KNOCK WELCOMES PRESIDENT WHO PRESIDES OVER ONE MILLION ABORTIONS A YEAR.

JOE BIDEN WITH FR RICHARD BENNETT GIBBONS

Joe Biden is the president of a country and the leader of a political party that presides over ONE MILLION abortions a year.

The ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH has made abortion and assisting abortion, one of the biggest, if not the biggest sin a Catholic can commit.

And, yet, this week, the RCC in Ireland closed down its biggest shrine and cancelled all Masses to give Joe an escorted tour of Knock – with the escort being none other than the parish priest!

RICHARD BENNETT GIBBONS PP

Was this not a golden opportunity for the RCC to send a massive message to the world- especially with the international media present.

The message being – that the president of a party and a country that kills ONE MILLION babies in the womb every year is NOT WELCOME at the Irish National Catholic Shrine to the Virgin Mary – the symbol of purity, chastity and the woman who had God in her womb?

But of course, that is not how the RCC thinks.

Biden was useful to put Knock on the international map.

His visit will bring more American tourists to Knock and, more importantly, their US DOLLARS.

Biden brings attention and human prestige to Knock, the Irish RCC and its clerics.

And Biden”s visit might even get Fr Bennett Gibbons the mitre he seeks.

Oh, and by the way, did Bennett Gibbons suggest to Biden that he might visit the Tuam Baby sight and have a moment of silence there and whisper a prayer there for the 800 dead babies placed in a septic tank there by the saintly nuns?

I bet not.

The RCC is interested in

Prestige.

Power.

Control.

Self-protection at any cost.

They are a vital part of the international corrupt establishment.

They have hijacked Christ and Christianity for their own evil purposes.

They say they are the champion of babies on the womb.

They took a break from that championing this week to roll out the red carpet for Joe.

And when babies are out of the womb:

Priests can rape them.

Nuns can bury them like Coke bottles.

And it’s all covered up.

In the RCC, it seems the only safe for babies is in the womb.

It’s only like the rest of the Catholic church then.
Hadn’t you noticed people don’t have those massive families any more? Did you think they’d stopped having sex?
And hadn’t you noticed the priests aren’t exactly what you’d call celibate or that the entire episcopate facilitated child abuse?
Next you’ll be telling me you think any of this crowd believe in God.
IT’S ABOUT THE GRIFT, and the fake religion is a front.

Very powerful post, Pat. I also don’t understand why the cathedral in Ballina was tricked out as the stage set for Joe Biden and that other abortion advocate, Mary Robinson. I’m surprised Mary McAleese or Brian D’Arcy didn’t try to muscle in as well.

Like

Former Irish President Mary McAleese and Fr Brian D’Arcy have both been strategically silenced, it’s on occasions such as this US visit evidence of same rears its ugly head.
Church & State, State & Church.
They will never forgive President McAleese for being a woman.
They will definitely never forgive President McAleese for standing up for her brothers rights when it emerged he was abused by RCC entities.
Fr Brian D’Arcy is hanging on by the skin of his teeth as punishment for speaking the truth about his treatment at the hands of RCC entities.

Sleepy Joe and Richard Gibbons were using each other. Joe was thinking of the images to be shared with Irish-American Dems, and Richard seized the opportunity for free advertsing, as you point out. A ridiculously idealised view of Ireland was conjured up and it was noticable that the “New Irish” were kept well out of view during the visit.

Like

Of course the Democrats and the US trade unions historically were pro-slavery, anti-African Americans, seeing them as rivals for the low-paid jobs done by Democrat voters. The Dems only became liberal in recent decades, though they’ve kept their pork barrel politics intact.
Sleepy Joe’s main function was to be all folksy and to attract the rustbelt and Irish American vote in the election against Trump. The metropolitan, identity politics-obsessed, urban elite Dems knew that their preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton, was very unpopular in those constituencies so Joe was the front man in the fight against Trump.
The plan was that Joe would retire after a year, with the second preferred candidate, Kamala Harris succeeding, unelected, to the top job. However Joe, egged on by “Dr” Jill, quite likes being President, even though he’s senile, and Kamala has been a disappointment, so Joe is back on the folksy Irish-American campaign trail once more. The gombeen Paddy Irishman antics in Dublin, Knock and Ballina were just stops on the campaign trail.

