Dear Bishop Buckley
I have been informed that u have an interest in the diocese of killaloe.
This might be of interest to you.
St Flannans College were left land by Mary Charolette McNamara on condition that it not be sold or let. It was to remain part of st Flannans College in Ennis
The current bishop has taken a commercial decision to sell 5 acres of it against the wishes of the board of management of the school and many residents

He is refusing to acknowledge the bequest condition and the charity regulator is sitting on the fence.
Many locals are concerned about the sale as it will lead to further erosion in n the lands for commercial gain.
The sale must be stopped.
Description

PRIME DEVELOPMENT LAND, ENNIS, CO. CLARE
This exceptionally located development site is being offered for sale by Private Treaty with Best Bids invited by Thursday 31st January 2019 (unless previously sold).
The property is located in a prime location in Ennis adjacent to St. Flannans College on the Limerick road. The site extends to approximately 2.06 hectare (5.09 acres). The holding comprises a parcel of land of c. 3.76 acres & c. 1.33 acres, the larger of which is zoned residential ( LDR*) while the 1.326 acres is zoned Community** in the Clare County Development Plan 2017- 2023 Volume 3(a) Ennis Municipal District Area Settlements.
The primary access corridor serving the site will be off Turnpike Road. The corridor will access both the c. 5.09 acres as well as the balance of the land holding which will remain within the curtilage of the College.
This land holding is one of the best sites in Ennis and it offers an excellent development opportunity for residential or community based projects subject to planning permission.
*LDR – Low Density Residential

8:36 who provided all the land for the school and the playing fields in Ennis? It looks a huge site, did one family donate all that land to St Flannans or did several families around that area do so?

Sadly lots of schools no longer have playing fields, which means a football game or other activity similar involves an excursion to some park. I hope this action can be stopped. While this corner won’t stop games, that’s how playing fields disappear, bit by bit, starting with the least important corner.

That piece of land is useless for hurling!! But as a past puple there it has a great reputation and some great teachers. Not so much in my days when it was controlled by priests. I would not have sent my children there 20/30 years ago. It is different now. I don’t think I would buy a house on that property however.

Bill has to decide to help himself before anyone else can and until he does he will have to stay as he is ‘living in a tent’.
It may seem odd but the best way people can help Bill is to NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY or LEND HIM ANY MONEY, because if anyone does they will not get their money back. He won’t use the money to put down as a deposit on a flat with some rent up front he will just squander it. Helping Bill financially just keeps his delusional ideas of grandiose going.

If Killaloe will not honour the nature and conditions of the charitable donation than the donor’s next of kin should assert their residue ownership, for it is to them that ownership should “return”.

10.42 have the next of kin of the McNamara family been located yet? They are legally entitled to have the property returned to family members as Bishop Monahan has breached the legal terms under which the land was bequeathed to St Flannans College. This is a very serious matter of public interest.

Yes. If you make the mistake of giving land like this in addition to your will you’re as well to get a solicitor to ensure its so encumbered with trusts and shit that it can’t legally get through conveyancing.
Obviously I don’t know when Ms McNamara gave it but I think giving anything to the church these days shows you’re a fool because there is no excuse not to know that this is how they treat gifts.

Pat, you not I know the conditions in which land was given to Killaloe Diocese. So we should resist attributing wrong motivations to Bishop Monahan. Also in some Dublin parishes lands which the Church offered and assigned for housing developments was rejected by councillors and others because they didn’t want “housing” on the green spots designated. I thought the councillors were outrageous. There are small interested groups that crop up when they perceive developments of any kind being planned for their area. So, I’d hold off for now from believing “concerned” Killaloe. Let him/her declare their interests first. As for Bill M – Pat, he will thrive on any notice given to him. You have been more than kind to him. You now need to be let go of him..for your own well being. He will always find an easy touch. We’ll pray for him but you should keep him at a distance…

Fiction at 8:43.
Money given to the church’s charities doing education and healthcare does that.
Money given to dioceses supports the dioceses, which will mainly be spent on salaries which is the same in any organization. In every one without exception you will also find a large stock of assets, at the least in the millions of investments and something similar in assets like buildings and valuables. Currently donations aren’t enough to add to these so in the past your donations helped to build up current wealth and currently they’re paying salaries.
If you want to give money and limit what it can be spent on you can do things like buy altar supplies, pay a contractor for work on a church or give a particular priest tokens to dictate where he spends it.

