This week’s latest RORY COYLE SCANDAL places the spotlight more on EAMON MARTIN than it does on RORY “CLAPHAM FEELERS” COYLE.

Rory Coyle has been behaving like a male harlot from ancient Rome – but, but, but, Eamon Martin, who should know a lot better, has been letting him do what he wants and has been paying out parishioners to fund the antics in Servite Fulham and FEELERS Clapham – AND FOR SEVEN YEARS.
Rory’s seven year itch has cost Armagh anything up to. £ 300,000.
But the BIG QUESTION that now needs answered is WHY has Amy humoured Rory?
1. Is it because Amy himself is gay – either actively so or non actively – so?
2. Has Rory or some other Armagh priest got the DIRT on Amy, leaving him unable to act?
3. Is Amy a sexually repressed man and getting proxy excitement and pleasure as he fantasises about Rory and others’ actions?
4. Is Amy “in love” with Rory?

There is SOMETHING stopping Eamon Martin doing the right thing, the moral thing, the pastoral thing, the tough love thing.
Has Rory burst out into tears (as is his wont) and flung himself on Amy’s feet, clasping the archepiscopal calves and begging prayers and forgiveness and another chance?
Has the hysteria of it all given Amy the vapours and had him reaching for his sal volatile as he struggled to cope with a room overflowing with the very wildest anabolics?

EAMON MARTIN is an utter disgrace!
EAMON MARTIN needs to resign or be sacked!
IMPORTANT COMMENT FROM ARMAGH PP
A chara,
Pat whether you publish this or not is entirely your decision. I am a PP in a parish outside Armagh, for almost 10 years, and a priest for almost 30 years. I am disgusted, and can speak for a significant number of my own, in the poor handling by Eamon Martin of a number of the younger priests in the diocese.
My (and numerous other’s) main concerns are Fr Rory Coyle, Fr Ryan McAleer and Fr Stephen Wilson. Fr Rory Coyle If what you are saying is accurate, and I don’t doubt you, Rory Coyle has picked up where he left off.
Was there not a canonical investigation into him? Perhaps I have said too much already.
Fr Ryan McAleer; there was certainly a canonical investigation into this man’s behaviour. I am at a loss as to how he carried on with his immature and sordid activities for so long. I thought the people of Dungannon were able to spot this sooner. It is a relatively well educated and affluent parish after all. I am not sure whether you know, but when Fr Ryan McAleer was asked to provide an account of his behaviour during the investigation, he declined to attend. His years as Advisor for Primary Education reflected a lazy attitude on his behalf. His work was done, but he was lacklustre at best. I think he is a very unstable and unhappy man, who has issues. We should pray for him. Ryan McAleer is still in ministry, as recently as November last year at home in Tyrone. Certainly his use of a gay dating site where he exposed himself deems him unfit in many’s
Fr Stephen Wilson
From the moment I heard of the upcoming ordination last year, I boiced my concern to brother priests. Certainly there were priests from at least counties Tyrone and Armagh who felt that EM made a huge mistake. What is concerning is the arrogance and blatant nature of the individual. I believe money was a factor also. I am also aware of incidents occuring in Leinster/Munster with this individual which would deem him completely null and void as a cleric.
Again Pat, I am not saying that as a priest I do not sin. We all do. But there is absolutely no place in ministry for disgrace. I would support a diocesan wide investigation.
Your brother in Christ

Has Rory got short, bandy legs ? It looks like it in that photo with Amy. What is it that is so attractive about him ? He ginger, he’s bearded, he’s a short arse…… So, what attributes does he have that might be attractive to the likes of Amy ? Or anybody else ? Just asking, like….. His Portsmouth parallel, JPL, has lots more going in his favour, methinks… ! Especially that ‘come on hither’ look he can throw ! Seriously, though, all these thoughts aside, neither of them, it seems to me, should be anywhere near ministry as a RC priest. Neither of them has the slightest intention of being faithful to the public promises they have made to the Church and faithful about being celibate (no matter what we think about the advisability of celibacy). If you promise it, then keep it. If you can’t, then go do something else. Until the Pope says you can get your end away and still be a RC priest. It really is that simple. It is about being honest and having integrity. JPL, Rory, and even Amy if he is entertaining this malarky, are neither honest nor have integrity.

