The former bishop of Créteil accused of voyeurism in Coutances in the Manche

VATICAN AND FRENCH BISHOPS TRIED TO COVER UP THUS STORY!!!

SANTIER

A new scandal tarnishes the image of the Catholic Church. A scandal that took place in the Channel. Mgr Michel Santier, former bishop of Créteil, was sanctioned by the Vatican for “spiritual abuse leading to voyeurism on two adult men“. Facts that took place in the 1990s in Coutances (Manche).

The facts were committed while he was a priest in Coutances as part of a spiritual accompaniment, at the school of Faith, a prayer training school for 18-30 year olds, of which he was director at the ‘era. Bishop Santier, who has been retired for a year, has recognized these acts of voyeurism. He tendered his resignation in June 2020 two years before the legal age required by the Vatican (75 years).

No complaint from the victims but a report to the religious authorities

The two victims did not file a complaint but made themselves known to the Church authorities in 2019. Rome’s disciplinary action dates back to last year but the case has just been revealed by the weekly Christian Family
and confirmed by press releases this Friday evening from the dioceses where he exercised, in particular the diocese of Coutances.

I am aware that this news is a great shock

Following these measures, Monsignor Laurent Leboulc’h, the current bishop of Coutances explains that he “asked Bishop Santier to leave Saint-Pair-sur-Mer to join a community of sisters“. This is the abbey of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte where ” he leads a life of withdrawal and prayer“and y”provides a limited ministry“, adds Monsignor Leboulc’h who also expresses in this press release his “compassion for the victims and those hurt by these revelations. “I’m conscioushe writes, this news is a big shock.”

Mgr Dominique Blanchet, current bishop of Créteil, also in a press release assured the victims of his “compassion“. In October 2021, the Catholic Church was shaken by the publication of the shock report of the Sauvé Commission who has documented the extent of pedocrime within the religious institution over the past 70 years. In Lourdes, in November 2021, the episcopate recognized his “institutional responsibility“as well as the character”systemicof this violence.

Imagine a world FREE of religious, hierarchical PARASITES. It’s a truly beautiful vision, because Jesus did NOT intend a priesthood. His death and resurrection broke down the historical bonds of Jewish priesthood (and, therefore, of priesthood of ANY kind), setting ALL of us, men, women, and children to approach God, not through any intermediary, but directly, and confidently.
See a priest, ANY priest, and see someone who wants to keep you from God, but beholden to himself.

Little Rishi told us that he knows how hard it is for people. Yeah ?! I’d say he wouldn’t even notice if his fine Italian loafers tripled in price. He has no clue. To recall Norman Tebbit, I wonder what cricket team he supports when England plays India ? I think I know the answer. Yes, rich, privileged and aloof, and with at least half his consciousness on another continent.

Didn’t they get back India / Pakistan / Bangladesh / Sri Lanka ? What bemuses me is, if they so value their independence and freedom and autonomy, why so many of them want to come here ? Well, they are here to stay now, and doing well by and large. However, the undercurrents of resentment are smouldering. I think there is trouble ahead. It will not be pretty. There is no way that such huge change can take place in a country without there being some consequence. That’s what history teaches us. It’s the reality.

The Roman Catholic Church sure attracts some seriously sick and twisted types. Nasty corrupt cult on the make big time. High time all its billions and billions were seized by international policing authorities and redistributed to estates of deceased victims, living survivors and invest any remaining in policing services to combat any connected church related corruption by clergy and their well connected professional laity in high office worldwide.

A wonderful vision. Inspired! But it will never be realised, not while there remains priesthood.

The problem isn’t celibacy, or unchastity, or infidelity to God, or whatever else you choose to call. Unless you call priesthood itself. Remove it, and you remove clerical hierarchy.

It was a sadducean priest, Caiaphas, who had Jesus crucified, and it is from priesthood today that Jesus is daily being walked to Calvary.

When will people learn? Do they even want to learn?

What you said may be true.
Most disturbing of all, in my opinion, is that Pope Francis was categorical in his assurance to Emanuela’s poor mother and brother respectively that she was dead : ‘Emanuela is in Heaven’; ‘Emanuela is in Heaven.’
How could he know, unless he knows?

