My immediate reaction when first reading your letter was to think that it was an April Fool prank.​

I have been receiving reports about your client for twenty years now. Among the clergy of these islands, he is regarded as one of the most promiscuous homosexual seminarian / priest predators in captivity.​

I regard him as a very serious danger to men / vulnerable men in the 18 to 40 age group.​

He has proven this by his activities in at least three seminaries and in the short number of years he has been ordained.​

One of his most recent victims was a young police officer from Reading whom he invited to the presbytery for dinner when the parish priest was away overnight and having plied the young officer with wine attempted to sexually seduce him.​

Your client’s parish priest in Reading regularly complained that instead of being in the confessional on Saturdays, you client spent the days in Reading pubs.​

Some years ago, when your client returned, inebriated, from a gay bar with three other young men, he fell out of an upper storey window.​

A more recent victim was a young heterosexual barman who, using a credit card, shared drugs with your client.​

You client is so dangerous to young men that it an enormous matter of public interest and as the author of a widely read Catholic blog (2.6 million views in 2022) it is my moral and journalistic duty to warn the public, especially the Catholic public, of this great danger.​

In fact, the two victims mentioned above approached me precisely because they had read my blog and had experienced your client in most negative circumstances.​

I must defer to you in legal matters, but I’m afraid your understanding of my journalism is greatly deficient.​

For eleven years I worked for the newspaper with the largest circulation in the UK – The News of the World – as a columnist, story seeker and journalist.​

Previously, I worked as a journalist with the Sunday News of Belfast and the Big Issues of Dublin.​

I have authored three books, written countless articles, and contributed hundreds of hours to radio and TV outlets.​

A brief look at my YouTube channel will inform you.​

As a longstanding journalist it is my civic and ethical duty to inform the public about your client and the danger he represents. This is a major matter I would stress with the ICO in the event of any complaint being lodged.​

I am very perplexed that someone like yourself is involved in helping the Roman Catholic Church to continue to cover up scandal and wrongdoing. However, you are a lawyer.

I doubt very much if you are representing John Paul Lyttle pro bono. And John Paul himself does not have the kind of money you charge. So, obviously, he is being sponsored by either the Roman Catholic Church or a wealthy friend.​

I’m saddened to think that some organisation or individual is willing to attempt to purchase your client a hiding place away from public accountability for his actions – and to leave him free to continue to live as a danger to vulnerable men.​

HOWEVER….​

if your client has recently had a “Dismas” or Road to Damascus conversion and seeks to change his life or embark on a new journey of some kind, I would not be unsympathetic to assisting him by removing some material that might prevent him doing so. But I would need to be reassured that this was the case.​

After all, despite your ignorant salutation, I am a Christian. a priest and a bishop, and am wholly convinced that all of us, as sinners, deserve a second chance – once we are truly repentant.​

This is something I would do with a good heart and because of my faith – and not because you or your client were threatening me in anyway.​

I do not react well to threats and if you want to persist in that manner, I will give you and your client the fight you seek!​

So, if your client wishes to proceed in this Christian, pastoral and Prodigal Son fashion, you will find me a most kindly fellow traveller.​

It is my policy to publish all solicitors’ letters and my reply to them on my blog – and that will happen in this case too.​

However, if your client wants to take the conciliatory route as I outline above, I will not publish such material.​

As a priest of 47 years and a bishop of 25 years, I am very aware of the contrast between the external and internal fora.​

I’m HOLY WEEK we Christians, among other very important things, are celebrating the defeat of Satan and Evil by God and the forces of Good.

When I was growing up, ALL the Church and clergy talked about was the Devil, hell and sin.

Now you hardly ever hear these things talked about.

I believe in the existence of Satan, who is the spiritual personification of all that is EVIL – just as God is the spiritual personification of all that is GOOD.

Do I believe in the creature with the horns, fork, and hooved feet?

No. That is a caricature.

But Satan, being a spirit, can appear in all forms – but generally acts through others – others often unwittingly.

