ARMAGH – NO CHANGE AS AMY FIDDLES AROUND WITH CLERICAL CHANGES.

Oh, how do you solve a problem like Am……y?
How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?
When I’m with her I’m confused
Out of focus and bemused
And I never know exactly where I am
Unpredictable as weather
She’s as flighty as a feather“.

Eamon Martin is in the throes of compiling abd publishing Armagh Clerical Changes 2022.

What a job with so many skeletons in the Closet and so many scandals exploding?

ARMAGH’S FINEST

EAMON MC CAMLEY – The Keady Net Flasher

FATHER MC VEIGH – The Pomeroy Accidential Gay pornographer

RORY COYLE – The Grindr amateur

AIDAN MC CANN – The Ladies Lavatory Chaplain

RYAN MC ALEER – The Cherry Owner

EMLYN MC GINN – The Cherry Popper

ODE TO AMY JULY 2023

There’s a big girl in Ara Coeli,
With a problem worse than Daly.
All her priests are Friends of Dolly.
And the latest wheeled a trolly.

She has Ryan gone a travellin,
And poor Rory’s still unravellin.
Old Mc Camley’s still in Limbo,
And McVeigh’s without a Jimbo.

She has laid her hands on Steve,
And Mc Cann’s on courtroom leave.
McGinn’s accused and not so merry,
After popping poor Ryan’s cherry.

These are the ones of whom are aware,
But there are others waiting in their lair.
The Grindr boys are bad and bold,
And they are legion in Amy’s fold.

Rest in Peace. Condolences to family and friends of Seamus and all from the Irish Traditional Music at home and internationally who mourn him.

You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: “‘This people honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”

How is it possible to have so many sexual deviants in the Armagh presbyterate? Are bishops still obliged to keep priests’ personnel files in their ‘secret archive’? Imagine Armagh’s archIve, which must smell worst than an open sewer. Amy must keep popping in with her Eau du Lavender to mask the stench in Ara Coeli.

Because ALL presbyterates and institutes of consecrated life are like that. It’s the norm. If you find one that apparently isn’t, it’s because it hasn’t come out yet.

Please be careful when commenting on clergy. Whilst the behaviour of some is quite incredible, two priests named here have done more for the people of Cookstown than most even know about. Fr. Campbell and Fr Boyle did more for the young people of Cookstown when they were in the parish together twenty years ago. Saturday evening mass was packed with hundreds of young people before going out for the night. It was fantastic.
Now, Fr Boyle, as PP, has made major changes to the fabric of the parish. He is very popular among the faithful. The only dissenters are those ‘hangers-on’ to the Board of Governors of the College, who refused to leave with dignity after being asked to step down after sitting there for nearly 30 years, dictating who got jobs and who didn’t. Cookstown deserves better and Fr Boyle is the man the see to it.

I just watched the video ‘Keeping the Faith’ which told the story of Cherry Popper’s vocation and made shortly after his ordination. He didn’t sound happy or convincing then, and almost a resignation rather than an embracing of the priesthood, although it wasn’t a life that would bring him peace. Such a shame that he didn’t go to Ulster University at 18 and study to be a radiographer. His life could have been so much better. His parents did not seem happy with his choice either. I think it’s morally wrong for the church to accept students so young. 25 seems to be the youngest age at which candidates should start formation. I felt somewhat sorry for him.

Like

7.04 Agreed, as even prior to the cost of housing becoming prohibitive, young people have been marrying much later than their parents did, instead choosing to spend their 20s travelling, experiencing the wider world, building their career or whatever. Most weddings we’ve attended in the past decade or so, the couples are in their early 30s and appear very happy, committed and ready for both the joys and the challenges of married life that make it all worthwhile. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that a final decision should not be made nor accepted from any young person until they are at least 25 years old. There is still that notion of “catching them young” harking back to the old days of encouraging secondary age students to consider a vocation. Maybe that worked out well for many then but given what has been proven to go on in some of these seminaries these days and the poor handling and defensive denial of appropriate support for abused seminarians when things do go wrong, including failing to remove offending abusive clerical mentors, most families would be extremely concerned if a child left home to enter one of these places. It’s the few bad eggs that ruin it but the rest cover up and Victim blame the injured party to protect the church. It is advisable to enter any organisation like the RCC that hangs anyone who dares question it out to dry and this is what has visibly been done under the watch of successive Roman Catholic Church hierarchy. The Irish church might have more luck with mature entrants that they have had better prepared and assessed than they seem to be doing at present. The church should not be used as a bolt hole for entrants with ulterior motives in the same way that it should not allow itself to be bought in return for a veneer of respectability and the support of clergy in turning a convenient blind eye to wrong doing by their lay hierarchy.

