HANDBAGS AT DAWN – CARFIN GROTTO.

CHRISTOPHER MORRIS AND HOLY TOALY
CARFIN GROTTO

FROM OUR SCOTTISH PRIEST CORRESPONDENT

CHRISTOPHER MORRIS –

Despite his history and in the face of opposition from victims, priests, and people, Holy Toaly decided to ordain Christopher Morris.

After 3 parish priests refused to take him as their curatet, he was gladly accepted by the equally aggressive Fr Jim Grant at the National Marian Shrine of Carfin.

FATHER JIM GRANT

Well that didn’t last long…

Within weeks of his arrival parents and parishioners were so  concerned by Christopher’s behavior, attitude and language that they reported him to the Parish Priest and Diocese.

Only months after Frs Grant and Christopher moved in a young residential musical director, it seems there has been a “lovers tiff.” Clearly, Christopher doesn’t take no for an answer and will not share.

Fr Grant has ordered Christopher out of the Presbytery and informed Holy Toaly that he wants him moved on.  Holy Toaly is reluctant to move Christopher because it will look bad on him.

Christopher is currently on leave and we await the next development

PATRICIA MCKEEVER AND CATHOLIC TRUTH SCOTLAND

PATRICIA MCKEEVER

Patricia McKeever of Catholic Truth Scotland has been campaigning about Christopher Morris and Bishop Toal’s decision to retain him as a seminarian and ordain him:

Editor shares extracts from two messages which dropped into her inbox earlier this week…
Diocese of Motherwell – Ordination of Christopher Morris takes place today…

If you want to know how arrogant, deviant and dismissive the hierarchy are of the People of God just look at Motherwell Cathedral this Thursday [30 June, 2022] when Bishop Toal ordains Christopher Morris who is predatory and deviant. So much for victims and safeguarding.

A man reported during his time in Rome for cruising, attending gay bars, psychologically, physically and sexually bullying numerous fellow seminarians – for which reason the staff threw him out in no small part thanks to Catholic Truth.

Ed This is a reference to my approach to the seminary rector some years ago, when Morris attended the Scots College in Rome. Christopher phoned me at the time and assured me that he understood that his behaviour had to change; he presented himself as contrite. Thus, his name was omitted from our reports into the the extent of homosexuality within the Church in Scotland, at that time. My more recent attempts to contact him have failed.  All approaches have been ignored. Wherever did that sweet-talkin’ laddie go? Seems to have disappeared into the Motherwell Mist…  Never mind; I will be praying for him today – and for the faithful souls who will be placed into his [whatdyimacallit] pastoral care.  God help us all.

Despite advice from Christopher’s numerous victims, seminary and diocesan staff and his presbyterate for some reason Bishop [Toal] is still ordaining him. There will be few diocesan clergy present but as many protestors and of course most diocesan clergy are refusing to welcome him into their parishes…  End of extracts.

Another fine Scottish homosexual mess…….

FATHER JIM GRANT

Yesterday afternoon, in an effort to get an insight into Fr Grant, I watched this video.

All these overdressed and over paid twats are arrogant, always have been but you can read all about them now on the internet so they cannot get away with lying up to the faces of the religious people that were previously taken in by them. I have a nice little altar in my sitting room now and I light a candle and say my own prayers.

To be honest, he hasn’t been around the parish much. Between long holidays and doing other stuff, he and Fr Grant have kept out each others way.

What amazes and amuses me in equal measure is not the controversial ordination of Christopher Morris, but that anyone today is credulous enough to take these pantomime dames seriously. Just look at them: they are a preposterous and useless anachronism who love preening and parading themselves while falling into increasing and tedious irrelevance; the show is a massive flop, but they are too inebriated on self-importance to notice or care. Few give the proverbial about them; in fact, it’s death by a thousand sniggers. Quite literally, they have gone from the sublime to the irredeemably and risibly absurd.

Anon@7:21. Well said, and so true.
I particularly like your phrase “death by a thousand sniggers.”
It’s noticeable how many commentators now speak of organised religion in derisory terms, and the RCC in particular. The internet and media exposure has increased individuals tendency to consider the extent to which the flimsy evidence for the practice of religion has any sound foundation or beneficial outcomes. When the manifest abuses of clerics are added, it’s no wonder many have abandoned formal religious practices to seek meaning to their lives elsewhere.

More power to you Maggie Kelley in finding your own expression of spirituality.

