SENIOR US PRIEST GIVEN PARISH AFTER 10 MONTHS IN HIDING.

Monsignor GRIDNR’ Gets New Parish.

June 12, 2022 from Complicit Clergy by Staff

Last July, Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill, General Secretary of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the highest-ranking non-bishop Church official in the country, was forced to resign his position because he was routinely using apps like GRINDR that connect men who want to have sex with other men. Burrill, now often times referred to as ‘Monsignor GRIDR,’ is incarnated in the diocese of La Crosse under the authority of Bishop William Callahan.

Yesterday Bishop Callahan announced he has assigned Monsignor Burrill to be administrator of St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish in West Salem.

In his letter, Bishop Callahan states:

Let me state unequivocally that the Diocese of La Crosse has received no allegations of illegal misconduct of any kind by Monsignor Burrill and that I have every confidence in returning Monsignor Burrill to active ministry and in his ability to accompany the people of God of this great parish as together you journey toward a deeper, more meaningful relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ.

Got that? Callahan tries to reassure parishioners that there’s no need to worry that Monsignor Burrill was routinely cruising on homosexual hook-up apps because he apparently did nothing illegal!

PAT SAYS

SEXUALLY ACTIVE GAY CLERGY CONTINUE TAKE OVER OF THE RCC.

This appointment for the disgraced highest profile gay sexually active priest in the USA is further proof that the RCC priesthood is being totally taken over the the priestly Gay Mafia.

Burrill has been using Grindr for years and having no strings attached sex all over the USA.

And he was fling this while teaching in a seminary and the most senior, non bishop cleric in the USA.

Had he not been caught he would have been adequate a bishop.

In fact, he may still be appointed a bishop by the higher up gay mafia in the global RCC hay mafia.

The RCC hierarchy and priesthood is now a sexually active gay profession.

And it’s not good that the priesthood should be the equivalent of a gay club or sauna.

And all this is happening while AMY MARTIN is planning to ordain TROLLY DOLLY WILSON in Armagh Cathedral in 12 days time.

RECTOR OF GERMAN SEMINARY TAKES HIS OWN LIFE

Limburg, Germany, Jun 13, 2022 / 11:30 am

The rector of a German Catholic seminary was found dead last week in an apparent suicide.

Father Christof May had been removed the day before from all his offices by Bishop Georg Bätzing of Limburg.

CHRISTOF MAY

Bätzing, the current chairman of the German bishops’ conference, reportedly took the step due to allegations of abusive behavior.

May’s death was first communicated internally within the Diocese of Limburg on June 9. CNA Deutsch, the Catholic News Agency’s German-language news partner, obtained a copy of the email.

It said: “We are devastated and full of grief. Christof May was questioned yesterday in a personal conversation about allegations of abusive behavior. Subsequently, Bishop Georg Bätzing had removed him from all offices in order to be able to review and investigate the allegations.”

“The death of Christof May affects us all. We have lost a committed and much-appreciated pastor.”

On June 10, the Limburg diocese publicly confirmed the death, but did not provide more details.

The German newspaper Frankfurter Neue Presse reported that the 49-year-old rector left a suicide note, which led to a search effort involving police, firefighters, and members of the German Red Cross. His body was found in a forest on the morning of June 9 after a police helicopter spotted his car nearby.

A senior prosecutor confirmed to the paper that there were “no indications of external causes or a criminal act that led to the death.”

Bishop Bätzing was recently criticized for promoting a priest who was accused of sexual misconduct by two women. Bätzing learned about the issue after he was made bishop of the Diocese of Limburg in 2016 and met with both victims.

Bätzing made it unmistakably clear that he disapproved of the priest’s behavior,” the diocese said. “He issued a monitio, an admonition in written form.” It added that the priest “asked for forgiveness, and showed credible remorse.”

Bätzing made the priest a district dean in 2020, which eventually led to the two victims going public with their accusations. In response, the priest decided to step down from his position as district dean.

VISIT TO CARLOW CEMETERY

Yesterday I visited The Angel’s Plot in Carlow cemetery to remember my 5 little sisters who died at birth and were buried in the plot.

