50 Homosexual Italian Priests Come Out.

50 homosexual Italian priests have published a letter denouncing the “internalized homophobia” of the Church, announcing they “no longer want to hide.” The letter, titled “Con tutto il cuore” – With all my heart – first circulated discreetly, before being picked up by the left-leaning Italian daily Domani, followed by the Spanish publication Público.

The letter denounces the existence of “plans” aimed at eliminating all allusion to homosexuality in the seminaries and at promoting an empty sexual morality there. It adds, in a grotesque way, that this attitude finds an echo in traditionally Christian countries, such as Italy or Spain, where there is collaboration between the ecclesiastical hierarchy and the political extreme Right.

The authors speak of the hatred of the gay world inoculated in the seminaries, and of the “social prejudices” scattered through even the latest Vatican documents, with an almost obsessive reference to “gender ideology,” which has multiplied since Giorgia Meloni’s rise to power.

PAT SAYS

The ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH is going to have to be rational and consistent on the whole question of homosexuality in general and among its bishops and clergy in particular.

The RCC stance on homosexuality is irrational, anti-scientific, anti-medical, and even against proper Biblical interpretation.

The fact that the RCC is anti homosexuality and that most of its recent popes, bishops, and priests are gay – and actively gay – is quite simply bizarre.

ARGENTINE EX PRIEST’S MESSAGE TO FRANCIS

The RC church can’t be rational about anything, when it’s built on the idea of a supposed virgin conceiving. It’s always going to be against nature and make out that its twisted world view comes from God.

Liked by 1 person

@ 11.58: the supposed virginal conception myth is not unique to Christianity. The same trope features in other forms of religious belief systems predating Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism for example.

Lots of parallels too with Christianity’s alleged origins. Google searching for example, shows that 2000 years BC, a virgin Egyptian queen gave birth to a Pharaoh after being informed that the god Kneph had impregnated her while holding the symbol of life, a cross to her mouth. And three Kings celebrated the birth by offering gifts.
There’s lots more similar beliefs if you care to look them up.
Then sit back and examine the likelihood of the Christian beliefs being true, especially given how its supposed acolytes, the RC clerics have developed their peculiar form of religion.

MMM And it’s striking how the supposed natural law features so highly in that peculiar form of religion, while the religion’s own clergy show that next to nobody can live that natural law!

Bishop Buckley,
The clear and simple teaching of our church is that homosexuality is a disordered state and that homosexual genital activity is sinful. AMEN End of story. I wonder how many of this spurious group of 50 unnamed Italian priests are real., and how many of them are lustful gays who want to have their cake (cock) AND EAT IT. If they are real people they should get out of the priesthood forthwith. Such individuals have destroyed the church from within and need to be expelled. The Holy Father should be ruthless in removing such perverts from ministry. We need holy priests, balanced in all things and not obsessed by other men’s genitals.

But – why not expect groupies to develop their own sense of balance in their personal responsibilities instead of overburdening dated concepts of vague legitimacy.
They need to emotionally detach from (among others) any geezer who says one thing one day and another thing the next. What that does for their housing or income they should have puzzled out beforehand.

That so-called teaching is neither clear nor simple. In fact, it’s not even teaching. It’s a travesty. Modern psychology and medicine are the places to find the foundations of the churches struggle to come to terms with human sexuality.

Like

12:38 If the Holy Father carried out the proper clear out of deviants that you suggest, there would be few clergy left.

The Roman Catholic Church is such a dishonest institution. Clergy condemn homosexuality in public yet stalk and abuse seminarians who find themselves compromised and hierarchy favour and promote compliant younger gay companions. No wonder they are so defensive, living a lie and covering each other’s butts.