Roman Catholic clergy and their cohorts continue to engage in multiple methods of harassment, silencing, slandering & censorship of victims, survivors and those who call out the ongoing abusive conduct of clergy and their so called faithful being a group largely consisting of blatantly compromised and self serving individuals.
it is right that they be held to account for their inappropriate behaviour.
This ongoing conduct throughout the Roman Catholic Church is another stark reminder of how the wealthy & powerful can use their positions of privilege & power to benefit themselves at the expense of others, a thread that remains all too common in Church & State.
Instead of denouncing priests such as Fr/Dr Rory Coyle and many of his Irish & UK colleagues behaviour as “irresponsible and deliberate endangerment”, hierarchy including Archbishop Eamon Martin are spending hundreds and thousands of pounds/euros funding long term expensive holidays packaged to the church donors that fund them as “priest sabbaticals” when in fact deviant priests are off indulging their personal interests at no expense to themselves personally and being fully funded & accommodated by RCC despite the fact that their previous conduct is directly contrary and in conflict with the vows they made at ordination.
In the few cases where lip service and verbal apologies are made by RC hierarchy they do not ring true as ongoing deviant actions speak volumes of the ongoing defiance, deliberate and criminal obstruction culminating in proof of them real lack of commitment to justice by Roman Catholic Church & their self serving cohorts.

Many Catholics and clerics have made abortion into the watermark of who is a good Catholic and who is not.
This is very narrow thinking.
Morality is a great big, complex sphere and cannot be reduced down to one issue.
Christians cannot be one issue moralists.
And abortion itself is a very complex moral issue and those who reduce it to a simple black and white issue are either stupid or malevolent.

Direct (or intentional) abortion is indeed an intrinsic evil, and the Church implicitly defines it so: ‘Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of EVERY procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable.’ (CCC, para 2271)
If every such act is a moral evil, then, implicitly, such acts are intrinsically wrong, permitting no exceptions whatever, regardless of circumstance. The moral ban on this type of abortion is unquestionably a moral absolute.
Such is the intrinsic moral gravity of these acts that the Church ‘attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication “latae sententiae”(“by the very commission of the offence”) to this crime against human life.’

Odd! How the Roman Catholic church clergy are so concerned about the unborn, yet so brutally cavalier with those children once born, brainwashing from the day of Baptism very soon after birth ,First Communion at the so called age of “reason” 7 years old, Confirmation at 11-12 years old.
I don’t believe at any of those stages of Catholicism, has a child any sense of the coercion, manipulation, indoctrination, rights of passage that is foisted on them, initiated long before the their age of reason, it has always being so, and so it will be, is the mantra by many Roman Catholics still.
That’s even before sexually abuse is inflicted on them.

There are many politicians and various high profile people of every profession who support abortion but who attend churches of all denominations. Are we to refuse these abortion supporters access to our sacred places? Most of our government voted for abortion in repeal the 8th. Remember? The government along with American agents organised the trip and chosen places to visit. On the other hand, can you imagine the furore if President Biden was refused visits to the sacred shrine of Knock? AND – let’s be very honest – you, Pat, would have led the charge. The visit to Knock was justified. Fr. Gibbons can hold his head very high today. As for Tuam….a most awful tragedy and one which needs a more thorough, compassionate and just response by church authorities. But to use Tuam in this context of your displeasure at the President not “being invited” to go there is an abuse. Why has President Highins not visited is the more relevant questions.

I think you might be a bit unfair to Joe on this, + Pat. I believe he walks a very narrow and tight line about abortion and the right to life, in which his personal attitude is probably more or less aligned with a right to life perspective, but as a politician with wide responsibilities of representation in a society in which there are numerous interpretations of this issue, he has to find a way that respects both his conscience and the rights, liberties and consciences of others who do not agree with him but whom he has to represent as their elected representative. That’s a difficult gig. As for the RCC, I do not believe that its opposition to abortion is as black and white as is portrayed. Yes, in a general sense it sees abortion as a moral negative, call it sin even, but recognises that as in most moral situations there are a whole variety of qualifying issues, such as intentionality, such as being confronted with a situation in which any action has compromises etc. As I recall, the principle of double effect can be applied in cases where abortion is necessary to save the life of the mother, the intention being to save a life which may necessitate terminating a pregnancy. So, I do think we need to be fair to the RCC about its teaching and see it in a more subtle and nuanced way. As to how it is applied in practice is another case, and might vary from country to country, culture to culture, person to person. Some of the more rigorous application of the principle of the right to life which we see in some places, for example in some US states go far beyond any teaching that you find in the RCC. I would have more reservations about the blatant politicking that Biden was involved in his visit to Ireland and trying to reach out to his Irish / American constituency, as well as the mock twee nonsense Irish caricatures that were flying about. It was a pantomime, in which Knock played a leading role, which is probably fitting given the theatrical invention that goes on there. More significant was the cold shoulder Biden gave to the DUP and the Brits over NI / Good Friday / Assembly / Brexit. The message was very clear, and that lot need to go off and reflect on their idiotic intransigence and colonial / imperial huffing and puffing, and the monumental strategic mistakes they have made, especially with Brexit and removing themselves from mainstream Europe in favour of some kind of go it alone so called world beating Britain ! Dream on !