Like

11:07 Yes (although I expect you mean inadvisable).
I think the reason seminarians still tend to be young is as you mature you learn to recognize bullshit, value what you already have in life, and are more likely not to tolerate nonsense or be taken in by pious platitudes.
This leadss to a perfect storm of men not wanting to risk it and ‘formators’ not wanting to take them.
The mentally young and naive up to 25 year old would be the ideal.

Like

1.04 yes, meant inadvisable! What you say is very true. Hindsight is clearly a bitter reminder of what might have been for some current incumbents.

No matter how inappropriate and morally reprehensible any misbehaviour by these clerics, l ask myself, as suggested by Pat so often – what would JESUS do or say to these men on the Sabbath? I reflect on the woman to whom Jesus said after forgiving her, “go and sin no more”. I’m sure she found this a difficult task but she was blessed by God’s grace through JESUS’S presence and words of forgiveness. Jesus didn’t chase after her, not did he thrash her into the ground not did he continue to write large her sins on her forehead . JESUS didn’t harrass or stalk this woman. Having condemned these clerics so frequently, what next? A public parading through Armagh!

You haven’t a clue about that biblical passage, have you? Your hermeneutic is more eisegetical than exegetical.

Jesus wasn’t commanding the woman never to sin again; this wouldn’t have been, as you put it, ‘a difficult task’, but an impossible one. As Descarte might have said about this: ‘We are sinners; therefore, we shall sin.’

No; Jesus was telling the woman to stop f**k**g a married man, a prospect, I think, considerably within her remit, otherwise Jesus wouldn’t have ordered her to desist.

Now, not only did he command her to do the distinctly possible, for her, but he commanded this because the woman was sincerely repentant, moved by Jesus’ words, and his merciful persona.

This brings us to those priests you have in mind. Are they repentant? Not if this blog is telling the truth. So, you see, don’t you, why it remains essential to crack a moral whip over the heads of these reprobates and parasites? Tell me you do. Because there is absolutely no personal parallel between them and that woman.

The lesson here for you? Don’t weaponise Scripture for your own ends. Satan tried this and made a fool of himself. You will, too.

Like

11.54: You ask that I don’t weaponise scripture for my own end! Really? Just reread your own hermeneutic of the passage. Rather very poor. You used the referenced passage of scripture to crush priests… A case of satan using scripture for his own ends. Sadly, we know your types all too well. The merciless ones, the crushers, condemners, the one who keep people imprisoned in their past. The ones JESUS fiercely condemned…Now, go and study the passage of scripture without the stones in your hand.

I am the commenter at 11.54.
You sound … shrieky. (On the cusp of hysteria?) It may account for your complete misunderstanding of my earlier post, your less-than-rational state of mind.
I did not use the biblical passage you misinterpreted (as much as you did my comment) ‘to ‘crush priests’; you really do need to control that flighty imagination of yours, but only after reining in your more fractious emotions.
If I were crushing anyone, it was morally hypocritical priests, the kind you have been over-sensitively defending.
Not one of the priests on today’s blog should still be in ministry: they are liars and deceivers. How in the name of Christ you believe any of these men trustworthy enough to continue as clerics is utterly bemusing!
You are an emotional fool: a jumble of near-hysterical feeling rather than rational thought.
I’ve gathered that you incline more to folksy understanding of Scripture than solid exegesis, so, if I might (for your benefit) make an exception and join you in a folksy interpretation of that passage:
It emphasises the fundamental requirement of remorseful repentance BEFORE the forgiveness of personal sin. Is this penny dropping?
God does not forgive unless there is repentance. Nor must we. Hence, the repeated exposure of the morally fraudulent ministries of the priest-parasites featuring on today’s blog.

I can’t quite decide whether your comment is sheer brass-necked or tongue-in-cheek.

Martin is rightly excoriated (not the hyperbolic ‘smashing… into smithereens’) for his utterly terrible stewardship in Armagh.

Allowing such priests as feature on the blog to continue as clerics is deeply shameful, and constitutes a constant danger to the Faithful. This is the real scandal: that Martin would continue to risk the moral and spiritual welfare of even one of Jesus’ little ones rather than drive the wolves from his pasture.

Your sympathising with Martin makes me wonder whether you are one of the offending priest-parasite-predators that he has been shielding?

Great post. You hit the nail directly on the head. The real scandal- that Martin would continue to risk the moral and spiritual welfare of even one of Jesus’ little ones rather than drive the wolves from his pasture. This clericalist scourge, the preferential option for the priest, is a contagion which is literally ruining the Church. CSA was covered up in the interests of the reputation of the clerical fraternity, not the Church as a whole. Protecting the clergy seems so paramount even the moral credibility of the hierarchy can be ditched. What is going on in the catholic priesthood…?

