Jo lived with me in Larne for the last 16 of her life.
She was always a very mild woman.
But I noticed in her last couple of years she was very forthright and didn’t take any prisoners.
Am I following in her steps 😇
Part One 11 minutes.
Part Two 7 minutes.

True Pat, Byrne has settled down and is ministering to his LGBTQ Community as a lay chaplain. Byrne in fairness gave all his clerical shirts to Kevin Connolly. A nice gesture for moving on.

I really thought today was Corpus Christi but maybe not in Larne.
A certainly bias interviewer who does not understand the workings of the Church.
He has such a bias agenda and I hope you tube remove his lies under their code of practice.
SAFEGUARDING is NOT started from diocesan offices 99% of the time it is started in the Parish as each parish has a safeguarding team then it is sent to the Local Safeguarding office team who then deal with the Authorities and no one in a parish or diocesan offices is NOT going to cover up for clergy or parishioners as they are not going to the courts as the perpetrator they want the perpetrators in the courts.
Diocesan safeguarding teams are not Public Protection Officer that would be illegal so the Public protection Officers is the Guardia / Police and Social Service along site the prosecutions teams.
The only 1% is clergy or religious and that does not come to safeguarding that goes straight to the Guardia / Police as a Bishop has a duty to protect the Children and the Vulnerable from these reprobates.
A bishop or safeguarding will NOT cover up as they do not want to go to prison also everything is recorded and placed on the national IT system.
It is so sad to have rose tinted glasses on

Safeguarding is YOUR’S AND MINE, OUR RESPONSIBILITY! !
Safeguarding DOES NOT “happen” in a dark and dirty little office in a Diocese—you only have to read the news to in this latter regard.
If you see a child or vulnerable adult being abused, or suffering for WHATEVER REASON— Then it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY— It’s not down to some random fat slag…! If you fail to protect a child or vulnerable adult—whether that be actively or passively (by doing nothing) then YOU ARE AN ABUSER! FULL STOP! AND YOU WILL BE DEALT WITH JUST AS THE MAIN ABUSER! !
COMPRENDE? GOOD! !

It was Mgr Sean Healy. New VG will be Canon Michael Harrison.

I see Cardinal Marx in Germany seems to have finally seen the light and understood not just the institutional but also his personal responsibility for the abuse crisis and the terrible things that have been done over the decades by priests, bishops and the Church – either directly or indirectly, knowingly or unknowingly. At least he seems to have realised that just by being part of the Church, a priest and bishop, even though he personally never laid hands on a child, he is still in some ways responsible for what has taken place under his watch. You do wish someone like Nichols would truly understand his part in all of this, rather than trying to minimise it and evade responsibility. If he knew what was going on then he is in some way culpable; if he didn’t know what was going on, then he should have known, because that is one of the core responsibilities of leadership. Not knowing is a failure for someone in his position. At least that was the way we worked in the organisation in which I spent my life working, Just saying some kind of sorry is now not enough. Some personal sacrifice is required of people like Nichols. Prayer and penance in a simple life of retirement is what is needed from him. Not a Chiswick pad and back and forth jollies to Rome. And now, not in three or five years.

Stupid response 5.23. The VG in question is in place one year after a new bishop.
LikeLike
@ 5.23pm: You are correct, so ignore 5.37pm, he is talking out of his RCIA. You are correct, the VG/s lose office when the diocese becomes vacant, even if the vacancy is just seconds (in the episcopal ordination/installation) between the outgoing bishop relinquishing his “See” and the new one taking it up. It is up to the new bishop to either appoint the previous VG/s for a time while he gets a handle on things and chooses new one/s later, or to name his new VG/s quickly. It is often wiser for a new bishop to wait and see who he can rely on before choosing VG/s and is a respectful nod to the predecessor to allow the previous one/s to continue for a time.

Why did Oakley hate the VG?

Why do you assume Bishop Oakley hated Mons. Healey? I think a change after 20 years is healthy for the diocese and the priest. No doubt Healey was glad to stand down.

Elsie will not be troubled one bit by Cardinal Marxs resignation – he’d be bemused by the ‘suddenly he’s got a conscience’ routine – Elsie was ordained by Marcinkus, mentored by Worlock and chosen by Hume – he is a deeply ruthless and committed company man whose reward will be; Chiswick Pad and Conclave – v likely in post for another 4-5 years.

It is a mortal sin to allow a child to be indoctrinated in ANY religious school, especially Roman Catholic.
NO child should be baptised, confessed, or confirmed until it is at least 18,or old enough to know the insidious nature of priests.
Could I choose to go back in time, I would never allow myself to have come under the malevolent influence of the Roman Catholic Church.
