CARDINAL PROTECTS GAY PRIEST WHO KEPT SEX SLAVE.

September 22, 2022 from Church Militant by Jules Gomes

https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/cardinal-abets-gay-priest-who-kept-sex-slave

Brazil’s top cardinal, who is currently visiting Pope Francis, is covering for a sodomite priest who coerced a 17-year-old boy into sexual slavery, Church Militant has learned.

Cardinal Odilo Pedro Scherer, archbishop of São Paulo, is refusing to comply with a court order that compels him to disclose documents of the archdiocese’s canonical proceedings against homopredator priest Fr. Bartolomeu da Silva Paz.

Brazilian liberation theologian Leonardo Boff reported the sodomite rape and sexual enslavement of Elissandro Dias Nazaré de Siqueira (aka “Eli”) to Pope Francis, a source close to the victim said. The crimes were perpetrated by Fr. Bartolomeu from 2014 to 2017.

Eli’s lawyers, Guilherme Dudus, a graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, and Dr. Maristela Basso, professor of international law at the University of São Paulo, are appealing to Pope Francis to grant justice to Eli during Scherer’s ad limina visit to Rome.

“This ad limina visit is very curious and really puts Pope Francis to shame,” Dudus told Church Militant. “We request the Holy Father to open an inquiry into the conduct of Cdl. Scherer, the apostolic nunciature in Brazil and the bishops involved in covering up the abuse.”

PAT SAYS

This is an other terrible scandal and cover up.

The cover up is particularly bad as it goes all the way to the Vatican and Francis.

The stench of rotteness is now coming from every international corner of the RCC

IS BILL MULVIHILL UNWELL?

BILL THIS WEEK

EMAIL I SENT BILL ON WEDNESDAY

I free to release this email as Bill has been sending it to third parties.

Dear Bill,

I hope that by this stage you realise how much I care about you and in fact love you as my friend.

In writing this I realise that you may be very angry with me and withdraw your friendship from me.

But above all else, a friend is someone who will tell you the truth even if it involves risks.

“Love is not something you protect. It’s something you risk.” “Better to put your heart on the line, risk everything, and walk away with nothing than play it safe. Love is a lot of things, but “safe” isn’t one of them.”

(Gayle Forman)

“Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence.

(Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)

I was totally exhausted after your visit last weekend

And, while possessing absolutely no expertise in matters medical or psychological, I am worried that you are suffering from a debilitating mental health condition.

I base this worry on my observation and experience of your behaviour at close quarters.

I think you should use your excellent VHI to address this.

Pat

PAT SAYS

Since sending this email to Bill I have had a tirade of abuse from him.

I’m not upset by this as I know the place they are coming from.

I still regard myself as his good, honest friend.

And I am not saying that anything Bill has said, or is saying, is untrue.

Nor do I want a lorry load of  nasty, personalised comments about Bill – and will not publish them.

The purpose of this blog is to persuade Bill or someone close to him to act in his best interests.

HOMELESS

As we head into winter Bill is currently homeless and living in a tent.

Last week I paid £ 400 for three nights accommodation for him in Dublin.

If I could afford it I would pay a regular rent for him, but I can’t.

When he stayed with me for 3 nights recently I purchased new bed linen to give him rest and comfort and made sure he had nourishing meals.

I would urge anyone in touch with Bill to give him all the support they can.

*******

I have decided not to allow any comments regarding the second section of today’s blog.

But I will carefully read all comments and reflect on them.

Saint John Chrysostom wrote that a man who will not withdraw his hand from evil doing for fear of God will certainly do so for fear of dogs.
Benedict should sue the pants of Meath and Silverstream… it’s the only thing a reprobate like Tom understands.

Like

Chrysostom could talk!
Evildoing? He was a rabid anti-Semite. Stirred up vicious hatred against the Jews in his sermons. But that’s ok: he’s a saint.
The Romanists would have canonised Lucifer. They probably yet may.

I wonder whether this cardinal will do a ‘George Pell’ by trying to stay in Rome rather than return to Brazil.
Could he have those documents with him?

Like

I was wondering that. My favorite bible passage is the one where Jesus tells the apostles to claim diplomatic immunity to get away with stuff.

Liked by 1 person

Is that the passage before the one where he tells the Apostles that lying is a sin only if it isn’t done with panache and plausibility?

Liked by 1 person

Honestly, 9:32, you should know that passage is only a marginal reading in the Vatican manuscripts. What he really said was lying might be a sin but nobody can touch you because it’s not a crime!

I could have sworn I read that in the Gospel of Mark (Revised Non-Standard Version), right after the bit where Jesus commands the Apostles ‘if thine sty🐷 offends thee, muck it out!’
If I might recommend light meditative reading, you can’t go wrong with Pope Joan’s ‘Musings on a Wet Thursday Afternoon’. Now don’t misunderstand the title: the musings aren’t ABOUT a wet Thursday afternoon; that would be silly. No; the musings took place ON a wet Thursday afternoon, just after a light luncheon. They’re very good, but not preferred reading at the Vatican, I understand. Maynooth library possesses a copy or two.

Like

11:55 A great classic. Although of course given that the titular wet Thursday afternoon is a euphemism (as in wet bank holiday or having the decorators in) Maynooth students are unlikely to be interested or even understand what the great Pope is on about.

Like

On the contrary, every copy (six in all) has been borrowed from the library, but never returned.

The Maynooth students must find Pope Joan’s musings so inspiring that they’re willing to commit theft just to hold onto them. I know all this, cuz one of the students told me so in recent days. Said as well something about the books, and then flipped to wonky tables.

I missed the bit in between. 🙄

11.56 hundreds of Roman Catholic clerics involved in various levels of sexual and financial deviancy are being facilitated with the full knowledge and cooperation of the Roman Catholic bishops and hierarchy worldwide. It’s an open secret and the bigger question is why police forces worldwide are permitting this to go on unchallenged.

Like

That’s easily explained.
On an individual level, interestingly the motivation for becoming a police officer isn’t that different from becoming a priest: unquestionable authority, a bit of power, a veneer of respectability. It’s a magnet to the school bully, the dodgy, inadequate and deviant.
On a national and international level they are there to protect the interests of the rich and powerful. You didn’t think they were there to protect anyone else did you?

How the heck could any of those countries arrest that man? What would they have known of his background?

But Frankie knew, and still he is going to receive him?

Their population seems brainwashed.

Like

If they are that kind, then surely poverty is a good thing.

Why does the Catholic Church raise money for the poor?

Like

Yeah. Keep them poor, keep them ignorant.
Any country which promotes religious-statue worship ( no country does it better than Brazil) is bound to be a trouble spot for abuse of all sorts by Catholic priests.
The default position regarding any priest should be that he is a potential abuser awaiting an opportunity to abuse, so don’t give him one. Start by refusing to call him ‘Father’. He is not your father in any way, shape or form. Would you want him to be? Calling him ‘Father’ gives him deferential power over you.

Like

True.

The religious-statue worship bit helps to still critical thinking by appealing to childish emotions. Keeps worshippers in high sentimental mode, in which they’re more impressionable and less likely to get up ‘Faaather’s’ nose.

9.23 Jesus, you people always moaning about priests. Our priest is in a happy relationship, do you begrudge him that. He is not like those priests on Caldey Island luring impoverished kids into caves with bars of chocolate, for God sake. Get a grip and be grateful for small mercies for goodness sake.

Nah! Grace, you get a grip, your priest shouldn’t be in a ‘relationship’ at all he’s a disgrace. He should be dismissed and you’re not any better for seemingly condoning him.
