is an interesting one, referring to what may well be a very common practice these days. Perhaps you’d be kind enough to further comment on these observations.
The poor quality of RC clerical pastoral care, aloof clericalism, and particularly the publicised organisational and sexual abuse of RC clerics appears to have brought about an increase of ‘cultural catholicism’ whereby increasing numbers now disassociate themselves from practical involvement with the church of their cultural or tribal origins. They may still ‘use’ RC facilities for passage rites ceremonies like weddings or funerals. But generally speaking, they are increasingly bypassing the RCC to follow ethical principles as espoused in the New Testament and other faith beliefs.

Ger’s efforts were in the realms of predatory. Teacher, lawyer, doctor, priest, garda, nurse, social worker etc all these jobs involve working with the vulnerable. It is expressly forbidden to hit on clients/victims/customers in all of these jobs and is a sacking offence.

To put it in context if a randomer started sending Yvonne texts pressing for a date she’d rightly be concerned and it is an offence. GF got through this barrier by being a priest. He’s miles offside. Both Carole and Yvonne were then lynched by GF ”supporters”. Even right here on this blog Carole has been name called and been described as ”the talk of the village”. Turning elderly couples out for a short drive, turning them back because they were .05 of a Km over their allowance…..irrational. The exegesis of the texts cited today is questionable. These appointments are bold and very clear in their statement of how Francis wants the Church to be and how he wants it led. I hope that Francis, for all his faults, remains around for some time yet and is able to appoint men to these positions so that his legacy will be a Church that is open, embracing, welcoming, and truly Christian, rather than a Church that wants to exclude people and hold them at bay because they are not perfect. Perhaps then we will begin to get some movement in the Church in the areas of priestly reformation, inclusion in ministry of women, including ordination, and an acceptance that diverse and different people are not sinful and wicked but created by and loved by God. Then I might think of going to church again more often and giving them some of my hard earned money !

Babtism in the C of I is valid, the same as any other church. Why did Karel need to have her children baptised as catholics?

The conversation today is like when religious people claim against atheism that you can’t be good without God. Normally this merely proves that they themselves are not to be trusted and have no moral sense whatsoever. Today they’re out proving that even with God they can’t be good.
Bet y’all couldn’t colour within the lines as kids.

The instant I saw it was a Ger Fitzgerald day I got out the popcorn and have not been disappointed by the cathbots’ comments.
He can’t be expected to know about baptism.
Nobody pays any attention to laws any way.
The poor woman is ill.
The only wonder is they think we haven’t heard all this bullshit before. 🤣
Now I have to get more popcorn because that’s the bag I was saving for the Trolley Dolly’s ordination post. 🍿

The problem with small, medium or large sized Towns in Ireland, is the cover up cabals who wine, dine and mind each other, including, so called pillars of the communities. The church has a serious credibility problem-practice what Jesus Christ taught or take a hike.

Just a simple question, can anyone of any other religion such as Catholics or COI be baptised again in different religious ceremony such as COI or Catholic or Mormon or jevohah witness (Common among deaf in UK) even though they were already baptised in the first place.

Can they be reconfirmed again in a different religious ceremony-after their 1st original confirmation🤔🤷‍♀️ .

Cos I know one ex classmate of mine, who wasnt able to attend our confirmation ceremony back then, cos he was already confirmed as a baby (he told me that he was v sick baby).

This entirely depends on whether the churches recognize each other’s baptism.
For example some churches only practice believers baptism so would not recognize a baptism as a child and you would have to be baptised. They would look on this as your first baptism.
Otherwise mainstream churches which practice infant baptism usually recognize each other’s baptisms.
RCs don’t recognize other churches’ confirmation so do it again. Again it’s entirely on whether the churches recognize each other’s sacraments. The other thing would be that a lot of Protestant churches don’t have confirmation like sacramental churches do, and in fact only celebrate two sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s supper.
So it’s not easy to give a simple answer apart from saying it depends on your previous church and whether the church you’re going to
a) understands sacraments/initiation in the same way
and
b) recognizes your original church’s sacraments if they understand them the same way.
Groups like Seventh Day Adventists, JWs and especially Mormons are very tricky because many churches don’t see them as Christians. JWs and Mormons particularly are very likely to not be recognized by mainstream Christian churches.