In my 70 years, I have had 3 personal and physical encounters with Satan.

1. At the grotto in Lourdes circa 1981.

2. During my ordination retreat at Glencomeragh in June 1976.

3. In a presbytery in Ossory diocese circa 1978.

Every day in my work and ministry on this blog, I see more and more evidence that Satan has infiltrated the RC institution, episcopate, and priesthood.

When priests have sex on altars, Satan is in charge 😞

I have been a daily Mass goer since the age of 4 – 66 years ago.

My relationship with God is the most important thing in my life.

Obviously, Holy Week and Easter are at the very centre of the Christian year, and these days are very important to me.

The highlights of these days are the Mass of the Lords Supper on Holy Thursday, The Passion of the Lord on Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.

At The Oratory, we celebrate all these ceremonies at 7 pm.

I bless the Holy Oils at the Thursday evening ceremony and with any other priest present, renew my priestly promises.

This is my 46th Tridum as a priest and my 24th as a bishop.

I promise to exercise the ministry of teaching and preaching worthily and wisely, aways preaching the true Gospel message.

Furthermore, in my own life, in every word and deed, I will always try to practice what I teach and preach.

I promise to celebrate faithfully and reverently the mysteries of Christ always and everywhere in accord with the Church’s true traditions.

I promise always to live my commitment to others in a way that is an enduring sign of my love of Christ the Lord and his holy people.

In particular, I promise always to have and to seek only appropriate and wholesome relationships, to observe proper boundaries, most especially with the young and vulnerable.

I promise each and every day to try to conform the pattern of my life ever more closely to Christ the High Priest, who offered himself for us to the Father as a pure offering.

I promise to dedicate myself absolutely and totally to being a true and faithful shepherd of God’s holy people always acting and living in love and service of them.

In particular, I promise to strive to avoid selfishness and materialism and any sense of entitlement or privilege.

So help me, Lord.

Armagh and Clonmacnoise is close to my heart. We Buckleys are from that diocese – Pullough in Co. Offaly. Other close relations – the Dunicans live in Shannonbridge – right beside Clonmacnoise. I spent all my childhood holidays in those places and recall them as quite idilyc.

My immediate thoughts are two:

1. As Chancellor of Meath diocese he has been complicit on the ongoing injustice against Dom Andersen of Silverstream

That makes me question his integrity and morals immediately.

2. He has spent 40 years behind a desk defending Catholic schools.

I think he will be an unthinking, unquestioning, non reflective RC automaton.

That’s what Rome likes. That’s what the other Irish bishops like. That’s what the old ba bas like.

Another Titanic like captain – heading, not for an iceberg but a black hole.

Thank God I have nothing to do with except expose them for what they are and for what they are not.

I’d like to hear the views of priests and others on this appointment.

Here is the source of every sacrament,

I am not the first person to identify serious flaws in the way the Catholic Church deals with allegations of sexual abuse. That priests are living double-lives and contradictions are apparent in the way they actually live with the way they profess to live is not in dispute.

In her scandalous but rarely read 2005 book, Priests in Love, Jane Anderson makes an admission to widespread sexual infidelity amongst Australian Catholic clergy.

The author surveyed thousands of priests promised anonymity and presented a compendium of confessions from men who have turned their back on mandatory celibacy to follow their own consciences.

She rightly observed that “prior to Vatican Council II (1962-65) the liturgical practice reflected the firm belief that the Mass was a sacrifice in which the priest and his actions were distinctly separate from the people. Everything was centred on the priest at the altar.” [1]

The priest was separated from the people and his role was so central to the lives of Catholics that they became revered as cultic leaders, almost the personification of Jesus on earth.

The publicly promoted premise behind the insistence on celibacy was that the priest needed to be as pure and spotless as the offerings that he handled. A vow of chastity was what qualified a man to hold such an esteemed preaching position within the church.

Of course, to maintain this façade, the priest must at least appear to be chaste even if he were not. Bishops, who rely on a number of such willing men to celebrate the daily Mass, will never pry into the priests’ personal lives to determine whether or not he was, for fear of finding out to the contrary.