Fr Rory Coyle is wearing Armagh Diocesan Youth Commission in one of the photos you have posted.
This raises serious queries on youth safeguarding on trips.
I have no issue with Fr Coyle being gay, that’s his personal business if he weren’t a RC priest, it’s the lack of integrity he displays by remaining in the RCC along with the RCC propensity for victimising victims that is concerning.

Do you think the shirts are psychically followed everywhere by the diocesan youth who remotely view the Clapham Feelers?
Do you think the shirt is itself vulnerable?
I’m 38 and still have an old Garfield t-shirt that I wear sometimes. Is that a safeguarding?
Your daily reminder, folks that cathbots have NO understanding of safeguarding and in this case have somehow connected a shirt to safeguarding.

A very powerful post, Pat. We hate being taken for fools by Rory on his ludicrous, 7-year long, midlife crisis.
This is a criminal use of the offerings of the poor, using Mass collection money to fund a decadent London lifestyle and then, a few weeks later, Rory sails into a parish as if nothing had happened. His sense of entitlement is stratospheric.
Great comments also by the Armagh PP.

You’re not being taking for a fool by Rory, you’re being taken for a fool by Eamon. In an ideal world, I am sure the majority of priests would like to be priests and be in relationships/be married. Eamon is giving Rory the green light to do this, so why wouldn’t he? Eamon needs a big spotlight on him. Worst thing to ever happen to Armagh. He has a lot to answer for.

It is clear from the Mulvihill correspondence that Eamon is kind and generous, but he needs to deal properly with chancers like Rory Coyle. On the one hand one might say that Archbishop Eamon Martin is trying to be kind and understanding of Fr Coyle but this has gone on far too long and then one compares the complete indifference by Archbishop Martin and all the RC institution to victims & survivors of church related abuse. They all need to close the door on their way out. Fr Coyle has been given so much and to no avail. A bad situation getting progressively more concerning by the day. Clerics appear to be completely self indulgent bullies & hypocrites and completely cosseted and out of touch with reality.

It is very concerning Pat. I am concerned. ++Eamon has also remained silent on Fr. Tom Deenihan’s ongoing persecution of Dom Benedict Andersen, the true Prior of Silverstream. The blog subject in recent days and Fr. Tom Deenihan might have ++ Eamon in a compromised position. Very concerning. ++Eamon is the Primate of All Ireland. Episcopal leaders must lead with integrity. Archbishop Eamon Martin, Primate of All Ireland may look comical in this photo but to victims, survivors and supporters of church related abuse victims, Archbishop Martin presides over a corrupt Irish church that blatantly prolongs the abuse of ageing victims of church and institutional abuse, this is an ongoing human rights issue of international interest. Added to this his teams of ordained and lay church staff & volunteers continue to proactively instigate hate campaigns against victims of church related abuse and their corrupt networks are commissioned to breach the human rights of these victims & survivors on a daily basis. In the meantime, deviant clergy continue to be facilitated and heavily financed by the Irish Roman Catholic Church despite these individuals being engaged in various activities contrary to both civil and canon laws.

If an adult in the Church is hurting you or someone you know you should contact the diocesan safeguarding director in your local area or the local police or social services, other sources of help include Samaritans, Barnardos or Childline.
Abuse includes being called names, having rumours spread about you or being threatened in person or online.

It’s a simple case of indulgent and highly compromised bishops facilitating their clerical twinks with expensive lifestyles to prevent them spilling the beans about what really goes on inside the corrupt workings of this cesspit cultish excuse for a church.
Bad boy cleric Fr Rory Coyle has been facilitated for 7 years to the tune of c.£300,000, he openly has access to youth groups despite his history and enjoys the full backing and support of the powerful and wealthy wheels of the Roman Catholic Church.
Do remember Fr Coyle is only one of many deviant clerics being financed and allowed privileged access to church files etc., in church efforts to seek advantage for their clerics in defence proceedings when victims are taking them to court etc.