Dear Pat, I know you always encourage fairness and give everyone a right to share their thoughts. I am a 47 year old widow who lost her husband through suicide. I have four children. I have to say- and in the interests of fairness it needs to be said- that pastorally, Fr Her was absolutely wonderful to me at this difficult time in my life. He helped me and my family and I will always be grateful to him for his kindness and support. Some people here have problems with him if your blog is anything to go by- but there’s another side of the story- people like me who are indebted to him for his help and kindness. Praying for everyone xx

When you’re used to the reverse cathbot values obviously you bizarrely see it as rubbing salt in the wound?.
Utterly weird.
And yes, it sounds like she’s had a lucky escape – sexual predators routinely target people in crisis. That’s why he shouldn’t be a priest.

Pat, what will happen when virtually every priest is actively gay? Should those who disagree not attend Mass anymore? Or does God change his view on right and wrong as society changes? Is our view in 2022 regression masked as enlightenment?

4.24: Patricia, my sympathy to you in your personal tragedy,is s and immense grief. As a priest, these realities are profoundly impacting on those who grieve. I have officiated at far too many fuberals of people who took rheir lives. I’ve had close friends and a family member do lujewise. I can only imagine the grief you are experiencing. Your experience of Fr. Ger can be told many times by people in need, grief and suffering. He is essentially a decent human veing but made very imprudent and irresponsible decisions as have been talked about on this blog. There is more to each of us than our moral and spiritual sinfulness and failures. Fr. Ger is defined in his life by his failures, sadly. The commenters on this blog along with Pat will never want to forgive a priest for any indiscretion or failing. I know that other people share your observations and are very grateful that he helped them get through difficult moments. We must take our lead from Jesus Christ, who, while condemning sin, abuse and wrongdoing, did not shut thecfoor in the face of the sinner. Mercy is a virtue and quality that should be integral to any Christian’s life. I will pray for you and I hooe you will find healing at some time and may God bless you and your family. The grief that comes as a result of suicide is the most painful. If commenter at 6.09 is referring to your comment, utter shame and disgrace. No one’s grief should ever be minimised and God often uses very broken people to reach the heart of others. Thanks for your sharing and thanks to Fr. Ger.

1. Ger Fitzgerald has many of issues and should never have been ordained a priest. Being logical, it will take time for his paperwork to be completed but rest assured he won’t be popping into say mass in your parish anytime soon.
2. He will never say he’s sorry as he’s the kind that thinks he can do no wrong. He displays very childish behaviour.
3. The money thing…. We’ll probably never find out about the dosh resting in his account.
4. Few clergy back him in Killaloe and those who do, do it out of pity.
5. The Baptisms, showing his bit of power to Carole again silly and childish behaviour.
6. Laws don’t apply to some clergy i.e Ennis parish broke all the rules during the covid lockdowns, anyone who looked into their masses on webcam knows that.
7. Don’t waste your energy seeking revenge, he’s not work it. Fintan doesn’t care, emails will be junked and deleted.

Well said.
Bishop Fintan just wants Ger and Jerry out but as you say it is the paperwork that takes so long but it is happening.
I think you will find the clergy that were backing Ger is slowing down even with a sympathy backing they now see what it is doing to the Diocese of Killaloe and they are all getting tarred with the same brush it is not fair.
100% Ger will not say Sorry it is not one of his words however please be assured Carole and Yvonne have been spoken to and apologised by Bishop Fintan.
Ger thinks Bishop Pat Buckley and friends conducted this mess by emailing Bishop Fintan and placing pressure on the Diocesan offices so Ger and Jerry still think they have done nothing wrong.
They are in hope for September but who knows Pope Francis is not too well so that could slow everything down Pope Francis mind is alert so that is good and hopefully ger and Jerry will be the top of his in box soon.

What the McElroy Appointment Says About the Church’s Commitment to Sex Abuse Victims
JANET E. SMITH
“It wasn’t long into my study of the sex abuse crisis in the Church that I realized that many or even most bishops customarily respond to a report about abuse 1) by feeling sorry for themselves that they have another mess on their hands; 2) by feeling sorry for the priest whose priesthood may be ruined; and 3) by trying to figure out how to get the victim to remain silent and go away. There is rarely, if ever, any true concern shown for the victim; sometimes counseling is offered but more often as a way to appease than to help the victim.”

9:19 yes, we read that Fintan Monahan offered Carole a retreat at his buddy’s gaff in Glenstal. Probably wiser to give it a miss. Wasn’t that the same place that wouldn’t accept Bishop Pats booking? Actions speak louder than words.

Ger is a slimeball but I think Carole being dumped by Ger left her unable to cope with the rejection so she’s telling all the stories, using bible quotes to justify her anger and revenge. The blog is giving her the satisfaction and attention she craves and boosts her insecure ego.