Today, in Catholic parishes throughout the world and particularly in Australia, men are pretending to be celibate in order to hold the exalted office of priest. They are keeping up the image for a church that is losing its way in secular society. Catholicism is significantly losing its influence with the community and even with its own remnant adherents.

If it were not for its ubiquitous parochial school system and the government grants sustaining them, the Catholic Church would have died out long ago.

The ongoing financial success and academic leadership of Catholic schools are propping up the Church’s flagging identity and topping up the church coffers depleted after endless sexual abuse compensation claims.

But the church still needs to have enough men willing to celebrate the Sunday Mass o give the impression that it is business as usual. It doesn’t matter whether or not these men are in fact celibate, as long as they look like they are.

No one within the organisation speaks publicly about this although most are aware of the hypocrisy.
I should know…

I was one of them.

I can’t believe how niaeve and innocent I was when I entered seminary in September 1970 – 53 years ago.

I really believed that the RCC was good and that the vast majority of priests were good, too.

I continued in that belief through seminary, and when I heard of, at that time, the rare bad priest or seminarian, I was introduced to and accepted that old RCC lie – the “one bad apple” excuse.

After ordination, I was released into the clerical pool.

Within my first year, two senior clerics – canons – and one Cistercian Abbot had tried to sexually seduce me.

I lived with two elderly parish priests who subjected me to extreme forms of verbal and psychological bullying.

I lived with priests who were alcoholics and womanisers.

In Northern Ireland, I was again bullied in presbyteries to the point of being physically beaten.

In later years came the tsunamis of the sexual abuse of children, the Magdalen Laundries, the secret graves of babies murdered by nuns, the rape of nuns etc, etc.

But the other great big scandal in the RCC has been the gradual and now almost complete HOMOSEXUALISATION of the RCC episcopate and priesthood.

The RCC priesthood is now a GAY PROFESSION.

Most of those gay priests are sexually active – and not just with individual males – but in gay saunas and at gay orgies.

Add the FINANCIAL CORRUPTION to all of this, and you now have an RCC that is more corrupt than the Italian Mafia, the Chinese Triads, and the Russian mobsters.

This situation will continue for a long time as the RCC is very rich and powerful.

It will only finish when the last child is abused, the last nun is raped, the last seminarian is sodomised on the monastery kitchen table, the last priest visits a gay sauna – the last foolish pensioner gives the last bishop 5,0000 cash, the last altar is descreated with semen etc ………

The RCC has been crucified Christ every day for 1700 years.

This crucifixion will continue every day until …..

A Waterford priest has informed me that PHONSIE CULLINANE recently hired BAREBACK PURCELL to give a talk to all the priests of Waterford and Lismore !!!

The talk was about St Benedict and the monastic life.

Apparently, Bareback’s address did not involve explaning how to reconcile a vow of chastity with an abbot having anal sex with a diocesan priest at midnight on a table in the monastic kitchen.

In spite of his total disgrace and his forced recognition as Abbot, Purcell brazens it out.

AND Phonsie brazens it out with him.

It proves that neither Purcell or Phonsie have and real morals.

It proves that there are both MASSIVE HYPOCRITES.

Phonsie has shown that he has ABSOLUTELY NO MORAL CREDIBILITY as a Christian, priest or bishop.

He has the moral credibility of a common pimp!

When he spouts about faith and morals, we should laugh in his face.

Dear Fr Basil,

Within the Silverstream Priory CLG Directors’ Annual Report for the financial year ended 31 December 2020, one reads the following:

“The Monastery has received some negative media attention, which may have some negative impact on income for the Company. The actual financial effect this attention could have is difficult to quantify. However the Directors are confident that the Company has the capability to continue its activities profitably”.

With the passing of time, on this Palm Sunday evening I would respectfully submit that the confidence of the directors was misguided, churlish, and hubristic. I confidently make this assertion because I have received multiple copies of that begging e-mail evidencing that Silverstream is in dire financial trouble and possibly facing insolvency/bankruptcy. It really could not happen to a nicer community.

