WHY DOES THE CATHOLIC CHURCH SEVERELY PUNISH “DISOBEDIENT” PRIESTS/ BISHOPS BUT NOT SEXUALLY ABUSIVE PRIESTS AND BISHOPS

PRIEST LAICISED FOR DISOBEDIENCE TO HIS BISHOP.

FR FRANK PAVONE

The American anti abortion priest activist, Frank Pavone, has been laicised by the Vatican for his very rigorous anto abortion campaign. The Vatican said he was laicised for blasphemous statements and disobedience to his bishop.

In a tweet Sunday, Pavone sounded defiant, comparing his fate to that of the unborn.

“So in every profession, including the priesthood, if you defend the #unborn, you will be treated like them! The only difference is that when we are “aborted,” we continue to speak, loud and clear.”

MEANWHILE

RUPNIK

A famous Jesuit of Francis – Fr Marko Rupnik is being protected by Francis and the Vatican…..

….In spite of the fact that

.

1. He sexually assaulted several nuns!

And

2. Gave Confessional absolution to a woman he had sex withfor which he was originally EXCOMMUNICATED!

Pope Francis

Lifted the excommunication!

Stopped the Vatican acting against him!

And invited him to preach at a Vatican retreat day!

Rupnix was also the favourite artist and church restoration man for JP II.

IS DISOBEDIENCE A WORSE SIN THAN CLERICS RAPING / ASSAULTING CHILDREN, WOMEN, MEN, AND NUNS ?

How, in the name of all that is good and holy is disobedience to a man with a special hat, worse than raping children, women, men, and nuns?

The truth is that the RCC regards its clerics as superior and different to all other people and are therefore to be protected at all costs

Women victims, child victims, nun victims, and men victims. are all relatively unimportant, in comparison to priests and bishops.

All cults regard the leader and leadership team as beyond reproach or questioning.

And the led must simply suck it up.

This attitude is absolutely anti-Christian and anti Christ.

And, the Catholic followers choose to close their eyes and keep believing that their buck naked emperors are fully dressed.

The false appearance of obedience is key to how many men got through Maynooth in the last 20 years only to be exposed on this blog. “Yes-men”, saying yes to the likes of Dermot, Hugh and Fanny but doing what they like behind closed doors.

Well Patsy that’s The Supreme Bollox for you. What a disgrace that a priest is suspended for disobedience but nothing done to priests like Rupnik guilty of heinous crimes. Fanny will be called to account for that and a lot more under his disasters pontificate.

I am appalled at the treatment given to Father Pavone. He is a fearless advocate for the unborn child, a powerful communicator and an influential pastor. His crime – being too political and graphic about his anti abortion narratives. I am disgusted at the Mikwauke bishop and others who hounded this man out of ministry. This bastardo of a bishop is a disgrace. His behaviour is shameful, cowardly and vindictive. How can Pope Francis sit with Fr. James Martin, S.J. and revere and affirm him as the great intermediary for the LGBTQ community, tell President Joe (Abortionist) Biden that he’s a good Catholic, protect Rupnik and other criminal abusers, yet dismiss Fr. Pavone from ministry because some nasty bishop disliked him? This dismissal of a well respected priest and influential pro life advocate is a stain on Pope Francis’s conscience. Shame. We must pray for Fr. Pavone. May he continue his ministry with greater courage.

The present top pope has abolished the subsidiarity asserted by the good pope Leo. But, it would surely have been short sighted of anyone – of any views – to assume the Roman clergy to be a secure calling?

Rupnik, rapist, preached to the Papal Household. He is STILL a priest. Who did Fr. Pavone rape again? Few argue that his situation didn’t need intervention—even punishment, but LAICISATION without possibility of appeal? The heavy-handedness reeks of bias.

‘Preach the gospel everywhere you go, if necessary use words’.
On this basis the church teaches that rape and kiddy fiddling are just fine.

Fr Pavone was disrespectful again and again to whoever was his ordinary which merits definite sanction, similarly for his lurid statements on POTUS, lurid actions, all things a priest shouldn’t do, but Fr Rupnik is the latest rapist or sex offender who’s treated with utter gentleness by Pope Francis. PF talks about clericalism but no one is more clericalist. Reading about Rupnik is also to be reminded about how JP2 had a similar stubborn indifference to clerical sexual crime. Sad, disheartening stuff. It never really changes.

Once again, the only explanation which reconciles these contradictory things is if the church is a criminal organization and a scam, running a pretend religion as a front. You’re not supposed to believe the religion except for the marks that maintain the front, and they’re not supposed to give any trouble.