Hi Bishop Pat,
love your work but this is deeply unfair on Joe Biden.
Abortion in the US has always been a battle between local (state) and federal (national) law. The notion that Biden is happily standing over abortion is ridiculous. It has been around a long time in the US and has only been repealed recently in some backward, religious Red States. But what is true is that Biden rightly approves of abortion. It is a basic right of all women.
The anti-abortion crowd typically includes the following:
(1) RCC clergy – most of whom are gay and funnily enough their only interest in poonanie is to prevent women doing what they want with it. They have NO right to an opinion on this. None whatsoever. They need to toddle off back to Grindr and the Boilerhouse and their usual haunts where they spend all their time with MEN. Nasty men who don’t like women.
(2) Non-clergy religious fruitcakes like the Burkes, Bible bashers in the US, etc. Eff Off. If you dont approve of abortion then dont practice it yourself. What women do with their bodies is absolutely NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS.
(3) Opportunist Right-Wing Politicians. Big problem in the US but thankfully a fringe in Ireland. Most of them, and their supporters, can’t find the countries on a map whose immigrants they complain about.
All three groups thankfully have very limited influence in modern Ireland. Women are not factories for producing sprogs and are entitled to do WHATEVER they want without impediment from ANYONE.

Knock was a complete hoax, dreamed up by a culchie parish priest on the make for a bit of dough and celebrity in his backwoods parish. And he used a magic latern to achieve the magical effect.
It’s telling that the images he projected onto the gable wall of that crumbling old den of religious superstition, the church, never moved. Not once. None of the ‘seerers’ reported any such thing, and no wonder: they were stills, a tableau, from the new wonder the parish priest had indulged himself with by using the pennies from the poor. And, of course, the rustic Irish fell for it. They still do.

To my knowledge, the so-called ‘Marian apparition’ at Knock is the only one of all such apparitions that is entirely two-dimensional, the figures of which neither moved nor spoke a word. There was total inanimation, suggesting not living imagery, but, simply, a picture.
I cannot imagine that any of the Irish poor in the area had ever seen the kind of images that could be projected on to a flat surface by a magic lantern; this, therefore, must have been an arresting and understandable wonder to the ‘seerers’, especially for its religious significance. In fact, it’s possible that the ‘seerers’ had never before seen such a lantern in action, which would have made them more credulous and the picture more credible.
The images on the church gable wall were highly stylised, that is, they were the kind of conventional images one could find in almost any Irish Catholic home of the period, in print, or in statues.
No; the Knock ‘apparition’ was, on balance, an undoubted hoax. The surprising thing is that many people today still accept the claim about Knock without any scepticism at all. Perhaps at least some of them are too afraid to question the claim, for fear of incurring divine wrath.

2.56: Utter nonsense as a comment. Monsignor Horan would have been delighted. Stop this anti Joe Biden nonsense: remember it was the money from IRISH AMERICANS who helped build Knock. Are you so, so embarrasingly ignorant?

‘Monsignor Horan would have been delighted’
So you’re speaking on behalf of the dead?!
Native Irish built knock, not just contributions from American Irish.
What’s your agenda?

Yesterday on the blog we had the spectacle of a lapsed Catholic turned unionist singing the praises of the black and tans. He’s probably commented negatively on Ratzinger’s spell in Hitler Youth with the least blush of irony or inconsistency.

5.22: Are you for real, leprechaun? The wonderful Monsignor would indeed have been delighted. He sought support from everywhere, all for the good and well being of the West. Get a reality check…

Knock is a joke of an airport. Mr O’ Leary loves it for its cheap landing slots. Who else goes there? We know who lands there usually under the cover of darkness and not being a noise risk to any neighbours. We know in Mayo who pays for that runway and it ain’t Ryanair or the government. It’s used as an airport but the runway is only a cover for the existence of the airport.

When the Holy Mother Church Triumphal was looking without any prayer to its facelift, HM trained teachers were legitimating the expectation of predation by asking boys of 14 leading questions about “should there be sex outside marriage”. We knew it was the affair of those involved, their families and chosen friends: it was wrong of authorities to cast doubt on good morals that belonged to most young, while prelates were cosying to Savile instead of counting beads. Now look at Highgate School, Winchester College. (The teacher that organised sessions, previously supervisor of Christian Union, left after carrying on with a boy.)

Contraception murders life as it denies a soul and life to form . Abortion and contraception are both destroyers of human life.

Are you reflective? Look back at your first sentence. It’s illogical. Are you saying life is prevented from forming? Or that life has formed and is ended?
A soul and life? By definition, soul is life.
The overwhelming majority of Catholics have refused reception to the relevant sections of Humanae vitae prohibiting general artificial contraception. Without such reception, the sensus fidelium, the articles of the encyclical are not authoritative.