Good for them, these 50 homosexual priests are correct to call out the hypocrisy exercised from the top down on this subject. Who is going to call out the financial hypocrisy about the manic levels of incessant fundraising engaged in 24/7 & whilst the RCC fails to acknowledge or redress victims, survivors and their families worldwide & new cases continue to emerge on a daily basis because anyone involved in RCC appears to be addicted to abuse, fraud, crime and criminality at some level. The first step to recovery is admitting the problem and it is reasonable to concur that this won’t happen.

I think this has as much to do with the recent rise to power of Meloni and her right wing government and party, which has sinister undertones of homophobia. I guess there are reflections of that in the Church, although in the Vatican the whiff of homoeroticism is stronger than any incense or male perfume that the pezzi grossi wear there, although given that they are largely self-denying, self-loathing, and angry it is no surprise that they inflict their venom on those who remind them of themselves.
“The letter denounces the existence of “plans” aimed at eliminating all allusion to homosexuality in the seminaries and at promoting an empty sexual morality there.” Really ?! Well, they need to come visit our seminaries and experience the strong homoeroticism which exists there, reinforced by prissiness, clerical dressing, over interest in rubrics and liturgy and vestments, secret names and relationships……… All of it hidden, supposedly, and discreet, supposedly, but anyone with a half functioning gaydar will pick it up in staff and seminarians. So, as far as I can see, homosexuality is alive and kicking in our seminaries.

And how does one explain Christian’s believing all that completely irrational farrago spouted out by their clergy?
Perhaps the emotional pull of the insecure seeking a comfort blanket, when combined with childhood indoctrination and clerical threats of damnation push any rational evaluation of the validity of religious belief well into the background.
And, as in crime, “Cui bono?”
No prizes for guessing!

It is time for the Holy Father Francis to dismiss ALLfrom the Clerical state that cannot stand up to their vows and this is even if they are Straight, Bi or Gay they know what they signed up to.
The hypocrites need dismissed as it is difficult for us who have to investigate these hypocrites and more so the ones who have the adorsity to preach to others and families how they should live.
I have NO difficulty with anyones sexuality and think the RCC Church needs to look at this area given many have the upset of being who they are so yes we should be an inclusive organisation.
I will never forget the parents who were annoyed that their Son was Gay and the PP says he will go to hell and this was the same Priest who had a partner thankfully the Bishop finally moved him on.
The day of judgement is not going to be how many candles did yoou light, how many times were you at Mass NO the question will be did you Love you Neighbour and care for the less fortunate that is the God we believe in a God of LOVE.

I totally agree. This would leave only a very few priests who happen to have a very low sex drive and the saxraments would effectively be ended.

This is where some of the gay members of the ACP could take a stand, one prominent spokesperson stood on the pulpet of his parish church in support of the equal marriage refforendrum, Big mick was a member of the ACP.
What must be acknowledged is that homosexuality is creating huge problems in the church.
There was good reason why it is banned from the armed forces, it leads to a breakdown in discipline and undermines the chain of command, this is even more the case in the heretical roman church, there it is truly EVIL,as we continually see in the various scandals, as seen on this weeks blog.
The ACP say they want married priests, women priest, very populist, and then they sneak in opitinal celibacy, but that just a back door for gays to continue enter the church.
This group ACP needs to be challenged and exposed for what their really about.

The lack of ‘mini shrines of lourdes or fatima thereof on the roads or side roads in Denmark was striking and stunning in contrast to Ireland. I was thinking, has Ireland gone over the top, quite literally or quite too far re BVM’ little shrines ‘.

Its totally devoid of any BVM or JC shrines here in Denmark had me thinking of one such as ‘Queen of heaven’. I was puzzled re this one. It refers her as a goddess, period. Still rcc calls her as goddess cos Queen of heaven, Queen of universe, Queen of priests, 👸et al.

It sounded pagan to me, what do you think 🤷‍♀️

Rcc has a schizo attitude towards anything ranging from sex to gay sex while at the same time, they were doing their debauchery lifestyles inside that nobody could see it.