Sneaking Dodgy priests around the world enabling them to avoid justice denies victims peace and closure and constitutes proactive and ongoing abuse by bishops that engage in this corrupt practice. New victims are created when these priests continue to abuse in new locations. This could be avoided if clerics were excommunicated so the RC continues to knowingly and deliberately endanger the public without due regard because many deviant clerics know too much so are “calling the shots” on “compromised clerics”.

A very strongly worded letter indeed from the priest in Armagh.
What I want to know is why are so many gay men still joining the RCC to become priests? This is 2023. Surely gay men can live relatively normally now, even in rural Ireland. And if they feel they cant, why not simply move to Dublin, Cork, Limerick, London etc? Why do they need to become priests in a church whose teaching is utterly at odds with their sexuality? I just dont get it.

It’s a cushy life and with better terms and conditions than being a hairdresser or cabin crew. Job for life, no bills, free accommodation, no awkward conversations about why not married, fawned over by old ladies, sabbaticals every few years, study overseas, sex on tap in the seminary and no supervision after ordination, allowing you to go unhindered from bed linen to altar linen. If only people knew what it was like, Maynooth would be back to having 600 seminarians, instead of 12.
What lay person would get the payoff Bill Mulvihill got, or be sent to London, all expenses paid, to do Mickey Mouse courses and be a leading member of the Clapham Feelers? The diocese probably paid for his Grindr subscription.

The answer to your question is internalized homophobia: it may seem perfectly simple but the reality is that in our society you are brought up to be straight and the norm of society is still heterosexuality. The best example of this is gay marriage where the gays are reluctantly allowed access to a straight institution and should definitely be grateful for it.
It is never as simple to be queer as it may seem and it screws you up; that combined with gay predisposition towards spirituality/religion and altruism drive gays into oppressive religion and particularly the bizarre situation you describe so well.

CATHOLIC GROUP SPENT MILLIONS ON APP DATA THAT TRACKED GAY PRIESTS
A group of philanthropists poured money into a Denver nonprofit that obtained dating and hookup app data and shared it with bishops around the country, a Post investigation has found
By Michelle Boorstein and Heather Kelly
March 9, 2023.
“A group of conservative Colorado Catholics has spent millions of dollars to buy mobile app tracking data that identified priests who used gay dating and hookup apps and then shared it with bishops around the country.” “The project’s aim, according to tax records, is to “empower the church to carry out its mission” by giving bishops “evidence-based resources” with which to identify weaknesses in how they train priests.”
“The Rev. Gerald Murray, a New York City canon lawyer who offers church commentary on the Catholic channel EWTN and Fox News, said Burrill being a priest in a prominent role makes any misbehavior “a much greater scandal” and essentially eliminates his right to privacy.”
“The promise of celibacy is a public act, it’s not a private commitment. It’s of public interest when those are violated in a scandalous way,” he said.

There is a mythology among diocesan priests that celibacy and solitude are the problem, and they look longingly at religious life. Anyone who knows religious life knows that it is full of dysfunction, bullying, competition, and people not talking to each other.

1) Priests would always wear clericals – stop the boilerhouse or sneaking into women’s loos to take pictures.
2) No smartphones – they only use them for Grindr, to take pictures of their private bits, or perve on women in ladies’ loos. Only phones to make and receive calls.
3) Holidays, destinations, and travelling companions will be submitted to me for approval. The local ordinary to be informed of their stay, and an obligation to register at their hotels with the title “Reverend” and to wear the clerical dress at all times. I would want to see that they had made arrangements with the local parish priest to attend or say mass.
4) All overnight visitors in presbyteries are to be approved by me.
5) No sofas or double beds allowed in presbyteries.
6) Curfew at 11 pm.
7) Priests to live in a community where possible. Parishes should be combined, and priests live together to supervise one another.
8) All cars are purchased by the diocese and leased to priests. These should be simple cars such as a KIA Picanto or Ford Fiesta. A sticker in the back window identifying them as a priest’s car to stop pulling into truck stops etc.
9) Random drug and alcohol testing.
10) I would call unexpectedly at parishes and stay overnight. Every presbytery should have a bed prepared for me.