121 replies on “SENIOR US PRIEST GIVEN PARISH AFTER 10 MONTHS IN HIDING.”

Pat, your visit to the angels plot in the cemetery is very poignant, sad and moving. As we get older, the sense of personal losses of loved ones becomes a greater grief. It makes us ask deep questions about life and death. Even with faith and trust in God, questions arise. God bless and embrace your loved ones. As for the suicide of the German priest: a very tragic death. We’ve had priests in our country do likewise. We never know how any person will react to an allegation of abuse. If any person was abused, I hope they can speak their truth. As for the appointment of the American priest – I need to study all details more thoroughly. His appointment will undoubtedly raise many questions.

More proof that the RCC is a business like any other, no more, no less, the commodity to pull in money is God. No legal wrong doing has been proven so Burrill is back – what about all the Church teachings he has violated? Obviously when it comes down to brass tacks, they don’t practice what they preach. Will Burrill set a precedence for the likes of Carey & Fitzgerald one wonders? 🧐. We haven’t heard the last of this, not by a long shot.

As Pat says Ger is still a priest so there is more chance of Ger saying Holy Mass at the Oratory Larne than in any RCC anytime soon
This Monsignor has been caught on social media no crimes have been committed however the Bishop cannot be 100% sure of him when he has only appointed him as an administrator and not as a Parish Priest.

As regards the Jeffrey Burrill story, I have not the slightest problem with Burrill being gay, or with him engaging in homosexual genital activity – as long as that is done outside of his ministry as a Catholic priest. That has not been the case in the past, and he was suspended. It does beg the question, however, about his sexuality, which is something that will not change and is part of him for life. Therefore, we now have to rely on his assurance and that of his bishop that his behaviour will conform to the expectations of the RCC for its clergy. From my experience, what will win out here is Burrill’s underlying sexual inclination and drive, and his desire to remain celibate will not prevail. I think we all know this, and in the interests of being honest and desiring what is good for a person, it would make sense to recognise this and encourage him to accept his sexuality and to go and live his life as a gay man. Which means he will not be able to continue as a priest. At least in the current understanding of the RCC about sex, clergy and celibacy. I do wish people would be realistically honest about these things, and stop making up all sorts of false stories and conversions and expectations that we know are going to fail and in the end be painful for everybody, not least Burrill himself. He will struggle, he will fail, he will be outed again, he will feel like shit for the rest of his life, because he is denying something fundamental to himself which he would be far happier recognising and embracing. There’s a hole pile of self-sacrificing, sacrificial nonsense that is talked about people like Burrill who go off and do the course and come back holier than thou. People are told that they are changed and have undergone conversion and rediscovered their true vocation. Bollocks ! They have learned some new language, they have learned some new techniques, they have learned how to behave in public. But deep down they cannot have changed, no matter how strong their desire to do so. They are still gay, they will still act out in all sorts of ways, and they will eventually fall again. It would be so much more honest and kind to accept this, celebrate them as they are, and invite them to go and live a happy and adjusted life elsewhere, given that the RCC doesn’t think or believe that they can be good priests. Unless they lie and deny themselves.

Like

@ 1115, yes I will tell you about myself. I had the good sense to come to realisation within the first two years in seminary that I was gay, I was not able to commit to celibacy, and that I did not want to be celibate. And, therefore, I left. Seems like a pretty mature and honest decision to make for a 21 year old. Since that time I have gone on to live a pretty successful life, personally, in relationship, and professionally and financially. The reason ? Because I was honest with myself and with others. I reckon that if I had sublimated everything, as I was encouraged to do by the seminary and formation priests, then I would have been constantly at odds with myself and with priesthood, and it would not have been a success or very happy for anybody. So, there’s the story. Even at this late stage Burrill needs to do what the 21 year old me did all those years ago. You know it makes sense !

