WHAT IS JP LYTTLE AT?

J P LYTTLE

Why, after all this time and coverage, has JPL sent me a solicitors letter?

And why did that letter not challenge the truths I have published about him – but instead seek to scare me with the ICO and data matters?

What enterprise is  JPL about to embark on that he felt the need to have all the information about him removed from the Internet and the public forum?

Is Egan seeking to appoint him to a new position?

EGAN

Is JPL about to apply for an advertised position like a well-paid prison or hospital chaplaincy funded by the state?

Is he seeking a position in a state or private school or in a university?

Is he thinking of applying for a job as a chaplain to a male young offenders centre or a prison?

Is he seeking work in some corner of the care industry – children, vulnerable adults, or those with mental health challenges?

Is Egan going to let him go to a beautiful diocese in sunny California or to some other foreign spot?

Or is JPL thinking of entering a laid-back, amoral, and  Liberal religious order?

The author of this blog smells a rat – a great big rat.

And, if he pulls off such a stunt, and I learn of it, I will, with haste, inform those in that “new placeof his past.

ON THE OTHER HAND?

It is possible, but in my view, unlikely, that JPL wants to change his ways and live differently in the future.

As a Christian, priest, and bishop, I must allow for this scenario and not be too cynical about this possibility.

At the same time, I must be intelligent and realistic about it – especially after other priests and seminarians have pulled the wool over my eyes and pretended to change but did not.

Currently, I do not believe that JPL is suitable to the priesthood – as he clearly and continually crosses very serious boundaries.

He has never acknowledged and apologised for his behaviour – a very bad sign.

I know people who found JPL very likeable and are sad about where he is.

All in all, it’s a sad case – and very badly managed by Egan of Portsmouth.

You’re right, sending Moriarty on a jolly to America to learn how to preach the Gospel from some mad poly group is a waste of time and money. Has he not been preaching the Gospel since he was ordained. With the size of portions dished out there he’ll come back looking like Tessie O’Shea.

Yes, two months in America spreading the Gospel will not lead to any weight loss, quiet the opposite with the big food portion sizes in the restaurants there!

I doubt it, there is too much out there about him. If he sued Pat and lost on the grounds of fair comment it would open the floodgates to his victims to sue the diocese for damages. The insurers will run a mile.

The ordination of Fr Sean Jones has frozen relationships between Kerry Bishop Browne and the clergy.
On the one hand, a number of priests strongly advised Bishop Browne not to ordain Fr Sean Jones. Bishop Browne did not like being told what to do and resentment set in.
Then Bishop Browne, after making Fr Sean Jones sign an addidavit denying what was on this blog about him and denying that the jock pic was of him went on and ordained Fr Jones.

Like

Bishop Ray Browne now sees priestly support for his decision about Fr Sean Jones the litmus test of priestly loyalty.
Many priests still disagree with Browne’s actions.
Fr Jones is a curate in Tralee and by all accounts is very underworked and spends a lot of time on his computer in his rooms.
Bishop Browne forbids any criticism of Fr Jones.
Some Kerry priests think that Fr Jones will not last in the priesthood.
This would be a disaster for Bishop Browne as he has bet his money on Fr King Puck Jones.
Could Bishop Browne survive an “I told you so” outcome?

Cardinal Hume was the beloved of the English Roman Catholic establishment but had he lived longer he’d have to answer for his obsequious and sycophantic relationship with the UKs most prolific child abuser Jimmy Saville (fighting tooth and nail for Saville to get membership of the Atheneum Club), covering up and moving on monk paedophiles and the government intervention regarding Ampleforth admitting any more pupils.
Staggering incompetency and breathtaking poor judgement.
He was a player and having a tincy wincy bit of aristocratic blue blood he milked it rotten.
This much I know he liked pretty seminarians, seemed blind to women and socially indifferent to laymen.

Yes, Hume was a huge imposter. He could get away with it in that era, when things could be kept quiet. I never really knew why everybody thought he was such a saintly man. It was all part of the act. Behind it he was just an incorrigible snob, brought up man and boy in the Ampleforth / Benedictine class system, and with a distain for everybody else. Moving to Westminster allowed him to ingratiate himself with royalty, politicians and the establishment, and he was able to play their game. It has been said that he was able thereby to bring Catholicism in England in to the mainstream. I don’t think so. I think he was just bringing himself and his likes in to the establishment. CMOC had elements of this too, playing the upper class Irish card, and having fantasies about going in to the House of Lords. Nichols hasn’t the pedigree or background of the previous incumbents, but he is very keen on class and background and Oxford and Cambridge, and quietly likes to flit around the edges of establishment upper class gatherings and happenings. I think his mate Wilcox was instrumental in all that with the Henley Regatta stuff, although things do seem to have cooled there a bit. Still, Nichols has developed pretensions and does have a tendency to be dismissive and look down on people these days. And from what ? …. Liverpool !