Fr Basil I know you have spent several years sequestered from reality in a French monastery that is very much on the fringes. However, people really dislike being emotionally manipulated. The wilful and deliberate reference to the community having undertaken 40 days of Eucharistic Adoration was crass. You expect this oleaginous sales talk from a sleazy and untrustworthy used-car salesman – not from a community of Benedictine monks.

Benedictine monasteries have always been self-supporting — the Benedictine rule is very clear about that reality. What makes Silverstream Priory different? Silverstream Priory is now in the most parasitic fashion begging for money like mendicants. It is my understanding that the bursar and financial director/director of business development was the gay porn-loving Elijah Carroll. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

Of course, people might be more willing to assist if you had elucidated the many challenges that the community has experienced during the month of March. And, what are the very large expenditures coming up in April? Is the community being sued for Kirby’s actions? Does it have large legal bills to pay? So many questions and no answers forthcoming and the lack of transparency is deeply concerning

Is Bishop Deenihan aware of the dire financial state of the community? Did you consult with your Ordinary about the sending of this begging missive? Did he approve the sending of same?

Is the financial state of the Priory so dire it needs to self-report to the Charities Regulator of Ireland? (RCN): 20080525. Is the company that constitutes Silverstream Priory is insolvent? If so, does it need to make any statutory declaration?

Does the community have the insight to recognise it needs to petition the Holy See for a Decree of suppression? I would be saddened to see it close, because it has provided a rich seam of content from my blog, but, the sooner the place is suppressed the better.

My readership figures go to the roof every time I blog about Silverstream Priory. The monastery was never going to be a success because it emanated from the nefarious personality of its founder, Mark Kirby a man with a nefarious past.

Fr Basil you need to head back to your community in France (if they will have you) and the rest of the misguided young men need letters from Bishop Deenihan (once Silverstream is suppressed) to support the transfer of their monastic vows to legitimate monasteries where they will need serious monastic formation in an authentic Benedictine tradition where they can learn to love the New Mass.

Will the community (that is highly devotional) take on board this the the punishment of the Lord in Holy Week because of its despicable treatment of Dom Benedict Andersen? The community has tolerated the recidivist Dom Mark Kirby and by extension has tolerated: a) his known sexual and financial misconduct over the years is unacceptable; b) the fact that he is treated like a persecuted mystic (some people consider him the Pedro Pio of his age) because he receives “revelations from the tabernacle” is perverse; and, c) his repeated violation of the sacramental seal of confession of both his community and visitors.

In this Holy Week, may the Lord enlighten the darkness that is Silverstream Priory

Roman Auxiliary Bishop Daniele Libanori SJ has been appointed Commissioner of the Family of Mary, founded in 1968 by Slovakian Bishop Pavol Hnilica (+2006) and recognised by the Holy See in 2004.

The reason for this is unknown. Adista.it (December 16) reports that the Austrian co-founder and long-time superior Father Paul Maria Sigl, 73, was suspended as superior.

The community consists of more than 60 priests, 30 seminarians and 200 sisters. It is promoting FALSE APPARITIONS IN AMSTERDAM !

The group is well connected. One member, Monsignor Ľubomír Welnitz, became Francis’ master of ceremonies in 2020, another, Father Martin Barta, is spiritual assistant to Aid to the Church in Need.

SIGL’S MENTOR IN THE 1970S – FR JOSEPH SEIDNITZER – ABUSED 18 BOYS AND SPENT TWO TERMS IN PRISON ‘

Sigl’s mentor in the 1970s was Father Joseph Seidnitzer (+1993) of Graz diocese, a serial abuser of teenage boys over 18 whom Austrian courts sent to prison twice in the 1960s. The anti-Catholic bishop of Graz, Johann Weber, removed Seidnitzer from priestly ministry in the 1980s for disobedience.