Also they have millions in their bank accounts but still they WANT ourselves to continue to contribute cash on weekly Sunday cash collections. Who are they fooling us? Who in their right mind, would contribute it cos stash of cash is piling up on weekly basis.

Remember it’s a charity as they don’t have to pay taxes. Also its difficult to trace cash as well. Plus to fund their debauchery lifestyle as well. There is a terminology in Wall Street that I visited, they called it as ’empire building, buttessing their power of influence, or demonstrate their power. Bishops all over the world are in one way or another are’ empire building ‘.

Think of BLING treanor or another BLING Bishop in 🇩🇪. They were using our monies to fund their’ empire building ‘. They got away umpteen times without any accountability.

Finally its OUR monies that bishops are using to fund their lifestyles or do up their property or do revamp their interior kitchen et al. It’s plainly wrong as they as bishops should be held into account.

I wondered when will rcc Ireland reach 1% of total population just like Denmark did.

Deaf Guy, one of the the reasons Protestantism looks so different to RCism is they have explicitly rejected all of the aspects which they perceive to have come from paganism. If you look online (I just googled ‘catholicism is baptised paganism’ and got loads of relevant results, you find loads of pages by RCs saying this isn’t true. Which is how we know it is.
I think we can truthfully say that all three main monotheistic religions have a fractured relationship with the pagan contexts they were formed in and survivals from paganism in their own cults.
A comparison for the statues you talk about might be the Hindu gods prevalent in India.

The Roman Catholic priesthood is a gay profession with many practising both their Catholicism and their Homosexuality.
If a priest comes out as gay he should be laicised immediately – because the orientation publicly professed is contrary to Catholic morality.
In the closet is fine – hypocrisy and homosexuality are as old as man and is the first rule of the closet.
Adam and Steve would extinct the human race – a gay clergy will extinct the priesthood and then we will realise who needs them.

There is an awful lot of talk on here regarding sex, be it homosexual or heterosexual, no doubt in early life we are nearly all, influenced by those strong powerful hormones, for the obvious reason of procreation.
What is rarely mentions is the loneliness of being celibate, or living on one’s own, through forced celibacy, is it any wonder it is so difficult to carry out, and humans will seek love, physical touch, companionship, and sex in any which way that’s available. For instance in same sex prisons, persons who claim to be heterosexual will avail of homosexual activity.

Celibacy and loneliness is a total myth. Some people relish living alone and some don’t. You can equally be be/feel alone within a marriage. Cut this crap about loneliness only reserved to celibates. Some people like me prefer the lonely life. Spare me from the hypocrisy of Christmas, buying gifts for people you don’t necessarily like from money you don’t necessarily have. It’s ok to be lonely and a scrooge if you choose to be that way. Live and let live. Worry about your own Christmas and leave the rest of us alone.

I agree. Its nice to be with people you love and its also nice to be on your own when you can read a good book or listen to soothing music or go for alovely walk in the woods and breathe in the oxygen of fresh air. I wish everyone on the blog a very peaceful christmas. A big thank you to Pat for running an interesting blog world and opening our eyes to a lot of things. Deaf guy please come back as you have interseting things to say .

No doubt Pat, you are preparing some notes for your homily for tonight and tomorrow. I wish you well and also God’s peace and blessings. I think it’s rather unfortunate that on this EVE of Christmas when we celebrate the birth of Christ, God-with-us, you have allowed your band of adherents express very vicious, nasty and most unchristian comments about priests. While you rightly shine light into dark places, the constant need each day to find fault with clerics is regrettable, today above all days…It’s your life’s hobby and though you are to be admired, the narrative for today is worth discussing and needs discussion and debate, but your commenters have used your blog to repeat what they said yesterday, last week and many, many times. I am surprised that any of them might even consider attending a Catholic Church for Christmas, such is their disdain. I should imagine that if they were truly courageous about RENEWAL, your Oratory should be overflowing tonight and tomorrow!! God bless all genuine followers of Christ and you too, Pat.
