RAPED 3 TIMES BY A HOLY GHOST PRIEST IN DUBLIN – 3RD RAPE WAS PUNISHMENT FOR REPORTING FIRST TWO !!!

ALSO

https://www.irishtimes.com/video/video/2022/11/16/blackrock-college-past-pupils-recount-experiences-of-abuse/

They were the respected teachers and priests who were secretly preying on young boys at schools run by the Spiritans order.

One priest who sexually abused pupils was praised as being someone who “got very close to children”, who “cared for problem students” and “threw himself wholeheartedly” into his work at Blackrock College, Dublin.

Fr Gerard Hannan, who died in 1990, sexually assaulted a student after taking him into his office under the pretence that he was concerned for his welfare.

Yet on his death he was praised as someone who acted as an “unofficial counsellor” and was “particularly caring for problem students, who found him very approachable and understanding”.

The late Fr Tom O’Byrne, Fr Senan Corry and Fr Patrick Aloysius Flood, who have been at the centre of multiple sexual abuse allegations, are also included in a book that pays tribute to late members of the order.

SEX ABUSING PRIESTS AT BLACKROCK COLLEGE

PAT SAYS

The sexual abuse of boys at Blackrock College and in schools run by the Holy Ghost – now Spiritan Order – is as evil as you will find anywhere.

Another equal evil is the cover-up of this abuse by the Holy Ghost superiors.

And yet, this order is still allowed by the State to run schools.

And parents are still sending their children to these Spiritan schools?

Another sad example of the Catholic “turkeys” still voting for Christmas for them and their children!

Fergus Finlay can bash the Catholic Church all he likes but he needs to aim some blows at the Protestant churches.
Fergus Finlay said: “The Catholic Church ruled us — formed our attitudes, told us what we were allowed to think.”
Not Derek Leinster in the Bethany Home, sent to a dysfunctional family that abandoned him, it didn’t; not the children farmed out as labour from the age of five by the Nursery Rescue Society, it didn’t; not the children emotionally, sexually, and physically abused in Smyly’s Homes, it didn’t; not the Westbank Orphanage children transformed into professional orphans and paraded around church and Orange halls in Northern Ireland, it didn’t.
The misogyny and abuse Finlay writes about were not the preserve of the Catholic Church. Protestants got their fair share, too, in equivalent institutions, like the ones mentioned above.
It was a level sectarian playing field, with both Protestant and Catholic infants dying alone, separate and “unwanted”.
Dr Winslow Sterling Berry, the then government’s deputy chief medical advisor, visited Bethany Home three times in 1939.
State inspectors and the Rathdown Board of Guardians had blamed Bethany Home for death and neglect.
Sterling Berry, who was the son of the Anglican bishop of Killaloe, merely said: “It is well recognised that a large number of illegitimate children are delicate and marasmic from their birth.”
Sterling Berry said that the issue would resolve itself if Bethany Home stopped admitting, and trying to convert, Catholic mothers. Bethany stopped and the death rate shot up again, but no one paid any attention.
Underneath the “level playing field” were the bodies of children, martyrs to misogyny and Christian (not merely Catholic) hypocrisy.
Finlay can bash the Catholic Church all he likes, but he should be ecumenical and aim some blows at Protestant churches as well.

I see a lot of anger there. Unfortunately the constitution still affords a great deal of space to Religious bodies to self-regulate. But certainly 3 things need to happen immediately,
1. No entity (religious of other wise) should be allowed organise themselves as both a company and a charity. This is disingenuous.
2. There should be compulsory purchase of real estate assets from religious bodies who need to pay up their abuse bills – and the compulsory price discounted by monies due.
3. Religious bodies should sit on par with all other lobby groups, with church ranks being unrecognised by the government. I.e. dermot farrell should be treated equal to the ordinary PAYE man struggling on the street.

Like

@11am
Well said. In the eyes of the State the churches should be just lobby groups. But compulsory purchases should also be discounted by the high State investment into facilities such as the investment into schools and hospitals which typically belong to the Church in one form or another.