What troubles me is the culture that exists in seminaries today. We know that a good proportion of men who present themselves for priestly training will be gay. That orientation is an integral part of them and will not disappear. It is part of who they are. Bringing them in to a culture that publicly says that expression of their sexual being is contrary to the requirement of celibacy, and even further in the case of homosexuals is intrinsically disordered in being as well as any sexual action that comes from that being, well, that is a recipe for disaster. What is worse, I believe that they are encouraged not to address this dichotomy, but just to go with the flow, perhaps even to give some expression to their sexuality, but to do so under camouflage and lies. I honestly do believe that many seminary staff think that is okay, as long as the public front is kept up. We know that this leads to dysfunction and unhappiness, as well as inclines people to behaviour that is destructive and toxic to them and others. So, as well as the individual making a decision to be honest to themselves, also the seminary and its staff should be honest to themselves and to the individuals that they are supposed to be forming. Inviting young men in to a culture that they simply cannot sustain is unfair to them and to everybody else, and leads to such unhappiness and dysfunction for all.

When we do the will of God we have a sense we are doing his will. There will be a gladness contentment in our hearts which will show itself in our relationship with our fellow people as we empathise in their good and bad days.
The RCC will have to face this sexuality problem that they have. Suppressed celibacy is not the will of God as you can see the problems it causes..i have seen smugness in church organisers where they say that they are nearer to God because they pray more than the ordinary folk. How do they know how ordinary folk pray.? People with many lifes challengrs offer up their sufferings to God which is a powerful prayer. Too much smugness and power that the power of Gods love gets lost somewhere. God wants us to be loving in heart as we do his will..
It would be interesting to hear

Mind boggles re Bishop appointed a sexually active priest who doesn’t change re his sexuality. Another blow to rcc’s diminishing credibility and stunning sheer hypocrisy operated by that Bishop re that monsignor and fr altman. Bishops like himself don’t GET it as much as rcc don’t GET it re abuses.

One example of rcc diminished credibility was a priest that I saw in Costa cafe. No body, not one came over to him to say hello. Hes wearing his priestly collar plus his black dress which is usual of any priest attire. It just screams for attention but nobody took notice of him. I used to see him in Costa cafe now and again with student priest (who often kissed priest hand loads of times in TLM which put me off.).

Women mass goers did complain or report to PP re excessive kissing of hands by a seminarian. Then I never saw him again except odd turn up etc. He eventually moved to Dominicans order as a seminarian.

Excessive physical handling such as kissing of hands, put me off. Its unhealthy.

I saw that priest again when he was walking nearby, again nobody stopped him and sat hello or doff their hats. As usual he was wearing his priestly attire/garb. That’s tell us a story where some priests no longer were respected nor go to them for advice.

Breach in seal of confessional in Cabra, put a stop to all of that. My experience is this, if you give any priest full deference then you have given him a FULL Licence and authority to do anything including abuses et al.

I won’t give him any deference is the point that I’m making re seen him in Costa cafe. Once he gets the message then he can’t do anything that he would want to cos deference or respect is withdrawn nor his authority in question. Once he steps outside the church, he no longer carries it (authority) except for inside the church.

Regardless of statements put out by Pope Francis, an expert here or there, a report, hey even a synod, on the victims being at the heart of their ministry- the truth is privately and deep within the clerical circle they despise victims, take the piss out of them, obstruct them during the compensation process, demean them and loathe them – how do I know?
Well Elsie was called out for it at IICSA and Birmingham too – where the clergy are especially adept at bitching and gossiping loathe victims and think they should have kept their mouths shut.
So, give me a break, that notion of the victim at the heart of ministry is just a spin.

As for Burrill – it’s from the playbook isn’t it – a year on the naughty step and play the rehabilitation card – money he’s still on Grindr and money on he will pop up again. He broke the first rule of the closet – he got caught.

6.33: You raise very relevant and necessary questions about duty of care for priests who are suspended, often not knowing the reasons fully or who have to stand aside because of an allegation against them. Where egregious and life altering abuse of any kind is committed by a priest or anyone else, the courts of the land must adjudicate the final justice. The suffering of all who are abused is paramount. This sadly hasn’t always been the reality for survivors. The principle of “innocent until proven guilty” is a very noble principle and one which must apply to ALL ctizens. However, where clerics are concerned this principle is noticeably absent. I know 3 priests against whom allegations were made. Thank God all 3 were completely exonerated, with one accuser deservedly receiving a prison sentence for his malicious crime. In one case, the priest never worked in the school or parish where an accuser said he was abused. It is outrageous that any person should make a false accusation. Those credibly accused of abuse must face court justice. Those who falsely accuse must be seriously publicly reprimanded or brought to court. Apart from serious allegations or suspicions of wrong doing by priests, there has to be and should be, in every Diocese, a genuine system of care for clerics who have personal emotional, mental and psychological sufferings. It is vital in these days that Bishops realise that ministry today is presenting huge challenges for clergy who often feel totally abandoned while more is expected of us. Regrettably, there are commenters who delight at the downfall of a cleric, a delight often encouraged by this blog’s author!