I see it as an act of charity, which we should all be grateful for, prevention is better than cure, and if those teenagers are indulging in sexual activities, in my opinion, they need protection from disease, pregnancy, and abortion. If their parents have their heads in the sand, are not preparing their children for potential sexual activity, without encouraging it, how lucky they are that sexual health is there.
The prevention of HPV which is the most common STI. There were about 43 million HPV infections in 2018, many among people in their late teens and early 20s. There is a significant link between HPV anal & cervical cancer.
When children come to a certain age, they will make their own decisions, some smart and, others not so, we all did the same, there can be lifelong consequences for some choices, even death.
Now whether the Roman Catholic church should be involved is another question, it should definitely be concerned for the welfare, not only of the souls of their Roman Catholic youth but, also their physical health, not like a Bishop who will be well know for his anathema to the HPV vaccine, if he think being married is a preventative measure of not contracting HPV virus, someone should set him straight.

When it comes to Jewish people, my hometown in Limerick has a shameful past.
In the 1871 census the Jewish population of Limerick had doubled from the previous 1861 census.
It now comprised of two people.
Over the following thirty years the population expanded as some Jewish folk from Lithuania fleeing persecution came to Limerick.
By 1900 the population was almost 200 people.
Then in 1904 some catholic bishop declared that they were unwelcome in Limerick as they were doing the devil’s work.
Their businesses were boycotted, and their properties vandalised.
The boycott may have lasted only a few years, but by 1930 the Jewish population had reduced.
After World War 2 the Jewish population of Ireland (approximately 5000 people) left Ireland in large numbers for Israel.
They’d not suffered in Ireland as they had on the mainland during the horrors of World War 2, but I guess they wanted a home with their own people.
The Jewish Graveyard in Limerick fell into dereliction until 1990 when Limerick Civic Trust restored the cemetery.

The real reason Bishop Ray Browne wanted to move the late Fr. Kevin McNamara — was that he wanted to teach him a lesson and show him that there are consequences to challenging his authority.
Fr McNamaras difficulties with Bishop Ray Browne began with the ordination to the priesthood of Fr. Sean Jones.
And, in a cruel twist of fate, Fr. Jones, was present in Moyvane for the reception of the earthly remains of Fr. McNamara.
In fact, when, Bishop Pat Buckley published on his blog the images from Fr Jones’ Grindr profile that had been sent to him by an ex-seminarian from Maynooth, it is understood that Fr. McNamara urged the greatest possible caution and prudence about the priestly ordination of the then Deacon Sean Jones.
But, Bishop Ray Browne ignored Fr McNamara’s concerns with alacrity.
However, Fr. McNamara did NOT oppose the ordination of Jones.
Bishop Buckley was informed that Fr. McNamara was of the view that if Jones were serious about being a priest, he would agree to serve in the diocese as a deacon for a number of years to take the heat out of the scandal.
But, the Bishop of Kerry proceeded with the ordination of Sean Jones in his home parish of Moyvane with a haste and secrecy that had not been seen in the diocese since penal times.
BISHOP BROWNE HIRED A SECURITY FIRM IN CASE BISHOP BUCKLEY TURNED UP TO SEAN “KING PUCK’S” ORDINATION!
Because, Bishop Pat had been blogging about the allegations surrounding Sean Jones, he was learned from a friend of Fr. McNamara that a security company had been hired to “police” the ordination in Moyvane because there was a fear that I would disrupt the priestly ordination of Fr. Jones in Moyvane.
Images of [Bishop Pat Buckley] were distributed to the security men so they could accurately recognise me..
Bishop Buckley knows this is true, because this was a source of considerable shock to the late Fr. McNamara, when he was told same by a diocesan official.
One of Bishop Buckley’s informants told him that he was told face-to-face by the late Fr. McNamara that one of the reasons Ray Browne ordained the now Fr. Jones was that the aforementioned Fr. Jones had made a sworn declaration that he [Jones] was not the individual in the photographs that I had repeatedly asserted with good cause was Deacon Jones.
When it was put to Fr. McNamara by a reader of Buckleys blog that Bishop Ray Browne ordained Fr Jones to the priesthood to spite Bishop Pat Buckley, the late Fr McNamara did not disagree with that observation.
It is appropriate to highlight at this juncture that Bishop Buckley’s allegations about Deacon Jones were never denied publicly.
Instead, the Diocese of Kerry decided to provide the thin veneer of credibility by Jones’ statement.
When, Bishop Buckley contacted the diocesan offices in Kerry, he was surprised to be told that it was “unkind” of him to publish the photos from Fr Jones’s Grindr profile; however, nobody within the Kerry diocesan offices denied it was the then Deacon Jones.
Subsequently, he has learned that a considerable amount of pressure was put upon Bishop Ray Browne by the President of Maynooth, Fr. Michael Mullaney to ordain Jones.
Other priests in the Kerry diocese observe that Fr. Jones keeps a very low profile. He is conspicuous by his absence.