Child abusing clergy, bareback riding Abbots, layby, toilet and al fresco cruising priests, cross dressing traddies, and now beach masturbating school chaplains……
You know, if I were a Bishop, I would be asking myself: “What is it about my clergy that sees them acting out these behaviours”. It happens too often to clergy for this question to be avoided. Yes, I know it happens amongst other sections of the population, but the clergy are a group that insist on telling us that they are called to a higher vocation and that they have some sort of sacramental grace and ontological difference by virtue of ordination. So, why do they get up to this malarky ?
I think it is clear to many of us, following the insights we have been given over the last few decades in to the training, background, behaviours and culture of the clergy, that there is something seriously amiss and adrift about this group of people. it is clear that there is a deep dysfunction at the emotional and psycho-sexual level, which has much to do with the clerical and insitutionalised culture in which they have been trained and live. There is a clear anomaly at work here.
So, dear Bishops, please ask yourself these questions and don’t be afraid to come up with some pretty radical solutions. As a starter for one, except for those who are clearly called to a life of celibacy (and there will be very few of those), stop shoehorning everybody who feels they are called to priesthood in to mandatory celibacy and let these men live lives that are emotionally, psychologically, affectively and sexually healthy. I guarantee that will solve a huge part of the problems that come across your desk, because your priests will be happier, more settled and healthier as a result of a settled and loving home life, as well as being more aligned to the realities of life as lived by the vast majority of us. I could go on, and talk about a root and branch review of the theology behind priesthood which underpins a rotten clerical culture; I could talk about a wider rethink and appreciation of the gift of sexuality in all its manifestations and orientations; I could talk about a new understanding of gender and the gifts that women bring to the Church and would bring to priesthood and ministry…..
However, for now, I would be content with the first matter – mandatory celibacy. You would very quickly find that you won’t be having to deal with – well, you know the list …..child abusing clergy, bareback riding Abbots, layby, toilet and al fresco crusing priests, cross dressing traddies, and even beach masturbating school chaplains…… Surely, you would like that ?!

It was heartbreaking to see how much David Ryan and his brother are still suffering when they appeared on the Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy. Just dreadful, how could anyone treat children or anyone like that. Their female friend recalled their shock when the priest they reported was back in the college shortly afterward & took his evil revenge. The RC is a hopeless & lost cause, as we see from the church types that vent daily on this blog & elsewhere they will never learn, they are only interested in censoring the truth and taking revenge on victims and they’re families. Evil backstabbers.

11:49 saw that, the family were not informed that the abusive priest was returning to Blackrock College – that would have provided them with the opportunity to remove their children or take the matter up in advance with the Gardai. More deliberate endangerment by a RCC run school. This gave priest opportunity to avenge the child for “telling”, he told him so when he raped him again on return to his post. This is awful stuff and criminal behaviour by the Spirtans, even if it is from some years ago. It was being replicated in so many Church institutions all over the country. While the specifics of the abuse may have changed over the decades and by and large such abuse of young people in Church care no longer happens on such an industrial scale, it strikes me that many of the underlying tendencies which brought about this abuse are still alive and kicking in the present day Church and amongst clergy. A sense of aloofness, being unaccountable, being able to exercise power and authority over people because of position, being able to rely on a clerical boys’ club that will minimise your crimes and protect you, being part of a clerical culture and lifestyle that is toxic, dysfunctional and harmful – all of these things are still alive and kicking. We see this reality laid out day in and day out in this blog – just recently in the saga of Egan and JPL, as well as in the life of the bully boy Pell (not found guilty but huge amounts of matter to suggest that he was not the paragon of virtue that he claimed to be) – where there is evident and clear behaviour that is questionable, damaging and even criminal. One does wonder if JPL had lived 50 years ago what havoc he would have been able to cause in an institutional setting with his predilections and dysfunction, rather than the days homing in on young adults under the influence of alcohol who at least are able to extricate themselves from his tentacles. However, the same pathways are being followed as in the past, especially in the aftermath and the coverup that we see in Egan’s willingness to continue to retain him and support him. Why ? So, much has changed for the better, yes, but much of the underlying malaise of the clerical culture and behaviour is still active, and will continue to cause mayhem and damage to people. And, the clerical perpetrators like JPL will still get an easy ride. Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose……as the French say !

Sounds about right. Pell is from that muscular christianity school of thought and life, and in Australia it was taken to its extremes. Hard living, hard drinking and smoking, and a hard life for those unfortunate young ones who came under their so called care. Pell would have laughed off Risdale’s, his mate’s, abuse and seen it as a matter for the confessional rather than for protecting the vulnerable. I can just see it, late at night, through the smoke haze and the fog of booze. It was the attitude in many a presbytery and religious house community room, as well as in episcopal palaces. They were all complicit in minimising and excusing what was going on as just priestly pranks. However, now they can all be expected to be called to account and called out, which is one of the great things this blog does. It will be read by many an old priest worried that the criminal antics of his past might crop up. Hopefully they will at some point, but until then I hope that it gives them sleepless nights.