They 24/7 raking in money, they pay for nothing. Add to that Tax refunds on donations, free professional fees on projects in return for “favours”, Mafia wouldn’t get a look in. Given past history, it’s zero surprise to note that Bishop Fintan Monahan & his greedy land & money obsessed colleagues & cohorts have allegedly broken the legal clause in the documents & chose not to respect or comply with the wishes of the kind lady gullible enough to believe she was leaving land to school but she failed to realise the power the church hold over school property. Sure, deliberately ignoring the deathbed instructions of this elderly lady is small fry in the Roman Catholic Church compared to how they continue ignoring valid reports of kiddy fiddling, money fiddling, sex attacks on Irish based seminarians, Roman Catholic clergy in gay, heterosexual & swinging sexual arrangements etc., etc. Their fancy indulgent lifestyles for themselves & their types cost plenty money don’t you know.

Just in case anyone isn’t clear.
If you give money or anything else to the church they cease to be yours.
The church you go to on a Sunday isn’t yours. The bishops don’t care about any moral imperative that your relatives gave money to build it, moral imperatives aren’t what they’re about.
In law churches and church properties belong to the legal entity – usually the diocese – which is run by trustees and not you. They have legal accountability to the charity commissioners but this is rarely enforced and they have no accountability’to you at all.
STOP GIVING STUFF TO THE RICHEST ORGANIZATION ON EARTH.

Moral imperatives don’t appear to matter to bishops.
It was church policy to cover up abuse, protect abusers, while gaslighting survivors of church abuse so clergy and hierarchs, the institution, would look good. Being morally good doesn’t seem to matter at all. Protecting finance appears to matter most to our supposedly moral superiors.

If this is an egregious betrayal of the McNamara will, and if it is so it will out, then everybody who has an idea of leaving land or money to the Church under some stipulation should think again. Because there is no way that you can be sure that the Church will use the bequest in the way you want or stipulate further down the line. That is the only way that the Church will sit up and take notice, namely when the lucrative stream of bequests dries up. Likewise with Church giving in general. Stop putting money on the plate or by standing order to your parish if you are not happy. Very quickly the PP will notice, because on a Monday morning you can guarantee that the first thing he does is look at the weekend’s offerings. The effect will be immediate and very noticeable. Then he / they might sit up and notice and begin to think why. The main motivation for them will be that their comfortable life could be interrupted, so they will act PDQ. Money talks. Hit them where it hurts if you are not happy.

Interesting how interconnected everything is. Bill Mulvihill and Neil Dargan from Ennis were inseperable besties in Maynooth. Both had ‘interesting’ clerical careers. Bill has pontificated at length on this blog on every matter of his career. Neil has graced these pages also. Ordained by a saint… Dargan was a member of staff in St. Flannans for many years in between two spells in Roscrea Abbey. We all know of his soft (hard!) spot for the monastery kitchen! Terms in Roma and Kiladysert parish & Dublin diocese before he finally took off his collar.. to everyones relief.. Wonder if Bill and Neill are still besties? Bill tends to fall out with people.. On the sale of lands at Alma Mater..Killalloe Diocese and the RCC should be seen first as businesses.. that dabble in religion occasionally. Lugs, Deenihan, Farrell/ Ledwith.. are all primarily business men not pastors.. Killaloe like the whole edifice is in decline. It is very asset rich owning extensive properties but now needs cash.. Killaloe lost a fortune in the last recession.. bad investments. But wills and property sales have steadied the ship. The clerical rats are leaving the ship. Just look at Roscrea parish.. A sad spectacle to observe. My advice Bishop Pat .. follow the money. That’s all you need to do, because that’s what it’s all about now.. keep up the good work +Pat You are one off the few authentic voices left in the spiritual realm in Ireland. Its a huge building, now that there are no boarders, how are all the rooms used. Are they rented out to businesses, or some other use that brings in revenue?
Apparently there is only one Roman Catholic priest, who was installed as the school principal, without adverting the post, with an uproar from parishioners (LOLS) So, secular teachers have to be paid. Working out the the salaries of 60? teachers must make a big hole in the income, apart from all ancillary staff salaries.
Is it still a feepaying school.
Looking at the size of the building, which needs maintenance and, upkeep, keeping it heated alone, must cost an arm and a leg, even more so this coming winter.
Does the school receive any monetary input from the government?
Would it be regarded as a heritage site.
One things for sure, the desire for parents to have their children Catholic educated is dwindling fast.
In fairness it must be near impossible to balance the books with this looming foreboding monstrosity to look after, no wonder they are selling off part of it’s land.
Will this school go the way Roman Catholic monasteries schools have in England? It is likely, time alone will tell.