I would say that HAUSCHILD is behind the solicitors letter. It’s her M.O. and her kind of advice. It has the whiff of a stale NHS scent to me.
A few weeks ago a message from HAUSCHILD threatening the clergy was included on this blog and it contained much the same lingo as the amateurish solicitors letter shared yesterday:
From HAUSCHILD:
Over the past 12 months, concerns have been raised about possible lapses in confidentiality, such as personal details and records of clergy and employees inappropriately shared. It is good practice to remind everyone that there are laws with serious penalties governing the disclosure of personal information. Occasionally, data is shared accidentally, for example, through forwarding emails. It is good practice to report this so that help can be given towards damage limitation and what safeguards might be put in place to minimise the risk of recurrence. Please seek advice as soon as possible if you think this has happened. If the breach of confidentiality is serious, we may need to report it to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and advise them of actions taken. An even more serious matter is the deliberate sharing of personal information. The law changed in 2018. Section 170 of the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018 creates criminal offences relating to the use of personal data. It is an offence for a person “knowingly or recklessly to obtain or disclose personal data without the consent of the controller.” Criminal investigations and prosecutions for the misuse of personal information are hugely damaging, and so we ask for your increased diligence.

I think that by this morning, + Egan, Hauschild and JPL will have realised that the solicitor’s letter to + Pat has backfired. It has no realistic legal standing and is simply an attempt to intimidate, mere puff as someone described it yesterday. It focusses on data protection matters, somewhat chaotically, but they should know that date protection investigation and action is a very long and uncertain process which is likely to produce little or no result. No, this was a blatant attempt to flex muscle and to intimidate. By this morning they will have realised that we all know this, as does + Pat, and they have shot their load with barely any impact.
All they have done is to engender a renewed outpouring of interest and detail in the subject of the letter, namely Power Bottom John Paul Lyttle, who is now all over these pages and very much a subject of discussion, and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. They may well find that because of this new interest in JPL further issues about his behaviour may be exposed. If they had the slightest interest in protecting him and saving him from further exposure, even perhaps continuing with his stealth re-insertion in to ministry, then they have made a big mistake by their reckless and risky course of action. That project has been put behind by months, if not completely scuppered, and JPL’s ‘reputation’ has been further ploughed over, examined, and tarnished. In to the bargain, they have shown themselves to be eminently incompetent, incapable of strategic thinking and planning in order to achieve their ends. It is a masterclass in how not to do things !

It is quite interesting that in all the years of operation Pat Buckley’s blog has never even been in court for libel, let alone lost a case. That is because the blog unfailingly contains facts. There is no doubt that the blog is one of the biggest problems that the RCC in Ireland has. The blog is doing in a huge public service that regular media fails to do. It is a national treasure.
Miriam O’Callaghan (an epic geebag) had Amy Martin on the ropes a few weeks ago on RTE asking why there are no women priests. Amy replied that it wasnt ”in scripture” implying it was God’s will. If any of you has a dispute with another, you should deffo take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people so you get more moolah. 2 The Lord’s people will judge the world but needn’t take any shit until we do. And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases, despite the advice of any sensible solicitor? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4 Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, don’t ask for a ruling from excommunicated bishops whose way of life is scorned in the church. 5 I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? 6 But instead, one brother must threaten to take another to court—to cause fear to unbelievers! I’m so tired of them constantly suing us for our many torts.
7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely successful already. Who would rather be wronged? Who would rather be cheated? 8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters, which is as it should be. 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will inherit the kingdom of God as long as they give generously? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will be ignored by the bishops.* 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were given an appearance of celibacy and ontological change in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
*Meaning unclear, but it is thought to refer to the excommunicated bishops mentioned above.

I am dying to see what the solicitor does as his next move – it’s a game of chess – their move or check mate. I’d say check mate to Bishop Pat!!

