10.13 You know when they pulled down the kings from over the door in Notre Dame during the Revolution. They thought they were the kings of France. If they had realised that they were the kings of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, they would have left them alone. A little education would keep you from making such an assertion about the Downtrodden that rose up. When you read of the ” land of milk and honey” in The Bible, do you realise what it means ? There was never a land of milk and honey before the mass murder and blood thirsty tyranny you speak of, much like the papacy. It enjoys its paramountcy now because of the murder and bloodthirsty tyranny it visited on anyone who opposed it. You see, that is what Jesus was always teaching : to see.

11.16 in light of the nature of the offences of Fr Fitzgerald & Fr Carey and the ongoing lack of transparency from The Bishop of Killaloe and his clerical & lay teams of payroll & lay workers, have you been able to obtain up to date information and assurances in relation to the safety of yourself, your family & your property from the police in your area? HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on your own appointment too, well needed & far more honest and truthful than anything that’s emerged thus far from official Killaloe paid communications officers etc.

12:11 In reply to your query: I have not obtained any up to date information and assurances in relation to the safety of myself, my family & my property from the relevant authorities. There are still many unanswered questions and issues which need to be addressed by Bishop Monahan including the matter of the 17k in Ger’s account. Allow me to quote from Mr. T. who still resides at my residence: “Ger is still not taking responsibility.” If Marcella is reading this, I am certain that she will appreciate my “hugging” her name 🤗. Thank you kindly for the congratulations on my new appointment. Can someone pls give me the Diocesan Secretary’s address so that I can send him a bill for services rendered? I am sure there is plenty of moolah in the coffers now after the sale of the bingo hall & other assorted properties in the Killaloe Diocese portfolio.

That is a lie they are still members of Killaloe Diocese until a Canonical trial states otherwise.
They will not resign they think they should be appointed to parishes.
You only need to look at Down and Connor John J Murray still registered as a priest even although the courts said he abused children and Bishop Noel is trying to laisie him but his family are saying he does not understand so awaiting a Canonical trial.
They still get paid and accomodation supplied and sadly it can take years.

Er @ 9.40 am – so Killaloe has its own ecclesiastical offices not recognised by the Universal Church? How about Co-Bishops too? You can unite two or more dioceses under one bishop (e.g Cardiff) or even a coadjutor to succeed – but you can’t have two bishops simultaneously in charge of a diocese. If it is an appointment under canon 517 Section 1 then one of the priests has to be nominated as moderator.

There is no such thing as a Co PP. Load of bollocks. A concept made up to make all the Killaloe priests feel loved by their colleagues and then, add in the lay ministers and they’ll be so much love floating around Killaloe that Fintan will be blowing heart bubbles out his arse as he haemorrhages priests under 50. Are these pastoral workers full-time, paid positions? How much are they getting? God be with the days when we didn’t have to pay lay people to visit the old and the sick. The Legion of Mary and the SVP did that for nothing.
Also, how is a micro diocese such as Killaloe able to send three priests on a sabbatical? Outside of academia, I’ve never heard of a lay person getting a sabbatical.
Finally, it looks like Fr Anthony McMahon is definitely not coming back. The mean and high-handed treatment of him by Lugs has totally backfired.

MICHAEL FLATLEY
I found Michael Flatley yesterday to be modest and human. He only stood for pictures because people asked him to do so. He has been very generous to Seamus and Joan over the years. He showed genuine emotion and sorrow during the Mass.
I was impressed with all the musicians present.

Bishop Pat you were happy and enjoying the Holy Mass and let yourself go with the foot tapping, singing and jokes that is the future.
You may call it mordernist but people do NOT want to sit a listen to a Priest going on and on.
You maybe to old for the folk masses and they were popular.
A lot of the hymns are up beat and the way forward.
The guy who played the spiritual ones including Amazing grace was spot on.
PS Ger and Gerry are available for an Oratory in the South so you are most welcome.

10.01 as you are the spokesperson for Fr Ger & Fr Jerry, do we take it they are both seeking opportunities in the South of Ireland? Unfortunately as you might have noticed by the blog numbers that hit Richter scale levels on these postings, the Southern Oratory is oversubscribed by grateful converts to Bishop Pats truth and light. The Boiler House might be approached regarding opening a Limerick City Centre operation although it’s unlikely Fr Ger Fitzgerald will be pulled away from the greasy spoon or his alleged coal delivery route. Could be worse, he might have gone the route of the voyeuristic Fr Aidan McCann & taken up a window cleaning route.

Pat it never fails to fascinate me the way catlicks assume that what is true of them is true of everyone, specifically today
– you must have got paid a lot for the funeral
– you’ve told them you haven’t and they obviously don’t believe it
– the exchange above about sex is interesting
I’m wondering why someone would find it so hard to believe that a clergyman would perform a service for free, not lie about it, and that anyone would feel their sex life isn’t something to be ashamed of and can be talked about.
It’s pretty sad, the life of deceit and shame they lead.
And then we have the catlick commenter who repeatedly comments about child abuse being widespread, but that implication is a whole different layer of deceit.

Indeed. I cannot understand it either. Had I got a payment for the funeral I would have simply said so.

Anthony McMahon and his fellow Ennis native, Maurice Harmon were ordained in 2001. Both have left and Maurice got a job in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. How many Killaloe priests have left ministry over the years? It must be a good number. Do any priests ordained from about 2000 stay the course or do they all leave, eventually? That would make an interesting study.

Little did we know at the time that Maynooth was in a golden age, the scandals hadn’t emerged yet and Maynooth still thought it was the seminary in the world) but in a few years it was very quickly to go into vertiginous decline.