The Romanist Church has never, except in the earliest years, even remotely believed in what it preached.
Love of neighbour, including one’s enemy? The so-called ‘Just War’ put paid to that. So, too, moral approval of capital punishment.
Jesus was uncompromising. (Still is, I expect.) Love of God without love of neighbour is a sham.
Religion here as a front for criminality and self – seeking? Absolutely. And it’s name is’ Romanism’.

Liked by 1 person

Exactly, Anon at 8:50.
But I would like to ask you when you would place the earliest years to which you refer? I personally put the start of the Roman church in the fourth century, and would put the change from religion to scam at some point before the 11th century, when the first reference to abuse as a problem occurs, although it might as well be prehistory because the history has been rewritten to provide the front.
When would you put the change from belief to scam? You may well have historical knowledge I don’t.
Many thanks.

The earliest years of the ‘Assembly’? Primarily within the first century.
Long before the ‘Romanist Church’ began to emerge (Fourth Century), the so-called ‘Church Fathers’ had tilled the soil for it with their authoritarian, rigid theologies.
The more time that passes from a founder’s death (in this case Jesus), the more likely are deviations from his principles. This is precisely what happened in the history of Christianity. The focus largely shifted from Jesus himself to pseudo-authority figures, the episcopate. We have been living with the theological and moral fall-out of this ever since.
But there are now good bodings of a historical inclination to return to those earlier and faithful times. For some, it isn’t happening quickly enough, and they have left the Church.
It may never happen entirely, though, because the episcopate is determined, at all costs, to retain its power and self-aggrandisement.

Thank you for a considered reply. Interesting that you would put the start of the deviation even earlier than I would!

We are only human. Why do you hold clergy in such higher regard than parishioners? That you expect our human behaviour to be different or better? When I was accused of sexual assault, and later cleared (because the 17yo man admitted it was consensual), it was awful being tarnished as a sexual predator and paedo, innocent until proven guilty, most clergy are good men.

I don’t know all the inns and outs of the relationship or lack of it between Pavone and his bishop. However, even though Pavone and his type claim to be slavishly loyal to Church teaching, so often these people are monochrome, tunnel vision, culture war warriors who push Church teaching to its extreme limits and distort the truth by doing so. Just claiming that you are saying just what the Church teaches does not necessarily mean that you are faithful to that teaching. We see this all the time, most especially in the USA where the Church is riven, currently headed by this kind of culture war warriors who obsess about moral and sexual issues such as sexuality, sexual behaviour, relationships, marriage, contraception, abortion, and most recently their current favourite, gender issues. There is little of balance or nuance in most of what these conservative, right wing culture warriors say and do. They are divisive and they are angry. I don’t call that being faithful to the teaching of the Church. So, whatever the discussions between Pavone and his bishop, I suspect that Pavone has been intransigent, arrogant and disobedient, and has given his bishop little or no choice. I suspect also that there are probably other issues in this, and you will eventually discover that Pavone is not the paragon of virtue that he claims to be.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. To get laicized for disobedience means that disobedience has been something serious.

WRONG! That old chestnut means nothing in law in Ireland, sadly it is likely to be one of the unfortunate reasons sexually abused/ raped VICTIMS don’t complain.
There is also the abuse of power by the rapist if in a position of authority..
Obviously, Roman Catholic teaching does not come into your equation.
Section 2 of the Criminal Law (Rape) (Amendment) Act 1990 sets out the law in Ireland on sexual assault.
A sexual assault is an indecent assault on a male or a female. The maximum sentence is 10 years imprisonment or 14 years if the victim is aged under 17 years.
Defilement of a child aged under 17 years
Section 3 of the Criminal Law (Sex Offences) Act 2006 (pdf) as amended by Section 5 of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) (Amendment) Act 2007 (pdf) makes it a criminal offence to engage or attempt to engage in a sexual act with a child under 17 years. The maximum sentence is five years, ten years if the accused is a person in authority

Like

Queenievenus, you would think the clergy were intimately acquainted with those acts, but as we know they’re far keener on blaming the victim than justice.
Incidentally if the original comment you’re replying to was a troll one it merely indicates that rape is a matter of joking to them.

They are all liars, anyone that commits to celibacy is already lying to their own biological need for intimacy. It is unnatural. It is, when thought about precisely, utterly insane for any man or woman to choose it as a way of life. Homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual or otherwise. I can understand why an asexual person would be enticed by it, but that sexuality is in a vast minority amongst the population.