Like

Chess you say? I’m not yet convinced that our legal and diocesan movers and shakers understand the concept of ‘Snap’.

I must agree that the solicitor’s letter, whoever initiated it (& JPL clearly gave permission for it to happen) was unwise. I also think that if you take a prominent public position, espousing particular values, if you fall short of them, or pose a risk to others, it is fair comment for this to become known.

The only thing that makes me queasy is the use of the nickname “power bottom”. It is funny but unless JPL has used such language to describe himself, it feels abusive and almost bullying to me, playing to outdated stereotypes of gay men. From the two failed incidents described on here, the priest concerned seems more pathetic or desperate than anything else.

I have a sense of humour and I laughed at the nickname, just as I have laughed at Donald Trump’s nicknames for his opponents like “Ron de Sanctimonious” for the governor of Florida. But I think it’s time to give this nickname a rest and let JPL’s behaviour speak for itself without pandering to any more lurid imaginings. Just my opinion.

George Basil had an Irish toyboy. He is now a curate in Arklow – David Brough. He has a colorful history in Dublin having been caught up in a blackmail scandal by a mail gigolo. The Gigolo recorded him snorting white powder and extorted money from him. Coddle was well aware of the scandal which resulted in his hasty departure from Rathmines. George Basil had a soft spot for him!

Where was the place that they were able to meet. I’m assuming Brough would have done his seminary training in Ireland. Unless he was at Allen Hall or one of the other places in England ? Or did George Basil make quickie visits to Dublin to entertain his toy boy and get an eyeful ?

Diaconate placement in Westminster diocese prior to priestly ordination. A telegram was sent from Basil to Brough on his ordination day in Dublin.

Brilliant question: what next? What is the solicitor going to do? What a ridiculous mess to find yourself in! It’s hilarious! The trouble is HAUSCHILD et al believe their own sense of self importance. EGAN and HAUSCHILD remind me of HARRY and MEGAN they’re soooooo self obsessed that they cannot see reality and they believe their own lies. It’s pathetic tbh.

Oh dear….now Mrs Orme-Paul becomes a little more prominent on a Google search with her photograph and all.
It’s the polar opposite of what was intended. This should be an instructive lesson for all budding solicitors in how NOT to proceed.

Talking about strategic thinking, hasn’t the DUP made a fool of itself these last few days – well, in general really ?! What a riposte to them and their intransigence has been given by Biden and his short cut visit to NI, most of it sleeping. And why ? Well, all the Duppers no responses to pretty much anything. They have made themselves look like fools and idiots, children stamping their feet, and sold out NI and the opportunities that could have come from a more fulsome and meaningful visit. It is clear what the US think about them and their tactics. So, today we have JPL, Hauschild and Egan …… as well as the DUP…… all falling short in strategic thinking and shooting themselves in the foot !

David Brough – had never heard the allegation of connection with a gigolo (can we can him a male prostitute?) and drugs. Very similar to the JP stories. Given what we know now it might explain why Brough was sent to Maynooth and not Rome for theology studies. He was the only Dublin student in his time there. He got through by living for the summers in Westminster where, he claimed, he laid out the Cardinal’s underwear in the mornings.

George Basil was a tart – he only had eyes for the favoured or pretty boys – he eas as gay as the day is long and protected his criminal nonce friends Saville, Soper and other Benedictine perverts – he’d be a national disgrace if he had lived longer.
Elsie owe his career to the bitch fest between Worlock and Hume.
Mind you Elsie was ordained by Marcinkus another homosexual with a penchant for cigars and Swiss Guards!!

+Pat,
What is happening in the diocese Hexham and Newcastle? That scandal seems to be very quiet. Didn’t the Archbishop of Liverpool claim a report would be published by the end of March? We are now well into April and nothing has been reported. Has all the incredible reporting you shared about the North simply been swept under the carpet???

Like

Maybe he is trying to change his ways, Bp Pat. For example, downgrading from a power-bottom to an ordinary bottom.

I’ve never visited Portsmouth, I’m not 100% sure where it is exactly (I know it’s farthest south by the Sea) and I have to admit that I never even knew there was a diocese of Portsmouth, but it is the gift that keeps on giving. When I see that Portsmouth is back in the headlines on this blog, I love it! Don’t get me wrong, it’s tragic and obviously someone needs to step in and sort things out, but it’s fascinating. Can’t wait until tomorrow!

He wasn’t really given great instruction. As an officer of the High Court of England and Wales, he couldn’t deny the allegations, so he had to go off on a circuitous route to try and erase his client’s shameful history from the internet.