I am afraid that priests simply can not be trusted. Control and supervision is the only way they will learn. If they have nothing to hide, they have nothing to fear. They should welcome their bishop’s fatherly care for their souls.

There are similarities in Martin’s behaviour and that idiot clown, Boris Johnston. The appalling behaviour of “staff” being ignored, trying to hide or deny knowledge of serious offences with the slight but tenuous difference that Johnston has been involved in appalling behaviour personally. It remains to be seen, what Martin has been up to, but it would not come as a surprise to me or many others that he will be outed in the coming weeks and months. He is up to his neck in it and his weakness to act appropriately will be his ultimate downfall.

FRENCH CHURCH ABUSE VICTIMS GET REPARATIONS AND RECOGNITION
By Sylvie Corbet
today
” PARIS (AP) — “I came back to life.”
“Like other victims of child abuse by priests, 52-year-old Stéphane said getting an official recognition from France’s Catholic Church of what happened is helping him get better, at last. Stéphane is among 201 victims granted financial or other reparations from the church so far under a process launched last year by an independent French body leading a nationwide effort to address decades of long-hidden, widespread abuse. Hundreds of other people are awaiting review of their cases. Reparations also may include non-financial support.”

Talking of property, why does the PP of Enniskillen want to demolish the parochial house and replace it with a three-bedroom house, when across the street the curates’ house has five self-contained flats (each with a kitchen, sitting room, bathroom and bedroom) but only one of the five flats is occupied. Peter O’Reilly could move into one of them.

It must be depressing for priests to realise that they have become funeral officiants, mainly. Funerals and weddings are the only times they see a crowd at church, and when they comment here about how busy they are, the busyness seems to consist in having to do three or four funerals a week.

My 12 year old son has announced that he’s no longer going to Mass, because he said it’s boring. For the last few Sunday’s he’s been pretending to be sick, to avoid it.
I have to say that I agree with him. It’s much too long, with four or five hymns, three sermons (one at the start, the actual homily, and final words just before the blessing at the end). It takes over an hour and the Novus Ordo is a torrent of words from start to finish, so to a child it must seem like being at an hour-long lecture aimed at adults.
I’m not going to force him to go.

Good decision @ 5:22.
Quite apart from the whole Mass jiggery poker shibboleth, the protracted Mass performance is just a means for a cleric to stay centre stage, enhance his importance, and gratify his own need to be seen as significant.
The sad reality is that many priests actually believe this &hit, and that gullible cathbots swallow it.

We have a young man with Down Syndrome who serves at mass and is as dedicated as possible. One day he was found in the sacristy saying mass with incredible devotion and utmost sincerity. Things clergy hate:
Lay people who are enthusiastic about their faith – see them as threat, bitch about them and undermine them.
The thought that they are dispensable and lay people can do things they can do.
Permanent Deacons
Hard work
Not being the centre of attention- it’s always all about them.
The Bible – they intimidate easily if you are a lay person who reads the Bible.
They loathe lay people with degrees, masters or PhDs in theology
Their bishops – they bitch about them all day long
Prayer meetings
New initiatives which they commit to destroying.

Many of us are compassionate and non judgemental people and are upset when we see suffering in our fellow people. I think Bishop Martin is too close to Rory’s problems and needs to step back. Imo I believe the celibate life is not for Rory and from this the RCC priesthood is not Rory’s calling. I wish him well for his future whatever that may
be.

5.43: The utter imbecilic comment of 5.17 is typical of many, even by Pat himself. Whatever about criticising another oerson for whatever reason, I am not convinced that reducing comments in a personalised, ugly, belittling and sexualized way validates any argument. The nasty innuendo, jeering and denigrating of Archbishop Martin, is, no matter what way you see it, a grossly ignorant, offensive and malicious effort to make a complete mockery of the Archbishop. The vicious verbiage expressed yesterday and today, pretty much by the same commenters over and over again, is morally reprehensible and very ugly. The sad truth is that many of the very vicious, nasty commenters, will undoubtedly have their own dark secrets, yet to be uncovered. And i hooe when this happens, their ignominy will be severe and mortally painful.