To suggest that I may be a “priest-predator-parasite” is gratuitously insulting, unnecessarily offensive and plainly ignorant. I have no difficulty in criticising the Archbishop for decisions not made or for any offence he may have committed: I simply make the point that I do not believe in the ugly, vulgar, nasty and degrading caricaturing of this man. It proves nothing, is a cheap shot and reflects the paucity of intelligence of the commenter. Thete must always be fairness and balance in our perceptions about other people. I also make the point that the recurring attacks of the Archbishop in the same nasty, mocking tones almost on a daily basis is equuvalent to bullying and stalking. So, no need for your nastyism!! I have never attacked any person so horrendously in my life as the way this Archbishop is demeaned…and butchered on this blog. It is not at all of Christ.

So, you ARE a priest. (I’ll omit, on this occasion, ‘-parasite-predator’, for the sake of your sensibilities.)
It’s telling that you never once mentioned the reason Martin is rightly excoriated for his appalling stewardship in Armagh: ‘This is the real scandal: that Martin would continue to risk the moral and spiritual welfare of even one of Jesus’ little ones rather than drive the wolves from his pasture.’ (From my post at 2.27.)
The poster at 4.17 (not I) calls this a ‘clericalist scourge, the preferential option for the priest, (and is) a contagion which is literally ruining the Church’. But you don’t give the proverbial, do you, priest?
How should one refer to such a man as Martin? With polite, sugar-coated words? A man who is more concerned with the welfare of priest-parasite-predators than that of the most vulnerable? The lambs of his flock? Jesus had harsh words, too, for people like Martin. Very harsh words.
You, and your kind, have learned nothing from the sexual exploitation and criminality committed by priests. Nothing at all. Nor do you want to learn.
Hence, the need for vigilance about you, and your morally rotted kind.

There’s one fair county in Ireland
where the Archbishop’s losing his way
where nature has broadcast its bounty
Through the laptop of Father McVeigh.

I’ve been to wild parties and dances
And seen things you might think taboo
And the priests, after mass on a Sunday, are looking for someone to screw

CHORUS:
It’s my own Irish home
far away from Rome
although I’ve often been sent
to foreign lands on loan
no matter where I wander
old Grindr’s never far
But there’s plenty of sex in old Ireland
in the County of Armagh

I’ve travelled that part of the county
Seen Eamon McCamley’s old man
and I looked through the gap in the toilets
With the Reverend Aidan McCann.
Where the sems are so gay and so hearty
With cherries and away from their ma
But where are the boys that can pop them
Like the priests from the county Armagh?

Overall it was a better final than last year despite some frees were given wrongly.

Hi DG,
Belated happy birthday! I heard you are the big 50.
You’re only a toddler DG. 50 is the new 30.
Make sure to wear factor 50 sun lotion.
And no Phuket-in it.
Who were you supporting in the hurling?

You were reading post from an impersonator re happy birthday. My birthday is many months down the road LOL.
I’m sunburnt already as I didn’t put any SF cream just for the day to boost up my vitamin D.
I was a neutral but sort of support Kilkenny cos Limerick was bit of a dirty team.
Phuket trip is a distinct possibility in 12 to 24 months time, no hurry though depending on Covid situation here and there.

Yes it’s a unforgiving task re referee but I knew his record over the last 4 years which had me saying, not good decision made by gaa. I would have preferred another ref from Tipperary, Trevor Horgan or Owens from wexford.
Kilkenny didn’t think in first 20 or 25 mins before they changed their tactics. Its all about preparation and getting it right on the day is no mean feat.
Pluses coming from today match was that Limerick is getting weaker over the years but winning at the same time. The strongest Limerick team was 3 years ago as counties teams are getting to know their weakness in the last 10 months.
Galway came close to it with new manager from cats, which isn’t that bad.
Adios 😁.

DG 7:17, it was a close contest, in the heat of Croke Park. Kilkenny battled bravely. Limerick deserved to win. Limerick always created scores when under pressure. Kilkenny will regret some poor shooting.
Who would be a referee? It is an unforgiving task. The best team won. Lovely hurling! 🏑😎

The Catholic Church should scrap the requirement for priestly celibacy
VATICAN CITY (VATICAN CITY)
The Economist [London, UK] July 14, 2022
Let priests wed
“The Pope is not in the habit of taking advice from newspapers. After all, the Roman Catholic Church takes instruction from the creator of the universe. Nonetheless, Pope Francis has opened up a process whereby all 1.4bn Catholics can have a say about the future of the faith. If they want to reduce the scourge of sexual abuse by priests, they should demand an end to the rule requiring priestly celibacy.”

‘the Roman Catholic Church takes instruction from the creator of the universe.’
If that were true the creator of the universe would be an imbecile and a sadist.

@ 8:42.
If there was/is a Creator of the universe then, as you say, he/she/it, as well as being an imbecile and sadist, is surely utterly incompetent.

That nun assaulted those two beautiful young lesbians. Maybe she was miffed that they hadn’t invited her to join them in a threesome. 😂
