THE PUSH TOWARDS SCHISM.

https://www.complicitclergy.com/post_publication/the-remnant/

In his 2018 article in The Remnant, Can the Church Defend Herself Against Bergoglio?, Christoper Ferrara presented the case for bishops to call an imperfect council to remove Bergoglio:

“So what can be done to defend the Church against Bergoglio?  That the mode of papal election by cardinals has persisted for nearly a thousand years has led to the general impression that it pertains to the irreformable divine constitution of the Church, but it certainly does not.  As to matters of purely ecclesiastical law such as this one the Church has always allowed for departures from traditional practice in cases of emergency or grave necessity. And just as a synod was employed to address three rival claimants to the papal throne in 1046, declaring at least two of them deposed, so today might it be possible for reform-minded cardinals and bishops, comprising an imperfect council, to undo the incalculable damage caused by the cabal that lobbied for Bergoglio’s election before the last conclave—a cabal that included none other than McCarrick, whom Bergoglio rewarded by rehabilitating that monster despite the massive evidence of his unspeakable crimes.”

Mr. Ferrara discussed, an imperfect council could address either, or both, of the common grounds for arguing that Bergoglio has lost or never possessed the papacy: because he was not validly elected, or because he has fallen into heresy. As part of its scope, an imperfect council could consider the status of Benedict XVI as well. We who are not bishops do not need to resolve these questions — if faithful bishops gather to discern God’s will in these matters, we can have confidence that God will give them the grace to guide the Church.

The theoretical question of whether bishops can ever call an imperfect council to depose a pope does not depend on historical circumstances — they either can or they cannot, and Mr. Ferrara’s article cites various Catholic authorities in support of the imperfect council as a legitimate option.

Those who accuse Popes of grave errors and grave failings of faith — the papal accusers — often claim that an “imperfect” Ecumenical Council can depose the Pope. Such a Council is not truly Ecumenical, as it exists in opposition to the Roman Pontiff. (Hence the term “imperfect”.) A true Ecumenical Council is the body of Bishops gathered with the visible head of the Church, the Pope. A body without a head is a monster, not an Ecumenical Council “gathered in the Holy Spirit”.

Then the Magisterium clearly teaches that the body of Bishops, even altogether, has no authority in opposition to the Pope. Therefore, so far from judging and deposing the Pope, they cannot even declare that the Pope is a “manifest heretics” and that he ceases to be the Pope by the judgment of God, as some papal accusers claim.

PAT SAYS

There is a massive war being raged just now by the Traditional Mass Catholic Right etc, against Pope Francis and the Vatican.

The more extreme of these people and groups are rejecting the election of Francis as pope.

They are talking about the politicking that went on in the conclave that elected Francis.

There has ALWAYS been politicking as part of papal elections.

Only the most naive of people would believe that God Himself chooses or ever chose popes.

The RCC structure in man made.

Good Catholics get to God in spite of that structure and not because of it.

We know from all the scandals that the RCC is going to get a lot smaller.

Because of schism on the Right and on the Left it is also going to become very divided.

That’s enough bashing our pope.
What’s wrong with you?
What about social workers who are heretics?
Feeling how stupid your ‘arguments’ sound, cathbots?

They are US style MAGATs and Republican types and show the same thinking where the election is fixed unless they win.
To be fair this is the Catholic way anyway, where they always make out they’re persecuted and everybody else is wrong.

There has been a massive war raging for over fifty years now where the liberal lefty’s have done everything they can to water down Catholicism. So that it is unrecognizable to those of us lucky enough to be born before the election of the Hamlet Montini. Now that people are finally taking a stand against them, they are screaming their tits off about the right wing daring to speak out against their far left agenda. They can see their demise, no vocations empty Church’s etc. The Liberal Elite headed by The Supreme Bollox leading them to oblivion down the synodal path will soon be gone and it will be the price of them.

How covienant re Vincentian order omitting cabra schools. 🙈
We have had 5 or 6 Vincentian priests in both cabra schools (boys and girls) over many decades.
To my knowledge and experience with some of these priests but not all of them though.
One Vincentian priest who broke the seal of confession. He was eventually moved to Scotland. Knew that priest quite well.
One priest who had touched deaf girls private parts in confession. So far I know 2 girls now adult woman. Nuns didn’t believe deaf girls at first. It was only later in months or few years later Nuns took action.
Vincentian order knew it for years but they never told the nuns re that priest history. I met him only once very very young as my mum told me to steer well away from him which I didn’t understand it at that time.
One priest who was sent to Cabra cos he preached or talked about Schillebeeckx. He was very very decent priest and quite intelligent. He wouldn’t harm a fly in contrast to some priest/s, who abused kids.
Other 2 or 3 priests were normal Catholic priests who lived their daily lives. There was one priest of 2 or 3 priests, which I thought was very holy and carried sackcloth in a way.