Those complicit in cover up should also be held to account. Bishops and their associates around the world have been consistently refeathering the nests of abusive clergy providing them with new opportunities to abuse unsuspecting and vulnerable victims in new locations. The role that those laity and clergy who spread false rumours to suit church narrative, proactively intrude into personal lives of victims and their families to facilitate harrassment and intimidation to prevent truths being revealed on church matters should not be underestimated and should be accountable.

Golias Hebdo, a Catholic weekly based in Lyon, France, published a four-page investigation on the matter, including details of letters between the alleged victim, Quebec Cardinal Gérald Lacroix and Pope Francis.

According to the letters, Lacroix first wrote to Francis in September 2020 to alert the pontiff about the claim against Ouellet. Lacroix then later wrote to the claimant, named by the magazine as “Marie,” in June 2021 to inform her of the outcome of an investigation into the matter ordered by Francis.

Pat, Elsie is trying to squeeze the sick and retired clergy fund and push the old geezers into Presbyteries with clergy who don’t want, like and/or resent their presence. I know a retired priest in Westminster who says Elsie wants to ransack the funds and I thought Elsie would be too diplomatic for that carry on. We heard from your sources in Portsmouth that bishop Egan wants to raid the sick/retired fund. An elderly priest in Brum has said that Longley wants to do similar with the Johnson fund and effectively give less financial support to retired men who are on their uppers. To do this or think about doing it in light of a cost of living crisis is callous and not Christian. These funds are separate funds provided specifically by lay folk for that purpose. The big American fundraising merchants who made a fortune from them English and Welsh dimwits advertised that parts of the money raised was to assist the sick and retired clergy old timers. It was Portsmouth who first let them get a foot in the door and the other suckers then got drawn in and led astray. For the English bishops to seek now to plunder them private funds is despicable. I wonder if those who will be affected have any recourse to anyone Pat? I also wonder if HQ in Roma know what they are doing? I think the foot soldiers should kick up.

12:43 ignorant comment. It has been proved by medical experts that autism is NOT vaccine related. my sister had her babies during the years when all the scaremongering about the triple vaccine was in the media so she paid to have all 4 of her children receive the MMR vaccine as three separate injections spaced out and 2 of her four children were diagnosed with autism in the early years of primary school. She now works in that field and there is absolutely zero credible evidence that the triple vaccine is responsible for autism or any other condition.

Goodness the comments are vituperative already today. I would hypothesise that a bunch of priests are annoyed at having to get up and do the little work they do all week on a Sunday. Some are forced to leave the bars and saunas in the early hours, and the others forced to leave their boyfriends in bed in the morning. They therefore deal with their annoyance by going on Bishop Buckley’s blog, find he’s drawing attention to yet another Catholic clerical nutter, and berate him for being a nutter himself. What’s the matter, Fathers, annoyed that one of your fraternity gets to jet around preaching his barmy message?

The gospels were apparently written 20-110 years after Christ’s death,
the rest of the New Testament, the four gospels were written in Greek. The Gospel of Mark probably dates from c. AD 66–70,
Matthew and Luke around AD 85–90, and John AD 90–110.
Despite the traditional ascriptions, all four are anonymous and most scholars agree that none were written by eye witnesses.
I imagine lots of poetic licence was taken with no eyewitnesses alive from that time of Christ to contradict what was being written, or, set the records straight, what was truth and, what was fictitious, they were written in Greek, lots can be lost in translation, who know who’ gospel we are reading………………….? Your guess is as good a mine.

Whatever way one looks at it these phoney priests are doing nothing to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nor are their bishops/cardinals who remain silent and allow these things to pass. The first time I was raped I got hiv, I do not want sympathy as it does not have an impact on my life and I am undetectable. But for others unfortunate to live in a country where they can not avail of sick treatment, then that slippery piece of rubber can make a life changing impact on them.

Is Eugene O’Hagan’s 4 bedroom house on the serpentine road being used to house refugees? Will Paddy Walsh’s vacant house be used. Look at the multi room presbyteries in Belfast occupied mostly by one priest(and their lovers). Will these be used? Will bishop Blings sumptuous and decadent palace be used ?