This story of Morris is very familiar. It chimes with the Portsmouth imbroglio about Power Bottom John Paul Lyttle. Their respective bishops ordained them in spite of all the alarm bells the were being rung and people telling the bishops not to ordain them. Which they characteristically and arrogantly dismissed and went ahead anyhow. Then a little while down the line the two newly ordained priests hit the buffers, sharing much of the same sexual predatory modus operandi and hitting on young men who do not welcome their advances. Morris will disappear for a while and a huge amount of money will be spent on supporting him and paying for whatever ‘treatment’ he embarks on. Then he will quietly reappear and after a short while the behaviour will repeat itself. It’s the PB JPL story repeated. You would do well, + Pat, to keep an eye on this situation and alert us to what is happening. It is only when people like you, us and this blog keep on pressure will arrogant and self-willed bishops do what is the obvious – show this guy the door !

Your Correspondent is up to mischief again! The parish bulletin suggests otherwise:
‘Fr Christopher
Bishop Toal has asked Fr Morris to move to Airdrie to look after three parishes where the parish priest, Fr Bill Bergin, (formerly of St Teresa’s, Newarthill), is at present quite ill and unable to fulfil any duties. The parishes are Saint David’s Plains, St Mary’s, Caldercruix and St Dominic’s, Greengairs.
Fr Morris is away this weekend at an ordination in Salford when he returns, he will take up his new position in Airdrie.
We bid him farewell and thank him for all that he has done for us here in Carfin since he arrived last August and wish him every blessing in this new ministry. Carfin’s loss is Airdrie’s gain.’
And the resident organist was there before Fr Christopher moved in!

Well, the Fr Jim Grant video only goes so far. Yes, he makes a good point about the adaptability of FX in preaching the gospel in order to reach out to all people, but his only suggestion for applying that in our age is that we use the means of technology which we have access to. Strange. That’s simply a practical means of reaching out. What really reaches people is the attitudes and the message that is preached. I’d like to have heard him talk about the Church’s attitude to those it vilifies and excludes, even though its chief members itself – bishops and clergy – are clearly part of that group. He says nothing about women and their role in the Church and how they are the mainstay of any community. He says nothing about rooting out evils which have wounded the Church by a thousand cuts, mostly inflicted by bishops and clergy and their crimes. He says nothing about a Church mindset that obsesses itself with the intimacies of peoples’ lives and relationships. If he’s going to engage with a new evangelisation, then he could be usefully saying something about those things. But, he doesn’t. So, only as good as far as it goes. Could do better.

My family, close friends and I would never trust a priest or the kind of people they keep around them after all the awful things that have been coming out for years now. One never knows what these outwardly pious types have going on. The church have both the connections and the money to cover it all up. It’s all been done before and it’ll always be done again where they get the opportunity. Toxic haters of anyone who rightly shines a torch on their decades long abuse and corruption that has proved so very lucrative for them, a real money spinner, selling babies, making unpaid slaves of unmarried mothers often impregnated by rich employer friends & family of local priests & priests themselves and it all twisted to exploit the orphan and and mother. This blog is doing great work and honest people have seen for themselves for years now how the church tries to manipulate people anywhere that they can. No more, younger generations don’t care about these bad fakes pretending to be something they are not.

Like

I’ve said it before here and so have many others; the RCC should be removed from the charity list and put on the criminal organizations lists.

It is beyond farce that an organization can continue to operate when it has such immediate safeguarding concerns today, never mind its appalling history of abuse, violence, thievery and corruption of government.

Young people simply don’t care – they are too busy trying to turn a copper to pay extortionate rent and mortgages while getting drunk and laid (the last two are perfectly normal). The RCC in general is hardly on 5% of young people’s minds.

So Bishop Toal, who was the bishop with responsibility for safeguarding for 10 years is sending a newly ordained priest with a history of inappropriate sexual behaviour and bullying to cover three parishes by himself? Interesting that Jim Grant has fallen out with his curate , he seems to have a habit of falling out with folk. Not so long ago since he sacked the two plonkers from Sancta Famillia. WHAT HAVE THE JESUITS DONE ABOUT RUPNIK? A TIMELINE

By Hannah Brockhaus
“The Society of Jesus said Feb. 21 it had received 15 credible accusations of abuse against Father Marko Rupnik and would be taking steps to begin an internal procedure against the Jesuit priest and artist. The process could result in disciplinary actions up to and including the 68-year-old Rupniks expulsion from the Jesuit order. In the Feb. 21 declaration, Rupniks superior, Father Johan Verschueren, said, “I feel it is my duty to deal seriously with this case and others like it that have arisen and are arising, out of respect for, and in protection of, truth and justice for all parties involved.”