JOSEPH SEIDNITZER

Joseph Seidnitzer (Stainz, 1920 – Innsbruck, 1993), was an Austrian priest, missionary, and the founder and director of Priesterwerk, who was convicted multiple times for sexual abuse of boys aged 18 and over (at the time, people younger than 21 years were considered underage). His criminal method was to invite young men into his apartment, make them obedient with liqueurs, and then force them to perform sexual acts. The Tages-Anzeiger in 2010 described Seidnitzer’s life as ‘the classic biography of an abusive priest of his time’: ‘Despite his repeated relapses, the Church sought to cover up the assaults, gave him new opportunities, and simply moved him to other places. He was convicted several times in this process. In 1954, Seidnitzer was convicted to eight months of heavy dungeon (schwerer Kerker) in Styria, in 1958 to one year heavy dungeon “aggravated by a hard bed” (verschärft durch ein hartes Lager) in Innsbruck, and in 1960, after committing two sexual assaults in Interlaken (Switzerland) and fleeing, he was arrested in Innsbruck and again convicted to 14 months imprisonment there. The Church allowed him to found his organisation Priesterwerk (“Priest Work”) in 1973.Although he was suspended in 1979, Bishop Pavol Hnilica rehabilitated Seidnitzer inside the Church in 1991, and after Seidnitzer’s death in 1993, Hnilica renamed his organisation Familie Mariens (“Family of Mary”) and secured papal recognition for the organisation in 1995.

SIGL VISITED GLEN COMERAGH

Father Paul Maria Sigl was born on October 22, 1949 in Natters / Tyrol (Austria). HE WAS ORDAINED a priest on December 8, 1992 in the chapel of the apparitions in Fatima. He is the spiritual guardian of the missionary community ” Family of Mary Co-redemptrix ” based in Rome.

In the photo we see him in the company of the visionary Ida Peerdeman, whom he had the opportunity to meet in 1970 in Rome. It should be noted that the seer prayed for over 20 years for his priestly vocation and was his spiritual mother.

Fr. From the very beginning, Paul Maria Sigl has been one of the main participants and organizers of the International Days of Prayer of the Lady of All Nations in Amsterdam, during which she gives thrilling lectures. Along with Bishop Paul Maria Hnilicy /Rome/ – a friend of John Paul II and Bishop Józef Punt /Amsterdam/, he is one of the most famous ” proponents ” of the new dogma of Mary Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate.

GLEN COMERAGH PRIEST CAHILL – MENBER OF SIGL’S ORGANISATION !!!

Farher Paul participated in the ordination of four men in his Order on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in the Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls, Rome with Father Niall being the only Irishman ordained on this occasion. However, Fr Patrick Cahill, also a Thurles man, was ordained a few years ago and now heads up the Glencomeragh House facility on behalf of the Order. The Rosminian Order, which previously owned and ran, the Glencomeragh house of prayer, officially handed over the building to the Diocese of Waterford & Lismore to run as a house of prayer for young adults.

Sooner or later, the movements and spirits behind Phonsie’s cult house in the Comeragh Mountains would become known.

Many feared it would be the dreaded and detestable Opus Dei, in which Phonsie has some involvement.

But the TRUTH is actually WORSE !

The place is being run by the so-called FAMILY OF MARY.

The priest running Glen Comeragh is a member of the FAMILY OF MARY.

The superior of the FAMILY OF MARY – Fr Sigl – has been suspended by the Vatican, and the FAMILY OF MARY is under investigation.

Sigl’s priest mentor abused 18 boys and was imprisoned “with hard labour” in Austria.

When he got out of prison, he was taken ack into the priesthood, and his organisation, FAMILY OF MARY, was recognised by the RCC in 1995.

QUESTION

Should Irish parents be allowing their 18 year old children to spend a year in this place?

And, just when you think Phonsie the Terrible has done his worst , he rams his big Limerick trotter on the accelerator!

Not only is Phonsie unsuitable to be a bishop.

But in my opinion he is dangerous.

How dangerous he is will emerge over time.