9:57 thank you for sharing your personal insight into Cabra School for the deaf. The ultimate problem is that the culture of the Roman Catholic institution is that it is never going to willingly allow for appropriate or adequate financial compensatory response to provide support therapies for victims and families. The time for the State to take over the liquidation of this Roman Catholic Church blatant abuser of human rights worldwide is long overdue.

Anyone discontented with the typical Roman leadership is not extreme but should regard it as irrelevant. The split is already four way, two of codependent rebels and the middle codependent creeps, all trying to possess the worthless name of Rome, and a ragbag of miscellaneous genuine people biding time to drift to sincerity. Sacraments are communion in nothing or in wrongs.

Oh, really ?! And you think that the likes of Mother Burke, Cordileone, Vigano and the other right wing nitwits have the right to make decisions for the rest of us ? I think that they will find that in the Church and especially amongst the faithful they will be in a severe minority, and if they choose to head off and create an alternative Church then they will find themselves in the wilderness populated by swivel eyed, angry, right wing, so called orthodox, Latin Mass types, whose only concerns are Latin, satin, lace, abortion, homosexuality and anything to do with other peoples’ sex lives and relationships. While turning a blind eye to the rampant hypocrisy in their own midst. They will wither on the vine and die out. Then we can get back to the business of reforming the Church.”

It seems to me that it’s you tasteless lot that are more concerned with Latin , satin and lace. you’re never done mentioning it. While wearing your poly ponchos and wanting to give license to every aberration like abortion, homosexuality. Take the plank out of your own eye at the rampant hypocricy in your midst. What you call the vine is already dying out and you’ve reformed the Church out of existence. But Trardition will restore it to what it was despite the disciples of Satan trying to stop it. My worry about all these right wing orthodox types is that they are precisely the people who would want the Church to coverup anything that might soil the reputation of their perfect Church. And that includes child sexual abuse, which they would ignore and cover up and allow to continue. They are lying, conniving, coverup hypocrites.

In a display of power and hope, family members and secondary survivors of historic clergy abuse have told their stories in an Australian-first book.
It was created by more than 80 Catholic parishioners in Ballarat, the mothers of survivors of abuse who contributed to the quilt between 2010 and 2019. It was envisioned, designed and made by Beryl Andersen and Carmel Moloney.
Carmel Moloneys daughter Adrianne Co-author and collator of the Quilt of Hope book said the book is a powerful companion to the art and a vital step for families and survivors.
The quilt now resides in the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra.

The Church isn’t in schism. VII is an entirely different religion with a core set of beliefs and dogma that aren’t in communion with those of the one true Holy Roman Apostolic Church.
There’s no getting away from it, those baptised into VII are not Catholic. I’m sorry, but that’s the truth.

8.05: Pat, I think we must respect that for many people the Latin Mass is a great spiritual prayer and nourishment for them. In the Church today we know we’ve a big problem in sustaining committed Catholics. Our churches are emptying, an emptying accentuated since the pandemic. There are many spiritual alternatives for people through internet accessibility. Even you will admit that as an alternative to Roman Catholicism your Oratory doesn’t have many adherents. I believe that we do not have the creative imagination any more nor deeply mystical and saintly followers of Christ to truly reengage people with Christian faith and spirituality. There are a few exceptions but largely we are adrift and do not have any inspiring, radical or holy leaders. In a classroom of confirmation children yesterday, I was appalled at their almost complete disinterest in “faith” and “prayer”…Lovely teacher, lovely young children but faith is off their radar. What are we to do? Maybe the men from the Derry gathering will be set on fire by Robert…Watch this space!

ITALY Church Says 600 Sex Abuse Cases Sent To Vatican
” VATICAN CITY (AP) — Italy’s Catholic bishops provided their first accounting of clergy sexual abuse and revealed Thursday that more than 600 cases from Italy were on file at the Vatican since 2000.
The report of the Italian bishops’ conference, which only covered complaints that local Italian church authorities had received over the last two years, did not mention the hundreds of cases. It identified 89 presumed victims and some 68 people accused.” “Nevertheless, the numbers reported by the Italian bishops even in these two past years were significant, said Francesco Zanardi, the head of Rete l’Abuso.
“If in two years they received 89 complaints, that means the problem is there and it’s big,” he said in a telephone interview.” “Zanardi alleged the Italian report was clearly an attempt to “minimize” and cover up the scope of clergy sex abuse in Italy. “It’s shameful. It’s partial and you don’t really know what it’s for,” he said.”