Why do blog readers opine on the Church’s disposal of surplus assets, when 99% of readers don’t go to Mass, are probably moral reprobates so not in a position to be in moralistic high dudgeon, and they don’t pay a washer to the Church? Is any of it their business?

2:45 Because if the outside world hadn’t intervened your priests would still be raping kids and being moved on to do it again when they were found out. The reason you can’t see that you belong to a dangerous criminal organization is the cult programming you have undergone. We don’t blame you for this, but we want to open your eyes so that you can escape.

Anonymous benefactor is apparently NOT connected to the RC Cabal. If Killaloe priest is still claiming that the 17k is his personal savings, then the money given to him by the benefactor is presumably still resting in his account and has not been used for the purpose it was intended. Revenue has been notified and been given ALL pertinent details relating to the case including those relating to Bishop Monahan’s fact finding mission.

3.31 You have been wrong before and apologised. I have fulfilled my moral & civic duty by passing on the information to the relevant authorities. It is their job to investigate. By saying that an unresolved financial issue involving a Killaloe Diocese priest is over, you are essentially turning a blind eye to an alleged white collar crime. The third party benefactor acted in good faith. You are not in the possession of ALL details involved in this matter.

I also told a certain priest and the diocese, this town wasn’t big enough for both of us, look how that panned out for him.
You may still be here , for now but your agenda is long gone.
I certainly won’t be here for much longer. As some of us have a life to get on with. Anyone on this daily is not happy with themselves or their situation.
Unlike you though , I get results.

Below is symptoms of just one psychiatric condition. Mental ill health is a much underestimated, misunderstood, and serious state which many of us, don’t fully appreciate or understand.
(“There but for the grace of God go I”)
When mismanaged, misdiagnosed, not treated, or person suffering has not got the insight into her/his illness, or refused medication, it can become a downward spiral, with tragic consequences
Pat has been deeply hurt, as with deep and trusting relationships, when that friendship and trust is damaged, it’s very upsetting, it cuts very deep, leaving a wound that takes a longtime to heal.
” More to be pitied than laugh at” keeps coming to mind.
Bipolar disorder
Bipolar disorder is characterised by extreme mood swings. These can range from extreme highs (mania) to extreme lows (depression).
Episodes of mania and depression often last for several weeks or months.
Depression
During a period of depression, your symptoms may include:
feeling sad, hopeless or irritable most of the time
lacking energy
difficulty concentrating and remembering things
loss of interest in everyday activities
feelings of emptiness or worthlessness
feelings of guilt and despair
feeling pessimistic about everything
self-doubt
being delusional, having hallucinations and disturbed or illogical thinking
lack of appetite
difficulty sleeping
waking up early
suicidal thoughts
Mania
The manic phase of bipolar disorder may include:
feeling very happy, elated or overjoyed
talking very quickly
feeling full of energy
feeling self-important
feeling full of great new ideas and having important plans
being easily distracted
being easily irritated or agitated
being delusional, having hallucinations and disturbed or illogical thinking
not feeling like sleeping
not eating
Between 25% and 60% of individuals with bipolar disorder will attempt suicide at least once in their lives and between 4% and 19% will complete suicide
doing things that often have disastrous consequences – such as spending large sums of money on expensive and sometimes unaffordable items
making decisions or saying things that are out of character and that others see as being risky or harmful.
Anosognosia, also called “lack of insight,” is a symptom of severe mental illness experienced by some that impairs a person’s ability to understand and perceive his or her illness.
It is the single largest reason why people with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder refuse medications or do not seek treatment.
(Pat, you might feel this is not appropriate for your blog. I can’t offer you prayers or any for himself, but wish you both well.)

Correct if I’m wrong do you not go to see a psychiatrist regularly, and are permanently medicated with valume and didn’t your husband try to have you sectioned. I am not on either the above mentioned points.
If your this crazy mdicated on vakume I would dread to see you without it .
Only fair you approve my comment pat, it’s a response.

Also on another note.
While some people self medicate and others are prescribed and medicated. One is only crazy on one substance and normal without. The other needs to be medicated to bring down their crazy they naturally have.
