EASTER SNOW
THE FAIRY
My long time friend and renowned performer of the Irish flute – SEAMUS TANSEY (78) died unexpectedly in the early hours of yesterday morning at Craigavon Area Hospital.
Seamus – Rest in Peace.
Seamus was from Gorteen in Sligo.
He spent part of his life as a postman in his own area.
For personal reasons he left Sligo and came to live in Northern Ireland.
31 years ago I celebrated his marriage to his wife, Joan, from Ballyclare in County Antrim.
From then forwards they lived in Craigavon.
Seamus was initially part of the music / drama group called The Armagh Rhymers.
But for a long time he had been regarded as an expert in the Irish flute and was renowned and highly regarded.
He had long term connection with with the Flately family and taught Michael Flately to play the flute.

Apart from his music Seamus was an old-fashioned Republican.
He had a mischievous sense of humour.
One time a court in the Republic forwarded a series of three summons to him.
Seamus sent a letter to the judge
“Dear Judge,
I wish to acknowledge the three summons you sent me.
I have only one request.
Could you please print all future summons on softer paper.
Sincerely yours,
Seamus Tansey”
Seamus was very loyal to me and to The Oratory.
Every Holy Week and every Christmas Eve Seamus played at our Masses. He also read old Irish poems for us.
Like myself, nobody was neutral about Seamus. You either loved or hated him.
But he was mightier himself than all his enemies put together.
SEAMUS’ FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS
Monday 11th July 3 pm Arrival of Seamus at The Oratory.
Wednesday 13th July 3 pm Funeral Mass at The Oratory.
Afterwards: Cremation
SUNDAY 17TH : Burial of ashes in Gorteen, Sligo.

Shameful 2 faced propaganda exhibited by bishops, priests, teachers & their cohort. 5.39: Your post is very confusing, a lie and incoherent. You take a swipe at everyone. You’re not the brightest spark with this utterance and you obviously haven’t a clue about Department of Education procedures, guidelines, protocols and ethical standards which MUST be upheld and followed re: giving teaching posts to teachers. There are clearly defined practises and I suggest you read them before you open your mouth in making false allegations. Somehow I don’t believe you’ve ever worked in a school setting in any capacity; therefore be informed truthfully re: Department procedures. It’s obvious too that you have no understanding of Schools requirements and obligations re: special needs children. The problem is not with the School Boards of Management, who do their level best to provide an education to all – but with a defect in funding by respective Education Departments. You attribute comments about special needs children to bishops, priests, teachers and their cronies and pronounce that they have contributed demeaning comments on this blog about such children! What a large statement. Now, tell us where and when and by whom these “supposed” unkind comments were posted on this blog. If you cannot do this simple task, I suggest you shut your mouth and go back to school. Pat, may I offer you my sympathy on the death of your very good musician friend. His music is wonderful. May God be kind to him and bless all who grieve for him.

Learning Lessons Review – Father Alan Griffin
June 26th 2022
Author – Chris Robson
The C of E in London should have had their “operative” locked up for not keeping records, the rest of them incl. Bishop Mullooly should have been slung in the street for not calling him to account, then RCDOW should have been slung in the street for not calling them to account. Mullooly and C of E London are the Queen’s employees, funded by thefts from C of E parishes (documented).
If I had been in Vin’s shoes I would, three months after Father Griffin’s application for ministry, have given Mullooly the ultimatum: within the week the entire facts “else” there will be our full account of your skulduggery in the press. This shows that the ontological clergydom don’t feature highly in RC values, contrary to what they were told.

9.36 Ger Fitzgerald & Jerry Carey surrounded themselves with “certain types” & so openly considered themselves invincible. Carey was a very bad example to Fitzgerald in this regard as he’d got away with so much for decades so Fitzgerald assumed he’d also follow in the same vein. Jerry Carey carries far more responsibility in this Fitzgerald saga. He was also previously based in Cloughleigh parish in Ennis but was elevated to the far more affluent Doora Barefield, Ennis parish.

6.50 Marcella, if you’d care to read the blog archive you will note that one of the victims of Fr Ger Fitzgerald- Carole has been wilfully and recklessly slandered and defamed in recent weeks as Glenstal Abbot, Brendan Coffey cancelled her retreat booked by Bishop Fintan Monahan of Killaloe Diocese on foot of Bishop Monahans instructions in an attempt to punish Carole for reporting what Fr Ger Fitzgerald did to her. Furthermore, a second woman, Yvonne Drake was intimidated by contacts of Fr Ger Fitzgerald in Ennis & had to leave her home in fear I understand. As you will also note, alleged property damage issues are outstanding, moneys received by Fr Ger Fitzgerald are under investigation etc, etc etc. You fail to appreciate that this is an extremely serious matter with a backstory & witnesses that will be presented in court and not on this blog. Marcella you are an arrogant & most ignorant member of “the chattering classes” – the type that have emptied churches around the world & no wonder.

He invited me to play the bodhrán on one of his recordings which I was honored to do. He was one of the greats and his Sligo style of playing and the settings he had on the tunes was magical. He will always be remembered in Irish music circles and his music will live on for generations. I am happy that his final resting place is the graveyard in Gurteen Co Sligo. This Fr Peter is just an idiot & maybe cultural misunderstandings which is fair enough, I’d blame his Bishop for failing to brief or prepare him properly in light of the highly predictable media interest in the Donnelly family in their time of mourning for their dear Fr Dermot. Fr Peter is Not the usual more vile Blabber mouth clergy type spouting propaganda along with his ilk to cover their own tails. This blog is littered with them. Arseholes in collars, a thundering disgrace. Jesus wept. Rest in peace Fr Donnelly.