The death of the German college rector is very sad and will be very painful for his family. It evidently came within 24 house or so of his suspension, and was no doubt a reaction in shock and pain to what was happening to him. In my professional life I had a number of occasions when I had to deal with very difficult situations concerning personnel and giving them news that they did not want to hear, including suspension. Our policy was always to ensure the care and wellbeing of the person involved, so someone would be designated as an accompanying friend to ensure that the person was checked on regularly, reassured, helped in whatever way possible, had someone to turn to, so that they did not feel completely abandoned and hopeless. There is a duty of care to those who have been accused and are suspended, even though for the most part the public don’t think that it should happen, or like that it is done. I wonder what duty of care was in place for this priest who has taken his own life ?

What about the party animal priest that used to be in Dungannon, Co Tyrone? Has he been moved out of sight or something?

Priest suicide, imagine a blog who demonises a priest at any chance they can with one version of story always. Who doesn’t post comments that don’t suit the narrative, imagine a blog like that 😏

To be fair I don’t think this blog demonised any side. He was suspended, after years old sexual misconduct accusations by 2 woman, then he went missing and found dead in a woods.
The fact he left a note. He takes responsibility, or he denies it, or demonises the Bishop. No winners. It could happen alot closer to hope, hopefully not. Regardless may the man Rest in Peace no matter what was bothering him.

The sisters of perpetual indulgence must attend Wilson’s ordinations. Sr Ejaculata, Sr Ifilia Balls, and Sr Frigida need to be outside the cathedral, poking fun at the ridiculousness of the whole thing. Only by making fun of instItutions are they forced to change.

I wonder will certain priests be attending, from outside Ireland 😂😂 or is it all still hush hush in Armagh?

Hi Pat I am hoping you might take a day a week on the blog to address major church issues rather than local Irish issues. I understand that it is your blog and respect that, however would be nice to address issues that are going on in the media and to hear your perspective as it is always quite insightful. In the last few weeks we have setbacks the death of Cardinal Sodano, 21 New Cardinals appointed, the Trads have been even more limited regarding worship and finally speculation the Pope might retire in August. I fully understand you want to address corruption on a local level but it would be great to hear your views on major issues on a semi-regular basis. Ger Fitzgerald is a horrible human being and deserves to be defrocked, but there is more to discuss….

@10:14 It is not just about the misdeeds of Ger Fitzgerald anymore…it has a much wider circumference.

I agree, but also tonight topic on a murderer getting remarried is definitely up there in interest and I suspect many radio programs will pick up on this story. It would be a great one for Pat Kenny to get his teeth into but think he was off today and could be on holidays but Newstalk from moring to evening have the best hosts in Ireland bar Nobody ..

Has Carlow a memorial for all the innocent children that were neglected into death by the nuns and priests who ran the orphanages and mother and baby homes around Ireland and the world, where they beaten and raped as infants infants, and deprived them of their mothers and sold abroad, or had drugs tested on them for a fee. I’m talking about living, human infants, not imaginary spiritual phantasies who are termed humans, but no court anywhere will prosecute those so-called ‘Murderers’. Why? because they were never humans, because with humans essence comes after existence. What are we to make of Jesus. As a man Jesus had no father, since God the Father did not father his son in the way that we understand human fathers do; and Jesus the God had no mother since there was no Devine mother to give birth to him, as he is one of these one of these mental mysteries so beloved of the men who love dressing up.Jesus was a non-being in human terms. These irish infants deserve a monument of acknowledgement in every Catholic church in Ireland, because they are real – not imaginary beings – and their dead flesh and bones is visible to any forensic enquiry that cares to look for it..