What. hang in a minute, that can’t be right, a bishop is a sexual pervert, never, that can’t be true, you must be making it up!!
Just kidding – no shit Sherlock – tell me something I don’t know!!
His problem isn’t his perversion or criminality his problem is he got caught.
Of the 5000 bishops in the world I’d say a high percentage are perverts – Aldous Huxley said that celibacy was the mother of all perversion because she gives birth to so many more.

It’s bizarre. A ‘school’ for training young men to pray? Nonsense.

Praying is the most natural thing in the world. We were created to pray every bit as much as we were created to breathe. We aren’t trained to breathe, nor do we require training to pray.

I remember having, in the ‘Wing’, two Italian priests come into the Common Room; they were introduced to us as ‘prayer experts’. As their talk to a roomful of sems in their late teens and early twenties progressed, I thought: Prayer experts? Aye, right!

The younger of the two priests was clearly feasting on all the fresh eye candy before him. He couldn’t take his eyes off us, nor had he the maturity to do so with at least a modicum of discretion.

Rishi is the best man to be appointed as PM. He’s appointment of Cruella Braverman is an incredible misstep on his first day, MPs are already gunning for him and the party faithful are tearing up their membership cards.
His effect will be oblivion for the Tories, not five years in opposition and back again. Sensible political commentators are giving him six months at the absolute most.
Get more popcorn in.

Ah, Cruella Braverman ! I find it strange that two of the last three / four / five (it’s difficult to keep count) Home Secretaries, she and Priti (not !) Patel, the daughters of people who were welcomed to this country when they needed somewhere safe to live, talk the toughest and most vitriolic talk about immigrants / refugees etc. It’s the “I’m alright, Jack” attitude. Actually, some of the most vocal anti-immigration voices are those who have benefited for their own and their family’s immigration. Having got in to the life boat, they are all for keeping others out. Strange.

Like

This is a strange effect but common. To be fair to Patel, Braverman etc they are cast-iron Tans themselves, but it is unfortunate that they are rabid racists taking no note of their background. The very idea that a progressive country could send refugees to Rwanda for ”processing” is beyond evil. Patel in particular is a nasty piece of work and stupid too – threatening to starve Ireland, while ignoring the basic fact that Ireland feeds Britain, not the other way around.

When allegations of sexual abuse were made public by orphans at Mount Cashel Orphanage in Newfoundland, Canada – Christian Brother Ronald LASIK was moved to a teaching post at Clairvaux Christian Brothers College in Brisbane, Australia. Brother LASIK immediately gained prominence on arrival at Clairvaux College for founding the schools annual rodeo which continues to this day. Former boarder Chris de Brincat says he was targetted by Brother LASIK in 1977 after being left alone in the boarding house when he was sick. The victim also confirms that Brother LASIK was notorious for molesting boys in front of the whole class. Canadian lawyer Geoff Budden KC who represented LASIKs victims from the orphanage has issued a warning to education authorities saying there would likely be dozens more victims coming forward.

I think she was wrongfully arrested, but reading through some of her tweets makes me realise she really isn’t a nice person. The priests she engages with on twitter also seem to be really angry and don’t seem kind at all.
Should her bishop step in and tell her to stop? Are priest’s wives subject to episcopal obedience?

Brother Darcy Fidelis Murphy apparently failed to enquire about Brother LASIKs previous postings. ABC revealed earlier this month that Brother Murphy himself had molested a student in the boarding house at St Brendan’s in 1978. He covered this up using a false confession – a move that allowed him to become deputy headmaster of St Joseph’s Nudgee College in Brisbane years later.

So, this bishop had two guys kneel, starkers, before the Tabernacle and while in confession? This reminds me of that Anglican bishop, Ball.
Are people thick? Didn’t those men think WTF?! No, freakin’ way, Hosea!
Why do people throw common sense to the wind when under a so-called ‘authority figure’ ? Why do they drop their guard? The answer lies in psychology. Somewhere. Not in spirituality.
The most blatant culture for abuse of this kind is precisely what has traditionally, in the Catholic Church, been held up as virtue: ‘holy obedience’. When a person subscribes mentally to this cultic control, he hands himself over to be abused severally.
The only safeguard against this form of human suppression is liberty of personal conscience. But the Catholic Church, from at least the time of Paul, has considered conscience, and the freedom to weigh for oneself the moral prioritisation of choices, a deadly enemy. Sometimes it has been, but not always so.
When an ordinand promises or vows obedience to a bishop, he is surrendering the most precious safeguard he has against moral corruption, of himself and others: his conscience.

NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James today announced a landmark settlement with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo (Buffalo Diocese, the Diocese), resolving a lawsuit filed in November 2020 that alleged the Buffalo Roman Catholic Diocese persistently failed to address the child sexual abuse crisis and systematically evaded the very reforms it publicly adopted nearly 20 years ago for investigating, reviewing, and responding to abuse complaints.
Instead, the Buffalo Roman Catholic Diocese protected accused Roman Catholic sex abuser priests from facing the potential consequences of abuse accusations by quietly removing them from Roman Catholic ministry.

When Bishop Pat gets that call to the heavenly gates the RCC will be well different a Church of the People yes a bit more slim.
The next Pope will continue in Pope Francis teachings a Church for the poor and the downcast and Pat Buckley does that daily.
satan may interfere in the shot term and cardinal Burke arrivives and that will bring all the LMB back then we will be back to the Pope Francis agenda that will continue.
I see Faith in action daily not just money in the SVP box but the people actully speaking to the people on the street it is the way forward a chrch for the people.

Thanks to Bishop Pat many changes take place unknown to him and his Good work is noticed and deep down Bishop Pat is a Catholic at heart and Belives in the Eucharist the centre of our Faith.

Thanks for your comments.
When I saw your comment on Mother Burke as I say to my self ‘oh gawd’. That’s something that I don’t want to see him in cappa magna, just kidding 🤣🤣.
I’m opposed to mother Burke becoming a Pope. The story in his old diocese I think it was wisconin, not sure. But the moral of the story was that church was built and funded by the laity aka ‘sheep’ as some posters here like to call it. When it came to as who really owns that building. It’s polish laity with their monies.
Burke tried to sell the church and take the money but polish laity refused to back down which ended up in surpreme court. It says all the more about Burke. Then he used his favourite means of control such as excommunication to put the fear of God in Polish laity. What kind of Bishop who does that kind of thing? It doesn’t look good from outside perspective.
Thats why I’m opposed to Burke even though he has some irish roots not far from my grandmother place back in early 1900s.
Which is better frankie or Benedict as that’s the matter of debate for Latin Mass adherents? Damian Thompson has a deep loathing for frankie re his videos shocking in the least re Argentina.
At end of the day, both popes covered it up, period. No question.

The parishes belong to the people and not the dioceses or clergy.
When parishes amalgamate or close the buildings and funds go to the new parish.
The so called catholics in Dublin do not want the poorer parishes amalgamated on to them if they have debt or buildings in disrepair.
That’s the so called “good” Catholics.
bishops and Priests are only Managers or CEO as the power if with Diocesan or Parish Finance teams.
Parish levy (10%, 15%, 20% depends on parish) keeps the Bishops and Diocesan staff.

Obviously I can’t speak for Bishop Pat but I will not be having a death bed conversion personally. Should it happen that the threats of cult members of judgement and hell are true, I’ll show their god my arse for him to kiss and he can apologize to me. If anyone’s doing the judging it’s going to be me.
Incidentally I’m from England and if rumours are true hell is heated.

Yes correct re name of that parish church which I couldn’t rem the name, just it was stuffed with polish laity thats what I remembered.
Now you mention the ‘cult’. Mother Burke had used his weapon of control just 4 days after when that church was PACKED on Christmas day.
Then it issued with orders of excommunication on 29th December which was designed to put the fear of God in polish laity in that parish or to keep them in check. That was a specified control measure to keep them IN rather than out. That was one of the characteristics of any cult defintion.
That didn’t work then it went on to supreme court to sort them out as it turns out that Polish laity were the winners.
Any cult expert would tell you this but not myself.

Francois Devaux, founder of victims association La Parole Liberee (Freed Speech) says there has been a betrayal of trust, a betrayal of morale and a betrayal of children in welcoming release of a report last year confirming that some 216,000 children, mostly boys have been sexually abused in the French Catholic Church since 1950. The vast majority were boys aged between 10 and 13. The report found that victims were subjected to institutional cover up and were shown deep, total and even cruel indifference by the French Roman Catholic Church.

Pope Francis accepted the resignation 70 year old Michel Aupetit after media reports emerged of a relationship with a woman plus governance problems in the Archdiocese. Pope Francis drew controversy in stating he had accepted the resignation “not on the altar of truth but on the altar of hypocrisy”.
